Cutting Curtain Bangs *Not The Dumbest Thing I'Ve Ever Done*

Hello Welcome or welcome back to my channel. My name is Emily and today we're going to be doing something super dumb or super cool today, which is cutting my own hair. I have a pair of scissors, I have a scrunchie and I have a comb and we're going to be giving myself curtain bangs today. This is what my hair looks like. Currently, I just have a part down the center and I have a bit of layering and my hair has always been like this. The last time I had bangs I was probably in middle school. I had the side bangs, it was 2012 and then before that was probably when I was a kid like an asian bowl cut. So I have never wanted bangs, never attempted bangs, never cut my hair and we're just gon na get started, and I hope I don't cry Okay, so First thing, I'm gon na do is go ahead and part. My hair and that's gon na be the part where my bangs are gon na, be This is going to be what I'm going to be working with for now. This is going to be what I'm cutting I'm just going to go ahead and tie the rest of my hair back, so it isn't in the way Alrighty, So we're gon na grab a small portion of my hair from the center just about two pieces. The tutorial I'm watching she says cut it at the end of my nose, but I'm scared I'm gon na mess up, so I'm gon na cut it a little bit longer than that. I'M just gon na cut it above my lips Ooookay. So I'm really doing this. I have my hair in my hand, and I cut off most of the dyed part, which I'm pretty glad because I've been wanting my hair to be full black again. So, Okay, first snip, it seems like I'm on the right track. But who knows? And now I'm going to grab another portion of my hair Kind of the same as the one before I don't know. If this is enough, which is the thing because she doesn't specify exactly how much I'm supposed to be pulling out. Okay, the next one I'm going to cut it where my chin is Okay and then I'm supposed to cut it upwards, so it isn't as straight. I realized just now that I forgot to do that with the shortest pieces. The first cut I just did so I'm going to try to do that. I kind of lost all those hairs, though I hope everyone knows that this is not a tutorial, because I have no idea what I'm doing. I was never one of those kids who just took a pair scissors and experimented with their hair. I was never like that Just because I never trusted myself and I still don't trust myself, and here I am, I think the hard part is that I literally cannot see what I'm doing because everything's in my face. So the end of the last cut is here and I'm just going to cut a diagonal, I'm like sweating - oh my god, Okay, I'm gon na put down the scissors for now and pick them up. If I think I really need them, but we're just gon na drop these and then now I'm gon na go ahead and try to style my hair. I want them to sweep on the side of my face Right now, they're pretty stiff. I just like washed my hair, and it's just straight and with bangs you have to style them Honestly, I'm looking at them, and I don't think they look that bad. I think the great thing about these bangs is that I can easily hide them on the side. Instead of like having them on my face, I have my curler right here. I just plugged it in and I'm gon na go ahead and let it heat up. I didn't cut off a lot of my hair. The rest of my hair remains untouched. So it's not that big of a difference so far, but I'm hoping when I curl it it'll look cuter, Okay. So this is the final results and honestly, I think it looks not bad for the first time doing this by myself. It actually looks quite different from what my hair looked like before when I curled it There's just a lot more volume here and I get more waves and I think it looks pretty cute and kinda trendy.
