Welcome all new viewers, and congratulations to my Twitch stream for hitting the reward of giving 100,000 Channel Points to our Community Goal -for a live-streamed haircut! This is my preferred style: long layers with face-framing bangs. I used to think only professionals could cut hair, but during 2020 I learned that we could do this at home too - in an hour!

***I streamed this on Twitch, so yes it may look different from traditional haircutting tutorials! But it is still made with love, heart, and hair parts xo***

Yes, i usually do cut my own hair now ever since hold on ever since the pandemic. I started cutting my hair before that. No, i would never cut my hair because i thought it was something that only professionals did, but i found out during the pandemic. It'S not that hard and you can do it at home too. Are we back guess who turned off the whole system by checking to see if something was plugged in this girl um? Thank you for being so patient. I obviously you've seen my wires set up. It'S pretty embarrassing here there that's! This is the craziness of what i'm trying to manage anyway, that's the magic behind the making, but i wanted to do it in a space that was easier for me to cut and also have a nice thing to collect my hair in on the ground. Well, now that i'm here, i'm probably just going to cut off my whole hair, not all of my hair, but i was originally just going to do bangs, but since it took so long to set it up well, you can't hear the music okay okay hold on. I'M going to do this, no we're back we're just we're just having fun with our audio, because that's the the most fun thing to play with. Don'T worry. My stream setup is only a few feet away. Yes, we're gon na we're gon na cut we're gon na cut the hair. I haven't cut my hair since august and it's now march, so that's a good seven or eight months and it's time it's time to refresh got ta refresh it sometimes and congrats channel. Our staff links channel got to 100 000 channel points in order to make this community goal happen so great job. Now i'm going to show you how i cut my hair, it's actually quite easy. It will take me three minutes. I'M gon na go yeah. You can see here that we're starting with long, but you see how it's kind of heavy. Also you can see that the ends see how the ends are kind of fraying it's dead and we want to make it alive in order to make it alive. We'Re gon na we're gon na cut it same here. You can see on this side probably easier, so it's a good few inches of dead hair, which is not fun to touch it's kind of straw like so i do cut it myself. Well only during the pandemic, i started cutting it myself because you can't do it anywhere else. I started and now i actually really really like it and enjoy it. I cut it twice so far, so third time's the charm right now, so you can see the back too. So you see the front and you see how it's dead, also notice. The the face framing bangs are supposed to be face framing and they're. Not. I look like cousin it when i put the bangs in front they're way too long they're down to here. They should be here. Ideally, i, like it kind of hairstylists, say you probably wanted to frame your face and be here, but i prefer a little more fun like here, just a little more edgy, but it's too way too long can't do anything fun. It'S just very heavy. I can't see if i have bangs and then this is the back. The back is very long see how long it is, and it's not necessarily in good shape. It'S got. Those dead ends for a few inches from here to here you want to make them better, or else it's just kind of a sheet of of hair, and i don't know i don't know if the lighting shows it, but yes, the ends are definitely dead. You want to use sharp and proper hair cutting scissors, so i have these they're, not the greatest, but they are. They will get the job done, but they're different from regular scissors because they're a little finer and a little sharper. So you want to use these. I also have little clips. Of course, i don't have any of the same kind, so i've got a barrette, i've got a flower clip and i've got another mini clip and i've got a broken. Big clip see it's snapped off one of those things, that's what happens when your hair gets unruly, it just snaps things in pieces. All of these things will be very useful. I have multiple types of combs. I have this type of little comb. I'Ve got a bigger comb, but it's missing some teeth. I'Ve got. This is something that i use on wet hair, which i'm going to make her wet soon, and then this is just a round brush simple, simple, easy tools. What we're going to do is a combination today of two things. One is just long layers on the back and just overall, so it's not as discombobulated and then we're going to do the face framing beings to make it come together nicely at the end of this, we'll see it'll either be better or it will be worse. Luckily, you get to come along with me for the journey self-care at home with steph woodburn, all right, it was going to be good. I have a new video out on my youtube. The last time i went to creative, where i thought it was fun and we sang kumbaya and held hands. I just got murdered a ton, and that was educational. Cutting your own hair is basically a superpower. Yes, yes, we're gon na start be right. Back. I like to cut it wet some people cut it dry, but i like to make sure it's wet, because that's usually what you do at a