Hi guys so, let's find out what kind of Bob shape fits your face. So I'm gon na mention face shapes today, because people are used to that. But I also will present more information on that subject, because I think that there's some much more important things that your face shape. If you and your friend, for example, have same face shape. It doesn't mean that same kind of Bob will suit you, because only to that degree it depends on your face shape and to that degree it depends on your body type on your facial structure and overall proportions in your whole body and even your lifestyle, and you Find I think that idea that you have to correct your face shape, so it would be oval. I think this idea by itself is super crazy, as if somebody would wake up in the morning and say that the Sun is not trendy enough. So we all have to shut the doors and shut the windows and then come out to see the moon, because moon is in the trend now correcting your face, shape to become oval, correcting your height to become more moderate in size and so on, and so on. So I think that the basic of this idea is psycho. I'M gon na present you information and slightly different way, but I'm still gon na talk about the face shapes because people kind of used to that subject. That'S familiar to them, so definition of Bob Bob is a verb, basically cutting off short. Now. First of all, bob haircut is just an element of beauty. Let'S say a woman cuts a bob, but she has very bad quality of hair. She doesn't take care of her skin. She doesn't do her makeup correctly. She dress is not for her vibe, but she feels uncomfortable and clothes she wears so that Bob probably won't change a lot in her appearance, because bob is just one little element in the role of so many elements of somebody's look. But in some cases bob can really make wonders, and I know people who, for the whole life they were scared to cut off even one inch of their long hair, but as far as they went to bob their life completely changed. Their facial features are totally changed. I think bob itself is a universal haircut. I think that it fits everyone. The difference here is the color, the banks, I'm not gon na talk about the banks. You can check this video, I'm gon na leave the link down and the right shape of the ball. Now those three things matter the most and that can change a lot. What kind of blobs exist? For example, there can be straight Bob, it can start very high. It can be lower, lower, lower any length you want Ching length. Then we have lower lower lower straight Bob, probably up to here, because then we have love long bob, that's straight bob. They also called blunt above meaning straight cut without layers without lightining the ends. Without any difference in length, then we have a line bob meaning the letter, A meaning. The front pieces are slightly longer here and they create kind of those triangles here right by the face, and then it goes up a little bit on the back. It'S slightly shorter. Now that can be layered Bob's. Sometimes they are Larry only on the back, so it would be like more volume at the back and then more sleek at the front, sometimes the later the whole bob. Sometimes they do layers by the face, as well as if it's like longer french and then it goes thinner, thinner to the ends which was more popular. I think in the 90s, not as popular now now blonde bob is still the most trendy thing. Then it could be asymmetrical, bob meaning at the back, it's shorter. It goes longer here, but one piece is always longer than another, approximately one inch longer so for that kind of bob, you make side parting on the opposite side of this more elongated hair. That creates an illusion that you made that side parting and you kind of put a lot of hair here, it's heavier it's longer. It looks really effective with curls as well. Those curls can be very, very big and kind of full down in one part of your eye. It looks very sophisticated some people they do a lot of layering, especially here by the face when they do that Ilyn gate, apiece kind of tend to curl inwards, like that because of the gravitation, so hair tends to go around our our jawline and then kind of Curl to the neck for some women, I think that looks beautiful, but the thicker the ends are the more healthy and the bigger the hair looks. Of course, it depends on also on the texture of your hair. If you have afro hair, for example, or if you have very curly hair or wavy hair - or you have straight, but sick hair will have straight but thin hair. We also rely on that information. What kind of hair you have and, of course we rely on the body types if you knew I have the whole series of the body type, so you can check from the body types tests and so on. I'M gon na leave a link down below. We have 13 body types. Each body type has her own bone structure, also face structure and facial bone structure, because two different body types with rectangular face. She will wear same Bob differently completely differently. This is why I think it's very important to know about Bob. I have this video here for the body types. You can also check that there we talked about those 13 types and what kind of hair they look best in, like what kind of shape of their hair. I will now tell you what different types of bob make to your face, but I will mean both curly hair and straight hair, where the bob ends. This is where it will increase the width, the visual width. It stops here than the width of your cheekbones. Your cheekbones will be wider. Now, let's talk about the face shapes, so if you have a blond face, long or slim face, doesn't matter how angular it is or how soft it is, how soft cheeks you have. If it's still elongated, then the only thing you don't want to do is increase the volume on top back comb your hair and make it very sleek by your face. That'S the only thing if you do that, you will just make your face even longer an even thinner, much more long than it basically is. But I know if you have curly hair, you probably have some volume on top, that's not a problem as soon as your