I Wore Bangs For A Week...Hairstyles For Bangs - Kayley Melissa

Everyone Kaleigh your friendly neighborhood hairstylist here and today I am wearing bangs for a whole week. Yay. I don't know if you guys read the comment sections, but there is a very small, very strong army of people that have bangs and want me to do. Bang hairstyles. I'Ve heard you we're doing it today. I was thinking about this cuz. I saw the comments I knew have to make a hair sale for bangs, but also like I haven't had bangs since I was 7 years old. I don't remember what that experience is like, so I decided to combine bang hairstyles and trying wearing bangs again for the first time as an adult together into one video, so hairstyles will be worn for a week. I'M going to test my hypothesis that you can do pretty much any hairstyle and just leave the bangs down and I'm gon na see what it's like to actually have bangs, because I remember correctly, it's a lot of maintenance and to help me in this endeavor. I am going to have Anna Laura, obviously hello, because you have the long hair I do. I have the short hair and together we're gon na knock. This out on a few days. Is we're gon na be a week between us yeah, because that way I can keep filming more videos yeah. So, okay, you gave away our secret, but it's died. It'S gon na be a fun time. I think so. Hopefully I don't end up looking crazy. We will see. I have brought some friends to help us in this endeavor. Oh, we have this set of clip-in bangs another similar set. These are cut to be side bangs. We have this kind of shag bag. Oh, I wear that one is Joyce, oh yeah, so these boats that we're gon na be using today are from the hair shop. You can buy them online and they are really good. These are definitely like if you're committing to a bang, hairpiece they're, not cheap, but they are good. These are real hair. I'Ve actually colored them to match our hair. Well then, it works out that I color my hair to match you out well you're gon na start us off with day one so alrighty we're gon na start off nice and easy yeah and do a little half updo situation. Okay, I'm just gon na give you like general guidelines and let you create from there all right. Well, I've got this fun little like corduroy cropped shirt. I kind of want to like embrace my hipster vibes with oh okay yeah. You got it or even you, alright! So we're gon na start with a center part. First, things first is to put these bangs in so actually fun. Fact. I found out about these big pieces because, when Lea Michele was on Glee in the first season, they used these on her to see if they liked the bangs, and then they ended up cutting them for the rest of the series fun story, this gets clipped into The hairline here like that, then you basically part the hair to match this bead and you clip it in and you let this piece down, and that looks a lot better on this side. Whoa. Oh, I think I cooked these in a little high in a little off-center all right. Hopefully, while I fix this mess there, we go and you go back here. So this is the version of me that probably lives in like a downtown area. Both visits and understands art galleries - I don't hate it though the edgy er. Is it cooler or do I look younger? This is really throwing me for a loop here. I don't know what to feel so. Half up, let's just like put a little clip up to hold it there see. If I like the shape on me or not, I made a mess. I mean this needs to be cleaned up a lot, but I kind of like it here not being super precise here, I'm brushing the hair up and then I am pulling parts of it back down until I like how it looks elastic time and then we're just Gon na pull these pieces apart, I'm gon na pin this elastic right here. The way it is and I'm gon na use a Frenchie to do it. These are flocked, hair pins and they just hold things really well. Now we create the bun, I'm gon na go for just a fun little messy, wrapped bun, so I'm back combing, so I can make a little puffball puff fall has been achieved. I'M gon na have to call out these earpieces. While I like the way that they're made, I like the way that you could part them. They have good quality, hair, blah blah blah. It'S a chunk of hair and it's you know thicker than real bangs. It'S set onto a base, so that can only go one way: they're just a little bit harder to style and work with it's not bad. It'S just something to call out, because it does limit a little bit of what I could do go. Let'S give myself a little pearl here, so I can get somebody want to know how to flat iron curl. I have numerous videos on that hey, so I added in a little Kristin s, French pin just to give it a little something-something anyway, I'm into it. I, like these kind of barely there curls. I like the messy bun. I really like the bangs. Are you done yeah come see it? Oh okay, through the back. I love this. This looks very cute, very natural. Thank you. Should I get bangs we'll see how this goes so goal number one of the video trying hairstyles out in bangs achieved for today. The goal number two wearing bangs not yet achieved for today. What we wanted to do to give you a little sneak peak into living with bangs, is to vlog a bit you guys can check in. We can tell you how we're feeling, whether