Many of our clients have asked how to cut bangs into a wig if there are no bangs already, or the bangs are very long. In this video, we will show you exactly how to cut bangs into a wig. When cutting bangs in a wig, or cutting wig length, you want to go slowly and only take a small amount at a time; remember, wig hair will not grow back! Also, you do not need professional hair cutting scissors to cut your wig. Regular scissors or inexpensive hair cutting scissors will do the trick. Watch and follow along if you want to cut bangs into your wig.

Hi, I'm Rochelle and I'm Danielle. We are the mother-daughter team of Godiva's secret wigs. So a lot of people have asked you know: we've shown how to cut a little bit of bangs on a wig. But what do you do if the wig doesn't really have a defined bang to start with how you cut it? Bang into that, so I'm going to show you so for this we're using our Abigail wig. This color is frosted taupe, but it comes in a lot of great colors, so Abigail just want to show she has a lace front, which is amazing, because even if your hair blows back, it's still, you cannot see where the weight starts so Abigail, as you can See comes with a but not a real bang, she kind of a long bang which can be pushed to the side easily, but it's not meant to be worn straight down. So if you want to wear it straight down, I'm going to show you how to cut bangs into it. This is also great to use on like a Candace Kelley, any styles that have a long long thing and it doesn't matter whether it's a lace front, not a torn any time any kind of wig. Yes any kind. So the first thing is, you want to figure out how much you want a thick thing: thin bang. You always want to start thinner because you can add more so I'm going to do just a little bit here and a little bang to start and, like I said I can go more if I want so one of the main things is you don't want to Cut it, so if I think okay, I want them right here, you don't want to cut it right there, because what happens? Is it's going to spring up so always cut much longer than you think, so, I'm going to just grab the hair kind of between the middle of the eyebrow in the middle of the eyebrow. That'S where the hair was I'm going to grab this hair brush. It just make sure it's smooth. Now I'm going to take my scissors and I'm gon na cut starting pretty low, so I'd say like the middle of the eyes and what I'm doing is I'm cutting up at a 45 degree angle. So I'm not cutting straight across because I love you and cutting into 45. So you can see if you still are very long. Some things are gon na spring up more than others, but you don't want to end up with them up here. So, okay, those are definitely too long. So I'm gon na go a little bit shorter. So I'm going to grab the same things and I'm gon na go a little bit shorter, again, 45 degree angle and I'm using these fingers up here to hold the hair right. Where I want it, I'm looking still a little long and kind of if you're, blinking and they're in your eyes, they're, probably too long, but before I keep going. One thing I want to do is use my hot air brush, so on a lot of wigs. If they don't already have a bang, when you cut them, the hair might flip out a little bit or it might not lay perfectly so for that we have our hot air brush and that's going to help round the bangs under. So I want to do that before I give it. The final touches I'll trade you. So this is our hot air brush. We sell these on our website and in our store, and they are the only heat that we recommend on our wigs because they don't get too hot. So no other heat. So I use it like. I will use a round brush and then you keep the brush a living hallway, and you see I'm kinda using my fingers and tuck the hair and nervous around them. So you can see they got a little bit shorter now from using this round brush and for me, though, I think they're a little too wispy. So I want to go a little bit thicker my assistant, so I'm gon na take a little bit more of this hair, so I'm just taking the extra along with what I already cut and that way I can see where I already cut and follow that line. Now again, it's still too long, so I'm gon na go a little shorter. Forgive me if I'm slightly crooked, I'm trying to do it to the side. Here'S I hope your anchor oh. I can turn my boy too bad Wow and if you have it crooked, the people are going to say you did not do that straight nice trick. So now I've added a little bit inward bang. Look at man just changed yeah a completely different. Look more then. Again, there's any little hair sticking out you're going to use your hottie or brush again we'll do it just just the show I'm going to take my brush again fana. So now we have a cut thing, so the only other thing you may want to do. This is a slightly more advanced I'll show you. It is if you want to just feather a little bit of this hair, so it kind of blends in with that. That'S another option also. So what I'm gon na do is I'm just taking a little bit of this hair and I'm holding it really really tight. I'M going to put the scissors right here up right up against the hair and I'm doing the tiniest little cuts a little bit a little just so all that did is it just kind of is going to take it a little bit away. So it blends a little bit more with the bangs I'll do the same on the other side, thanks you're, not to cover. So thank you turn toward me, okay, so so this is now a totally different look. So this is, if you want things and like I said, if you want an even thicker bang, you can definitely add more if you wanted them shorter, keep going, but that's kind of just you always want to go slow and work. Your way up and yeah super cute, and also it doesn't really matter what type of scissor you use. You don't need an expensive, haircutting scissor. These are those do actually will get really dull, because the synthetic wigs are gon na dull up. So you don't need a nice desert, just a regular, haircutting scissors, perfect and then the hot airbrush super imports and, like I said that was the only heat we suggest on our wigs and it's perfect that the bangs are sticking out or say you wanted it rounded. Under a little bit, hot air, which is perfect and that's our wire brush progression, so that is how to cut bangs on a wig that has a longer bang hope that helps you fight buddy