don't make it sleep here, but I don't think you will keep that hair curl in here. You'Ll make it straight. When we talk about curly or wavy hair, that's great - they already have that volume that we need any length like from here even from the temple area. Then, here here here here would be good. The other thing that is different vibe. If we talk about that length, because I do believe that every hair style, it also has a lot to do with your vibe, with your personal preference, with the way how you feel and the way, the way how you tend to. If we only talk about shapes, you can make you lengths here here here up to here. We can do chin length, that's gon na widen it here on the sides. That'S what you want. You can make it longer and don't worry. It won't no engage her face too much. It will be amazing, even if you go for elongated bob, even if you go for asymmetrical bob again, it depends on your style and your overall style on your body. Type you've had diamond face, shape, thinner the chin wider. Here in the cheekbone, the cheekbones are really prominent on the sides. So, basically anything from here under your cheekbone will be great. They will fold down on your cheekbone, but I do think that when you make it behind your ears, that will also look amazing. What can exaggerate them? Maybe if you cut it right here, the rest will depend again on your body type on your vibe on your personal preference and so on any length. Actually, you will look amazing with that length here. You have very thin chin. We can open this whole area. One thing here is: if you have very long chin and it's much longer proportionately to that part and to middle part, let's say here: you just have it longer that mouth area is longer in this case chin length, maybe even one centimeter below and longer, and of Course, middle middle neck as well. It fits everyone. The only thing that will accentuate. That is when you cut it somewhere here at that area, because the I will be dragged down in there. But if you got it slightly longer, then it will kind of equalize it. It will mix it up a little bit for the ends of your hair with the end of your chain and what kind of we'll mix all together and, of course, elongate it asymmetrical again. It will be great triangle face normally very slim. This part is not prominent at all and they have very thin bottom part here and wider forehead area on this face. Any short hair will look okay because they have such a thin part here, very thin, silhouette very delicate bones, small bones, very narrow bones. So, in this case, any length from here here by the chin or straight and longer or again asymmetrical elongated round faces they normally have say with AZ height also their chin is pretty soft. It'S not point because if we have pointed chin, it's gon na be hard face, so in this case, once they have a little bit volume on top, they are good with. Basically, any length, except for maybe here in the middle of the face is just - will make that illusion that the bottom part here of the face kind of falls out. It will be less proportionate, but again we're only talking now about the hair that is lying by your face that you dress by your face, because if you pull it out from your face, it doesn't matter as much. That round face will look amazing with pulled back hair. That'S what I'm trying to say round face is very beautiful by itself, if only we are not creating an opposite illusion. If we hide that part of the face with hair, then we open the second part of the face, so that bottom, half chief and the chin will look bigger than they actually are. The only thing here would be that from the distance, especially if they don't have the volume on top, if they have a flat top and actually many women with round face, they have a very flat head, especially if it's a blonde cut. It will create that very wide line here and wide line here and basically it will widen the whole head. So in this case they should not make volume on the sides. Maybe just keep it flat, but I think the best thing for them would be slightly elongated, because when it's elongated it's gon na have that triangle which will be thinned down and those diagonal lines. They play the role of a facelift ER for anyone. This is why it is the most flattering shape, but from the front, when you see that haircut, it has those diagonal lines that are drawing that hair on you that drawing that outlining that silhouette on your face also, some asymmetry can also be amazing on round faces. If we talk about heart shaped face it's approximately same as with round face, but normally here again that will kind of situate that whole cheek area it will look bigger than it actually is if she grows it lower up until it's somewhere at the chin level. Maybe one centimeter, even above the chin that will look great, can do chi length as well and again it will depend on your body type more than this or yes, that is the most universal. What are 2 inches to the bottom, more elongated at the front rectangular. It'S pretty long, and it has some sharpness here, some sharps Joline. So basically, it's very similar to long face ab long face same situation if you're not making that huge volume on top and that very sleek here on the sides, your good nothing will happen. There'S the only one thing: if you do it here, it will give you width at the jaw and it will accentuate your jaw a little bit more, so your jaw might look wider than it is. If you cut it here, hair will create that outline. If you grow it slightly longer, just a little bit longer, even if it's blunt but one centimeter longer than your chin. It'S gon na look amazing, and I do think that you should show your jaw line, because a square jaw line is amazingly beautiful. If we talk about similar situation but not elongate it but just square face, they have width here as well as the cheeks, and they also have that squarish nice here on the jaw same situation as as with that one except for it. They can have some volume on top, but they do have that volume on top, then it will kind of delete those