Raw Curly Hair Extensions Pros & Cons + My Favorite Hair Company

Look at the difference between this. You know it's imperfect and that's the beauty in it hi everyone and welcome to my channel my name's gwen for those of you who are new here and i basically talk about doing everything on a budget and that ranges from hair to makeup to do-it-yourself projects. So if you guys like that, then you're more than welcome to subscribe lately, i've been doing a lot of things geared toward hair, because i love hair and i've been basically into hair extensions for so long. So someone in my comments messaged me a few days ago and they asked they were like what hair extensions you use, and i noticed that i mentioned that i use raw hair in all the videos and i realized well. I'Ve never done a video on my favorite hair company and i'm like wow. That'S strange, that's what this video today is going to be about. So, let's just start from the beginning. What is raw hair, so what i found was raw hair is exactly as the name applies raw unprocessed 100 human hair. When you think about unprocessed this means, it has not undergone any chemical heat or steam processing. Raw hair is the most purest and natural form of hair available on the market. There you have it that's. Basically what raw hair is a lot of virgin hair. If you see like the grade a grade 9a, whatever that hair has been processed, a good way to tell is, if you get um two bundles, that are exactly alike, that's a dead giveaway that it's most likely uh processed hair. Now all processed hair is not a bad thing like raw hair has its pros and cons, and we're going to get into that today. Like i said, all raw hair is not good and all virgin hair is not bad, it just depends what it is that you're. Looking for and what you're looking to do with the hair, so i wrote a list of pros and cons on a male and then i'm going to talk to you guys about my favorite raw hair company and i have some hair from them um as well. Okay, so first we're gon na do what we always do and that's gon na be to start off with the cons, because we like to end on a good note on this channel so number one is that it's real raw hair right. So to me, that is high maintenance. If you like something, you don't really like um taking care of it or not taking care of it. That sounds really bad, but if you're a person - and you know yourself, if you're a person who likes to just put their hair in a bun at night, with your extensions and go to sleep and wake up and your hair is fresh, it may not be for You only because raw hair is, i would say, it's high maintenance. You got to take care of it like it's, your own hair right, because if you guys see this texture, this is like a natural hair texture, which i love this. You know the hair that i'm having right now looked exactly like this, but it was a little bit looser curl pattern, but it was just this dark and we're gon na get into the pros of it later. But it's just like this. If you don't take care of it, look if i just run my hands through this really fast beautiful right. But if you go to sleep, it's gon na be mushed up and then you wake up and you got ta brush it. You got ta moisturize it. You have to comb it out. You got ta detangle it. You got ta deep condition it. If you don't do all those things your hair is gon na get really dry. Looking and i found because i have done this in the past and honestly, the hair will look dry. It won't look at its best potential. You know, so you have to take care of the hair okay, so the next con i have is no two. Bundles are alike now the reason i put this as a con, i really only wear, i would say about a bundle and a half, because these bundles from this particular company - oh they're, thick right, they're. I think they're like four ounces, which, if you buy hair a lot you know the average is about 3.5 ish ounces and i feel like she gives, like maybe 4.2 ounces. These bundles are super thick right and if i just get a sew in from here down and micro links, only a few rows three rows at the top. I don't like to have a lot of full hair. Sometimes sometimes i do i've gone full before like here. This was last year's birthday because i went long so i had to do full anyways. I don't want to get off track, um, no, two bundles are alike, and so, basically, if you do like your hair, full or, let's say you're trying to get a full sew-in with a closure or you want a full um, a minimum leave out sew-in where you Need two bundles or you're just going longer and you know the longer the hair, the shorter the bundle or the track. So you need more, it's gon na, be you have to ask her or whatever company to hey. Can you try to give me two bundles that look really identical? You know, but um they're not ever going to be fully identical, but you can ask like hey. Can you give me two bundles that look super similar? You know and that's because they're coming from someone's head um, which probably sounds kind of crazy, like coming from someone's head, but that's that is what hair extensions is really you know, and this is coming from a person's hair, and so no two people are alike and Just like no two people are like the hair