Hey guys So today I'll be showing you guys today how to cut my bangs.. So currently I don't have any front bangs right now., So I'm going to be doing that ( cutting them ). Ever since the end of 2014, I've decided that I was going to grow out my bangs., So I haven't had front bangs in a long time.. I have been cutting my own bangs since ..., like jr. high and high school., So I'm just gunna show you guys how I do it, but this time it's going to be different, because normally, when I cut my bangs, I would have been previously using these tools. Right here, So I previously would have been using a serrated scissor ( thinning scissors ) with a razor., But I found out that NOW I don't want thicker bangs., So the bang I'm going for today is the kind of thin wispy & natural bang.. So I'll insert a picture here to show you kind of what I mean by a ``, wispier'' bang versus my old thicker front. Bang.. The tools we'll be using today are a tangle, teaser (. This is optional, ) a brush or a comb. I mean. And a pair of regular hair cutting scissors.. I find that if you use a razor or the serrated kind of scissor, ( thinning scissors, ) you'll get more of a blunt cut and not very fine.. What happens is the edges or the ends of your hair will be very dry and frayed., So I'm first gunna brush my bangs/hair to make sure I don't have any tangles. And then I'm taking a regular, fine, toothed comb and just brushing the front.. This is the part where you determine where you want your bangs to start.. So I remember the first time I ever cut my bangs. I started back here and that was a terrible mistake, because what ends up happening is your bangs end up becoming very thick. So if we want these natural kind of looking bangs we're going to start ... here., So not that thick.. So here is my hair line ... to here.. That'S where were going to go ( to ) Brush my hair onto the front of my face. And then what you're going to do is you're going to slowly decide how thick you want it using your fingers.. So if you want nice, thin, bangs you're, just going to go like this., Keep brushing it. I know i look scary right now: ... I'm going to tuck my hair into the sides. You're just going to grab whatever is in the front here. Right now. You see this diamond/triangle shape right, here. Um. This is still too thick for me, so I'm just going to keep brushing it out.. So this is more of a shape that I like. I'm just going to make sure that it's in a nice pointed triangle.. This is right in the centre of my head, that's where to tip of the triangle starts.'kay. So now that you've got the triangle right: here., You're, just gunna snip. It Make sure you tuck in the sides, because you don't want to cut those yet And then we're just going to snip snip snip .... So I didn't snip all the way up where I want my bangs to be'cause, it's better to cut it longer than to cut it shorter.., because you can't make it any longer. Once you cut it shorter (, DUH ) From here you're going to slowly start trimming up From here again you can just snip across a little bit at a time. After you're, getting up a little bit closer to your eyebrows or wherever you want it to end. You'Re going to hold the hair and you're going to start snipping upwards, like this., So we have the centre part done.. So from each side you just grab a little bit out for the side bang. You want it to blend in right. Now it's like blunt and then long.. So what you wan na do is start kind of trimming a little bit ( by opening and closing your scissors while going downwards ), You don't want to do ( cut ) too much, because if you do too much, you won't be able to sweep your bangs To the side., If I want bangs again, I can just go like this ~. Now I'm done trimming and kind of fixing it, but because my hair part is naturally right here. ... like right here, my bangs are still not used to the part. So I'm just going to'' train'' it., I'm going to keep combing it to make sure that it will stay towards the middle. Good thing about. This. Is that if you do want your bangs to be thicker, you can just grab some more hair from the sides and just trim it, But I kind of like this look right now, so I'm just gunna. Stick to that and again I really like the fact that you can just just sweep it to the sides and it looks like you don't even have short bangs or that you didn't even cut your bangs at all. You just grab some hair, put it to the front. Snip snip. grab some from the sides snip snip, but like going down like this~ and that's it. So that's the end of this video.