salon the girls haircut can be. You can find groupons for them, but um they could be 80 to 200. They could be very expensive and that's if you don't even do coloring or sometimes that's even without them drying it. You shaved your heads for decades. Well, you've saved a ton of money, be right back, be right! Back, okay! So now my hair is wet. I am going to start with i'm not that stylish, but thank you. I just get um, i'm just really open to recommendations and help and feedback from people who are first. We start with for all of you who are going to do long, layered haircuts at home. First, we start with separating the top part from the bottom part and the bottom part is going to determine our length and i'm gon na use. My nice big broken clip to get that out of the way, and then i have this here so then i separate it into two sections. What'Ll be really exciting is if i don't miss a chunk, but i'm sure someone will eventually tell me when we go back out into the world. Hello seth, you missed a chunk while cutting your hair. So then, what i'm going to do to set the length is i'm going to bring this back part forward and i'm going to use this comb i'll really do this right now use this comb and kind of bring it forward, and then i'm going to choose a Length to see how long i want it and let's say we want to cut off, i think a few inches is good. This is all dead, so you want to cut off enough where it has an impact. Okay, i think this is good. This is going to be three and a half inches. I'D, say bye-bye. So just cut that part, then what you're supposed to do is go in and you do this thing. So if you don't want the ends to be super blunt you're supposed to take your scissors - and you go in like this in order to trim it a bit, so i just go in to make it not perfect, because perfect is boring, so you want to make It a little jagged, but that's what makes it more interesting. Then you take this piece and you use this. The part that you cut to choose how long the front is going to be. We bring all of it together. So then you take this and let's see where we cut the hair, i'm gon na use that to guide the next cut. Do you see how this from the first one is going to help me determine the next one? So there i take this and i cut upwards first and then i go back in because this is boring. It'S not. I don't know this is what the pros say, and so you go back in and you i don't know, make it more interesting by doing a little bit of textured cutting yay okay. So i see on this side now. This is the side i have not yet cut. This is the side i've cut and it's still slightly layered, because the angle with which we cut it at those on twitch has yes, very that's great, that's perfect, because vogue needs to be on twitch and who else? Besides the girl with the chanel headphones chanel style, headphones made by herself should be the representative of that. Oh, you can hear you can't see you can't see. What do you mean? You can't see uh how's, that okay great you move off camera. Okay, awesome, excellent! Okay! So now we did that to one side and if we don't want a totally lopsided head, we have got to do that to the other side. Let'S go forward. One thing to think about is that your hair shrinks when it dries so for all the ladies, you wanna make sure that you give it a little more length. So now, i'm gon na take this. I'M gon na measure take the back section from this side and i'm gon na measure and make it somewhat similar. So, let's see about there, which is about yeah three and a half inches from point to point and then i'm going to cut, let's make sure they're. Even again, this always takes me longer than i think it will, because i want to make sure it's even so yeah about here, i'm just going to cut. I always every time i crack the ah. I hope it goes well. Am i still in the stream when i do that, or should i move it over a little more, i'm testing the cord limits and then we're gon na double check and make sure the lengths are the same. This one actually has a little bit longer. There'S a piece here: that's too long, just escaped me: i'm gon na cut it again. Also the thing is, i don't really go for perfect here, because no one really sees me up close and personal these days. It doesn't matter as much and you know whatever it's gon na grow out. It'S just hair, okay. So now i'm gon na do the same thing. Where i combine the two pieces. This is a little trickier for me because it's the other hand, but i'm gon na still do it anyway, but so you see here see how this part this section that i already cut. I'M gon na use that to guide the rest of my hair, i'm gon na just go a little further in and i'm gon na cut it you see. These are the i'm sure this is fascinating. These are the pieces that i'm cutting there's some longer ones. So that's probably gorgeous on string and then i want to go in and make it a little more fun, but we're gon na go into this. You don't want it totally straight. I don't know why they do it actually, but you always go in. You go like this. Does that make sense it doesn't have to it's just what you do. Oh you know what else i'm doing, which is really exciting. I'M making sourdough bread, which is super exciting from scratch. I got some sourdough starter and then you feed the starter and it's my little pet and i feed it and it's great and i'm gon na make some bread today, i'm gon na make some bread today, let's