Cutting My Own Hair (Long Layers + Side Bangs)

Hi guys welcome to my channel. My name is okay, so i'm bored, this video is going to be quite different than the videos i usually film. This is going to be me. Cutting my hair, i'm going to be trimming, my hair, okay, i'm not cutting it short. I'M just gon na be cutting a bit off and i'm gon na add some layers. I'M gon na trim my bangs, because these are getting long. So basically, the reason why i'm cutting my hair is because i'm bored i'm bored of having same length hair as you can see. My hair is very long. It'S up to my belly button. It'S pretty much the same length i mean i love it. I love the length i just want to switch it up a bit. I want to trim these bad boys. I don't know i'm just bored. I wanted to make this a video. I just wanted to chill and cut my hair with you guys. I never go to salons because i do not trust salons. Everyone has their own opinion. I have made my own opinion, based on the many times that i have left the salon crying. I do not trust salons. I always ask for a trim. I end up with shoulder length hair ask for brown highlights. I end up with blonde hair crying on the jeep home. Then i ended up buying box dye and dyed my hair. The same day. I'Ve had a lot of bad experiences with salons. So i just don't trust anyone with my hair i'd rather mess up my own hair than pay, someone 1000 pesos to mess it up, and i wanted to show you guys. I think it would be fun like we're. Just gon na sit here and watch me mess up my hair honestly. I just want to cut my hair. Let'S start so this is the before yeah. This is the length of my hair. It'S pretty much the same length all throughout. I don't know what i'm doing. I'M just gon na wing it, so i watch a bunch of youtube videos for the bangs, just brushing my hair. It'S all the same length, and these are my bangs. Actually, this might be a bit hard because i just got the new piercing. I got my helix pierced and my third globe here. I got my third load pierced here as well. Okay, so i have my mirror here. I have hair ties. I have a hair clip. These are the scissors that i'm going to be using they're actual hairdresser scissors. I don't know where my mom got it and i have this as well, so i'm going to start off with sectioning my hair, i'm just going to go down where my ear is about here that same on the other side. So i think this is right. Why my hair, like that, honestly, i have no method, i'm just gon na wing it. This is the part that frames the face, so i'm just gon na cut downwards. So here we go so this was the first section i'm going to take a second section now about an inch. I'M gon na pull this off. So i'm pulling this up and i'm going to cut i'm gon na cut about this much i'm just cutting it like that. I don't know what i'm doing. This is the result. I'Ll fix it later. So this is the before this is the after. So i've not got about that much same thing, pull up and cut about this much as well, just trim upwards, so there this is the first layer um. I forgot to show you the back, and this is the back of my hair. Okay. So after that i'll take another section, this is the section that we just cut and i'm gon na brush this upward. So this is the section that we just cut. I'M gon na cut an inch lower than that section. I'M going to cut around here and just blend that, oh, my goodness, it's much shorter. So this is what it looks like now. I am going to blend this out later. So don't worry so i'll. Just do the same on this side. As you can see, it's here, i'm gon na cut an inch lower i'll clean this up later, but for now i'm just doing the trim. So that's that um, so i'm gon na separate my hair into two, and this is the last layer. So this is the last layer i'm gon na do the same thing to the last layer, i'm gon na just take half of this. My hair already feels much healthier. As you can see. That'S where the guide is, i'm gon na cut an inch lower as well. This is the guide right here, so i'm gon na cut around two inches lower about this much okay. Oh my gosh! I'M scared. I think i got it too short moment of truth. I mean it's not that short! Honestly! It'S not that different! So i'm not mad about it, it's definitely shorter, but it's not that obvious and this side feels so healthy. Already. It'S like super smooth at the ends, i'll fix the layers more in a bit, but the side is done for now. I'M gon na do the other side. Now i'm gon na do the same thing brush it all out. This is such a workout, oh my gosh. So this is where the guide is. I'M gon na cut around here about an inch lower or two inches so that i'm just gon na whisk it. Oh my gosh that sounded wrong. Why am i scared? This is too short moment of truth. Are they even okay? So i guess they're pretty even definitely shorter. This is what my hair looks like. I'M gon na have to blend it a bit. It feels so healthy, so i'm just gon na blend it. By going down on this side now, i'm just going to cut some random pieces so that i have a little more volume: i'm not a professional okay, so don't get mad at me if my techniques are wrong. Okay, i'm kind of loving this. If i want shorter pieces here, i'm gon na cut the ones that frame my face here. I'M just grabbing random pieces. Okay, i think this side is okay. I'M gon na do the same here, adding texture to my hair. I think i'm satisfied with this okay, so i'm kind of happy with this haircut, i'm gon na start with my bangs. Now my hair feels so healthy, so it should be a triangle section. So this is the section i'm going to be working on. It'S kind of triangular, and this is how it would frame my face - we're gon na start by combing the bangs down going down the middle like that, so now that it's parted in the middle, the first section will be a small triangle in the front like this. This is gon na, be my first section. This is the rest of the banks here and cut it to my nose line just cut straight across. So that's my first section, i'm gon na take my second section now. This is my second section. I'M gon na cut this to my lip line here straight across. Oh my gosh. So this is what it looks like. This is the last section i'm just gon na cut it to my chin here. So it already looks nice, so i'm just gon na blend this. I think this is fine. I don't know what i'm doing. So. That'S how i do my bangs okay. So that's that this is how the bangs came out. It'S so cute. I love having side tanks because i feel like it frames my face. That'S why i always do side bangs. This is how much hair i cut off. It'S a lot, i'm so glad this is off my head now. So this is what my hair looks like now. It'S still quite long, i didn't really lose much length, as you can see, there's more volume up here and it's thinner down here, and i really like that and i have my side bangs as well. I really like how my hair turned out. I love having layers. This is how it looks like when it's still quite straight i'll, show you how it looks like when it's wavy again, i'm sorry my mirror is dirty. It got so dusty. I love my new hair and i love my side.
