How I Blow Dry & Style My Hair With Bangs! | Wet To Dry

Today I'm going to show you how I blow dry and style my hair with BANGS!! I recently got bangs on my naturally curly hair. My biggest concern leaving the salon was wondering if I could ACTUALLY style them myself at home. After several attempts and helpful tips from my hairdresser bestie Lee Rittiner, I think I figured it out! In this video, you're going to see me start from wet to dry - leaving out no details! (This includes the products I put in my hair before I style it)

I really hope you guys enjoy this video because so many of you requested it.

Saz

Hey babes, thanks for coming back to my channel to hang out today for another hair tutorial. This is actually my first tutorial, I'm doing since getting bangs after getting tons of requests from you guys. I decided that I was going to share my bank routine. I absolutely love, love love, my bangs. It looks pretty hideous right now, as my hair is wet straight out of the shower. When I got at the shower - and I styled my bangs for the first time, it was really kind of a disaster. I'M not gon na lie. My hair was a little traumatized because brannad, I just got it cut, so it hadn't really set in place. My bangs were kind of going in all directions, and so I decided for my next wash. I was going to implement some different tips and tricks, and I think I found one that worked so if any of you guys out, there recently got bangs and you're just like. Why did I do that? Don'T give up just yet and if you're watching and you don't have bangs, don't worry, because this is actually my first video on my channel that I'm doing where I'm actually blow-drying my hair from start to finish, showing you guys exactly how I do that. For the sake of time, I'm gon na rush through some of the parts, but you guys will definitely get the hang of it. I promise let's do this so since I'm in a hurry today, I have a dentist appointment that I literally need to go to in less than an hour. I am actually going to use this blow-dryer, it's the 1907 fr om and I have so many, but what I love about this one is, it gets really really hot and then this straight nerds from Solia. This is their super hot straightener. So something else that's really important. When you're blow-drying, your hair is the brushes that you use, it can really make a huge difference when you get done with your blowout. The difference between a wooden round brush is really great for girls who have the really kinky curly hair like me. So it gives you a lot more tension when you're, blow-drying and that's kind of what you need is when you're blow-dry you kind of have to pull your hair so that when you step outside suddenly you're, not getting all curly around here and they're metal round, ruch Kind of works as a straightener, the metal plate there is going to get super hot, and then you can kind of work, your way to to style your hair, how you choose and if you're wondering this is also from 1907, FR o mm, and then this one. I have no clue it's just called a wooden round brush. I guess you're going to see me kind of switching back and forth between the two shampoo that I used was a Vedas, brilliant shampoo, also from Aveda it's their pure abundance, and this is the volumizing clay. Conditioner, I just decided to mix the two, and then I followed up with Vedas smooth infusion. I really really love this one. It fights against humidity, that's not sponsored. I promise you. I just truly love that product and then, after that, my Oribe there bombed your. This is a heat protector and then there's going to be one product, but I'm going to share that at the end. So you'll have to stay tuned for that, so my hair is still a little wet, so I'm just going to run the blow-dryer through it step. One and just completely make sure that it's dry, so let's do that so, as you can see, I'm looking a little crazy when I'm sectioning my hair, I usually like to work on the right side, the left side and then style, the top, especially the bangs. You want to wait until the end, so I'm just gon na grab a little clip. Okay, just let them hang out like that. You see how this is also at the top section. I just want to actually separate that one too, I like to wait until the end to see how everything looks and then blend in the entire blowout. That'S a great look! I'M going to start with my right side grab a handful at a time, I'm just going to clip that get it out of the way. So I'm going to start out with my wooden round brush you're just gon na kind of brush through it start at the root turn it a little bit. So it's not perfectly blow-dried, as you can see, but it's starting to feel smooth enough for me to run my straightener through it. So I'm just going to grab the other brush now kind of brush through and just run my straightener from root to ends when you're using the round brush. It allows you to kind of create the shape, so I'm just gon na bring my strainer in like that. To give it a little shape, you see, okay, so I'm just going to let that kind of hang out and just add some more pieces, you, okay, so as you guys can see, my hair is looking super sleek and shiny. Just for the sake of time, I'm going to speed up the process now and I will meet you back up top you. Ah, I am now entering the bank zone. Here we go as you can see, it got a little curly, but that's okay, I'm just going to make sure that the rest of my hair is gently. Pin back as you can see, my bangs are here and then I got a huge chunk of hair here. Actually like to kind of work with both so that that way, the banks blend in with my hair, nice and smoothly, and it doesn't look super harsh, I'm just gon na temporarily pin this section apart. I'Ve sectioned my hair a million times now. I think today I want to do the middle part, so in order to do that, bring everything forward with my wooden brush, I'm just going to basically blow-dry everything forward, putting it underneath my hair and just working it down going on top. So, on high heat same thing: here we go you okay, so once I do that this is what it's supposed to look like right after right, it should be going in all crazy sorts of directions. So what I usually do is I grab my straightener now and I'm going to pull my hair to one side and I'm going to straighten it out. Just like this once you kind of part it then what I'm going to do is a fun trick, slash tip! I learned from Lee my hairdresser: I'm grabbing a pomade, so this is a water-based pomade. This one is from Baxter I'm just going to apply a little bit to my fingers and just kind of rub it in and so for any of my flyaways and things like that. I'M just gon na gently get them in place and then also with my bangs. I'M just gon na run it through the ends of the bangs and kind of shape it with my finger and it'll hold it in place, so there you have it guys for clean hair coming out of the shower and blowing it out exactly how I want it In under an hour, this is not too bad, okay. Well, I hope that if any of you guys out there we're feeling a little discouraged about your bangs, I hope that you'll give this tutorial a try and let me know how your hair turns out using the hashtag design inspired, so that I can see all of Your flawless selfies yeah yeah thanks so much for watching be sure to LIKE subscribe until next time. Mwah mwah, bye,