continue on with our hair cutting. So you see, we've already cut off some dead ends, which is nice. If you see from the back, it is not exactly a straight line, but it's a little bit tapered or it should be. If i did it right so see how it's a little bit tapered and that's the look that you're going for when you go for the that tapered layered look, so it's not a straight across line, but it's nice and i don't know if you heard any of That, because of the microwave basically microphone, basically it's not a straight line, it's tapered and it makes it more fun. Cooking stream is next. No, i have to figure out. So let's continue so now, i'm gon na take this hair in the back. Take this hair in the back and i'm going to pin it so i'm going to take this clip off the top and use it to make sure that the bottom is locked into place, because i don't want to touch the bottom right now. We'Re only going to go for the top part, so now we have the top part, and you want to make sure that you part it in the middle again we're kind of like cousin it here. This is why i have this this type of brush, by the way, this one's easier to work with when your hair is wet, and it's not quite as fine as a fine-tooth comb, especially if you have a lot of hair like me, so you straighten it out And you want to center it in the middle, so you take it in the middle here there and there's a little piece here. That'S hanging out! So i'm going to use my extra mini little clip right here and clip that piece. So we don't accidentally cut it. While i'm doing the rest of my head, okay - and you want to make sure so here - it's not perfectly straight and again, it doesn't need to be perfect. But you want to just make sure, there's no obvious lumps in the hair, because it's going to come back to bite you later, if there's excess on one or the other. So now we have it on both sides here, and this is the top part of my hair brought down. So now. What i'm gon na do is take my comb and make a section here, so maybe three quarters of an inch to the side so that it's even okay and i'm gon na flip that over now i'm gon na take this part and tie it up good thing. We have our third clip, so i'm going to use my third non-matching clip here again, you just use what you have. If you were at a salon, you would have those there are long silver clips. I once upon a time had them don't know where they went. It'S just like hair bands, all those things they just disappear. Somehow, okay, so now that's successfully out of the way stay. Hydrated cheers everyone take a sip, i hope you're having a good day, i'm gon na do one thing for lighting. I'M gon na see if it helps or hurts we'll see. Okay, let me know if this is better or worse, but i decided usually i just live in a cave for twitch, but this is some natural sunlight. So there we go lighting is better okay, great yeah. So we've got some natural sunlight now. You know that that thing that i keep forgetting. Okay, let's continue so i'm also i'm separating the same section from the center so about three quarters of an inch to an inch on this side. Okay, you can see there's a snarl. This is what we call a snarl, that's what girls have to get out the snarls, oh okay, and now i have to clip this part out of the way uh-oh i've run out of clips. So good thing. I'Ve got my shiny little rhinestone clip bread, neither what is it called so now. This is the lovely start. You can see how long the hair is on the top, but this is what we want to be our shortest layer, but look it's so long. Okay. I look like i look like a dr seuss character, so you want to go like do. Do do do do and you want to hold the tension with your fingers all the way to the top so see how these this is shorter. This is the way that it ideally is going to be when i finish with the face framing bangs, but this is way longer than i like. I like it cut here, so this also needs another few inches off of it. This is going to be my shortest layer, so i go straight up here. This is the scariest cut, because this one determines determines it all more tension. We need more tension. Do you know what i mean when i say tension? It needs to be need to be solid, so i'm going to cut off all of that dirty dancing, exactly dirty dancing, that's it. They said this. Your space is mine. Gon na hold the tension, hold the tension, so i have to hold the tension in this hair. Don'T want to mess this part up. This will also guide the rest of our hair, so we go doo doo, doo doo, i'm gon na cut off this much. It seems like a lot, but it's gon na make my hair more interesting, or so we hope this is probably a good four inches. Ah, this is what i do like. Oh please, work out. Snip, oh man, hope it was good and then i'm going in and i'm cutting it like this see how it's a little. You don't want it totally perfect, it's more! It'S more fun! Ah, look! Yes, exactly the spaghetti arms, so this is now my shortest layer. So we cut off this much. You can tell how long it is. I guess my hand yeah, there's just a lot of hair and you'll see it won't. Look that i mean it shouldn't. Look that much different or shorter from when i started so now that we've done this, so we have that three quarters inch on each side. So i take this and i don't need half of it anymore right now anyway, so so see how that part's, not very good we're going to redo that part. Okay, that's getting better the part by the