How I Cut My Bangs At Home! Simple Twist Cut!

I have been using a simple twist cut method to cut my bangs at home for decades now. It works great and is easy to do. It gives a gradual arch to the bangs, where it is slightly shorter in the center and angles on each side for super cute fringe bangs! I cut my bangs when my hair is dry. Hi everyone - this is Ann and this video is going to be on how I cut my bangs at home, and I've been using this method for decades. Now it's super easy to do. You can take off as much or as little as you want it's great. If you're growing out your bangs just to keep them trimmed up a bit as they grow out, and it gives a slight angle to your bangs, so it's slightly shorter in the center and then angles down on each side. So you want to section off the area of bangs that you want to cut, and once you have the group of hair, that you want to cut, take a comb and run it through the hair, pull it straight and twist it twice in one direction and then Take a pair of scissors and just cut off straight across. However much you want to remove, take the same group of hair straighten it out, run a comb back through it and twist it twice in the opposite direction, pull it down and cut straight across. However much you want to remove and then take the group of bangs separated from the rest of your hair and just point cut straight up into them. Just so that it's not a harsh line, and it looks a little bit more just natural ends to the hair and that's all there is to it. I hope you enjoyed this video. Please watch my other videos, please subscribe and thank you for watching.

Brenda Reis: Thank you for this Anne-Marie! I watched your video and then went and cut my own bangs for the first time. It was super easy and turned out good! I am confident now to cut my own bangs, as needed. Thank you again!

Linda McCutcheon-Macias: I've been cutting (and coloring) my own hair for decades, but have never seen it done this way. It looks so easy! I was looking for videos to help me do a better job of cutting my bangs today and am so glad I found this. Thank you!

Kim Alston: Oh my gosh! This was the best tutorial ever! I just tried it and am in shock! YOU DID IT! Exactly what I was looking for. I have been to countless salons over the past 3 years trying to get exactly what your tutorial taught me to do for myself! Thank you so much!

Anna: While (and after) you showed this technique I tried to cut my bangs the very first time in this style. In earlier times I cut them straight. Now they are a little bit longer at the sides and shorter in the center. I am so glad to find your video with your explanation. Thank you so much!!!

Denise Marie: Anne, I love your little tips! I am so glad I found your channel. I tried your lip lining technique the other day. I went straight across at the cupid's bow area. It made such a difference! Usually when I line my lips, they can tend to look smaller. If I overline my lips, then I look foolish. Your tip is terrifique!!!! Thank you! Denise

Star Swift: Thanks for this great video! You made it so quick and simple. Many videos are much longer than they need to be !! Thank you for your great advice and the way you presented it. Rock on Sista

daggerinzz: Just tried this method and it worked perfectly! I've always gone to the hairdresser for just a simple curtain bang trim and I can't believe I could've been doing it myself all these years! Honestly, doing it myself with this method made it come out better than when I go to the actual hairdresser

Theresa Johnson: So helpful. I finally broke down today, a year into this pandemic, and decided to risk cutting my own bangs. With your help, it was NOT a disaster. I am very happy!

MaryEllen After 60: Excellent tutorial. I always twist my bangs once, but never did try twisting them in the opposite direction. Your hair always looks perfect, and your bangs never look like they have just been cut. I hate it when the beautician would cut my bangs too short. Do many years ago, I told them leave the bang trimming to me. I will try your technique. Thank you, Anne. Blessings, and joy, my beautiful friend.....MaryEllen

LeadMeToPeace Jeanie: I love this! I'm afraid to have bangs but yours look just beautiful! Love, Jeanie PS I think I will try to trim my hair! xxoo

Donna Rhodes: omg Anne! this is exactly how I do mine and I did this video, too. I had no idea our techniques were the same! that's funny...I didn't copy, I promise, lol..xo donna