Jelian Mercado: can you do a video on how to style bangs when you leave it natural? I have curly hair like yours and I want bangs but I'm scared because I don't like straightening my hair all that much.

Brooke Monney: By far the BEST and most helpful blowout tutorial I've seen so far! Thank you thank you for making this video! ❤️

Lurganista: Curly sisters, try blow drying your fringe (bangs) first and put in a big roller. Then blow dry the rest as if you let those bangs get too dry they will be super frizzy x

Christine Youngs: Thanks for making this video! I've always dried all of my hair, and then straightened, but this looks like it works so much better. Will have to try it!

Lubna M: I'M SO GRATEFUL FOR YOU RN. I'm Middle Eastern too, so it's so nice to see someone else with hair like mine and who can give me tips that I can actually make use out of!!! Thank you Saaaaz, my soon-to-be straight curls and root kinks are thanking you <3

Lyss B: YAAASSS you gave me life again, i have the exact same hair style but a tad longer.. my hair stylist styled it for me, I saw her do it.. eh not so bad I can do it! Girl, no. my bags looked exactly like your after blowing them out before you straightened them. First world problems, for me. And I couldn't fix it to save my life!!! I'm back and better than the hair stylist did it!! Yes she is!!! Like you have no idea I was about to raise that white flag. Thank thank you Sazan!!!!! I freakin love you!!

eiji: Saz please make a video on how you manage to keep your hair so healthy regardless of all the heat that you use I had to stop using straighteners and I avoid blow drying my hair since its getting so thin Love ya xoxo

Barbara Regasto: OMG I've never seen someone with hair exactly like mine! (Not even my sister!) Thank you for your precious advises! I've never thought about using the straightener right after the blow dry of each section.. Genius! Huge hugs from Italy

Piscena: OMG! I would’ve never thought ur hair was so curly. ☺️ U should totally do a style where u rock ur curly tresses. So cute!!!