problems that we might have here again, if we just take it on that side. So, in this case, our head turns one square piece: if it's slightly above same thing, that thing can look slightly bigger than it is so the whole attention will be here if it's slightly above, like one or two centimetres like that, so basically yeah, you see that We'Ll just open that every time it's one centimeter longer or more especially asymmetrical like that and elongated here at the front again those diagonal lines and that long line going from here to here will just basically equalize your face reversed triangle. I don't know if this exists, but just in case I created that narrow at the top and sharp here I also have trapeze or pear shape. I don't know how you normally call that, but it's slightly different. So here again we have sharp features. Here'S sharp the same thing as with a square face basically anywhere here, will accentuate that and make it wider than it is everything that is longer one inch, let's say again, elongated or blunt, but one inch we don't care about the forehead in this case at all. It will hide that part anyways, and this is traveese and same thing here. You may ask me: what is the difference between the other one, the other one just had more square jaw here, and this one has round jaw like more flash here more puffy here on the sides. They of course have chin so again anywhere here. If you do it, it will make this part, look bigger and then will attract more attention on that. As soon as you make it floor again, we resolved our problem and again it doesn't matter if it's blunt, if it's elongated, if it's a symmetrical or symmetrical, so that is very universal. Now I think, if you are afraid to make a mistake, do this cut it middle neck length on the sides slightly shorter in the back about one or two centimeters and a little bit elongated here to the front. So if you look on me from the front you can see those pieces are going slightly longer to the front. If you feel like your face is slightly asymmetrical, you can also do a symmetry here. Why is it more Universal than let's say chin length and why so many women don't like chin length, many women, they tried Bob. They made it blunt and chin length and they didn't like it. So after that they thought that they don't look with Bob in general. So they think that the bob doesn't make them look beautiful. It makes them look too simple. They feel lack of chic lack of sophistication. There is stocky appearance, that's what many women say, and this is why? Because, if its chin length, then our neck is exposed completely and it starts reflecting light from the sides when it's reflecting light from the sides it looks bigger than it is and wider than it is also. If it's blunt, then, here at the ends, it's horizontal that horizontal line speaks with horizontal line of your shoulders. Your shoulders will look more square, your neck looks slightly wider, and then your head looks like that square, and then your face looks a little bit thinner just because the hair gives them shadows on the side face and that hair is more likely to be at the Front because it's harder to keep them on it back like, for example, with long hair long hair is like on the back where the ponytail your whole face is opened when it's bob pretty often is lying on the sides of your face. So it gives some shadows on your face. It shrinks your face a little bit up to here and then your neck reflects light. So it looks wider, and this is why that gives that awkward and stocky appearance to women, sometimes also it doesn't contain any diagonal lines and those diagonal lines will do wonders. Let'S just suppose it's still blunt, but it's below the chin what's happening, it equalizes facial features. It marries the head to the body through the neck. It kind of starts. Looking all together before, like the head was something separate that would just put on that neck. Also what it does. It gives shadows to the neck into that area to the jawline area, and that area is normally what we contour. Even sometimes, we sometimes create that shadow just to look more at kind of chisel to make our neck look slimmer and also to make it more uniform. With our faces, because if our face has some shadows here, the neck again automatically looks wider, not because it's wider again, it's always had to toe it's always the bone structure. Overall, it kind of gives that beautiful shadow here on the side over a jawline on the neck and also reduces double chin. Also, women have double chin here. It doesn't depend on age. You know my chin is not tight. Also, just is just the structure basically that I have so every time I gain a little bit weight here. I have like a lot of stuff going on. I also sometimes like to darken it before for the lamps, because the lamps make it bigger in real life. I never do that, so this is what is happening when the hair is one inch below the chin or even a couple of centimeters below the chin level, so that creates that shadow here as well. This is why is the most universal haircut from my viewpoint also for older women, but I'm not selling you, the Bob. Some of you have long hair because long hair, it's just a different subjects, the whole world of beauty and has its own laws. There are women who look amazing and beautiful with long hair, and actually they just look more themselves. They feel more themselves actually with longer hair rather than with shorter. Now. What is the most trendy? Is that blunt, bob or elongated or asymmetrically elongated bob slightly layered, but not too layered with that heavy front piece or both heavy front pieces here or lob? Also, it's very popular because women make lob and then they do waves or curls, which looks very cool and actually women with afro hair or women with very curly or wavy hair. That'S important that they make their hair cut when the hair is dry. Basically, the rules are totally same. It'S just with curly hair. You will just have more volume in general and you probably want to work a little bit better on the shaping your