Pin Up Hairstyle | Bangs & Victory Rolls | Tutorial

I'm going to show you how to recreate this cute, pin-up girl inspired hairstyle with victory rolls. A hairstyle especially for my ladies with bangs, but can definitely be worn without bangs as well!

Really sorry about the construction noises outside...

My name is Lucy, I'm a 23-year-old girl from the Netherlands, and I'm here to offer an alternative approach to beauty.

On this channel I do mostly hair tutorials where I show you how to braid, pin and style your own hair. I recreate hairstyles from movies & tv shows and I regularly come up with my own, which I love to share with you!

I do lifestyle and beauty videos as well, ranging from wearable everyday looks, makeup tips and DIY natural beauty treatments, to fashion lookbooks, vegetarian recipes and more extreme Halloween tutorials.

If you enjoy history, you've come to the right place as well. I have a few series based on historical makeup and hairstyling that are my little passion projects.

Enjoy browsing!

Hey guys, I promised I would bring you hairstyles with bangs, so here I am with the first one today, so I'm going to show you how to create this vintage pinup inspired hairstyle with victory rolls and bangs. So if you want to know how to do this, hairstyle then be sure to keep on watching. I am going to start by curling my hair with a medium sized curling iron. So before I do that, I'm going to spray my hair with a little heat detector. Just to be sure, I don't damage it too much. I am going to curl away from my face and every time I finish, a curl I'm going to hold onto it and pin it to my head to make sure it cools down in a curl trip, and I get a much tighter curl out of that. And since I am using a pretty large curling iron, that's going to make a big difference. I'M just gon na pin the curl right there and I'm going to curl all of my hair in the same way, all right. So I have picked up all of my hair and I am currently waiting for it to cool down and while I'm waiting for my hair to cool down, I'm going to work on my bangs. So I am just going to take that same curling iron and I'm going to curl my bags and that is going to create that really cute kind of vintage, pinup style so kind of on the fence about these bits. I think I'm just gon na leave them out for now and incorporate them into the hairstyle later, but these bangs right here I'm going to just wrap around my curling iron all right. So now that my hair is cooled down, I can take out all of my pins and release my curls. So I'm going to take a dense brush now and brush through these curls to make them all incorporate into one and create kind of more like big ways. Just like that, alright, so moving on to the actual victory rules, for that I am going to need one of these red seal codes or just any comb, actually very much. I'M going to separate out a section of hair from my center parting, all the way down towards my ear, like that, I'm just going to clip away the rest of my hair for now. While I work on this roll just to be sure it doesn't get in the way do the same thing on the other side, all right. So now it's important to incorporate those side pieces that I have that are a little bit longer than my bends. So I'm going to take all of this hair on the side and tease it on the bottom here, just back home. It'S like that, and now I'm going to take my brush again and just lightly go over the top to smooth this out and I'm going to create my roll. So, in order to do this, I'm just going to swoop all of this hair forward to make sure this part right here is looking nice and then, when it is, I'm going to create a little curl here in the front with the remaining hair, and this should Be too hard to do since the hair is already curled and wants to move into that round spiral shape? Okay, so that I'm going to push it into the roll like that and then slide a pin in right on the bottom into the center of that roll. Just like that, so now I'm going to spray this with hairspray to make sure it stays and then repeat the whole process on the other side. So I'm going to start by teasing my hair again smooth the top create my role, and this is where it really gets tricky, because I have to make sure that they are symmetrical Spray. This down, then, I can let down the rest of my hair and there is your vintage inspired victory rule hair style all done, so I really hope you enjoyed this video guys if you did don't forget to give a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel for More hair tutorials. I was thank you so much for watching, and I will see you very soon in my next video bye.

Faith B.: This is gorgeous, all of your historical hair tutorials are amazing! I'm tempted to wear it to school but it may be a bit much... I wish ladies still got fixed up for everyday. I just need to wait for a swing dance to come around so that I can use this hairstyle! XD

Hannah A: This is actually perfect timing - I'm working on a Captain America USO girl cosplay from the 1940s and I was researching hairstyles and this literally popped up on my new videos notification list right as I was Googling.

heavenly_ spears: When she brushed the curled I almost cried , it was soo beautiful

Dear Fat Friend: This is so gorgeous!! I'm wearing a vintage dress tomorrow so I think this hairstyle will go well with it. I was wondering if you could do Lorraine's hair from the Conjuring 2? You look amazingly cute with bangs btw! I miss mine now <3

Roxxie Dymond: Thank you so much for this. I am visually impaired so I rely more on description and you did such a great job as describing what it is you're doing! Keep up the good work, I appreciate you.

hey buddy: me: yes yes yes I can do this I will it'll look so cOOL also me: /cant even braid/

Zestyena: Finally there is a useful and gorgeous tutorial about vintage hair. Thank you so much! ❤️

Brooke Manda: I really LOVE that you do hairstyles with bangs. So so so many vintage hair tutorials only show how to style and roll the front without bangs. Thank you!

B: You always do such a great job on making everything quick and easy. Thank you so much!

Black Wolf Cosplay: This was really helpful thank you! My bangs are a bit similar to yours, long and easy to style in a modern way, so many vintage hairstyle videos either have no fringe or really short full bangs, and as much I love that on other people it wouldn't suit me at all! Nice to know I can still style my hair like this even with more "modern" bangs :)

Manuela Moraes: That looks SO GOOD on you, you should wear this all the time haha! Love from Brazil! <3

BRNA: This looks so elegant, you look gorgeous! Do you think this could work on short hair with bangs or incorporate it some how?

Skylark: This is so cute, I love everything pin-up! I wish I could do a hairstyle like that but my hair is so thick not to mention way too short. I am growing it out though :D.