Susan Cashmore: YAHOO,!,! Monday morning !! What a GREAT way to start my week. LOVE LOVE this video! EXACTLY what I needed today! Sooo well done and GREAT information. I just received a Madison with my birthday discount and need to trim bangs! I feel confident now to do this. Your wigs have changed my life for the better!!

deskjockie49: Rochelle makes ALL the wig styles look good! Love how the two of you work together. My hair is beginning to thin on the top and I am starting to look at wigs. I just wish you had more styles in the Silver Mink, since that is most like my natural (gray) color. How do the synthetic wigs look in natural sunlight?

MissKsMom: Thank you for this tutorial. I have t worn my wigs since they were too “heavy” around my face

DannyJane: Thank you so much for this. I just got a new cosplay wig for Halloween and it will be perfect to practice the technique on before I trim my expensive, and very much loved Godiva Secret Wig. I bet you saved me at least $50 from having to take it to a stylist.

EL MARKEY: I love you guys! Why does EVERY wig look good on Rochelle? I still need to make my first purchase, but I have learned so much from your tutorials! Thank you.

Judith Hartwig: Thank you so much for this video. It was so clear that anyone can do it. This really helped me cause I like wispy bangs and was afraid of cutting the bangs myself. God Bless and be safe

Kay Higdon: You never disappoint! I have been using your tips about hanging my wig and smoothing hairs along side my face and not combing so much and my friend asked me if I was wearing a new wig that it looked so natural. It was an old wig and I told her about your site and it was because of the tips you gave. Thank you so much!!!!

Tina Dickerson: Absolutely stunning. I definitely needed this tutorial. Ty both very much.

Lynda Keevil: What you can also do when cutting in a bang is grab the amount of hair that you want to cut and twist it then cut the hair. Always cut below the eyebrows so you can adjust the length as you did in this video.

Starla Ferguson: You two are awesome! And always fresh and teaching us so much. Thank you

Diana: Informative as always. I need bangs with my faux hair. Thank you. ❤ from

Mary Mary: What a happy team! Who's visiting who today? :-) You really deliver on customer service, I appreciate all the educational wig altering techniques that you share with 'the people'. I live in a different country so I can't buy the hot air brush that you recommend. Could you advise me if a normal dryer on cold air would work? Or should I email the website with more specifics?

DeLoris Musick: Are you planning on making this in a large size (Frosted Taupe preferably)! I think you need more large sizes. I can adjust the medium size, but I prefer not too. I love your videos!

margaret small allan: I had a fringe ( bangs ) cut on my Chloe, and the fringe was sticking out in places! My friend was taking her hot air brush out to fix it! As you know, I'm from "wild" Scotland, and our hot air brushes are lethal due to their heat, so it was a massive NO from me! Later I thought that I'd try and wet it in the bangs area, while I had it on my head, so I was wise to the fact that I could not comb ot brush it, especially when wet, and allowed it to dry naturally which has helped a lot, and it is looking a lot better! The back seems to like sticking out a little, from my scrawny old wizened neck, so I'll try the same treatment there as well! Now, if I had not watched your videos, I'd have let my friend use the" too" hot hair brush, and brushed it when wet. with my wig brush, which would have ruined the entire wig! Chloe is a lovely wig, and feels so natural, due the Lace Front, Mono filament and Hand Tied style. My head is never itchy when wearing it, and I will send photos to you, when my gtand-daughter can visit again , ( LOck up rules operational again ) and she does all the clever work of putting the photos on my computer and sends them to you! To all my lovely friends from the USA, stay safe, stay well and I love you all! xoxoxo ........old Tich.

Patrick Howse: Great video - now I feel more confident trimming my wigs now! Thanks!

margaret small allan: I love these videos showing us how to do different things with our wigs! I have Freedom and Cristi, and need fringes ( bangs ) cut in them, as I realise that I need to have my forehead covered, ........I am still thinking of buying another wig style soon, in a light colour, to make a change from the Silverstone that I already have and to have 7 in my wig wardrobe!! Your service is fantastic, with pre- wig purchase, and after care too! The delivery to me in Scotland is 3 - 4 days at the most, which exceeds all deliveries here!! Thankyou so much, for making an old wild Scottish wifey, very happy with new zest for life! I love you all!..................................................old Tich.xx

DeLoris Musick: Thank you so very much! This helps me with my Rochelle wig!