on their head is not alike. You can find some very similar, but they're not going to be alike. This isn't too much of a problem for me, because sometimes you can find them really similar, and you know what the honest truth is that, especially if you dye your hair or you manipulate your hair or you just get older, our hair naturally has different parts where It'S like normally, my hair is super curly at the root and then, when you start to get to the ends, it gets a little bit looser. So that's what i find it mimics, the raw hair really well, but i put that as a con, because if you like two bundles or more, i mean good luck, finding identical bundles, you can find them close, though. Okay, those are my only two cons, because raw hair is, in my opinion, the best hair to have if you got time in your hand, to take care of it. Okay, let's get on to the pros, so the pros are no shedding when i say no shedding. What i mean is that it's literally the least shedding - and this could be from this particular company - it could be look at that curly hair. Only this came out when i just ran my hands through the whole thing that is this is this: is it guys so very minimal shedding? Once again, this is all that came out. You got ta, see that one little curl, probably not, because this hair is fine. Even though it's super curly, like mine, um, i know before i got into raw hair when i was in high school, i would get beauty supply store, hair guys. It was not cute for me at least, and it was shed a lot. You know this hair. I found very minimal shedding period. Okay, my next pro is gon na, be the lifespan i've had this hair. I want to say for about not even kidding you guys since last year, on my birthday, this hair, i'm gon na pop up a picture of what this hair looked like on my birthday, and this is only one bundle. I had almost two bundles on my birthday. So this is what this hair looks like right here. As you can see, this hair was super dark, okay and it was luscious then, and it is luscious now, even after all this color - that i've done to this color multiple times, okay, the lifespan on this hair. If you take really good care of this hair, that goes back to the conditioning the pudding treat, i put treatments on my hair, like i do my natural hair. If you take good care of this hair, it will last you years and i'm telling you like. I do get different bundles because, let's say like you can see that picture back then it was super long and i really am like a shoulder length girl at heart, so i get long hair wear it and then i cut it. So i decided hey. I want to go long soon, so i went back and i got another long bundle. So the lifespan on this hair is a very long time just make sure you're taking good care of it. I have had raw hair that i've had for like literally three years. I'M not even kidding, and my husband asked me the other day he's like do you, because i pulled some hair out the woodworks like about to bleach it for the micro links at the top and he's like um. Do you save all your hair and i'm like for the most part? Yes, because i get really good hair, so i do save it. The next pro that i have for this hair is that it can take color like nobody's business, and i didn't write it can take color like nobody's business, but i put color because this hair, like you guys see this, this hair has legit come from this color. This is what this hair looks like: curly still, really nice and curly and cute. It was super dark and it was able to make it to this. I like a little dark pieces for a little bit dimension, but it was able to get to this color and when i say i've had to bleach this hair multiple times, because i literally would like i'll get it to the point where it's like golden yellow. I would put a toner on it. The toner would end up being darker and it would be like a permanent color, so i would have to lift it again and - and i probably wouldn't have thought again - i could probably just put a high color on it but anyways. My point in saying that is that i've bleached this hair multiple times and it still curls up and it still feels lovely like it still feels good. It still looks good, i think olaplex. I use olaplex on this hair and yeah. So if you're looking to do really like blonde colors or to just keep hair for a long time, i definitely recommend getting raw hair. Another thing um that i wanted to say that's a pro - is that it kind of reminds me of my own hair, so my hair between these two textures, i'm definitely more of this texture, but i am even more uh kinkier than this. The thing that i like most about it is like when you're looking at this hair right, you see that it looks frizzy you see like this is a picture of a perfect curl like those is a deep wave hair right. Look at the difference between this and like this picture, for example like it just has character to it and it gets frizzy and it's not perfect and it's gorgeous and it's not perfect. You know it's imperfect and that's the beauty in it like. I honestly think that it mimics our own hair. You know it's like you won't find two bundles, that are exactly alike just like our hair and when my hair gets frizzy, the extensions get