or not I'm ready to rip these off my head at the end of the day, like that kind of thing, I'm interested to see like yes perfectly styled. It looks so cute, but like what about in a few hours when, like the hairstyle is like died down a little and you've taken your naff yeah right now, you gon na wake up like this alright. Well, that should be fun. I really want to go to Target to look for video Kristin s-stuff. So can we can we do that yeah? Let'S do it. Let'S roll out! Oh super Yeol. The funny thing is that this is actually minimal for me when it comes to Christina just a few things, hello, I'm back from my nah. It was a particularly good one hit that REM sleep so hard, and I don't know that the bangs impacted my sleep at all. I could fall asleep standing up so like, but I haven't bothered me. I really have kind of forgotten they are there the only time that it's ever been a self-conscious thing for me is when I'm out and about and I'm afraid these guys are. We gon na start doing like this number. So, aside from that, I meant to it. The Bachelorette girls are gon na, be getting here soon, so we'll see what they think Hey once again much later in the day, I have not made it through bachelor night. The bangs are not bothering me, I'm doing great, oh no, if they're my loop, but it's been a good first day with the bangs, I'm not mad at it, but I am ready to go to sleep. So let's just do the honorary removal of the bangs. Now we're gon na sleep, see you guys tomorrow, all righty today I thought it would be cute for you to do a nice little high ponytail with bangs, because that is one of my favorite looks on girls with bangs. I also live in ponytails, so this seems like a very good aah. We got some comments where people were pointing out that your ponytail game is really fire and I have to agree. Oh my gosh well, thank you guys can't say anything other than a lot of practice. I'D like to thank the practice, I'd like to think the arms okay, so I thought for today you could wear the Joyce bangs. Oh my gosh! These are the ones that I put on you for a stranger things, and I was thinking because a lot of the inspiration images we looked at had these kind of longer pieces on the sides yeah, and you don't have that from your haircut. You could put this on and pull some of it back into. The ponytail can release and some of it can come down. Doesn'T this look like? I don't know it like a toupee, they just like flies around and grants wishes or something all right. Let'S do it. You look like you escaped from the seventies, Oh even with that you're like so Farrah Fawcett right now. Oh all right! So everything else goes up into a ponytail. Do you want me to coach, or do you want to try? I think I can do this. So this is giving me serious flashbacks to middle school when I don't know why, but I was just going through like an early life crisis, I guess, and I decided to get bangs cut my hair all the same month as I got braces on, and that was Just not a cute time for me in general. Let'S try and straighten these out a little bit, what's not equipped for bangs. When I got them, I ended up just wearing them pretty much close back the whole time. I rocked a really nice side bang for a while. That'S how I styled it in middle school, and this is what it turned into in middle school. So I don't know if this is really the best idea for me to be doing by myself. Okay, we actually don't think this looks that bad right here. Okay, I think the problem is that these are curled and towards your face. These hair pieces are not the easiest to work with. That'S exactly what I was going for. I don't think that's what you are going yeah. It was now go outside and let people see you, I don't believe you. I love it. It'S really cute alrighty! Well, it's time to take you out on the town and your cute little hair. Let'S do a ceilidh. Remember the last time we were here it was summer and warm and beautiful and we're drinking boba. It was so wonderful, and so I wanted to come back and now I'm good. So how are you feeling about it? I mean this is where I live. A ponytail is like totally in my court here, so I didn't the bangs on really hasn't done much other than like literally poke my eyeballs out. There is one hair yeah there there you and I think it's your hair too, so you can't just pull it off. It is my hair every time I pull it, I feel it do you thinking you Eddie's, looking at your bangs, everybody lighten it to get great, I feel self-conscious at all. I don't think mine look fake at all yeah, so I was kind of messing with my ponytail and I think I'm a Obama messed it up a little bit tried reclip in it in, but I definitely have a massive bubble in this. So I've done something wrong here. He helped me. I got a little pepperoni over here. Well bless you! My ponytail is actually insane, so I'm gon na turn this into a little top. Not this is not sitting the way that Haley had put up on my hair, but we're just gon na need to go with this. Just got home from dinner. Were these the whole time? I don't think anybody thought anything different other than I was just a gal with some bangs it's time for these bad boys to come out. So it's been about eight hours of wearing bangs. For me, oh my