Usually by the middle of my week I am up to my eyeballs with lots of fun but busy projects and I don't have a ton of time to spend fussing with my hair so I fake it by doing a simple hairstyle that makes it look like I spent a lot of time getting ready. In this tutorial I combine a simple twist with some french braiding techniques to create a fun dimensional hairstyle that will work on just about any hair type.

One thing that is so great about this twisted hairstyle is it is a sneaky way of covering up messy or even dirty hair. If you are the type of person who works out everyday or your hair oils up easily but you don't want to go through the whole shampoo and blow dry process every day you can totally dry shampoo your roots and then twist your hair like this to hide that dirty hair and it only takes a few minutes. Your hair doesn't have to be dirty for this hairstyle though, by adding some dry shampoo or your favorite styling product you can add some texture and hold in your hair and still get a beautiful twist going on. Whether you have short hair or long hair, bang or no bangs, you will love how easy this style is and it is perfect for summer to get that hair off and away from your face. Definitely try it out and let me know what you think or tag @whippycake if you post a picture of your new twisted hairdo on yourself! Thanks for taking a few minutes to check out this video tutorial!

Hey it’s Becki and today I have a twisted hair tutorial for you.. It doesn’t matter. If you have short hair or long hair, bangs or no bangs, this hair style will work on your hair and all you need is bobby pins, a comb and some finishing spray.. I’M starting out with very dirty hair, it has a lot of product in it which helps build texture and holds the hair style in place.. So I’m going to go ahead and dive right in and get started on, showing you how to get this look.. So, to start I’m not going to part my hair or do anything like that cause. My hair is really dirty and really messy and I’m just going to work with what’s going on already. And then I’m just going to stick with the same dramatic part. I have and I’ll take a little section of hair in the back and then split that in two. And then all you need to do, for this style is just twist them together, like a twist tie but you’re going to add hair gradually, like you would, if You were French braiding., So I twist these two sections together and then add a piece of hair. And then I twist these together and add a piece of hair. And if you want to have a good nice twist that stands out you kind of want to over Direct it by pulling your hair this way instead of this way., Then you just keep adding and twisting as you go. And then you’ll start pulling from back here.. So then, if you have longer hair, you can keep twisting down the side of your head or you can just pin it here and have it hang longer.. I have pretty short hair, so I don’t really have anywhere to go so I’m just going to pin it.. If you have thicker hair, you can use two bobby pins.. So then from here I’m just going to kind of pull the twist nice and loose. So you can see that fine twisted detail in there. And then, if this is sticking out too much, you can pin it down underneath or pull it to the side and pin it down. From here. You can finish off with some hairspray or I’m using spray wax., And this will just kind of help manage any flyway’s or anything like that., That’s it for this tutorial. Thank you so much for watching, and I hope you liked it., If you do be sure, to thumbs up and subscribe to see more of my videos. I’ll see you next time.
