Welcome back to my channel, you guys so today, i'm going to show you how to do just a simple um, top-notch, bun and bangs um. She has short hair because she has a short haircut. So i'm just going to show you how to build up a ponytail um enough for her to be able to pull her hair up in a top knot or cute little messy, but not messy bun and chinese bangs. So i started off by kind of parting, a semi-circle at the top of her head and then i'm going to just kind of check. Uh cannot talk today, i'm just gon na section that off and get it out my way and then um, i'm gon na go in and create the rest of the circle in the middle of her head. So once i get it parted, just how i want it - and i got my perfect circle in the crown of her head - i'm going to go ahead and tie her hair off and then i'm going to go in and straighten the rest of her hair. That'S left out the leave out part that way when i do add the tracks, it'll all kind of blend and lay together, because right now, her hair has just been shampooed and blow dried out, and it wouldn't look right if we just add the tracks and try To slick it that way, so you want to get the hair as straight as possible, so i'm just going to go ahead and flat iron that out and then i'll be back for the next step. There'S something okay! So i'm going to go in and just spray a little bit of gaussian freeze spray on her ponytail, just to kind of smooth it a little bit because we didn't flat iron. This part, you can kind of tell the difference between that part and the part that we straightened out so um, but that's okay, because we're doing a bun we're not doing any kind of like flat, sleek ponytail. So it's okay not to straighten the middle part out. We just need it for the foundation, so i'm just going to blow dry that dry and then i'm going to proceed to track her hair and the hair that i used was prestige. This was my first time working with this hair but uh when you're doing buns like this, you kind of want to get the hair. That'S textured, i think it's the micro perm yaki, or is it just micro perm? I have to look it up, but either way it's you want to get the hair, that's textured and thick, because it's easier to put the bun up so um. What i'm doing here is okay for y'all that don't like glue just skip over this video. You have clients that don't mind it and i'm the type of stylist, where i don't use a lot of glue on the wefts. So when she washes this out, she will probably have little to no glue in her hair, because i that's how lightly i coat the tracks because i'm used to honestly working on a protective cap, but because we are building a ponytail, i'm not able to create a Protective cap and sewing it would just create for the bulk. So this is why we're gluing it. If you don't like glue skip over the video, keep it pushing. We don't need your two cents, okay, anyway, back to the video so um, i'm just going to continue in those horseshoe like shapes with the tracks when i'm gluing it in, and you want to glue upward, not downward, because if you go downward and you try to Pull it up, it's just going to create a hump, and we don't need that. We want this to lay as flat as possible. So i'm going to show you again, u-shaped part we're gon na glue it upwards and then we're gon na comb it all together into that ponytail that um we created the base so each time that you put a track in you're going to part the hair off And cover it and i'll just use a little bit of gas to be freeze spray to kind of help, slick that up and keep it in place because again we're not putting any gel or anything on her hair. If we put gel on it's just going to curl up so guys to be, is okay for this hairstyle um. If you don't want to use gossipy, because you feel some kind of way about it, you can use sebastian, it's um. It'S a little bit more softer on the hair too. I just like the freeze spray, because it kind of really just seals it in place really really quick and water and shampoo will wash it right off. You guys don't fret, so i think i'm probably going to do one more row. Oh i didn't so uh. Why i didn't go another row is because you don't want to keep going because if you keep going like you see where i'm slicking it up at you'll be able to see those tracks. So you want to be aware of where your client's hair gets thin at. The purpose is to make this look as natural as possible. So if i went any closer to her hairline or i kept tracking in the u-shaped motion, it would have shown uh right where i'm, where i was combing it at first up in that area, right there right there right there and so just be mindful of um. The edges are thinner, so i think probably like two or three i just stopped two or three tracks down and then i slicked up her sides and then i'm just going to continue in the back with u-shaped motions again, because the hair is a bit thicker back There and again we need those short hairs to pull all the way up into the ponytail, so that is the purpose of using tracks