gosh, I'm an actual palm tree right now. Super glad that my first day of bangs has come to a close, not really looking forward to my next day of bangs, but we're doing it all right here we go. Oh right, are you excited for today? I want to see you put together something with this texture already, obviously the bangs and then show some work, the heavier than that I am Bert, our middle of the week, you're actually doing another hair sale too after I get this in. Oh wonderful, hehehe, new hairstyle. Today, first I'm gon na get mine in alright. You can go. Take a little break. Okay sounds good. You got this one, which is like a fun little shag bag. That looks like a mustache for a walrus and I already have a central part which is perfect. So I'm just gon na wiggle our on in there and clip it down now, because these long pieces are hanging out with my pieces, imma curl them all right. I think I'm just gon na move horizontally across the hair. So now I'm just moving on to the bank pieces. We'Re gon na hit them with a little bit of straightener action. I'M feeling a little bit like Jocelyn from shits Creek. I'M not gon na lie. Oh Moira. I don't have a mirror, so I'm gon na use my phone. My phone doesn't recognize me awesome. Oh wow, maybe a headband! Well, thanks list! Okay, I have selected a hair scarf. Look how cute we're just gon na take this up in front of the ears and I'm just gon na clip it, and then this stuff is already section, so you can just put the scarf on. Obviously, you don't have to do the sectioning stuff if you're, using a headband and in that spirit, I'm going to clip back this hair to and put the center on the top wrap it and cross it around the back and then title top / slightly to one Side and take all the clips - and you know what, because hair is hanging down some bobby pins in and in back here, because the headband is trying to slide back. So I'm putting them in from the back to make that impossible, and I think I can show Anna Laura, I'm not sure I did it. I look cute you really Hughes, okay, cuz. I feel a little weird, well Kaylee you're wearing bangs. Oh I don't like it. This is all part of the challenge Kaylee. What did you expect? I feel like a different woman for you, sis, yeah you're, doing some double braids whoo. Look at that little cutie! This is fun. You can do this one and bring it back even a try. I'M gon na I'm gon na help make sure that this happens successfully before this or HIV center part yeah. You absolutely need a center part, or else you will be Gosselin. I would know I look like my mom is that why we're so weirded out by it? It'S not that I can help. Also look. I just go with the t-shirt. Okay, no, it's a lot better yeah, I feel better now, but you see I did the braids in the back of my head, like I'm so proud of you, you know Laura is making up so much. I kind of like it. Oh, you, like it better, like this finish the rest, so are you feeling cute? I feel like this is a really cute way like if you have a good, so we're double braids. I think it's a good also. You have to braid the bangs back and then for what you want out: yeah cuz. If this wasn't a hair piece yeah and you could move it a lot more easily, you could pull more of this yeah back and you could make it even more feathery. Anyway. All right cool, successful, braid day 3 - let's go, take it out on the tan. Do it you're simply been Ledo? Are you doing? Okay up there, sis's things are killing. I don't like to have like phantom hairs like crazy all right below my shoes, yeah girl. Look at that pointy toe also look who changed your headband yeah. I like this dress better me too literally, without rid of that come from. Can I have more Spencer. You know I can have some cheese. Thank you. Thank you. Stop you actually look so cute I'll. Be sure yours, I went in line with my same hairstyle and I'm not sure about it: okay and then just drove away. We are supposed to be vlogging in our bangs throughout the rest of today. I'M not feeling this hairstyle, I'm seeing people later, I'm not into it. We are removing the bangs Anna Laura can find out later when this video is getting edited. I have nothing else to say about that. Listen I put myself through a lot. I do a whole lot for these videos, but I love my little curly hair texture right now and I just want to enjoy it Sam's bangs, so we're going sans bangs I'll check in with you guys on another day for more living with bangs realness, okay, ie. What do you think of my bangs we're about to go to the grocery store now, so all right dinner is done now, it's time to relax, I'm not gon na lie. I'M getting kind of a headache from these clippings been a day of getting things stuck in. My eyelashes and pulling my bangs out of my mouth and it's been a lot all right, y'all, I'm out for tonight, no more bangs. For me, hello, it's the last day of bangs and anta. Laura has left the building. She is once again leaving me behind as she goes to cavort around and have fun elsewhere, so I'm gon na do my bangs on my own today, and because I'm doing it on my own, I'm gon na make it the most me I possibly can, because I Feel this video has very much been missing a braid also. I would like to call that this blue sweater is from Target