Hair is your greatest accessory and that you should have fun with it.. Even if you get a bad haircut, you can get through it. Hi, I'm Alice and today I'm getting a diffused. Shaggy hair look with bangs., But before you see my transformation subscribe, below. Other hairstyles. I'Ve had in the past include bleach blonde ombre gone wrong., I've done the ashy gray., You name it. I'Ve probably done it. And I've most likely done it to myself.. So it's looked terrible. The last time I got my hair done. I think it was last year around this time.. It was in the summer and I just got a chop., And then this just grew out from that. Alexa Chung has always been a big hair inspo for me.. The look I want is just something that will look more effortless, better air dried., It's feeling so heavy., It's one layer right, now., It's super bland. And I think this will just be a fun light. Airy, look., Dun, dun, dun, Alice, Hi everyone.. I am Adir Abergel. Welcome to Hair Factory L.A.., I have been a hairstylist for almost 30 years and I think what I've learned throughout the history of doing hair is that you have to find each individual's individuality. So make sure that you explore yourself make sure you get a lot of Different haircuts because you don't know what you're going to find out about yourself and that's the beauty of hair., You have a beautiful wave that we don't even see, and so I want it to come to life.. I want to create this beautiful movement and you're going to look gorgeous.. Okay. Alright, Let's do this baby.! So now we're going to start with Alice's hair., It's dry right, So we're going to take it and separate it into three different sections.. Now that we created the right perimeter and the right length you're going to take the hair and you're going to create some layers that have some movement. And you want to make sure that you go around the front and create bangs that are almost wrapping around your Face. You throw your hair up. You have all of these beautiful layers., I'm really kind of hoping for that 70s shaggy vibe., I feel like this new haircut will affect my mood. It'll. Get me more excited to just wake up and have a different look.. The diffused shaggy hair is something that has been iconic during the 70s and a lot of the time. During that period, people used to cut their own hair., And so that's why it was highly layered.. I knew immediately when I met Alice and I saw her texture that her hair was going to fly and explode with all of this beautiful natural texture.. It'S about freedom., It's about not caring., It's about living in the moment and letting your hair do what it wants to do. The way I style my hair and the effort I put into it. I feel, like kind of reflects what I'm feeling.. So it's just another extension of me.. I used a few different products by Virtue.. The first one that I used is the Un-Frizz Cream and I loved mixing that with the Healing Oil.. You want to make sure that you use it almost like hand cream and always start in the back and then move to the front. And then the final product. That I ended up using is a Moisture Defining Whip, which is all about celebrating your natural texture.. Okay, keep your eyes! Closed. Open your eyes.! Oh my god., I didn't know my hair could do this Yeah and the best babe, the best.. You can kind of just take your hair, throw it up into like a simple chignon like that., So sexy on you. Thank you. You're welcome! Baby., I love it.. I love you., I love you.. I love you.. I am so obsessed with my new hair.. I feel like it's 70s hair, queen cool girl, dreams, achieved., Like it's been so hidden under all those long layers.. I can't wait to drive home. Put my windows down. Put some music on shake my hair feel how light and breezy it is. Working with Alice was awesome.. I know that she was a little bit nervous that it was going to look a little bit more. Like a mullet., I understood that she shouldn't have straight across bangs.. I wanted it to feel more of a modern shag and we achieved it. And she looked absolutely gorgeous.. This look definitely boosted my confidence. Heat wave, who Alexa Chung, who Scoot over., Scootchie scootchie.. There'S a new 70s girl in town and she's feeling good.. Refinery29: Have you ever gotten a cut similar to this? Share with us below!

Grace Innocent: If I ever heard my hairdresser say "even if you get a bad haircut it doesn't matter, you can just grow it out and move past it" I would bolt.

tattoosbysaoirsewells: A better title would have been “watch me get layers” this is hardly bangs or shag it really just looks like she got some layers and he styled it

Ma Z: The haircut looks beautiful, but the title is misleading.

what ever: This cut isn't really a shag but the client seemed happy and the hairdresser was really nice, love that

Swaraa Iyer: she is gorgeous and the cut really suited her!

JudyCZ: Americans are so weird. They literally met like an hour ago; "I love you!" "I love *you*!"

Ausha Heart: The hair is cute but all he did was cut dead ends and add layers...where is the shag????

dotty555: The hairdresser is SUPER nice!!!

Kailah Lee: He brought her waves/loose curls to LIFE! Looks very natural and effortless, super cute on her!