to build her ponytail. Could i have just licked her up or just um use some gossipy freeze spray to to hold her short pieces or her short hairs into place yeah, but after a while, her hair would have fell down in the back, and we don't want that. We want her to be able to wear her um, her bun and bangs for at least two weeks, so what i'm using is even edge control, nothing, fancy yeah! I know i love my even because it holds honey. It'S a 24 hour edge timer, but it goes well past 24. and it does not flake. It does not turn white. Unless you at the bottom of the container, then yeah, then it will turn white, but if you have a nice full container of edge control, this would be it for you, like it slicks all kind of edges. I'M just saying that i'm always bragging on this product. So even 24 hour edge tamer, they come in all kind of different holes. Super hold extreme holes, just all the holes. So look for that in your local beauty. Supply check out my other videos. I didn't show it again. Shame on me, but that's what i'm using for her edges. I thought about using the beeswax, but the beast was just too thick and it does turn white and i just can't deal with it. So if y'all have any other um things that you like to slick your hair with drop it down in the comment box and let me know and i'll try to use it and see i'm always open to new stuff. So now that i got her slicked up, i'm going to go ahead and add that hair to the base of the ponytail that i created earlier and then i'm just going to go in and make sure that everything is touched up and nothing is falling out of Place where i'll needs and ready to go, there's something about the scenes. So now i'm going to take me a blackhead, wrap just to hold the back of her hair into place, while i'm working on other sections of her hair and i'll come back later and take it off okay. So i clipped that middle hair up because i'm about to wrap her ponytail, i am using glue. Please don't worry, there is no glue on her hair, it is solely on the rubber band and then from the rubber band. The glue will be only on the wefts of the track, nothing on this sweet baby's hair. So don't worry, y'all pretty little hairs on your head about this ponytail being glued in because some of y'all just be overly concerned. I got this. I'M professional i've been licensed for a million gajillion years. Okay, i've been licensed over 10 years, but i promise y'all. Her hair is protected. She'S okay, it'll be easy to wash out. I don't use that much glue. I know people be so concerned, but it's okay. Okay, so i'm just gon na wrap her hair uh wrap the hair around her ponytail and i'm probably gon na glue like every two inches or so so i wrap a little bit glue. A little bit wrap a little bit glue a little bit. That should be a rough zone. Okay! No! I should but yeah, i'm just gon na continue doing that. So just watch it there's something about the scenes. Do okay! So now i'm done with the ponytail. I'M just gon na put out a little bit in the back and create her a band. I always create this part first, because, if i'm in underneath you guys, when you're creating these buns, there's like really no perfect way to create the bun um, you kind of just got to play with it until it comes out the way you want it, but um Once i wrap the band around, i'm just going to use some guys to be free spray to freeze it into place and then we're going to go ahead and manipulate and try to play with this bun until it comes out the way i need it to look. I will tell you off camera - i probably attempted at this like 50 times, because i mean it's just no easy way to do. Buns, like not the little semi-messy buns like if you're doing the donut bun, you know with the side we used to roll up and use like a little donut, yeah ain't, nobody doing in the mode. So it's like everybody's into these messy buns and stuff now, so it kind of just takes a bit of time and patience to get it out. The way you want to so every time i do a bun, it's kind of everybody gets like a little customized bun to their head and to their head shapes and then just the bun overall. It just comes out different every time, because i do something different. Every time, but i normally every time i do kind of just wrap it around like twist it up and then let it wind down and then i'll just get the pinning from there there's something about the seasons. So i'm doing like a medium sized bun or medium. I'M not doing it too big and i'm not going to do it too little. It'S just kind of it's going to be big enough just to fit her head shade, because i mean she is a nurse, so she doesn't need anything too crazy. Just something cute and simple um it's! I really can't call it messy, because it's still kind of neat the messy ones usually have like little wispy hairs flying out of it, but um. She got a few, but not a lot, and you really can't see them on camera. But i just kind of created her like a little medium bun. So now i'm going to go in with her