way! This is what i would look like with short hair. See it's really fun. What do we think? Should i cut my hair really short? I won't right now um how many characters have your responsibilities. I know so now i'm gon na clip this more snarls snarls see this snarl if the snarl gets really bad. Sometimes you have to cut off the whole snarl, but hopefully not i've. Only that's only happened when i there was gum if gum is involved, good luck, putting this around the little clip and i'm gon na re-clip it once i find the top of this clip already. I'M much happier with this length and of course, i'm gon na fix it with my bangs later, although this is really short, but that's okay, that's going to go in the back of the head, so this is actually not a bang. This goes behind here. So then you see the shortest layer in the back is going to be right. There then we're going to undo this side. So now, just like the last time. This part that i cut i'm going to use that for the rest of the length and the rest of the layers to help guide, how long it is, and so because i cut off about this much from the top. It would be it's going to be around there for for the rest of it, so i'm going to take a section of hair and let so last time i had about a three quarter inch now, let's make it no one and a half two inches here. If i miss a spot, you better tell me, you hold me accountable and so the same thing where i comb up and we want that tension wide tooth comb, bristles missing. It'S okay, use what you got already. My hair is starting to get a little bit dry. So i'm gon na spritz it spritzer. I think i locked it smart of me smarted me, because you know when i was moving. My equipment around one usb maybe fell into a bowl of water, the bowl of water. I have right here, i'm gon na. Do this again and this side is a little trickier for me, so you see this see how there's the shorter pieces there and then this longer pieces. So i'm going to use this as the guide for when i cut my hair, oh gosh. I can't see, though, okay, this is a problem, so then i just kind of squint and hope that i'm seeing it right such a pro well here goes nothing. I hope. That'S right, that's a lot of hair! Oh, some of that seems longer so now the hair pieces are getting longer that i cut oh well whatever too late and then we're gon na go in and snip again because we don't want it to be totally totally perfect. Because, again, that's kind of boring, bold, decisive cuts exactly exactly. We have to have some danger full of water. No, i need a bowl of water. I see a bowl of water because i'm going to need to wet my hair again because as thick as it is it dries while it while i cut it and then it needs to be wet. So you see how it's a lot shorter here see. So now i don't need part of this hair, so i'm going to take this part. Put it over to this side, i'm going to clip it, so it just stays out of my way and then we're gon na take these guides get a longer section of hair and do the same thing so right last time. I did it here, so we're gon na go a little lower this time right here, see that and we're gon na. Oh, what's this side, this is a missing piece of hair from the other side. Where is it this side? Oh, it's kidding. It'S kidding it's getting unruly so again, i'm gon na dip this in the bowl of water because it will help keep it make it. My hair wet again so see this see how there's some here and it's not that neat. So i can trim that but see how there's the short pieces here and then the long. So you use this as a guide to cut that part. So i'm going to do that again difficult to see, i'm sure there's a better. I could do it with my other hand. Again, let me try it with the other hand, then, of course i have to cut with the left hand scissors. So, let's just see okay, so here. Actually, this is a little easier, so you can see here and then i'm going to cut with my left hand, but it is easier to see we're cutting off quite a bit. No, this scissors, not cutting. I think i need to do it. With my other hand, this is the fun part about diy, i'm just going to hold it up to here. So i can oh look another comb. This is how thick my hair is. I just broke another one of these combs off the teeth, the teeth off of it. So now i'm going to take this and up here, keep messing it. Let'S do it again. Last time this time's the charm, my arms on hands also get really tired the day after because you've been holding it up so much i'm just gon na go for it. I'M just gon na go for it, whoa, don't look and hope it turns out. Well: okay, there you go see this and now we're gon na point cut it a little bit in here. My arm is tired. I live with girl, find long hairs everywhere. Yeah if you live with girls, you'll find hair everywhere, just be all over the floor. Kitchen bathroom hallway stuck in your vacuum, stuck in everywhere. Oh i need to stretch i'm just gon na take a selfie. Oh thank you for hosting my stream. If you're following please follow the channel, i'd really appreciate it and if you're subbing thank you so much see how much more fun this is now see. Look look at the lightness and the fun of this. I think it's it's good. The layers might be a little choppier this time. It'S not that i messed up. It'Ll grow back. It'Ll grow back, it's good because the hair, the head is curved. It makes natural layers. Does that make sense? Okay, i didn't mess up, but i'm wondering so you know. I