Laurie Anne: That wig looks gorgeous on you, Rochelle!

C F: I’m very fortunate to have a niece who does my hair. Over the years my hair has gotten thinner and thinner. I hate my hair. Nothing to do with my niece’s skill......she’s very good at what she does. But, my hair doesn’t give her much to work with. It’s frustrating for both of us. This demo was very helpful to teach us how to cut bangs. Mine are just about like Rochelle’s bangs.....wispy. My niece felt very apprehensive about buying wigs online, though. It’s not like I can wait until it grows out to fix it if it’s not quite what I wanted. Please HELP!!!! Can I call you to see what my options are? I can also email you a picture of my hair.

Candy Chand: We bang-wearing girls appreciate this one. Thanks!

Vivian Polner: Great video! I have this wig and love it!

Judy Anne: THANK YOU soooooo much for this video!!! I always have to have bangs

Norma Fruin: Great video gals! Terrific information and love the wig both ways

Rene Martin: Can you use the heated brush on any type of fiber? Thanks for the lesson...I need bangs, Good job!

Andrea Mace: Thank you so much. Very informative.

Princess Skate: GodivasSecretWigs-I just love you ladies! Rochelle, you are the picture of a classy woman who isn't afraid to show her femeninity and be sexy!

lmart164: Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. You guys are so helpful. Hugs.

Debbie Hall: Super helpful! Thank you

Diana Corsetti: Super helpful. I’m going to try this on a Jamison. Thank you.

Marie S: Thank you, very helpful.

Alterjunkie: Hello beauties, thanks for the tutorial , that turned out fantastic momma looks Fab :-) Great job

Julie Mann: Very helpful. Thank you.

Lisette Guerard: Great tips but what if you don't have someone to cut the bangs for you and you are alone to do it on yourself. Its a lot more complicated.

Vicky White: Thank you, wonderful video.

Herlinde Clark: Thank you, this was great.

Kate Megill: Well, this is PERFECT! I just bought Abigail and didn't like it on me without some sort of bang. I was super nervous about making bangs where none existed and I came here on the OFF CHANCE you had a video specifically for Abigail... and VOILA! I'll be cutting this today and will let you know how it went!

Marla Robinson: Has Abigail been thinned out or is that what it looks like out of the box.

Becki Ireland: Best wig look on Rachel❣️

Rayane Benz: Rachel you look 20 years old really beautiful IS the best wig on you♥️

Melissa Lynn: I dont ever wear bangs.. so i would have loved this wig as is besides i probably couldn't stop chopping once i had scissors lol. You're both beautiful.

Livia Lautenschlager: Looks great!

Kathy Herbert: Rochelle and Danielle, a question: Would this brush take the place of steamer for synthetic fibers? (It would be nice to have just one implement to work on bangs/curls etc.)

ProudTexasLady: Can the hot air brush be used on regular synthetic wigs or only the heat defiant wigs?

Lisa Pila: Hi ,how do I have a consultation with a specialist in my area? I'm in Manteca/Lathrop/ripon area. Can I call someone in my area for a consult?

Alicia Grayson Stanley: Adorable mom and daughter!!!!!

Camille Massey: Great job!

Patti Burt: THAT WAS GREAT AND LOVE THAT WIG

Helga Ueberschär: Thank you, ladies!

bjerles: I love that Abigail wig!

Schell Annette: Great videos! Will I be able to order from South Africa?

Melissa Lynn: Rachel you always look so pretty.

L M: What makes the hot air brush allowable? Why is that heat the only heat to use? If it is not much heat, there are other methods of flowing low heat and soft indirect air flow on the wigs. I dont see why there cannot be other inventive ways to mimic the air flow and temp of the brush.

Rayane Benz: Hi how are you like the two wigs i Dream to have one you are the best

Rhoda Prayer: great job...

JMK: Great video

Narrative Marketing: Abigail looks even better with bangs

Angela Dyer: Are your wigs human hair?

Melissa Lynn: Love the long bang

Piper56: The hot air brush is not available on the website unless I order it in the shampoo kit which is also unavailable, I did add my email to be notified when back in stock. My bangs flipped out after trimming and look awkward, warm water doesn’t help. Do you offer the hot air brush on its own?

Judy Anne: How do I get your hot air brush?

Svetlana Veretennikova: А сверху?