Rachel Lynne Jones: He's a really good stylist. He didn't shock her with something completely different. He took influence from the styles she referenced, but ultimately he played just outside her comfort zone. Also, his portfolio is beyond impressive. I dug everything about him!

andrea: OHMYGOD. I love her hair. I love the hairstylist. I love her omg

Chelsea Johnson: She’s gorgeous & I can appreciate the simplicity of this

Jessica Gloria Oppermann: Her hair looked really beautiful and in better condition before

sarah v: ♡ the hairstylist. pretty sure i'm not gonna be nervous if i got hairstylist like him.

Momma Bear: I wish I could find a stylist like this. Someone that will actually listen, take into account hair texture, natural shape... instead of hearing "This girl wants a shag and this is how everyone else is doing a mullet... I mean a shag!".

Rachel Ilous: Yessss!!! This is everything I wanted!! I have a saggy hair style myself from quarantine Do-it yourself hair cut lol and I’m in love with it !!! Also Adir is my spirit animal!! Love his style and aesthetic

Anna F: I love how he brought out more of her natural waves, so pretty!

magic pony9: OMG that looks sooooo good. Very French/Jane Birkin/“I’m just naturally chic and gorgeous without having to do anything special” look. VERY impressed.

Vigdis: ''ive done blonde and ashy blonde. you name it i probably done it.'' lmao

Southern Rose Tia Dee: Alice’s hair looks beautiful! Very Alexa Chung-inspired (like she wanted). I’d completely trust Adir with my hair: he has a love for hair and he really listened to Alice’s concerns and created a style that she loves.

JuaniqueVerde: I loved his energy & accessories! I think he did a really great job! She’s so pretty Her hair looks I knew she had some waves under there! Fabulous

eagletmars: This cut wasn't dramatic by any means, but it really brought out her natural beauty, and I love it on her❤

Julian Anton: It looks great buuuuuut it’s as basic as anyone with long, one pure length hair. Love the whispy curls buuuuut this was not a huge change.

Lyna Claudia: “I LOVE YOU!” It’s cute and funny. The hair is absolutely nice, I wonder what types of hairstyle suits me..

t u l i p: Ooo! Love the new look! It’s beautiful! The curls really suit her and I am glad that she didn’t just do regular bangs like a lot of people do..❤️

Valerie: I need this stylist in my life! ❤️ Such a great job

Not Kaiik: The haircut looks so pretty! She also looks so happy with it

not a pinterest girl: i loved the haircutter too omg he was so lively and great

Deborah Praha: She looks amazing! I love it. But this is not a “shag” hair style I think. It looks great though!

Jess: Anyone else feel like it wasn't that different? Just shorter ?

Lindsay Markin: Omg love them both! Gorgeous humans!

Lynne Cartwright: She hasn't had different styles as she calls it...the pics just show her with colour. I do wish people like this would do something radical instead of what is basically a trim.

Dijan Flum: I love this !! A haircut who looks good on natural hair is worth all the money !!

Julia •: I literally had this hairstyle yesterday and im so happy about it because it looks so fresh

Stacy Lyon: I had that hair cut along time ago in high school. It's a royal pain to deal with, especially when you grow it out.

QweenLina: I LOVE her hair cut!!!

Kaitlyn Permelia: He is my favorite hairdresser so far. Looooved this hair stylist!!!!!!

Saya Maki: Haha she got her hair cut to my exact hair naturally and I’ve been trying to change my hair for years and it just stays the same

Riovanna Mcnaughton: The hairstylists energy really radiates great job

Fanny: I do like that haircut on her, and I liked the fact that the hairstyling wasn’t overdone. She knows right away what she’s going to look like coming out of the shower. Maybe it’s just me, but the first wash after going to the salon always makes me nervous. How are my curls going to react and Place themselves ? Finding hairstylists who get curly hair is hard, especially here in Europe

QG: My hair literally looks like that after I wash it and allow it to dry naturally... didnt know ppl actually paid for that look. Suits her

Laura Bower: I love the hair dresser's energy and personality

Laura Joy: Lol "She's just going to EXPLODE with beautiful natural texture." That is me when I wash my Irish/Scandinavian hair to much.

Phyllis xoxo: I totally love having bangs ✨

Nicolayza Mendi: Beautiful The 70- 80 Rocked those were the best of the best. I love it

Caroline Love: More people with curly hair please!

A.G.: girl you need imperfectly perfect baby bangs !!!

Stephanie Renée: This looks so good

seemsgood: Love it, looks great!