have this part clipped in the back, so you see it's still pretty long in the back right. It would be helpful for me to see if i wanted to create more of these layers, if i can add the hair from the back and put it up here and then aim towards a certain thing. I mean i'm doing something new. I haven't done this part before i want to try it a different way, because i think this way might work better. So i'm going to take the part that i put in the back and i'm going to add that to the layers that i'm putting going up. So now we've got a nice assortment of clips on this side, holding our hair back and, of course, this one's. Sometimes you have little escapers tuck that behind the ear - and this is the side here - you can tell that there's already more layers and it's more. It'S healthier, but there was that section here that we didn't cut flip, that over to this side now see now my hair is almost dry, so we take our handy spray thing, make it it's gon na cut with wet hair, or i like cutting with oh there's That comb piece, it's okay, life's, not perfect, neither are combs, then we're gon na do the same thing where we go around and we go to the back and this time put everything up like this again we create that tension and we see that our shortest layers Are here, can you see the shortest layers are right there, so we're going to cut this part off, and you know what i like to say a little prayer right before i do it be like. I hope this is right and then we're going to cut this at the angle trying to get it on my catcher here. So that's a lot of hair, then we're gon na go in and kind of point cut it. Let'S see, did we totally mess up? All of our hair, no, no! It'S! Okay! It'S okay! Okay, there's just gon na be a little bit of a jump. Okay! Now i do want to leave this long. I'M going to go up this and make sure that it's all about the same which it is so this is this side and, as you can see, it's layered and tapered say a little prayer for you. I got ta say a little prayer for you all right. So this is that side and you see it's more light and the dead ends are gone and it's tapered. Have you all seen my best friend's wedding that song is in there and it's really great and you can see if you look in the back. It'S not that much shorter. Can you see it's not that much shorter but see how it's tapered and kind? It'S going to look like a v. Once you have the other side, you could probably cut a little more off the bottom actually, but we'll see when it's totally dry. If we want to do with that now, let's let me continue with our epic epic adventure, oh and see this side now. So it's exciting more exciting here, there's top! So what we're gon na do. Am i happy with it? So far, so in the phil lord and chris miller video, they say that they're, the best they can get to coming close to liking their work. Is it's just relief? So am i happy with it? No, the end result i'll be happy, but i'm trying to just enjoy the process like so many things in life. Okay, so now i'm taking out the butterfly clip and the other side. I just did this a tie. Get this side out of the way and we're going to do the same thing. You know that beginning chunk at the beginning, at the top, where we cut this a certain length, so i'm going to do that now to the other side, so we're going to dunk our comb with a lot less teeth in it. Now, once i get my teeth into it, make it get it damp again so yeah i have both a bowl of water and a spray thing. The bowl of water i use is when i want to get a lot more water on it and i use a spray bottle if i just want to spray part of it or touch up part of it. Okay, okay, then, i'm gon na take this and do remember. We had a three-four section hair here, so we're gon na go another inch or two over inch inch and a half over and we're gon na make this this line right there, i'm gon na grab it pull up. This side is a little easier because it naturally goes with the way that my fingers can hold it. So you see that piece there. That'S the the guide that guide so now, i'm going to cut according to that which is much easier for me to see on this side. So this side may be significantly better than the other side, and then i'm going to take this see how it's kind of too straight here, which would make some weird lines, so you want to point cut inwards to make it a little more fun. This is not my best point cut, but it's okay. So then i have this match here. Okay, so now like we did on the last side, we're gon na take this side and section that we don't need anymore, pull it over here and we're gon na clip. It with our handy little rhinestone barrette clip, so we don't need this part. Then we're going to take this or we're going to comb it i'm going to spray it because it is very just dries very quickly. Actually, that's not true. It never dries quickly. It just takes me longer to cut my hair than i ever think it will okay and then i comb and then i'm going to take another section of hair like this hold it with tension, see here the guide and the rest of the hair. So i'm gon na cut that and then go back in point cut. You guys get. The idea now want to see something really gross i'll, save it till the end. I want to see all of the all the hair. That'S right here, i'm going to take out this back here this, the back section and i'm going to comb it all together. Again, i'm going to wet the hair because it's dry and i'm going to take