curls itself like. Where do you create that volume? Because it's same length? Sometimes it can happen that your top is totally flat and then it goes curly curly, and then it widens so much here in the sides. So some women prefer to cut that shorter and make the volume on top more and then here it will be more like that for that, actually, you can watch this video volume on top hair cuts. How to make this? How I do this, I also talk about geometry of the hair. So again, I'm gon na leave the link down below another important thing. If you go to the salon and ask them to give you a bob, but you're scared to cut your hair too short, for example, middle neck or it's somewhere here, and you want to try to cut it just a little bit shorter cut them not shorter than This bone because, let's say they ask to cut it up to here in approximately 10 days after hair cut hair kind of gets used to its new shape, because they end now at different places than before. They have to lie down slightly differently. They need to lie on each other in a certain manner and what's happening, is it's lying on the Hat and goes here or so sometimes you cannotice, if you cut your hair, like that, it starts kind of going inside because it lies on your jaw. The problem here is, it grows very fast. It becomes in that point when your neck needs that shoulder so that's kind of the most annoying period of time, because the hair, because of the gravitation it kind of gravitates towards your neck, you start having a lack of volume here, it's here and then it starts. Curling upwards: that's the worst thing here, because you kind of end up with that hair. So it kind of repeats your shape here. It'S getting used to lying that way, but worse women who curl their hair all the time. Of course. For them, it's not going to be a problem because their hair can't get used to that new shape. Their ands are always lying in different directions. But if you are the one who has that very straight hair just be aware about this, and especially that's important for somebody who likes thinning their ends for somebody who has very thick hair, very thick straight hair. If they do have blunt cut and if let's say their bones are very delicate, sometimes they feel like that's just too heavy for them. I'M also talking about this in my hair for body types, video who looks better with that thin and but in general I think everybody can go with blunt cut without thinning ends, because I think it's very beautiful only because it looks very healthy because when the hair Is unhealthy: this is when we see those transparent ends when the cut is so thick that it gives that illusion of very healthy hair even to it totally killed hair. Another thing that was trendy several years ago, but I'm very happy that this trend was very short in time, is too much elongation. So basically, everything that is over the top normally doesn't leave that long. They started doing that a line bob. They start doing that asymmetrical. A line bob so is every trend. Everything sometimes can get pretty exaggerated to a point when it's like absolutely unnatural and absolutely understandable when you're making that on the back super short and then you're making that super long up to here, you have to think about the movement of your hair. It'S not just for the pictures you're gon na go outside you're gon na have that wind, the wind will blow in your hair. Like those two front pieces, they're gon na just flow in the wind and then they're in the back. You would have super short and pretty blunt cut, so if, from my view, point is just not very statically pleasing looking because that shape is exaggerated to a point when it becomes unflattering for any body. Basically, but then you can ask me, then what should be the difference? Let'S say that's a front piece to back: here's her hidden Joline, so the most flattering would be going parallel to the jawline or slightly more vertical like that, so that bottom line would be parallel to the jawline or it can get slightly more vertical, slightly shorter. On the back and slightly more vertical, but only slightly, I would not recommend doing that. That is too much. Even if your hair is shorter, you cannotice on many women. They make their bob really parallel to their jewel line, and it looks amazing if we talk about that length, absolutely straight length that cuts your jaw that looks more like little girl cut. It does have a certain vibe. It does simplifies a little bit. It just has its own mood, and you know for some women for somebody types they just wanted super flat. Super blunt like that, parallel to the planet Earth, that's it, and that would look amazing also, but for that you can also watch my body types. It'S just on some women yeah. They feel like they don't look sophisticated enough, then go ahead, a line, Bob you're good, and also don't forget about that. You can style it absolutely differently, but today I mostly was talking about. If you just cut and go, you know as simple as it can be, because if you're ready to style it day and night, can't make a mistake here, even if they cut too much, don't be upset about it, because the way you style it you can change Everything you can style it with hot tools and stuff. You can color them a little bit more and then you will turn it into one of your best accessories that you ever had. I think Bob is such a haircut that you can really go lack of volume and you don't feel that it drives you down because already it's so light here and nothing is here that place of your neck is very beautiful. It is exposed, and it's not dragging the features of the face down. It'S true for somebody times, especially for gun means. That means I normally look pretty tired with long hair. They need something lighter, alright, that's it. I hope that was interesting. We will continue talking about the bob and, if my channel helps you, if you want to support me, you can that joint button. I will be very happy if you do. hi everyone: Me: *already has a bob and thinks it suits me* Hmm I wonder if a bob will suit me

