Cutting My Bangs & Dyeing My Hair At Home | How To Cut Korean Side Bangs/Curtain Bangs

Hi everybody and welcome back to my channel or if you're new, hey my name is stella and today i'm going to be cutting and coloring my own hair i've been doing my own hair for quite a while. Now i don't think i've been to a salon for like six years, mostly because i have social anxiety and hate small talk. I don't dye my hair a lot anymore when i was a teen. I used to diet every single month example, a example b, example c, and to answer your question: yes, i was an emo kid and yes, it indeed was just a phase. I won't be doing anything drastic today. My bangs have really grown out, so we'll be just doing a little touch-up on them and then i will be coloring my hair in this extremely average brown color from l'oreal parry. It'S in the shade, 600 dark blonde. So without further ado, i think we should just start - and i'm gon na go, find some clothes that i don't mind ruining for this. Okay, we're back, i'm not nude by the way i'm gon na start by coloring, my hair. I have my mirror over there. That'S why i'm always looking that way? Let'S just get started, should i read the instructions? I don't really know how everything works right. This thing put this thing in that thing, so, let's start by taking my hair down, this desperately needs the coloring. So i'm just gon na start. I don't really have a plan, i'm just doing something. This is a look start on the other side. I usually just start by filling in my roots and then just going from there. Now that i've filled all my roots, i'm just going to wait a little bit to let it sink a little bit into my roots. Before i color the rest of my hair, i'm just going to wait like 10 minutes finding the cherries is the best okay. Now it's been 15 minutes and i'm just gon na continue dyeing the rest of my hair. How much is in this? So now i'm just gon na wait for another 10 minutes and then i'm gon na go wash this out. So i'm back from the shower now and it's time for the big reveal it came out exactly as i expected. I'M just gon na go blow dry and then i'll be right back. Okay, i'm back! It'S actually like two hours later, because i forgot. I had an open house today, i'm actually apartment hunting, so i will post a video on that later this year. If i ever find an apartment that i want to live in, and i also change shirts because it is ridiculously hot in here. This is how my hair looks just right out of the shower and i just blow-dried it a little bit so yeah. I think i'm just going to start cutting it. So i really like the style of the korean side, bangs kind of a curtain bang, but not as thick, so the way that i do this is, i just part, my hair in a triangle like this, just depending on how chunky i want my bangs yeah. This looks okay, so i just start by pulling my bangs down, so i start by holding it like this and then i just cut it right in the middle of my chin, then i part them again into a smaller triangle like that. Maybe - and i cut this section at the end of my nose so around here now - that i've cut the small triangle at my nose. I part it again into the bigger triangle and just make that one slightly smaller, and then i cut this section at the end of my lower lip like that. Next, i take one section and comb it over to the opposite side and you can see how it goes from the shortest to the longest, and i just fine tune that a little bit so by holding it to the opposite side and just cutting along. And you can see it gives me this really feathery look and then i do the same on the other sides. Comb it to the opposite. Sides hold it like that and cut along the line. Pretty happy with that. So the next thing i do is comb everything behind my ears and then just take a little section from here and cut that downwards here and then i do the same. On the other side, take a little section find how long my fringe is and just cut it right along there pretty happy with how this turned out. So i don't think i'm gon na do anything else to it all right, so i think i'll just go and clean this hair up and then i'm gon na style it and show you the end result all right. So here's the end result. I really like this. I really needed this as well.