Sabrine Brine: This video is so HAPPY! I love it!

Patricia Anne: It turned out really good ✨

σοφια τσιοπουλου: The best hair transformation so far

marissa: oh my god my hair nd texture is exactly like her before, I wonder if I can actually get some nice curls/waves out of it if I started using a nice product

Kathy Parri: I always love watching Hair me out and see wonderful transformations. Its magical!!

Alicia: torn between being like this guy seems so fun!! a good hairstylist ✨☺️ and also ow i could physically FEEL how aggressive he was with her hair it made me cringe

peoples: Seems like people expected exactly the same 'Shag' style from 70's, but I can see this as a modern Shag. I can tell he is super experienced session stylist, and it would be better if he gave it more obvious change.

Kay_ Ck: Best haircut and reveal to date. He is so talented and this was spot on

Elvi Meow: This is me when i wake up. Glad it looked good on her.

KD Nrublaw: She has such beautiful thick hair! A gorgeous mane! Love it.

Emily Cummings: Anybody saying this isn’t a shag, the hairstylist at the end says “I heard that she didn’t want it to look like a mullet, so I listened and this is more of a modern shag” which is true. This modern shag is just less dramatic than your average shag

Hewa MD: I NEED THIS HAIRCUT ON ME

aliciabrillante: Wow! I was like what is he doing lol but it came out fantastic. He is a true artist!!!

LeafWoman: love the long bangs and waves. I want this cut too!

Caitlyn Cupples: Gotta say, these 70s haircuts that are trending lately are a vibe..

Jeannie Barquero: Omggg this looks so good on her, perfect 70s haircut!!

fromkazan: I love this haircut❤️

Humble Bee: Yes! A hairdresser that delivers

Theallinonedude7: Hair Me out is your best series of videos! Keep making more content

HeidiMN: Hair Me Out staying on brand by bringing us a video that doesn't match the title at least the stylist did awesome this time

Meme Rose 🌹: She just looks like she got a haircut it’s not that different but it looks cute.

happilykaicey: It looks so good!

Brittany Prieee: I love this hairdresser. Inspired me to have more personality and channel that vibe to help my guests bring out their personality with their hair!

Maria Ermides: I loved it. As he said he wanted for her to have more of a 'modern shag', and I feel like that was the perfect interpretation for her style and look!

Jeralin Sunflower: Soo pretty! Love it!

Kelly Melissa: that is not a shag lmao. she needed waaaaay shorter layers for that

Estrellabeauty: What a sweet dope hairstylist ❤️

Fallon Fontaine: All she wanted was shaggy hair instead of an actual shag. It's cute & I love the stylist.

hollyken3: it looks soooo good!

Argos Weiss: OMG YAAAAAAAAAS LOVE THIS FOR HER

GC: The cut looks great and brings out her lovely waves. But I have to agree with the comments, I wouldn’t call this a shag.

Grace Huggard: Omg this looks so goooooodddddd

cherrysoda97: The stylist has that motivational speaker voice lol I'm here for it

Casey Scire: could any hairstylist tell me what i’d ask for in a salon if i wanted this haircut. I especially want those short pieces in the front so it will look cute when i have my hair up

Sevi Regis: People have different definitions when it comes to things like a shag haircut. This is definitely a version of shaggy layering and it looks really nice and probably is also a lot easier to maintain and go natural with. If you think of the British shag haircuts of the 70s it's a completely different look. But this came out really nice and the client is happy, that's what matters most. Can't please everyone.

amethyst: I love this hairstylist. He has a great personality. So far my favorite from all Refinery videos. Make more videos with him

S K: omg I’m obsessed w this stylist

lana gaga: i am so inspired thank you refinery.

Ashleigh Roberts: I LOVE this!!!

Shan E: I really like her new hair

Robin Washburn: I love the hairdresser!! More please

Dayzah Mcclain: So sick, love it!

Selena Scott: Why is he so aggressive with her hair though? love the hair btw!

thebandaid: Ooooooh, id LOVE for him to create a style suited for me

Chicana punk LA: I do think he gave her what SHE wanted! He worked with what type of natural flow her hair had. He wasn't gonna go from 0-100 guys! Chill out

stephanie rodriguez: this looks so good on her omg

MeteoricMarlin: Lmao when her hair literally looks the same in the end

Preston Siegler: She looks exactly the same... like, not even a little bit different...

Arzu Arzu: love love love the hairstylist

SWATHI MURALIDHAR: Loved dis Soo much., Wanna get one too!