Style Optimist: Hey Sazan! Great video, your hair turned out gorgeous. does the heat ever alter the curl/wavy pattern of your hair? My hair is VERY Curly, but heat scares me even with heat protectant. How do you protect your hair before heat styling?

°idk kid°: I have never used a wooden round brush to blow out my hair!!! I am walking out my door now to go buy one!!! Your hair looks amazing!

Lucy Martinez: This was a great tutorial thank you so much!

Eva: So helpful! If you have bangs, do it!❤

Savannah Barrientos: Your semi-blow dryed natural hair (curls) remind me of '90s Mariah Carey

Dixita Vachhani: I absolutely LOVE your videoss ❤️❤️❤️ and your bangs

Carrie Best-Neal: Super cute! Love it

Lana Schroeder: Omg I just got bangs too (before I saw this video) and our hair is a similar style and texture. My routine is very similar too, but I let it air dry natural (wavy), then blow dry quickly with a flat brush, then section and flat iron. Your way was faster...I might have to try that too!

Geetha Balakrishnan: Yey love this ❤️ thanks for sharing !

Erin Kozoll: First of all...you are so cute and fun!I love your channel! Secondly some questions about this routine: Is there a reason you do not just blow dry with the wooden round brush while your hair is still wet? It seems counter-intuitive to me to dry it prior to starting to style it. Seems like an unnecessary step to me, i.e. more heat, but maybe I am missing something? Especially if you have tendrils like I do, which you say you do as well. But my hair is curly like yours but thin and fine so those tendrils, once they are dry...good luck getting the frizz out. Another question: do you leave the conditioner in your hair to make it easier for you to brush through it? Or does the Smooth Infusion act like a leave-in? Thanks!

Dhru Gosai: Hi Sazan, loved the tutorial! Just a question: I don't like to apply too much heat (especially of straighter) as it has damaged my hair badly in past. Is there an alternative to that for these bangs? Thank!

Lisa Hays: I was meant to see this! Am 3 weeks in to bangs and have about decided it was a mistake and now this tutorial! Will def try all your tips! Thanx!

Gizem Türköz: super useful video for who doesn't love natural curly hair

K G: Loving the bangs cuz they're long enough to be kind of side swept and also short enough to have the look of bangs!!! Really did not understand what you were saying about your hair being kind of kinky and curly until I watched this video - which makes the blow out even more of a challenge that you totally nailed!!!

Andrea Nicolosi: omg. ..this video came at the right time. ..I got my bangs last week and I was soooooo frustrated because they "sucked "...at least I thought so...but now.....I'll give it another try...Tks girl...love from Brazil

Emelie Dillman: It has been a couple of months now, are you still loving your bangs as much as you did in this video?? Great tutorial too. I have always loved Aveda products too, have you or would you consider an Aveda favorites video?

Sabrina Wallner: I got the same bangs a week ago and I love them!!!!!! :D

Untitled: I have the same hair (your natural hair) You look sooo pretty with your curly hair, I love it ! xoxo (from France) ❤

Nadine S.: Omg Like literally needed this Video so much Thanks for it ❤️

Natalie Camila: So gorgeous! <3

ti ca: this helped me on how to blow-dry my kinky curly crazy hair!

Saireen Anjum: Your hair is goaaaals!! ❤️

kmdn1: I have naturally fluffy, frizzy, thick wavy, curly hair like you do too but I adore having bangs. What is your before bed routine with them? Do you try to keep them out of your face with a handband or a clip or anything? Do you wash and blow dry your bangs more frequently than the rest of your hair?

Alyssa Dell'Aquila: Gorgeous as always Sazan!

nicoleskey: You made it look so easy haha >w<

Christine Collins: Wow,!! You like Amal Clooney!!! You are really pretty, and I love your hair straightening tutorial. Great job, just what I needed. :)!!

Anna: I have an exact opposite problem - my hair is fine and really straight - I generally go after a little wave - feminine and curvy ❤️ And I've always had bangs; just my signature look and feel most comfortable in it. But I'd like to try something new and grow my bangs - it just goes through a lot of awkward phases growing

Cristina: I just got bangs too, and as much as I love them, I hate the effort they take. Lol. crazy how you made this video at the perfect time for me!

