BestKateScenario: ~yep. that's EXACTLY how you do it. I've been cutting my own hair for years. I have my husband cut the longest layer in the back straight across (even he can manage a straight line) and I do the rest! I'm complimented on my hair all the time, feels good! :)

When you made your second cut on your bangs I thought you were going to cut them short and angled...that would have been a cute look for you, too! Great job all round!