Audrey Coyne: This was absolutely amazing! I learned more about face shape, bob styles and how to cater to you in these 24 minutes than every other article and video I've watched on the subject. Thank you so much xx

Ruth M: Time Stamps/Face Shapes: 5:39 oblong 7:00 diamond 8:12 triangle 8:39 round 10:26 heart 10:59 rectangular 11:41 square 12:41 inverted triangle 13:17 trapeze

Deb Less: I totally agree that wanting everyone to feign an oval face shape is ridiculous. Who even comes up with these rules?

rabia: Your definition of beauty is so liberating!

lsnsln: I just wish you could look at me and tell me what would suit me

Lemon ArtTutorials: I’m scared to get a bob and look like Dora.

Eli4shawt: I’m a guy and i feel way way more myself with long hair, if you ever get around to it what if you did a video on why some men look really good with long hair and other guys look dramatically better with short

testingtesting54321: "Round face is very beautiful by itself." Me:

Olivia Godoy: I love how Bob sounds like a person: ''As soon as they went to Bob their life completely changed'', ''Straight Bob'', ''Blonde Bob''.

Chungo Mungo: i absolutely love how inclusive of all skin and body types she is

Bettina Puskás: "The sun is not trendy enough" i love your definition of beauty because it is honest and true.

Tyra W: BOB, Who are you ? And why does Aly talks the whole time about you

elektraeriseros: I also love the concept of each type having multiple options to "feel more themselves". Like, even if you have a particular face shape, you don't feel limited. I love that!

Shy: I can only imagine how much of your time goes on the research of each topic and I wanna thank you for it Ally, you're amazing ❤️❤️

Giorgia Bonaventura: I would pay for you to examine my face body etc! You should try making something like that: your view of beauty is liberating, you know a lot and I think a lot of people would trust you

Chickyface: Love the way she talks about bob like a person

a fish with a gun: I love what you said about not trying to “correct” everything to an oval face shape! It’s annoying when people act as of face shape is limited to either being “right” or being “wrong”, and especially annoying when people talk about face shape like it’s the only factor that matters when deciding a style.

Sofia c: I have been chopping off my hair at two in the morning for the last two years. No regrets... I do miss ponytails but still. I have airy wavy hair (really frizzy). I have found that shorter hair helps me look less like a mop-jesus hybrid and more like a person. Which is nice.

小宮ナツ: I love how you have put picture of various ethnicities whilst discussing the face shapes. I have had a bob for 5 years, never regretted my decision to cut my long hair off.

Izaya at the Beach: "Would Bob suit your face?" - When Ally's promised to wingman her best mate Bob but she gotta shoot a video at the same time...

myrra baity: I love what you said about “fixing” your face to make it look oval❤️ I agree, beauty is about accentuation your individual look, personality, face shape and body shape.

Tri S: Aly, this is so helpful! I've had a bob before and felt that my head looked like a weird mushroom, lol. You're right, I think it was just too short for me. Now I'm thinking about trying a longer bob. Do you have any thoughts about the "shag" haircut? It seems popular here in the US, but I'm having a hard time sensing who it looks good on.

B Rx: I honestly looove bobs and lobs, as a theatrical romantic It adds more volume for me so it works! Thanks Aly❤️ May I recommend a video on nail shapes and sizes for each kibbegoey type? That would be amazing❤️

sue K: God knows how many times I've rushed in front of the mirror during this whole video!‍♀️

Alexandria: I should probably tell you, because it might be nice to know. I have been watching your videos for probably a couple of years now and have found your content to be incredibly helpful to me. The information you provide is always so descriptive and I've never left a video thinking "that was a waste of my time". Which unfortunately does happen with a lot of them lol. But not yours. I value your opinion and your informative videos have been so beneficial to my hair journey. So thank you!! Keep it up cause you're doing great babe

Eroshie Guidance: I love the fact that you are finely detailed and elaborated every face shape, even the ones that are not well-known. Can you also make a separate video for suitable hairstyles for a pear-shaped face, please?

Risa Mae Ogalinola: Finally, a very informative vid for someone who needs assurance, advice and tips to go straight to her style. This is my 5th video that I have watched from your channel in just one day and I have no plan to stop binge watching your videos. Thank you! Stay safe and god bless♡

Purples Arts: I’d like to meet bob before making such a big decision

cosmic_latte: Thank you for showing so many face shapes (I'm a mix of oblong & rectangle) in this and even going into side profiles a little bit. Love your videos Aly ♡

Al Akane: Oh wow you explained it so well, as usual.. I used to have a chin-length bob and felt exactly the way you described it, I just didn't like it.. But as soon as it grew just a bit, I started loving it! Thank you so much for making a separate video on bobs; I now can't wait for one where you tell us about all of the ways to style them, so excited :) As someone who has been feeling like experimenting with different shapes of bobs lately, all of this makes me very happy haha.. P S You look amazing, Aly!. this style really suits you :)

grumpyoldmanneedsanap: “The basic of this idea is.., psycho-“ Omg couldn’t have put it better

noirettebeauty: This winter I discovered the neck-lengthening effect of the lob on my trapeze face, heavy/blunt +2 contrast (in winter) features, heavy rope hair, and flamboyant gamine body. The shorter at the C7 (back) and longer at the collarbone (front) truly is a magical, universal cut!!

