Hey guys welcome back to my channel, as you can see, we're in a bit of a different space today, my bangs or fringe, whatever you call them we're getting really long when I decided to trim them today - and I thought I'd film, this video for you guys So I can show you guys how I trim my own things or fringe, and I thought this would be especially helpful for you guys, since we are all in quarantine and you can't go out to go, get a haircut or get your bangs trimmed. So if you guys have bangs or fringe or if you want to try some bangs right now, while you're in quarantine or if you wanted to take this quarantine time to try out some bangs, because you know if it doesn't look good, no one's gon na see You for a couple of weeks, so now's the perfect time to try out some bangs or fringe, if you've always wanted to the one. Last thing that I want to say before I show you guys how I trim my bangs is that I do not usually film any sort of like beauty or hair type videos. So it was quite challenging for me to film this video, as I was doing it, but I tried my best. I hope it's still helpful. If you guys have any questions, you can leave a comment down below or message me on instagram at the Luci space, and I am more than happy to help you guys answer any questions you have about cutting your own bang, so yeah. I just wanted to show you guys, and hopefully this will be helpful okay, so the first thing you want to do is section off the part of your hair that you want to cut, and what you can do here is you can create a triangle or what I like to do is I like to create kind of a rounded triangles, so the sides of the triangle that I'm creating it's a little bit rounded. As you can see, it looks almost like a half circle, but it still has a little bit of a triangle shape I like to use kind of a rounded triangle, because it gives more volume to my bangs. If you want thinner bangs, then just grab less hair and you can see that the highest part of the triangle on my head. I start that point about two inches from my hairline so now that I've sectioned off this area, I just tied the rest of my hair up and then I'm just going to kind of clean up the lines of the section I'm planning to cut and just to Make sure that everything looks pretty then okay, so now I'm ready to start cutting. I'M gon na take about a one-inch section of my bangs and I'm gon na start at one end, and I pull it straight to see where it becomes kind of. I level with my eyes and that's how much I'm gon na cut. So I want the longest pieces of my bangs, which are on the ends to be level with my eyes, and the reason why I like to keep the sides of my bangs a little bit longer is because it helps to really frame the face. So now you can see when I'm cutting I'm going very slowly and slow motions and I'm cutting vertically. You don't want to cut straight across because then you create very straight blunt bangs and I kind of like my bangs textured, textured and PC. So I cut upwards and you want to just keep doing this until you get the perfect length that you like. So you can see that I kind of let my bangs go every couple of trims just to see how much I'm cutting off and then you know if it's not enough, then I'll just keep going. But you just repeat this a couple of times until you get your desired length and then, when I'm pretty much on my desired length, I will do one kind of slanted straight across cut it's slanted in the direction that my bangs are slanting. That way, I can just get rid of any small pieces of hair and just kind of clean it up a little bit. Okay. So then, I'm done with that section. I'M going to take the next 1 inch section of my hair and then also leave in a little bit from the section that I already cut so that I know to cut from the longer pieces of hair. And then I can make sure that all my bangs are even so, then what I'm going to do is I'm going to cut vertically again and then I'm just going to cut so that it starts to match the length of the section I had already cut. Okay, so now I'm gon na start trimming the other end of my bangs, and you can see that one side is longer, so I'm just going to kind of eye it and then try and trim it so that it matches the other side. And then I use the same technique here. I'M kind of just cutting up words and my scissors are a little bit slanted and you can do that. You don't have to cut straight up and down. You can slant your scissors a little, and this just helps each section of your hair to blend in together a little bit better, so that nothing looks like you know, there's separate layers or separate sections and it so it doesn't look really choppy, like everything just looks Like it's blended in really well together, okay, so once everything looks pretty good. What I do is I go back through and I just kind of do a little bit of touch-up clean up and then just take different pieces, different sections of my bangs and then, if anything, doesn't look, even if any of the sections that I had cut look Kind of you know they don't like blend well together. Then I'll just trim specific portions of my bangs to blend all the sections in better and you just want to keep doing this until you like the way your bangs look and until everything is pretty blended and then, when I do this step here, I do sometimes Make these straight across cuts and the reason - and you can do this at this stage and the reason is because you know any sort of straggler hairs that are there: it's just a couple of pieces. So if you go straight across you're just going to catch those odd ones, sticking out like the odd pieces of hair sticking out you're not going to make a really blunt cut across. So that's just a quick way to kind of even out everything and make sure everything is the same length. Okay, so that's pretty much it! I'M gon na take my hair out now just to see what the final results look like. You can still do cleanup work if you need to at this point, but I'm pretty happy with how the results turned out all right guys. Thank you so much for watching. I hope you found this to be helpful. It'S a little bit different from what I normally do, but yeah I'm just wanted to change things up a bit bit and give you guys some DIY during this quarantine time.