last time I wore it in the video. We had some questions about it, so why not time for some bangs? I think, let's go back to our classics, a little Lea Michele! You guys know the deal at this point right guys. I just binge watched all of the circle and less days than I want to admit, and it's one of my new favorite reality TV shows. Have you watched it? Do you agree sound off below, I feel like I have to mention it, because I literally had a dream that I was on the circle last night and it keeps replaying in my head and I just needed to tell somebody about it. So today, I'm just gon na do kind of like Anna Laura's hairstyle, the other day where she had the two double braids, but I'm gon na make it my own. I'Ve got my hair split in half. I'M gon na clip this side out of the way I'm gon na. Do a braided circle in then take a little piece up here: we're gon na braid diagonally back till I get to the nape of my neck and then I'm gon na braid, the rest. Normally, when Anna Laura did this, she did her braids, basically completely in the back of her head and swept all the other hair up and into it. For me, I'm actually starting up at the hairline, which is a little bit riskier, but we're gon na try it, and I want braids today the Bradys braids that have ever braided, so I'm taking tiny pieces of hair. As I go that way, we have lots and lots of links which will give us a little bit more attention against which to pull the braid apart, more fluff, a little more dimension, alright, and now we're gon na pull it apart. Okay, because my hairs are a little bit shorter and I can feel that things are a little bit treacherous like it doesn't feel as secure as it would with long hair. I am going to go ahead, use my bobby pin trick, which is where I put bobby pins into the braid and make just a little line down the middle. But it's all underneath the hair. So you just kind of like stick it under the surface of the braid and pin up and into it. You just do that across the entire Dutch braided portion. That way, if you do have any little hairs that are a little bit precarious, it just hopefully keep them in place. There'S one side, big and braided. Let'S do the same thing on the other side. Can we just compare the difference between the poles apart side and the nonpolar parts? I'D call, let's fix that. So now, let's bring it all together. I'M gon na take my right: braids, bring it across and tuck it underneath my left braids pin it in place. Then I'm gon na take the lip right across under the right, braids tuck it in put it in place and then all the pesky little baby hairs get a bobby pin all right, but that is today's Luke. I like it. I feel like a girl who does crafts, who knows the best coffee shops in town, who might have a cat and a stash of yarn somewhere, and she looks her best life, I'm into a blue cat in the stash of yarn. I was describing myself and I do have a dog and drawers of craft supplies so think I'm still describing myself all right. I will thank you guys throughout the day with me, because after I bailed on Wednesday, I got ta keep these bags on beast. I decided for lunch to go back to the same place, an allure and I went the other day because it was so good. So I got some Mediterranean food and I'm just chilling with some random music in the background. But I had to update you guys because boom when I looked down to get my credit card out of my purse, the lady that was ringing me up fully clocked my bangs, like absolutely 100 % was like. Oh, those are fake, did a double-take who looked away. I looked up at her. She quickly went there. I was like okay, you know that I know that you know that we know that these are it's lighter than that. I think I'm bullying people, maybe okay. I am back home and and a fuzzy jacket because it is cold gon na stop being winter. Yet I would really like for it to stop being anyway. This hairstyles cute yeah. They did it back. I think a couple people noticed that these were fake. The lady that was ringing me up definitely did a double-take and then there was another girl. As I was like walking to my table. The look I was like. Oh, you know, Simon, that I, like this hairstyle a lot I feel like having the hair braided back. It really helps because, especially like Wednesday, I felt like I just had the big hair Bush, and I was just like trying to like get my way out of it and see people. I know I really don't even notice the bangs like. I could wear this all day. I'D be fine, so that's today and it's the last day guys me fine in honor of it being the last day we're both wearing t-shirt yep, because I give zero cares at this point. You'Re back from Savannah and the best weekend ever well, while you were gone, I decided to do a fave hairstyle. For me I know what did you choose to do that? I did braids. I did a braided updo summer song, the short hair, of course. Of course I did so I figured for your last day. You should also get to do a fave, oh, so I picked the thing that she is always trying to get into a video and it's fun buttons. Yes, every single hairstyle videos like, but can we do fun buns and I'm like I'm 30? No, we cannot do fun fun. I love fun fun. So now I want you to try some buns with bangs. I mean it's like that's