Colouring Hair Extensions At Home Or In The Salon

How to colour hair extensions in the salon or at home and get a perfect result.

Let'S talk about coloring extensions, so on the floor we have a black plastic bag, always use protection, so the net. The first thing we need to be at bear in mind is that they need to be brushed through. So if brush these extensions through okay and we're just gon na put a slightly ashy tone to them, we've got over here we're gon na tone them with Redken jcq. So we've got our shades down here. So it's really really important that when you apply color to extensions that you're very, very thorough these particular extensions are extremely thick, so we're going to have to put the color on both sides. So I'm going to color one side, I'll flip it over and I'll make sure the saturation is going through. Both sides. Okay, make sure they're well brush through get a big brush. You apply lots of color. You apply some more product job done now. We just need to let it process process the extensions now and, as you'll see, there's still a bit wet, but you can see that there are a lot more ashy, so we've got a nice ashy tone, there's still that lovely, blended root stretch in there now, the Best way to dry, your extensions is, with one of these place them over a coat hanger fund them out and leave them to air dry. Okay, and if you like, a little bit of texture in them, this will also bring out a bit of the texture, because they'll dry, like natural curly hair, we'll put them all on the same way. Probably do them one at a time as well. Don'T put them all on at once, because they could end up getting matted together or nutty, because the clips on the back of the hair extensions could catch and that won't be good for them either. So just you know treat them with as much care as you can when they're wet, because hair when it's wet is, is at its most weak and you're, most likely to damage it find somewhere that you can let it to dry. No one would know that they were meant to be there. I hope that helps. That is how to color your hair extensions anywhere at home in the salon, wherever you are things, you'll need plastic bag, gloves something to put your color in a big brush and then just really really liberally apply the product both sides and give it a little brush Through try not to break the hair when you're brushing it through, be gentle start from the ends of the hair and work up to the roots when you're, brushing and you'll be fine.
