Hey dolls. Welcome back to my channel seriously: hey dolls! Welcome back to my channel and if you're new here I am pinup doll, Ashley Marie I do vintage pinup inspired looks but then I also have a separate channel Ashley's freaky Fridays, where I tell paranormal stories from my subscribers. So if you love paranormal and you love fashion, makeup, hair vintage go follow that channel it's Ashley's Freaky Friday and listen to those stories. While I get ready and you can get ready with me - anyways, okay, sorry shameless plug for my other channel today. I have a tutorial for you, an actual tutorial. You guys. I have not done that in forever. I'Ve been doing get ready with me videos and then other videos, and I just felt like it was time for me to get back to what I used to do to what my channel was based on and it was based on vintage and pinup, hairstyles and fashion. I kind of got away from that with the craziness of YouTube and the pressure. I got to a point where I started not having fun anymore. I don't know if you guys noticed that, but I I would keep at it because I love you guys so much and it just warms my heart every time I see that I was able to help you, but I just felt like I was disconnecting from my Channel it's time for me to update my old tutorials. They are from a 5 or 6 years ago. So I hope you guys. If you have any other questions, I know I tried to hurry up and do it as fast as I could, and the camera quality is awful. Why it's taken me so long to refilm those? I do not know it's ridiculous, but I'm finally doing it. So I'm going to be updating all of my hair tutorial video, so the bumper bangs of the victory rolls just everything. There'S definitely a few steps that I changed or updated and made a lot more simple and I thought it'd be great to come back with faux bangs, because full bangs are like one. My favorite hairstyles, if you have any vintage, looks or vintage hairstyles that you would like me to recreate. Please submit them to pinup doll, Ashlee Marie at gmail.com. We are going to move on to this hair tutorial. If you are not subscribed, please be sure to hit that subscribe button and ok dolls, let's get into this tutorial, but before we do, if you have some wine take a sip of your wine, I just I want to show you guys my cup look, how adorable That is it's a skeleton and it's sangria. It was $ 7.99 hat. I don't know it was either TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross or HomeGoods. They all have the same tags, so Cheers ok, so we're going to get started with this hair, I'm going to walk you through step by step. It'S ok! If you don't get it the first time it's going to take a bit because bumper bangs faux bangs whatever you want to call them, can be a bit difficult, and sometimes I don't get them in the first. Try be very patient. I have some roots, but the good thing about this hairstyle is that it pretty much covers any roots that you have, so I'm just using the quarantine as an excuse. You know not getting money. Well, I mean it. It'S legit this time, but normally I let my roots get pretty long. So what I'm going to do is just part, my hair and separate, and I'm just going to take large sections. It does not have to be perfect and I'm taking my hot tools: curling iron. This is from Sally beauty, just hold it there for a couple of seconds now you don't have to pin your hair, but I'm just so used to pinning it, but I do and it'll at least keep the curl in a little bit longer. So what I'm going to do here is just curl my hair and then pin it to set it for a little bit and then, like this section, I'm just taking a large chunk because we're not trying to mold or shape the hair in any particular way. We just want the ends to be curled and that's it. I always like to start from the bottom and then work my way up to the sides and then all the way to the back, going up to the crown - and I usually like to stop about here when we get to this point right here. So I've pretty much curled up to my crown this section up here is where we're going to do the separation from our bumper bang to our other girls. So, depending on how much hair you have thickness length, you might have to adjust this or you will have to adjust this. I tend to go from here and then background, so you're, basically making a u-shape with your hair, and this is going to be my foe pain and then I'm going to curl the wrist. What I'm going to do is just curl this section. This is an optional bit of advice. It'S just an a trick. I think it's easier to roll it's easier to roll your hair into the the faux beam formation if your hair is at least a little bit curled. So that's why I like to do that and then you're just going to set it really fast like I said it really doesn't matter, but I like to do it like. I said I feel like it's easier and then we're done. That'S it hey guys just kidding. No way I'm just going to let this sit for about 15 minutes drink some wine. Oh, can we just talk about how much I underestimated press-on nails. I was dying without my nails. I I was desperate enough to get press-on nails because everyone was telling me to get press-on nails and I thought no way. I'M not gon na get puzzles. I am sorry, press-on nails forever thinking. I love you. These things have saved my life and they are freaking sturdy. I thought they would just pop off, but they are so strong. I got these at Target. Look it! Oh, my gosh. How fabulous is this? Okay? So now that we let our hair set, we are going to work on Lovings, so I'm just going to unpin this, so we're going to start at the lower section first. This is the section that you want to tease all the way up to the root. So I'm going to take this comb, this comb, I purchased at Sally Beauty. It'S already pretty beat up. As you can see, it's missing some teeth, I'm going to start at the root and just tease we're going to tease crap out of your hair. Now, how does this look everybody? This is pretty much how you want to get it. You want a lot of tees now. If your hair has issues teasing, I definitely recommend you spray some hairspray. First, let it dry just a tad and then start teasing in that, and that's going to help, so you can tease it a little bit this hairspray that I'm going to be using is the Suavecito firm hold hairspray. I love this stuff. They sent it to me and it's been incredible, so I definitely recommend it as you go back you're going to tease up further away from the root, so this next section I'm not going to go all the way to the root. I'M gon na stop about right. Here: okay, so that's what I'm gon na start teasing this one that as I'm going further back, I'm focusing more on the end, so the middle section and back so this is going to be my top layer. So I don't want to tease too much because then it's going to be hard to smoothen the the top surface, because you don't want it to look already from the top layer. Alright, so then you look like you just got