Cutting My Own Curtain Bangs! // Straight Bob
Since Toronto's in lockdown (AGAIN), and so are the salons, I decided to take matters into my own hands and cut my own curtain bangs myself! I've never cut my own hair before, so this was pretty nerve-racking, but I watched a bunch of YouTube tutorials... and VOILA! Fresh curtain bangs for this bisexual bob. Hey my beautiful people, it's kira welcome back to my channel and happy new year. Toronto toronto's been in lockdown for like what two months one month it's being extended right now i don't even know i've been hibernating, i'm i'm just locked inside my condo, so i can't get out to the salon. So i'm gon na try and attempt to cut my own freaking bangs. I already have bangs, as you can see, like kind of like curtain bangs, but they're getting long. Now, i'm so nervous. You guys hey it's kara from the editing suite i'm going to cover my bangs because you're not supposed to see them yet. But i just wanted to say that lauren and i are currently raising money for her canadian work visa for 2021, because we have lawyers and fees etc, check out my depop, because all the proceeds of the sales are going towards that visa. It'S basically like an online thrift store where you can shop a bunch of different unisex styles, so go check it out. It goes towards a good cause. I straightened my hair because i thought it would be better than having my hair all like wavy as it usually is, and i i just have like hair cutting scissors and a comb um. I'Ve never done this before. So, if my hand is shaking that's why i've watched a lot of youtube, tutorials and all of them say you have to start with that. Like little triangle, part um, you have to like section your hair off so wait. I guess i'm gon na [ __ ]. I guess i got ta find where my natural part is. First, oh, that's not! Oh you guys. I hope this doesn't turn into one of those like cutting. My bangs quarantine fails. Okay. This is giving me more anxiety than i thought it would. So we love that. Let'S, just like you know, get some lotion, it's super dry in this condo, so we're gon na put some lotion in my hair, fun fact like when i was in high school and my hair would get frizzy or like staticky during the day in the winter. I would just put lotion on my hands and then run it through my hair. It works pretty well. Actually, i'm gon na use my existing bang and just cut from there. Okay yeah. That looks great. That looks right right people, i'm gon na - put a bobby pin in this part of my hair, so it stays. I forgot. I had these they're way too femme for this outfit, but you know what it works. Oh god! Oh, we got another really femme clip going on cute. What people keep saying to do is like brush it like this, so that it's like on a diagonal. Oh, this is so awkward here we go come on kira you got. This fish looks like a pretty nice angle. Okay, this isn't that hard. This isn't too bad. I think i was just being dramatic, so we're gon na just i'm just gon na go i'm just gon na go like that. Slay slay, i say i say we leave this side alone, because it's okay and go on to the other side. Again. Sorry, if it's not focusing on my face the tutorial, i did she said to bring the shorter piece over to this side so that you could see how short you need to go. Actually, someone told me that once like a hairdresser told me like wow, you have way more hair on the right side of your head than the left side, which is kind of weird yeah. Oh, that is not even oh honey. That is not even i can't even [ __ ] see are these even i don't think these are even [, __ ] cara. Sorry, i swear a lot you guys. I just want this to be done now. This is like way too boxy. This is like more of a slant now i just cut my hand, i don't know my bangs just aren't like they just don't have volume right now. I don't know. I don't know why i kind of want them to be shorter. Should i go shorter? How does it look guys? It actually looks pretty good, i'm actually good at this. This is so exciting. Now i know that i'm capable of cutting my own hair. I really want a mullet but like like a shag wallet, but i don't trust myself to to do. One on myself, so i'm gon na wait. Sorry, i was just looking at myself in the viewfinder. That'S that's cute. The salons are closed and i don't trust myself doing it on myself. I have seen people do it at home and it looked really good, but i mean cutting bangs is as far as i will go. I think, with cutting my own hair, i'm gon na do more, i'm gon na cut more off. I don't know why. I'M doing this, but i'm just like i feel like it could be better lauren's gon na bleach, her hair she's, getting like a bleaching kit from sally beauty and she's gon na literally bleach, her hair and i'm very excited to see how it turns out. I think she's gon na look hot with blonde hair. Okay, i think i should stop before i ruin it yeah, i'm i'm gon na stop i'm gon na stop. While we're ahead looks pretty decent, i'm pretty proud of myself. I never thought i could cut my own hair, but here we go 2021 new year new me. I have bangs now jk i've always had bangs.