Chelsea Thompson: i love her hair curly!!! anyone else ? :) -- beautiful both ways though

Alissa Thomas: Omg I finally found someone who had the same hair as me. Can relate so much.

Golden Lola: bangs look so good on you, I'm discouraged to get them though since wear my hair natural most of the times

jessica connolly: love your channel sazan

Daniella D.: With straight hair and bangs like this you look so much like Monica Belluci

Bianca joardar: First!!!!!! I got bangs quiet similar as yours... Seeing you slaying your bangs I too got bangs... Great tips!!! Love you

Mariah Murphy: you should try and use the brush you flat ironed with for the blow drying process. it has a ceramic barrel so it will heat up while you dry, creating a straighter look. :)

Megha Singh: Love love love ❤️ You are super amazing

nonoaudi78 no: love this video

Ali Fortalejo: What do you use for wavy hair effect?

E bee: I love this thanks!

A: love youuuu holy so perfect

Disa Chantel: How long does this take in real time?

Rebecca Guevara: so I recently dyed my hair at home and it didn't turn out like I wanted too.. I dyed it black but my hair is still dark brown & my hair doesn't straighten the same anymore !! It used to be so sleek and straight but now whenever I straighten it it feels crusty and it becomes wavy like 2 minutes after I straighten it... any thoughts ?:(

Damini Heera: You're stunning <3

SongoftheWeek: Does your straightener straighten your hair when it's wet too?

Abigail M: I saved a picture of your bangs for my own hair inspo about 5 months...now I'm actually going to cut them and what do you know...I come upon YOUR video. I thought, "these girls look exactly the same." Psh, it was you. LOL

Krenalda Siqeca: Hi Sazan! I'm from Albania and we have an island with a name like yours :)

Iqra Iqbal: I love ur natural curls tho!

Sana A: this is more of a straightening routine

Nabeeha Sahar: Tbh it's not that easy with long hair.

Shimmery Nails: recently I just got a bangs, it's so messy. and I have natural straight hair but there are still a problem. So I bought hair straightener, but I didn't know how to use it. It so hot, OMG. This tutorial really help me

Tonyah_: just a quick question: why do you need to blow out your hair first?

Juliette Fryer: this actually saved my life

MonicaStyle Muse: Gorg gorg gorg!!!

Julia Alejandro: You are like Lily Pebbles' (UK youtuber) long lost sister!

Wes Pic: What kind of camera are you using to do this tutorial?

Naresh Kumar: Do you use heat protectant??

ana: just do a brazilian blowout already... you wont have to blowdry and straighten you hair everyday, and it will look just like this

jiminsthighsarelifeuu: Tbf I don't like my hair down with bangs unless I put makeup on, I normally have my hair up with my bangs out and it only takes me a few minutes to get my bangs right.

Madhu Jana: very very well shot. kudos!

Lisa A: How do you not have any split ends using this much heat???

Vibhasree Gowda: That takes a lot of time though!

szabina varga: Hey Sazan! Is it possible to get it in Europe? I'm from Hungary but unfortunately I can't find a site that ships here

uk uk: I'm kurdish and proud of kurdish girl like you keep it upدەست خۆش

jj: What type of bangs do you have?

Nigar Gasimova: I have the same type of hair and it take soooo much time and energy to blow dry+blow dry with brush+straighten a lil bit+ add waves with curler...it is a real struggle and plus you are damaging your hair with the heat. So thats why I am doing it time to time..once in a while to keep my hair healthy. But I loved your hair straightener, I need to change mine cuz mine not straightaning it as yours, my hair gets bigger after a while

Sam Stokes: Thank you!!

Miss K: I love you!

Babjan Jain: After staighting my than to it moves side by side can we use regular comb can you show how to get soong hye kyo front bangs