frizzy. I mentioned that in another video, but that's like number one. Why? I love it because that i can do as many colors as i want, and also because, if i'm like out and about if i am like living in a humid area and like i go out and like humidity hits me, my weave is gon na frizz. Up too, if i'm like out and about and like there's a mist of water from like a slight rainstorm, my extensions are gon na curl up like my own hair and it's a beautiful thing. It'S almost non-detectable. You know obviously texture matters, but almost non-detectable guys and that's the number. One reason why i love this hair, and so the last pro that i have is that it's a good blend for afro hair. This is uh, they say it's indian hair. I just know when i straighten this hair, you guys i'll get really close to the camera. Don'T almost spill, my coffee, my hair, so my hair needs a deep condition like just going to be straight up with you guys, but i get really close here. This is my natural hair straightened and then this is the extensions. The parts that's a little darker and orange, which i have to tone, is the extensions it can really mimic your natural hair texture, so it blends really good with afro hair, and that again is like the number. One reason why i love it. I'M sure we've all seen people who get um extensions and it's like not really the blend, like their hair, looks more coarser, even when you straighten it, like i remember, being in high school, and i would have to straighten my hair to the freaking point of breakage To get it to match my hair extensions, not anymore. Now i put this flat iron on like 370 390 and it doesn't have to get super bone straight. Like you guys see this, this is not super bone straight. There'S still a little bit of texture in this and there's texture in this so and it looks fine like it doesn't, have to be perfect, and i love that it is a good blend. If you have afro hair, if you don't have afro hair, you have more like wavy hair, like i find this hair, if you're indian, like get this hair like like, if you have textured hair, this is going to be the best hair, because you have separate donors That can look like this loose wave. You got hair, that's tighter! You can get this one okay, and that brings me to why not just talk about this particular company, so i've been buying my raw hair from a company called viva day, hair collection and i found her on instagram because going back to the whole budgeting thing one. I love extensions and two sometimes extensions can be expensive, and so i don't like to spend over a hundred dollars on hair. If you guys know raw hair, you guys know that prices can be up there. So i found her on instagram, just hashtagging raw hair, dmv or whatever, and found her and her prices were super affordable, like this bundle was, i think, like a hundred and and that's because i've got it on sale, because i don't miss a sale, especially not for Hair but yes, 105. This is a 22 inch guys when i put this in, i don't know who i think i am, and i i probably won't, keep it that long. So i love their company great customer service. You guys already know from what we talked about the pros of raw hair. That'S all she sells is raw hair, nothing, but the best good prices really affordable, um they're right in a dmv area. I think i had one problem one time where i ordered hair and i actually measured it out because it kind of looked like these two and i was like oh my gosh - is that a is that really an 18 inch? So i had to pull out the ruler and i measured it and it was not, and so i contacted her, it was right before my birthday and i contacted her. I'M like oh my gosh. This is not 18 inch like i have a appointment coming up. Is there any way that i can like and she like accommodate it to me right away like i'm not even kidding it's the best customer service and they're gon na give you nothing but the best product? This is a like. I said a 22 inch. This is a 16 inch and you guys can just see like i've been showing you this whole video, how different these curl um textures are so a little close up. This is the hair super pretty! Oh, my goodness! Oh my! Yes, this is it and then this is the shorter bundle. If i wanted to just put this in my hair, like it will look like it's on my hair, i'm telling you guys, especially with my method of install, like i don't know, if you guys saw my micro link, install video but go check it out. If you haven't because um it's good for me anyway, so that's pretty much the extensions viva day, hair collection, really good customer service and nothing but the best product and guys i've tried so many hair companies and i'm telling you they are really good. One more thing: um: they also have different kind of textures. So this is the viva day curly, and you can see this is a 22 inch. The longer you go, the more looser the curl pattern is going to be, so this is a viva day curly. This is a viva day curly, but this is shorter. This is longer so this is a little bit looser of a curl pattern. She also has patterns that straight raw hair and also blonde raw hair, so definitely check them out. If you order from them, you definitely won't regret it.
