Cutting My Own Bangs By Myself (I Have No Idea How To Cut Hair...) | Quarantine Haircut

Well, hey there! So today, I'm about to cut my own bangs or you can call them fringes if you're someone who lost to America in 1775. My inspiration for doing this is literally just because I woke up one day and I saw a Brad mondo video, where he reacted to people cutting themselves, bangs, sometimes badly. So if Fred mondo doesn't react to this video, then it will all have been for nothing but seriously, though I've always thought about having bangs and in fact I used to as a child, but I grew it out in elementary school and nowadays I kept thinking my Face was too asymmetrical and just generally ugly, so I didn't think I could pull it off. Here'S what I look like as a youngin and my mom had control over my hair, and he was on to how I did this. So I spent the entire day watching how-to videos and I was incredibly nervous um, I'm not sure if you can tell or not here I am just sectioning out the top part thingy. I redid just this part like four times, and that reminds me of this entire thing took me two hours so yeah, I'm sorry for all the jump cuts, but I did my best to keep it short and sweet. I was just thinking like we're in quarantine. It'S not like I'm about to see anyone important for the next couple of months and if it turns out bad that I still have a good YouTube video. I went super carefully. I did smaller in smaller sections each time and I'm not gon na lie. I kept swinging back and forth between so many emotions. I kept thinking. Oh no. This is a horrible mistake and then thinking, oh, I am an anime now and then I kept thinking. Oh damn, I'm cute as and then going back to. Oh no. Why did I do this? I'M sorry for my bad lighting by the way, we're moving in two weeks, and I already packed up my good lighting because, frankly, I didn't expect to be making a video of me cutting myself bangs at midnight. I was terrified of accidentally cutting my bangs, too short, because it seemed that the number one mistake all the other fail videos had. So by the time I got up to my eyes, I was literally cutting by the millimeters and don't worry eventually. I grabbed a bigger section of bangs because I realized my bags we're looking so thin. It'S like, I just accidentally chopped them off in a cooking accident or something as I went through the process, I wanted to go slow, so I could reconsider how much I actually liked it and if I wanted to stop them, it'd be easier to grow it out. If I didn't cut them all the way, obviously, but as you can see, I was kind of feeling myself. I was feeling pretty cute about it, but I'm sure you will give me your super kind, honest opinions in the comments, if you think this is a good style for me or not. It'S been a few days since I cut my bangs too, when I started recording this voice over. So I figured I'd. Give you some of my thoughts. I won't talk about how it looks because you can judge for yourself at the end, but on the very next day after I cut my bangs, I realized. Maybe I'm not cut out for this. No pun intended bangs. Just absolutely will not look good unless you style them and the one of the reasons I forgot why I kept my hair just perfectly straight and simple, and no layers was because it was so easy to maintain it. I woke up. Looking the same, I went to sleep looking the same, I never had to worry about it because my hair always stayed put but bangs kind of have a mind of their own and especially with my greasy ass forehead. The hair is like the cup together and it just doesn't look soft. You know my first thoughts as you just saw like 30 seconds ago I was feeling like I had an innocent like I don't know 70s vibe going on and I definitely don't regret it. You'Ll see at the end, I was really vibe end, but I still haven't made up my mind yet if I should continue to trim them or just let them grow out and forget about this and maybe trim some face frame layers instead. One, as I mentioned, you have to style them everyday for them to even look decent to. I really loved okay, it looked, but I almost think I look too innocent and pure I mean I have no idea what kind of vibes I want to go for, but if you couldn't tell I've, always looked super straightedge and so well. The bangs are really cute. I can only imagine the image that other people would have of me in their head and I hate to say that, but I'm not gon na lie. I had no idea how to do the thing where hairdressers just slide the scissors down the hair like as I'm doing here, but I think I got the hang of it eventually. Honestly, I got a little lazy and I didn't want to finish cutting um we're face-framing layers, but I think it was for the best, as I probably would have overdone it um like. Actually what the am I trying to do here. I took my hair down yet again to reconsider it and see how he was going. If you look at my eyes I in a bit, I think you can see the mix of emotions I was going through in the beginning. I was pretty confident, but when I took my hair down I was thinking. Oh no. I either look way older or way younger and either way it's not what I'm trying to go for it. But as you see, I finally realized it was too thin, but I recommend going thinner than you think anyways, because I just easily outlined a bigger section around the area. I took it first and then cut it to the same length. So no mistakes, no mishaps, okay! So more of my thoughts, I think I should grow them out just like 1/2, an inch more. I didn't want to have all those types of bangs where it's all up in your eyes, but like it. If it looks cute I'll, go for it by this point. So I was pretty confused on how I was feeling about it, but basically this is the finished product question mark. This is how they look the next day after I woke up and honestly this was the last time it looked decent on first waking up, but this is the first time I styled them and before you say anything I know it looks at even and I swear It'S not actually that uneven, and this is the period I saw other youtubers saying that I have to train my bangs, because my hair is so used to being where I used to part it. So all of those hairs that were near where my part used to be are just kind of like sticking up like they want to be poufier than the rest. I was really liking it for the next couple days after I did it, but I just I'm so conflicted, maybe if I went to an actual hairdresser and actually got a decent cut, this may not seem like a lot of hair to some people, but considering I Only cut off bangs I was pretty freaked out seeing much hair. I could that's like seven years worth of growth gone in two seconds.
