Hi guys um, oh god, i was so weird hi guys and welcome to the first video of 2021 um. Today i want to do another hair tutorial for you. I was inspired by a video i found online for a 1940s hairstyle, so i thought i will try it out and that's the result. So if you want to know how i did this hairstyle just stay tuned and yeah, let's go so, as you can see, i slept in sponge rollers last night. I didn't really do a certain or specific pattern. Just simply because i didn't know the pattern she used, but i just tried to do my best in thinking of how she might have set her hair. I rolled mostly of my hair under here and here um in the back and on the sides um and in front. I also rolled it under as you can see, but only on these sides. I rolled them away from my head. So yeah, that's basically what i did and, of course i use some setting lotion. I use coconut oil. You should never do this with your dry hair. I think i will start with the back section, so i usually use this simple comp um. But what i actually want to try out is a brush like this, because i've seen a lot of vintage girls brush out their hair with similar brushes, but i'm a bit afraid that my hair will just poof up or that the curls will go out. So i might do this like on one curl, just to see what it would look like. I think that's fine yeah! No, it's actually not too bad with this brush, i feel like so, let's get the other curls out. The tricky part is the front which will be some kind of curl bumper bangs, but otherwise i think this hairstyle is not too difficult to achieve and i still find it the most trickiest part to um let the curls stay for the day, like mostly when i Go out, especially in the cold they get ruined like immediately, which is so annoying but um. I will mostly be at home today, so i hope they would at least okay. So for now i will probably go to the bathroom and just quickly brush through my hair. In the back - and it won't be anything very special - i will just rush through them and arrange them, but i think i will do this in the bathroom, because it is much easier for me because there i have two marios and then i can also look at The back and then i'll show you the results all right, so i brushed it out as good as i could. I couldn't brush too much through them because, as i said, the curls wouldn't hold up so yeah, that's kind of what i did alright. So four sides. I'M using two combs here comes no matter how and we will clip the sides away just like that. So that's how you want it to look so now, i'm taking a comb and then it looks like this. We will just go with this for now and then work on that a bit more later. I think when i did the front part so now i will just do the same here and then i'm just going with my finger through the curls. I think that's the best solution, so that's my hair for now and now i'll work on the front part and the sun came out. I actually did not see the sun for a few weeks and it feels so good to finally get a bit of vitamin d. You know okay, so now i look like this and now we will kind of see how i organize that i'm thinking about doing a little twist here just like that to start i'm not sure yeah, we will go with twist just to give it a bit more Volume here and to have a kind starting point, and then i'm doing the same here now, i'm basically just arranging the front like i wanted to be the sun shining, there's no pine in your hat, lined with a silver lining and you're happy when you're singing a Happy song, you hear the birds singing and bells ringing and you find what a joy they bring and call you're happy when you're singing a happy song. So as you as you probably saw, i was coming through it and then i was taking the front and putting it back and i feel like that is what we want now, i'm taking bobby pins and pinning this to my head and now i am pinning the Curls onto my head as well, because i'm afraid they won't stay also long bobby pins are very good for this kind of work um if you're securing a certain hairstyle, they're, very practical, rearranging the comms as well. If you want to spice it up, you can use hair flowers um, for example like here and here or just on one side um. I think i will probably just leave it this way, but that's definitely an option to spice it up a bit. Thank you. So much for watching - and i hope i will see you in the next video bye - you

Sophie: This style looks so pretty on you! Can't wait to try it once I get some rollers

JMarie Naturally: Turned out beautifully! You definitely made it look classic and vintage

Maca9046: Thank you so much for making these videos with natural hair - it's SO helpful to see how you work with your natural hair to achieve these looks. I'm a very curly girl myself...3B I guess it's called...and I want to avoid using the blowdryer to straighten my hair just to then turn around and curl it. Anyhow thank you again :) Love your videos!

Portella: I would love to try this, it looks soooo beautiful on you!!

Kazberjazz: Lovely style here in the UK it is a constant battle to keep curls nice in the humid weather… I’m afraid sometimes I have to resort to hairnets, berets and snoods even when I’ve got a fresh set which is very very annoying, so I feel your pain

Desert Rat: I recently found you on IG, and I’m obsessed!!

Khensani Mohlatlole: So pretty! If there’s isn’t wet weather, how long do your curls hold?

Lele Loves: I must try this! You look so lovely x

Starnisha Perkins: Thank you for making these videos! You are literally the only black girl doing these styles! Ive always wanted to try them but never saw a blk girl do it, thank u so much!

Fransis Gabrielle: You are such a lovely lady, I so admire you!

Poppy: Hello Emilia, I have similar hair to your and I'm scared my hair will frizz if I spray them. Especially if I need to straighten first. Any suggestions? And I love coconut oil for my hair.

Teresa Yaa: Super cool endlich auch mal was für meine Haare zu finden! Sind deine Haare relaxed oder sehen die nur durch die Rolls so shiny aus? Danke fürs Video❤️

Dacara Marie: What kind of setting lotion do you use?

Edith Ayres: You are otherworldly