bangs now we could have did a quick weave bang, but they never require me having to glue hair on top of her hair and we're not going to do that. We'Re going to continue the way we started or we're going to go um where we're going to track in between her hair. But before i do that, i have to flat iron her hair out first at the front, and then i'm going to go in and track. It and then i'll be back for the cut okay. So now i'm going to just pour her hair out section by section i'm going to go in and add um some tracks to it to make her bang a bit longer and we're going to do the beveled chinese bangs. Oh there's something about the scenes. So now i'm just going to go in and take the very middle of her bang and i'm going to twist it and i'm going to take my tinkerbell comb and i'm going to razor straight across i twist it because when you let it loose, it gives you Like this c curve shape and it face, it, um frames her face and it gives you that perfect beveled um chinese bang look and i'm just going to leave two long pieces on the side. So i always just leave those out because i don't want to cut them too short, but yeah, like i said i just twist and i just get to chopping it off. You have to be very careful when doing this uh when you do the twist and cut because you can mess it up because you see is when i was cutting. It was kind of falling out. If you don't know what you're doing you will jack it up. So um i say: go practice on the mannequin head a few times before you do it on your head and, if you're doing it on your hair, like don't be like the other people in the videos that um cut their own bangs, and it was just like Right at the hairline, so when you're cutting your bangs, i always tell people to go to like rest, your hand on your nose and cut their first and then you can it's easier to cut up you can't. If you cut too much hair, you can't put it back, you have to start over, so i always tell people just rest your hand on your nose and cut there first and then cut off any extra that you need to cut off. So after i got that cut, i'm just going to go in and flat iron, her straight and i'm doing a light c curve on her bang. I don't want to too much of a big bump, so i'm just like lightly curving and um twisting my wrist or bending my wrist rather towards her face. So i'm kind of going with the shape of her forehead and on the sides. You want to make sure that you kind of keep it straight, because you want those long pieces to lay flawlessly, i always say flawlessly. You want them side pieces to lay how they supposed to lay you get the message. Um there's something about the scenes. So this is the final product you guys. Just if you have short hair, you still can pull your hair up into a bun. I think i'm just going to call this. The tinkerbell look, because we straight jacks are hairstyle straight jacked, it so um. I added some more pictures in you guys so that you can see just some different photos that i had took of other people with this hairstyle um. This is my home girl's daughter. We decided to put the chopsticks in because it was like yeah. Remember we used to rock them chopsticks, so we had to bring them back one time and this is her she's, her mom and she's natural, and i was able to achieve the same look. So let me know what you guys think make sure you like subscribe and i'll see you guys on the next video

Lovely Princess: Hello!! I'm a Master Stylist and have been doing hair since forever. I always tell people I came out of my mothers womb w/a comb and shears in my hands...lol...I absolutely love the way you so hair. I mostly love the neatness and precise you are. I have a little tip for wrapping hair around the ponytails to cover the bottom. Instead of taking hair from the back, take it from the sides of the back. This way the ends fall further to the back instead of the front of the ponytail. Another thing is to have separate shears . One for cutting hair and one for cutting the weaves weft, bc the wefts dulls the shears. I hope you don't mind me sharing. I wish you much continued success and keep o rocking on, bc YOU ARE GREAT!!!!

MsShay: Wow your so calm cool and collected. Absolutely fabulous job. I haven't really had any money to spend on getting my hair did. It's fascinating, the things you can do today with your hair. Im super impressed. My question is. There are so many beauty aids and products. How do you know what will work and what wont? And I like how you said. Look as natrual as possible. That is what you are trying to achieve. Truth be known I was still using a pressing comb to straighten my hair. But I see there are so many new devices and hair care products so many more than you can count. It's like I've been hibernating for many years. Truthfully, I haven't had the money to spend on my hair and, make up, close, shoes. And really the list goes on. Paying for rent, food, and other bills. Never had much money to do much else. But bravo to you. Great job.