kind of gon na, be a lot of look, but we're gon na we're gon na go with it. We'Re gon na go with the nude rolls it's my last day of bangs right heck. Not I was thinking the Joyce. Bangs might be good. You want me to help you get started. I feel like you're kind of an expert in the fun bun arena. Oh, my gosh, so does such high praise how about you're just like help me clip these in and then I'll handle it when you leave it like that is so 70s dang me a bachelor night done looking cute all right, let me do the other side. Okay, I'll leave you to it have a good time. I'M excited the only thing that could make things worth. It is fun, butts all right, so first you're gon na section, your hair off. I go from about my temples back into a triangular section. Oh, I like my phone buns to sit a little farther back on my head thing: we're going to secure with an elastic all right now we're gon na make a pigtail on the other side, alright, and once both pigtails are even secure with an elastic. I think I'm gon na take this whole section up and then pull out some of my real hairs. Okay, mom. Just to make this easier you alright. I think this is correct. I just need to like straighten the sides a little bit so ready for the buns. We'Re gon na take each section and finger through and back home, then twist it up loosely. I'M also just gon na grab a little piece and slide my hair up to give them spirals in the world and wrap it into a little button. We'Re gon na loosen up this big bubble and then we're just gon na pin her down so then we're gon na repeat the same thing. On the other side, taking the ponytail loosely back coping with your fingers, twisting it loosely and giving it a little pull and worth I like a little bit more of like a loose undone kind of texture to my fun bun. So it doesn't look so worked. So I'm just gon na take little teeny tiny pieces and pull at each bun until it's got a more relaxed. Yes, I am working harder to make it look like. I did a less work all right and then I'm gon na loosen up just a little bit on this part line, because I don't like being able to see my scalp here. Okay Lee you wan na, do my bangs II all right how's that perfect! I love it, let's not do tricks with the bottle. I did the one it was successful. I stepped moderately successful, oh my god hold on you. Okay, I'm fine! I just looked into the monitor and I realized. What does the hairstyle reminds me of you look cute. I don't know nothing about. No tell me, I'm wrong fun ones with baby is brewing like okay. Well, I think it's cute. I don't think you look like a 70s puppet. Well, shall we take it out and about we shall I knew put a sweater on I'm gon na freeze, okay, it's actually freezing outside yeah, I'm gon na put on a real outfit. Like I don't know the bubble is back. You excited that this is the last Agnes. It'S up to you. It'S not my look. No look like this alrighty, oh, oh you're, making the best guest appearance on he'll dinner is done time to go to the gym and then head out for Bachelorette night got a couple little crazies, but gym hair. Don'T care! Well alrighty! Then my cardio kind of pulled. My hair out, I feel like these, are looking very obviously fake. At this point. I don't know how you girls, do it when you work out, because it was sweaty as a hick under here. I made it through most of the bachelor, but my head is killing me. I have such a headache from these clips. I'M done never getting babies ever my final goodbyes okay, that has been a week of bang hairstyles, so things I've learned. First of all. Yes, I think you can do most hairstyles that are shown without bangs and just leave the bangs down and it still looks cute Hypothesis a check and then wearing bangs. Now I thought that was gon na have the worst time with it first day so easy. I was like what are people complaining about? Bangs are the easiest thing, I look cute and then we got to the second hairstyle for me and I was not into it and then it came back around for the third one. So I think what I've learned is. I definitely need the bang hairstyle for me to love it, but then I like bangs dizzy. Do you want to try them in okay? I really enjoyed my week of things. Oh I had a good time. Were they annoying oh yeah? They were for sure. I think the overall look. I I don't mind how I look in bangs. I think I'm kind of a cute look. However, I will never get real big. This is best-case scenario. This is like the ant versus having a kid situation. Oh, we can just pop him out when we sleep, I think the whole like having to actually style them every day will never actually be functional in my own, but I really enjoyed this week of kind of getting the style um and have fun with it gotcha. It went better than I expected it did. I really thought that I was going to like on ceremoniously and with great gusto like take these off and throw them across the room. What you did one day. Can we just point out the fact that I really did stick through all of my three days of wearing my bangs and completion and one of the days Kayleigh literally ripped them out of her hair and as soon as I left, I did that unapologetic unfair? Listen! You told me I looked cute, I did not. I still stand by. I think you looked cute.