some of this and put it over because it's unnecessary at this point so we'll take this and oh wait. Actually, let's just do this part and move this over. I have another clip. That'S where these clips come in handy and now for our final, let's dry again spray this i'm gon na do the same thing. I don't know that's a little too much for me, so i'm gon na think again pause and let the back section be so like that section. This section can just be. This might not be the most even cut, but it'll be something. So this is the last big piece we'll cut, ideally, unless there is something significantly wrong with and then we will think again debating debating. Let me try not doing this part for a second, i have to see what i did on this side of my head. Let'S see, oh, i guess i cut it because it's a lot shorter, okay, i guess i do have to cut it. Oh well, i guess we're gon na cut it where's. The guide. I think it's around here so see here. This is where i'm just gon na be okay, let's hope for the best at least, i still have some hair okay, it might be too long, whatever whatever it'll grow, i'm gon na i'm gon na make it a little less short, okay, so much for not getting Hair all over my floor. I think that should be it. Oh, it feels much shorter and much healthier, actually yeah. So you see how all the layers are coming together, a little more nicely, i think so, except maybe the bottom, that's okay! So i'm gon na comb! This out we're working on the bangs now so you can see from the back. I can't see it's a lot shorter or a few inches shorter, but it's still long and it's healthier at the end i'll dry it. So you can see you can see that the layers are more visible here in the front and it still looks it's still of a good length and it's definitely a lot healthier than it was before there you go. I wanted to do an unbinding spell. I don't know if you all read the name of the wind, but so you know you bind them with a lock of hair or a bunch of hair which is now on the ground. I'Ll show you all of the hair, but i want to do an unbinding spell, but i wonder if you need a lock of hair for that good, i'm glad yeah. It looks so it looks more fun. Now we're going to move on to face framing bangs. Do you want to see all the hair i cut? Can you see it it's kind of gross anyway, just thought you might really enjoy that hi, i'm back. I opened the window for even more light. So let me know if this lighting is better. I did some more set deck. I sometimes like to have little flowers to make the apartment nicer and have some life inside refilled, the coffee. I got my this we're gon na use a blow dryer later, oh, my god. I have hair everywhere. Okay, this is super great, oh god, i have hair in my mouth literally everywhere. Okay, all right all right! This is gon na, be fine! It'S fine! It'S totally! Fine! It'S fine! So now we're gon na do the face framing bangs and then i'm gon na dry. It so we can see what the final thing looks like i'm gon na spray it to make it wet again. Oh god, where did my comb? Go it's disappearing under the hair, so we're gon na go like this, and we're gon na make this part down the center, and we want this pretty exact, because this is going to be our part. You can see it's not quite exact here, so i'm going to do it again. It keeps looking off center to me. Maybe my head is crooked or my face is crooked, but this is fine. This is what i would consider a good part here. It'S good enough. Still looks crooked to me one more time with feeling okay there. Now i found it, that's the part, that's the part. This is my part. So what we're gon na do now is we're gon na start two or three inches up here. Let'S do it a half and then we're gon na go and and and make a line to the back of our ear. I bet you'll be able to see more easily on the other side. So you see this so this way you take this part out of the way and then clip it back and then pull that back to the back of your ear. Does that make sense, and so i am going to pull this part back and pull it back. Oopsies, okay, so this is the face framing being part. That is true this. If we were 100 symmetrical, we might be not as interesting. That is true, so we're doing the face framing bangs part now and i just separated made a middle part and then you're going to take you're going to take a comb through here and separate the back part from these parts, because this is the area we're focusing On for the face framing things that i was telling you about, which was for the original community goal on our twitch stream, again, congratulations for unlocking that if you're new feel free to give the stream a follow. Please subscribe if you feel like it. If you want more self-care during the pandemic tips at home or fortnite, you can see that it's. This is not. This is not face framing to me. This is very long and in the way, a little bit of that cousin, it vibe. So this is what we're starting with this right here. I want to make this much more interesting. Yes, i usually do cut my own hair now ever since hold on ever since the pandemic. I started cutting my hair before that. No, i would never cut my hair because i thought it was something that only professionals did, but i found out during the pandemic. It'S not that hard and you can do it at home too. I just did it and then i decided i like it so loose hair is lying around exactly so many people can find me to the wind, which