Hair Vlog | Curtain Bangs, Balayage, Cut And Color Transformation Post Quarantine

Hello, you guys and welcome back to the vlog, so today dedicating today's entire vlog to a little hair transformation. Video i am headed in to salty maine, which is in santa monica and we're gon na. Do my hair, which i am so excited about i'll, like take it down and show you guys, but it has been a hot minute since i got my hair done i'm this is my hair right now, so it hasn't been colored and i want to say since Whenever i posted my last vlog, which i feel like is probably eight months ago, but i don't really know um, but so i had, it hasn't been colored. I used to get balayage, but i only ever do balayage like once a year right before the summer happens. Just to lighten my hair and like bring out the natural like dimension, so that's what we're doing today and then i think i think i want to do curtain bangs, but i want to do like full-blown curtain bangs so how they kind of like swoop over. Like you know to the side and don't tuck behind your ear, i have gotten bang bangs once like straight across bangs four years ago, and i like loved the look of them, but i hated the maintenance. Is that probably gon na happen with these curtain bangs? I feel like yes, because i think anything that you can't just easily tuck behind your ear or pin back and a low bun. Like you guys know, if you watch the vlogs, i literally wear my hair up or in low buns like 80 for 80 of the time. So this is gon na be definitely a transition, but i don't know i feel like summer is here: quarantine is still kind of here, but we're opening up a lot more and just vibes are high summer is around the corner, i'm just feeling a good change. So that's what we're gon na do today. I have pretty like auburn red hair, but sometimes on camera. It picks up brown um, but no, it's like a red auburny, hair color. So i am obsessed with my hair color. I love my natural hair color. I just want to make it a little bit more fun for summertime, so that's kind of where we are. This is the little before shot. I will take you guys through what she says and what we're going to do all that good stuff. So it's just going to be a little transformation, hopefully, by the end of this video i come out looking not too drastically different, but definitely a good change up compared to like any recent hair salon visits that i've done. Follow-Up um yeah, okay, but you want to be a redhead still like right, yeah like the tones yeah. I, like i love my hair color like i love the red, but i definitely especially now that it's warmer i like to bring out more dimension and just make it lighter. So typically, i don't like to touch my roots just so that they can stay the same. Also, i kind of want curtain bangs, okay. I wanted to get your opinion on it, though, because obviously i trust you on whether or not it would make sense with my face, but i know sometimes when people get curtains the first time around, they tend to do it like very lightly like not but yeah. You know yeah just yeah kind of accentuate the red in your hair yeah that was kind of like blonde like blonde beiging, i kind of rather be a little bit richer than that yeah. I agree with this like dark ish, a little bit of baby okay yeah. Yes, so this is just rinsing out this side, okay, um and then we're gon na put the treatment on scoot your butt down a little bit more so just kind of like we did the other side like it's just as it processes um it's it's like a Timing thing so like, as i was applying that this finished you know gotcha, i'm like pretty quick, but if you're super fast then like maybe i could have like left the back and this one side but looks like your hair lifts really quickly and like we don't Want it white, you know like we want that cool yeah and, like i'm gon na tone it darker still, but we don't need to like lift it too much, and then is this like the toner. Is this just a treatment? This is just treatment: gotcha yeah. We don't until like it's all done, processing the other half in my head and i got some angry, so so, okay, so it just got done and i am obsessed with the color. It is just so like trying to show you guys, i feel, like i probably have to do it a little better justice and better lighting, but i feel like it is just so ready for spring and summer nice and bright, like nice, warm golden honey, blonde, balayage, Um, i'm obsessed, although i have so much hair like so much hair, so we couldn't get around to doing the cut. Hence no curtain, bangs um, so i'm gon na have to come back later this week and we'll do a little quick cut. But i don't know, as she was styling it i was like do i want curtain things because i do kind of like the way that it looks right now, but i still think curtain bangs would be really fun like a little like kind of shaggy curtain. Bang. Look it'd be very different, so if i don't want different, oh my gosh, they don't want different. I could stick with this, but if i want different than we could do a little curtain curtain - bangs - maybe i'll play around with it. When i get home and see what i think i know they're going to be a lot of maintenance, which is my only hesitation but yeah, i love the color. It is so good. I can't remember if i mentioned this, but i went to salty maine. They are based in santa monica um. I saw lyanna, but all of the girls that