electrocuted, so I'm just pulling everything in together and I'm going to take a soft bristle brush. This is one that I purchased years ago. I always have this in my videos years ago, at Target and just smooth. You don't want to comb through okay, because what we're doing is smoothing this top layer. So now that we have a semi smooth top layer, you're going to want to grab the ends, the tip and I'm going to use my fingers to start rolling okay when to roll and I'm using my thumbs, roll roll roll roll. Okay. Now I'm going to use my fingers and I'm going to meet at the middle section right here, okay! So when I do that, I'm going to start pulling okay, so pull on your bank just pull now things are gon na get messed up and you're gon na get frustrated, but it's okay. It'S all going to come together! So I'm pulling up the middle section. Then I'm gon na start working my way out. So what we're essentially doing is pulling the T's so that it starts creating that round up that round effect, okay and just start pulling, I'm gon na pull one side more than the other and, like I said, you may need to do this more than one time That happens to me all the time, so don't worry about it. I'M gon na take a bobby pin and I'm going to pin this back here. Okay, so now this section got messed up, but it's okay and it looks like that right now. I know, but we'll fix it, we'll fix it, don't worry and if not we'll redo it. This does not look great, but now what we're going to do is just start combing things down and trying to mold it and shape it as best as possible. Okay, it will eventually work out honestly, I'm not happy. I did not like the way that game out so, like I mentioned before, sometimes I don't even get it right the first time, so I decided to redo my bangs and, as you can see, it is going much smoother than the first time I did it. So please do not get discouraged if you do not get it right. The first time, I'm just basically going through all the steps once again and pinning these curls, and it was just a much better process. Okay now see how the second time I did it, it actually came out much smoother, so don't get frustrated you'll eventually get it boom. Look at that! Okay! So now, when you have it in the shape that you want everything's, good you're, happy gon na take some hairspray, so focus off the ends and use your hand to cup it and shape the edge Center. Any flyaways fix that. So that is it. It now will just style the rest of so what I'm going to do is just unpin. This bottom section, I'm gon na, take our comb and start teasing our hair, I'm taking this and just teasing the roots. This is just to get give my hair some volume. Now this step is optional, if you're, too afraid of teasing your hair, and you just don't want to damage it or are afraid of damaging it. You can skip the step. That'S perfectly fine, but what I like to do is just add a whole bunch of volume to my hair. I just love the way it looks with bumper banks. Okay, so now that you have all the sections teased, you want to make sure the top layer doesn't look like a ratted mess, so I'm just combing the top smoothing everything out just going to fluff them up a bit, see they're, not dramatic, curls or anything. It'S just to give your hair some Morse's die, then just add some hairspray. So now we're going to put our scarf on and just to make it easier. I'M going to spray a little bit of hairspray and I'm going to push this back a little bit because that's where our scarf is going to go these scarves, I always get questions on where I purchase them or who the seller is. If you look at Etsy and you type in like chiffon scarf or vintage scarf integer hair scarf anything like that. These will pop up it's a square, I'm gon na fold it like that and then I'm gon na fold it again like this and then I'm gon na fold it again and we're just going to slip this through the back and bring that once you have that Tied for extra security, I'm going to take bobby, pin and pin this back here, so I'm going to pin it as close as I can to this bow, because then you just cover up the bobby pin like that and voila. This is the final look ah-oh bags. I love forget bobbing. Let me show you the back, but here are our faux bangs looking like Barbie Barbie eat your heart out, but I hope this tutorial was helpful. I know the last bow bang tutorial. I did was a long time ago and I definitely needed to start updating these videos, so I hope you dolls enjoyed it. Please be sure to give this video a thumbs up and comment down below it'll really help support my channel and help with my engagement. Thank You, dolls for your continued support. Katie Taylor Hicks: I’m so glad I found your channel! You are amazing! I just wanted to give you a little tip about press on nails. I’m a licensed nail technician (that doesn’t work in that field anymore) and I completely ruined my natural nails with wearing acrylic nails for so many years. I constantly changed my nails because they were my calling card but the damage was eventually so bad my natural nails were thinner than paper and I’m not exaggerating. After about 8 months of doing intensive nail repair on myself daily they eventually began to grow back but were still in bad shape and hurt. But I missed my long beautiful and ornately decorated nails every day. I felt like my fingers just looked stumpy and gross. I, of course, had used press on nails several times but I knew using regular nail glue (like the kind that comes with them) would more than likely last 1/2 a day to 24 hrs if I didn’t knock them on anything. Which meant every time they popped off it would take a layer or partial layer of my nails that I didn’t have to spare so I would need them to stay on longer. So, I started to think outside of the box. I decided to use my husband industrial strength LocTite Threadlocker Red 271 Permanent Superglue. He’s a mechanic and it’s made to glue bolts and screws in permanently but it won’t be permanent on your fingers because of your body’s natural oils and stuff. Anyway, when I use that type of glue, which is always now, I can keep a set of press on nails on for about 2 weeks as long as I don’t have my hands in water constantly. I always wear rubber gloves when I wash dishes and when I’m using cleaners. After 2 weeks they will begin to loosen on their own. When they loosen and you’re ready to take them off all you need to do is use a teeth flossing pick and slide the thread/floss part under the nail at the cuticle and slide the thread up to the end of your nail. It’s always best to start at the cuticle and pull to the end and not the other way around so you don’t pull any layers of your nail away. My nails are healthy and I’ve never had any damage from using LocTite. Sorry this is so long but you’ve taught me so many cool things I thought I would share this with you.

Emi Sullivan: I have those glasses too! Love the updated videos! Can't wait to see more!