would be extremely dangerous. So what we're going to do now is we're going to make a little triangle on the top of our head. You want to take this middle part and go to about see the arch of your eyebrow, so you want to come to about here so from there. Let'S see if that worked yeah okay, so you see how you're making a little triangle there. I'M gon na clip this part back because i don't need it at the moment with a baby clip one baby clip left from the early 2000s and then we're going to do that to the other side too. So you want to find your eyebrow arch. I love eyebrow arches and then from there go towards that piece. Let'S see if this made it nope that's a little further out than what i wanted. So i'm gon na put this back. So you see how this is not curved kind of triangle. We want to do a little bit better than that. I want to make this part not as curved. Let'S try that how's that okay so see how we have about this right here. We have a triangle right here, so this is going to be for our bangs. Okay, again we're coming down causing tension like i said before, and then you want to decide to length, so you want to be holding this with tension as we mentioned before, and then you want to pick a length for it to be hair. Stylists have told me, oh you want it curved et cetera, but i like it to be a little more edgy and jagged and fun just because i think it goes more with my personality and i just like it, i like it a little more off, so i'm Gon na pick, my shortest to be also for me, what's really important, is to be able to tie back in a ponytail or a bun, because i like to run or exercise or dance. So i want to make sure that it's long enough to be tied back here so let's see here, should be long enough about there. So that would be about my lip because then i could still tie it back in a ponytail or at least a high ponytail, and have it be here so we're gon na go for that again we got ta say a little hope hope it turns out well And just go for it, i cut it below my fingers so with tension and i'm gon na cut, and then i'm going to point cut to make it not totally blunt point cut, is again when you snip in and make little tiny triangles, and that was too Much angles, look at that difference. Have i done my bangs before i have? Although that's really short, i think i messed up oopsies, it's okay, there's no messing up. It will grow back. That is short anyway anyway. We'Re gon na keep going because, whatever whatever okay, so you take this and blending the guide that you cut to the rest of the hair and you're going to angle it down a little bit like this. So it's going to be ideally a little less friggin severe than what i just did: okay, whatever it grows. So now i'm going to take part of this now we're going to comb this hair. So then, we're going to take this and we're going to angle this here towards it and see this line. You want to follow that line down and then we're going to cut i'm so excited to see what the final result is, because i don't know at this point. This is definitely shorter than what i thought it was going to be, but it's all fun and games because it doesn't matter to anybody. Okay, so see how we have this line here. So now i'm gon na cut at that angle and go like and i'm gon na snip snip snip snip snip snip snip snip snip snip this one's a little long, snip. Okay, so see how this is a little more, it's more fun and angley. I want to start streaming a little bit to youtube. What do you all think? Do you all? Would you all watch something on youtube too, so see how this is a longer piece, so i want to cut it a little more, so it can give a little more of that frame. Okay, so i want this like what so you want this angle to be right. Okay, so we're going to do this and then so i have an angle like this. I'M going to take this, see it and see this piece here. Oh, i can't see hair and face obviously lots of uh o's, followed by hair, but you just you just do it just like streaming or anything technical, i think uh-oh and then i do it anyway and then hope it works out. Oh awesome, so you see that this one side now is more fun. I call it more fun. This bowl of water is disgusting. It has so much hair in it, so this is a little shorter than i want. This is a little shorter and it's going to shrink and get even shorter, but that's okay. This is the last part we're just going to do the same thing to the other side, taking this as a top guide, and then we want to blend the hair as we go along. You want to shift it. So it's going to be a diagonal thing here. You see and it's this what we had here. Okay, this needs to be a lot more wet. So now i'm going to take this top part that i already cut, and i also want to make sure that they're. Even so, i see the way that this is going and the reason that you use this as a guide is so that you don't have a massive leap or step in in the bang. Okay, so i think it's gon na be like this okay, so we're gon na cut this part and cut and then cut. Hopefully, that is okay, we're checking our lengths on both sides. I think it seems to be all right - let's finish it off, so now we're going to finish this, and ideally this will be the same length here, so we can check for that, bring it together, and i want this to be about the same. So if i make my little chin strap under my chin, then i can tell that it should be about here. I see it so i'm actually gon na this is my