Baribrooks: This was incredibly helpful—thank you, Aly! I have super HUGE dimples (oblong/long face....dramatic classic...slightly asymmetrical face); what would be the most flattering length?

Rebecca Garner: This is very helpful as I planned on getting a bob the next time I go to the hair salon. Thank you for explaining different types and shapes that go with it ❤️

CT Sloane: As a life-long poker straight bob or lob girl, this is so right on! You really know your stuff!

Anabel: Your approach to every beauty subject is always so positive yet informative. Thank you!!!!

Jennie Nguyen: Aly I always enjoy your videos . You’re so talented. I loved your singing on your other channel too. I often changed hairstyle every few months, from long to bob to pixie then back to bob, long and pixie. Thanks for making videos on different face shapes and body types. You’re honest, positive and beautiful.

Di :3: I love my long wavy hair but this could change when I am over 50. Ally’s videos have an effect of lifting anyone’s self esteem instantly. Thanks to her, I now love my hooded eyes.

minnie mouse: Thank you so much for your detailed explanation! Confirmed and answered many questions i had for an oblong or diamond face, slim longish. Recently cut an old mid blonde wig to collar bone length but it still look like it was elongating my face. Today i was brave cut to chin length as advised...amazing!! Now it's perfect my face looks balanced and it suits all my clothes!! Totally cutting my black wig exactly the same! Thanks again!

zitronenstern: I was always scared of getting a bob because I am tall and thought it would make my head seem small. BUT turns out: It's actually very flattering because the shorter hair adds volume and actually, if anything, makes my head look bigger and everything more balanced :) btw I have very thick hair

Khao Jung: I would like to express my gratitude I watched your video then decided to get a bob after going in circle for months. Everyone compliment me and said it suited me really well. All the love

Just another ARMY: I always had very long hair but one day I got tired of it and cut it and that was the best decision I made in my life

P S: I had long hair for most of my life and two years ago I started getting bob hairstyle consistently and I didn’t expect to love it so much. I even got more compliments on my looks which is a huge confidence booster. The fact that my hair grows fast means more frequent trips to the salon and I have to stop this year because I need to save money

Lauren S. Roesler: Love your channel and content. Always refreshing & different than the boring norm. There is beauty in our uniqueness. Any suggestions for oval face and Bob length? I find I look best with a “Lob” length for my oval shaped face and natural body type (Inverted triangle/ thin apple ). Thoughts?

Cheri Green: This was an excellent video and very informative! By the way Aly I love your clothes, you always look so pretty!

Rita Merrill: I love your videos, thank you for all your great content. Your ideas about how hair area effects how certain hair styles will look is very interesting. Please make more videos on having a small hair area. Maybe you could do a series of videos each talking specifically about each hair area type and what cuts and styling techniques would suit them best. Please!

Tatanya Graham: Thank you Alyona! I watched your vid and took the photos of the Asymmetrical bob to the hairdresser and they done it for me - I have always had long hair, so this was a big change for me, but watching your vids gave me the the motivation to do it! and I am so happy i did! I absolutely love it!!! also your so beautiful!

Elena Swann: What a talented girl! Thank you so much! I’ve been looking for a someone like you long time . I’m so happy I’ve found you now. Very professional and right to the point. Thank you !

no, i don't want no slugs: I like that you talk about things being proportionate or in harmony. I used to be really self-conscious about my small forehead, hairline and square jaw, and then I saw Rosamund Pike and realized that she had the same kind of forehead , hairline, and jaw, but was confident and knew how to make it work. With her features, style, and personality, she is so captivating. It helped me be comfortable with looking a bit different.

Jessica Gomes: Yes! Vibe is so important also

General High Ground: This was very informative. Wow. I am thinking of cutting my hair into a bob again after many, many years. I love the fact that it is such a universal hairstyle, but this video has helped me decide on length.

xotuesday: I'm less than 1 minute in, and I already know that I'm hearing a truly intelligent woman with much knowledge to impart.

Libra Sunny: This video was so good. I was bored and wanted to watch some haircut-videos and skip to my type/face-shape/whatever, and after I've started to watch your video even on some random point, I just wanted to watch it as a whole, because it is made so good; so much thoughts behind it, so much background-information, so much research and practical knowledge/background experience. Wow. Respect. I like it very much and yeah, I totally like it and flound it really interesting. Also thank you, now I really know my faceshape and can better style, because of your backgroundinformation about it. Nice.