i've ever met there. I have friends that have gotten their hair done by other girls and everyone. There is amazing, like literally goddesses at hair, so you can't go wrong, especially if you're in the la area, if you're not but you're close by they're, also 110 worth the drive. But i will keep this vlog to be continued and i will bring you guys along when i go and get my hair cut as well and we'll do a full transformation. So i won't leave you hanging just yet all right. So it is a week and a half a week and a half later since i got my color and you guys it still looks so good. I just took my hair out of a ponytail, so it's like kind of a mess, but i am obsessed with the color. It almost makes me want to go lighter over summer. Usually i just do my hair like once or twice a year and i just let it grow for six months and then i do it again, but i don't know lyanna killed it and i feel like maybe in three or four months i might bring the blonde Up even a little more, i still don't think i'd ever touch my roots, but i'm obsessed but anyways um, i'm about to go in and do my haircut now. So, as you guys know, we didn't have time to do it in the last one, so we're finally cutting our hair and this past week and a half has been a whirlwind. I'Ve gone back and forth so many times on whether or not i want to commit to getting curtain bangs and mainly, i know i'm gon na like them. I think that they'll look good, but i'm also such a low maintenance kind of gal, and i am literally asking for the most high maintenance type of cut um, so i was like. Maybe i just won't, do it and after she styled after she styled my hair. I was like oh shoo, i love this. I don't think i need curtain bangs like i love my hair, but then part of me wants something so vastly different and new. Like we'll see, i think i'm gon na go in and i'm gon na ask for the curtain bangs, but i do also trust lyanna. So if she thinks something will look better in my hair, then i will trust her. So, who knows what we're gon na come out of the salon looking like today, but i see now i'm going back and forth today i was like i'm gon na. Do it i'm gon na get the damn curtain bangs? I want them to be super heavy like i don't want some like bs fake curtain bangs i want to like barely be able to see and like have them be really really drastic. But now i'm looking at myself in this camera and i'm like, but i kind of like my hair. The way it is - and all i need is a trim who knows we'll see we'll see. I'M gon na have to take major notes on how you style start a little longer first, and then we can take more off. Okay me already pushing it out of my face. I was like yeah you're touching it, but like sometimes it's better to just like be above the eye. You know yeah and then it grows out so fast that right, like i, don't want to have to cut it myself or like comment. I mean you're. Definitely gon na have to come in and get fingers for sure so like that. Just is what it is because like please don't try to cut it yourself. Oh my god! No okay, don't do it forward if you do it forward, it's going to look like a stack and then you kind of split it where your heart is, and you can kind of overdraft over each side and then roll it and let it cool, but always away From the face, always behind don't do it down. Okay, that's gon na give you that, like okay, so here's a little hair, 360.. Okay, final last, look i just got home and i'm sitting on the patio, but i wanted to give you guys a full look, even though i just did the hair 360.. I am obsessed you guys, look at these little bangs. I love them. She kind of showed me how to style them with a round brush and a blow dryer, so i'm sure on the vlogs you'll see me attempt to style them. Will i ever get them to look this good again? I don't know also, we used the t3 one and a half inch barrel on my hair, so that's kind of how we made these curls and waves and then, like i said, the blow dryer and then i think she said she used a two inch round brush And i mean i kind of got footage of it, but she's just like curls it back and then curls it out, so that these bangs look like this, but i'll keep you guys updated. I am obsessed and like look at the color. This is a week and a half a week. No yes yeah! We have like what day is it um a week and a half? No no two weeks, two weeks is two weeks since i got it done. Oh, my god time is flying and the color looks so good. I might her and i were talking um. I don't think i got on camera, but her, and i were talking about how basically my balayage goes up to like here-ish, like you can kind of see where it starts to fade at my roots, but because of that she didn't put a lot of color in The front so my bangs are a lot darker than the rest of my hair, so i might go in. I don't think i'll do a separate appointment, but whenever i need to get my curtain, bangs touched up in like a month or two which i'm gon na go in and she's also gon na kind of add a little bit of color to the front of my Bangs that way, they kind of match the rest of my hair and they're, not significantly darker, and then i still have those like bright face frame, face framing pieces right next to my eye. If that makes sense, so we didn't have time to do that today, because we didn't really decide that we were going to do that until it was too late um, but yeah, that's kind of where we're at that's.