chin. Strap technique not recommended, probably by anybody except for me, and then i'm gon na cut it a little bit lower, just okay right there, okay and then i'm gon na go back in and make sure it's nicely angled to the other hair. So that there's not a massive jump in the in the ankle like that see, this can all go that part. Okay, so we're just going to clean that up a little bit there. Okay! So now you can see that they're a bit even so we're going to take out this the back. So we want to continue this part in the back and let's do it again so now we're going to comb it into the rest of the hair. Okay. So now, just to blend in this cut to the rest of the hair, i'm gon na take this and see where it meets where it meets this part here the rest of the cut so see how there's a little bit of a step between here. I can clean that up, i'm just going to show you so it kind of curves there's a bit of a jump here, so i don't want to mess up the cut, but i can blend this part in a little bit better together, so it tapers a little Better, so that's the last thing that we're going to do is just to clean it up a little bit with the rest of the haircut and again we're not going for perfection here. When you cut your hair yourself, it's you're obviously limited by your pov. So i think i'm gon na go for cutting off this piece right here, just to make it a little more, even so, it blends in a little bit better together here and if i wanted to keep it going a little bit more here. I can same thing here: just gon na make it neater point cut cut in there. Okay, so you're blending it in here now, i'm gon na do the same thing to the other side. So you can see. I guess this is a better angle for you to see, see how it's see, how it's a little. You can tell the layers a bit here and the tapering and again it's not perfect and doesn't have to be, but you can choose to choose to curve it. A little bit more into your whole cut. Okay. Now i'm just going to finish up this other side and i think we're going to be done. Let'S see what we want to correct here: correct, but just taylor, okay, so we have this section this section and then here it starts to get a little bit less. So i kind of want to take this this top section, and i want this to blend in a little more again, not aiming for perfection, but i have ideas of what i want. So i'm going to cut it and then point cut it inside see, see how it fans out and feathers out a bit more there again more a little more fun. Okay, so very exciting. Welcome all the new followers! I am cutting my hair as a community goal. Reward we got a hundred thousand channel points over the last couple months month and a half i'm gon na dry. It. I don't even know if it is well, it looks so cute, it's wet, but anyway it's way more fun. You can see there's layers in the front now and on the side, and my dead ends are in this is so gross, but the dead ends are all over my floor. Instead, i'm just going to dry it really quickly. So you can see the final result. Oh, it feels so much better, so even feel these ends. These ends are a lot healthier than my dead ends before so that feels really nice. There see so there you go now we have our haircut and you can see that it's definitely shorter again. This is god really gross. This is all of the hair that we have let go of, and now it's lighter, it's more fun to flip, and you see, we've got these really fun bangs here that you can just play with and they blend more into the rest of your hair, so yeah And i i like that when they're shorter, because it's just easier and more fun to flip my head feels lighter. Let'S do one of those eyes where you go and just pretend it's slow motion. I can slow it down later, something like that: okay, but yeah. It'S fun and you can see in the back in the back. Ideally i can't really see, but you can see how it's not just one length. It should be tapered down yeah, it should be a tapered, but it's definitely healthier on the ends here than when i started, and that's because when we started we cut off a few of the dead, the dead pieces, this hair, for example, you see the ends - are Very it's healthy. It'S just a lot healthier. These ends here, they're not dead, the dead. When i say dead ends, i mean some of them are literally split, so it splits into two separate hairs, or it's white and splits into this white thing. You don't want that because that's bad for your hair, so yeah, i could probably cut off a little bit more actually, but these ends are already much healthier than what i started with. What do you guys use my entire class? Let'S focus on hairstyle listen. I know this blindingly beautiful hair is going to distract you but pay attention to your scripts. No, and i think it's really fun - and this is how i like to do my hair - it's long layers with face framing bangs, although my bangs are probably a little bit shorter than face framing yeah, see look how short this piece is right. It'S super short, but i can still the most important thing to me, even though it's short here is that i can still tie it back in a ponytail. Yep it'll fit it'll, be like a little bit like this at the top, but it will be able to go back into a ponytail. So that's the most important thing well. Thank you all so much for hanging out with me. This was super fun and now i know i can stream from different parts of our place if you're new, please give us a follow.