Thayná: Hey Aly! I love your content, you're my favorite beauty blogger. It would be awesome if you made a similar video about pixie cuts.

Moonlight: It makes me laugh alot while she explained about rectangular shape face

Javiera Figueroa Moraga: It is so refreshing just hearing someone talk about the pear shape, many people have it and it’s very specific for trend videos. Thank you!! ♥️♥️

My Impressions: Just cut myself some curtain bangs after watching this. Even though I have a round face with very chibby cheeks. But I love the way it looks with my curls your video is extremely informative!! You are THE best beauty influencer for sure.

Katrin: can you do one for curly hair ? since its so different, its not like straight or wavy hair, where u can cut it either way and it looks good, curly hair demands rocket science it seems

Flo F: That was super interesting!! You put in simple words something I could never quite explained. I'd love to have a video on long hair as well!

Lisa LeVan: Thank you for this video, Aly! I love it...I'm currently growing my pixie out into a bob and this video has the perfect content!

Cheater Stories Podcast: When you said people with round faces usually have flat head on the top I laughed so hard. I have a round face and this is true when I wear a middle part ponytail. I can see it now!

TheKittengoddess: I've been wearing a bob for over 30 years and haven't looked back. It's so sophisticated and timeless.

K Kaw: I love the look of a bob. I had many variations of it over and over again. The only thing is that I can't pull my hair back. I am a dramatic classic and I love my hair back. It is tough. I have fine hair, but not thin, and I feel like bob is too limiting. I want to avoid my hair to look always the same as it is with bobs. I know it can be curled, etc. but still it is limiting. I opt for a lob.

Vicky G: I used to hate having short hair because it didn’t “suit my face” and I thought it would make me look bulkier but after watching your videos I chopped off my hair into a long pixie cut 6 months ago. I was pleasantly surprised to see how much it brought out my features and I got a lot of compliments for it too <3

Yaya Esqueda: I’m a male and I’m growing out my hair that way I can cut it into a bob, trying to go for more of a feminine look

yrozord: "parallel to planet earth" xD best Bob transformation I've seen was in the movie "gone girl" with Rosamund Pike. She's beautiful in general, but this geometrical Bob cut really flattered her and looked grate with body movement. About bobs with a big difference in length between back and front - - it's especially bad for thine hair, I looked like a wet chicken with only few long pieces at the front xD

Siren dep: you helped me find my new haircut, layered lob with side swept bangs! please do bikinis and swimsuits for the body types next!

Kinga: This video is so well done. The research you made to look for the photos is just woooow. And I'm so happy abouth the explanation you made about why women don't like cutting the hair at the jaw line. For me the picture of Renee Zellweger and your description made it all so clear. Also the picture of Natalie Portman showed very well how the neck seems thicker with this length. I was considering cutting my hair recently and your video made me so inspired ^^ I'm happy you make those videos. For me they are so important. They tell not about the trends, but about the universal rules of beauty and show different kinds of beauty. I think every woman can find helpful tips here, no matter of her colors, shapes, age etc. This is so precious <3 Greetings from Poland :)

rdpcl: I'm a TR/R body type with straight hair, and every time I get a bob one side of my hair curls inward and the other curls outward. If I flat iron all the ends it looks too Yang for me, and if I try to fix the wrong curl it doesn't obey. Every few years I think "why don't I get a bob cut?" and the next day I remember why.

jeniouk: Thank you so much! You talked about reversed triangle and trapèze face! Absolutely no one talk about us usually Thank you again!!!❤

Bulletproof Love: I have a wide, oval face and wavy hair and I just got an a-bob a few weeks ago and I love it! I had about waist length hair for about 5-6 years until last summer when I decided to get a long bob, which I also loved

Kass McGann: Brava, Aly! It's so important that we enhance what we look like, not hide it or try to change it because it's "wrong" somehow. You are doing excellent work! #UBU

Earthy Nourish: You’re so informative!! I love this, thank you

Jessica Gomes: I did cut my hair blunt middle neck length bob. My hair is coarse, I look like a mushroom I don’t dislike it, my hair has always been wild. The amazing thing about bob haircut is the lightness, the way it exposes your neck and shoulders jackets look amazing, it doesn’t hide the cut of the pieces, and also it can make you look younger and taller!

Pris: I've watched your videos, but I can't determine my body type. I'm also having trouble figuring my face type. Would you offer an advisor or personal analysis? Possibly on Patreon, or as a paid service? I would definitely pay for it. Thank you very much!

Ainhoa Salazar Cardero: Loved the sun and moon metaphore! Ir cracked me up

Random Kidz: Thank you so much for mentioning square jawed women.. I've always loved how I looked, untill i became a teen and people started to say that my square jaw made me look masculine.. when I was trying my dammed hardest to be feminine.. so thanks for putting us in a good light

Ruusu Ensio: I’ve wanted long hair as long as i have remembered. I’m always afraid of cutting off even a little bit. Everyone knows me for my hair. It’s like a part of my personality. But i’ve now realized in the past four years that a Bob would look really good on me. I have a heart shaped face and 2c-3a hair. It would probaply do good for my curls too since my hair is so long that the roots don’t curl and the ends of the front pieces are so dead they don’t really curl either. I’m just afraid of cutting it. It has taken me 14 years to grow my hair to this lenght (waist lenght). I’m afraid of regretting the cut. My hair grows super slowly. I’m also afraid what others would think. My hair is such a big part of me. I’m also a little scared that my hair wouldn’t curl since the roots don’t really curl. I don’t want to loose my curls. I just don’t know what to do. I feel like it’s a change that would help me, make me feel better and make my hair easier to take care of. I’m just not sure if i’m ready for it.

Claudia Meier: Wow, congrats !!!Never seen such a good explained video about Bob cuts and face shapes :)

Annelise: As a Twin Peaks fan, I was completely mortified at the sight of this title without realizing the context.

Flower: Hi again Aly, I'd love to see a before and after video of you with no makeup then makeup. And images of you in unflattering hair. Just to see even more the reason your hair and makeup look so great for you. Also: your videos are amazing; you really pull the details together and see this stuff on a deep level.

Osazemen Usengbuwa: You're God sent. I've been wanting to buy a bob styled wig but I wasn't sure if it'll suit my face shape. Thanks for this. Lot's of love from Nigeria

Birdie: I’m thinking of donating my hair. I’ve always had long thick hair but whenever I talk about cutting it off people keep steering me away talking about how it’s going to take forever if you want to grow it back. Even when I got layers friends mourned for my hair I’ve never really been able to do anything experimental. So that all this hair doesn’t go to waste donating it seemed like the best excuse! I wanna try it once to know if I would like it so it’s now or never!!

Char Marie: Thank you! This was very informative and fun to watch

SewSooze: I have always had a round face with chubby cheeks which is great now I'm 51, nightmare when younger never looked my age haha, always had a bob in different lengths, usually chin length as it is at the moment and as I;m only 5ft when it starts getting past my shoulders makes me feel dragged down and scruffy, your Hair looks Gorgeous x

UN PO' D'ARIA show: you are so cool! I love the way you talk and think, you are so openminded and I wish everyone be the way you are! Thank you for the inspiration!

M Mkushi: I LOVE that you included afro and curly hair types! Great video :)

Sosin Draws: I took your advice over a year ago to cut my hair to an a-line bob, and it would have been great...but my stylist exaggerated the heck out of it. She cut my curly hair to 6 inches in the front and 2 inches in the back. It’s been a year and a half and I’m thankful it’s grown out to a lob, but I’m terrified of my hair being cut any shorter than my chin.

Henny Ven: your videos are great, you explain soooo well but there is one question left... why does your hair don`t move at all? you are beautyful btw <3

light: I’m reversed triangle and I always follow what is suitable for square face, but bangs are my favourite to cover the forehead.

Leslie LTdlM: When lock down is over, I am getting a bob, but I must admit I am soooo scared! I have never had such short hair so I have ZERO idea if it will suit me. This video has been very educational and helpful

IBREATHEforDAEHWI: I haven’t cut my hair short for how many knows month so I just need some motivation. This video made me chop it myself. It’s a pity considering I’m trying to rock a longer hair but short hair just make me feel different

xue: I just love how you don't like the idea of feigning an oval face and want people to rock their face shape, body type, and everything else

Haley Davidson: This video is so informative, I can tell you know what you're talking about! Thank you!

Lisa Summer: I love asymmetrical bob! I want to get my hair cut but I was trying to figure out how I want it to be cut.

Insteadøfsheepツ: ¨i think the idea, to make a short hair style correct your face to look oval, is super crazy. Its as if somebody would wake up in the morning and say that the sun is not ´trendy` enough, so then they would have to shut all the doors and windows and wait until its night time, because the moon is shaped better than the sun.¨ omg i love you you just made my confidence about my face shape go up alot <3 <3

Fê Boaventura: She looks and sounds so trustworthy. All knowledgeable. Id trust my beloved hair to her only.

Bell H: your always so amazing & make things so much easier to understand... i love your videos ✌
