Hi i'm radonna from boys and girls hairstyles. Today i have crystal with me um. Her haircut is absolutely adorable um. She makes it look adorable, but yes, it is so cute, so i wanted to show you guys. Um she's been coming to me for a while. Now she found me on the youtube channel and she drives down from springville, so it's really fun. Um, we've gotten to know each other really well and it's fun. It'S awesome, but you guys this cut is super cute. Okay, she does kind of leave it longer on the top we're gon na texturize that um we was teasing about her putting in her order. That means we talked over the haircut and things that she's wanted and and after she's like hey. Now, you have my order. Now you can and i'm like perfect that's cute, so we've got her order, so what we are going to do, she's, like i'm, not want no mullet back here, so um she's going to uh grow out her sides a little bit. So if anybody's wanting to you know, grow their hair out or even the sides or anything, the best thing to do is uh keep the back shorter, so take some of the length off just so you can start catching um. You know the sides with the back. So just bring it up, as you know short as you can, and that will definitely help the growing out stage a lot easier and you won't feel like you have. You know the big thick hair in the back, while you're trying to grow the front or the top. Even you know some people like to to grow the top, and so it's good to just kind of bring the length up, and then it catches up a lot faster okay. So what we're going to do is just set this just kind of clip that up now we're going to take it tight, uh, tighter back here towards the nape area and crystal has a ton of hair, and, like i say when you see this haircut is going To be, oh, it's just so cute on her, but i will show you um how we texturize it because sometimes, if you have a lot of hair - and you do a haircut like this - it can feel um a little bit heavy. But just kind of bulky is the word i would use so i just mean it. It feels a little full, maybe um so just to have the wispiness in it and stuff. I will show you the texture when we get to that part. So you can see. I'M just kind of taking it closer to her head back here to get the length off, so she doesn't have to deal much with that. Just kind of point cut into that just so it's not bulky or just too blunt - and i will show you like, i said we'll come back to this area when we go to texturize but yeah we're gon na and you can see i'm taking it on an Angle a little bit and we go how many weeks do we do in between? Is it six yeah? That'S that's what i was thinking. So she goes every six weeks and you'll see her color. It'S really cute. We have um. I do a 7n on just the root area um to blend in the natural highlighting that comes through. You know that's a good way to put it right and uh and then down here i do a 6n just so it looks you know kind of natural there and then we just lighten the tips of her hair. So we weave it and then we grow it out and just do the root area for a while and it looks really cute. It looks like a color melts, so you're gon na see that when i dry it and uh on these sides, i'm just kind of holding it holding it on an angle um. Sometimes i hold it back because i want the length on the sides, but this i don't i just hold out from the head just because we obviously don't need the length to fall longer in the front. Okay, so you guys can see there is the guide point. So i'm just going from that guide point and taking that length off same thing, just follow that up and crystal how long have you been coming? It'S been gosh, it's been a long time, yeah it's hard to even remember february and maybe yeah. I think so. I think it's it's been a while it's been fun. Okay, so now i'm gon na take that out and then uh there's the guide point here. So i'm just going to just cut into this a little bit. She doesn't want a lot of length off on the top. So that's when you just come through here - and you just point cut a little bit in to that just because you obviously want to trim it, but not take a lot of length um this one's a good one. This is more of um. A soft look like i know that some of you out there when uh you've commented and things like that um kind of always wondering why i do a lot of spiky haircuts and things like that. It'S obviously what the client wants. You know they come in and want that, so i do a lot of that, but um. So i'm really excited that crystals is you know more of a soft, a soft haircut? I i'm really excited for you guys to see it, but yet she has volume. You know what i mean she has volume, um and texture, so yeah it'll be fun for you to see it. Okay, now i'm going to hold this up on the top same thing, just kind of come in point cut that a little bit her sides, it's crazy! How fast her hair grows too? I know, isn't that funny. Some people be like uh. My hair doesn't grow fast, i'm like it does, but it's so funny because i mean when you see it daily like you, don't you don't notice, you know what i mean, but somebody doesn't see you for six weeks right and then you come back and you're, like. Oh anyway, so yeah, it's just it's kind of crazy. How we look at our own hair because we see it every day. Okay, now i'm just going to texture around. You know the sides a little bit she's wanting to grow this um, i'm going to make sure these sides are totally even which i'm just going to bring this side up a tiny bit. Okay and then through this area, you can see i'm just taking little tiny cuts through here because and and she's growing it. So we obviously don't want to go too short, but we don't want it so bulky here, while you're growing it um, and so, if you just take little pieces throughout kind of like this and then up you can see, i start like an inch up in inch. Yeah about an inch - and i just take my shears and open and shut slowly. Okay, again, i'm just gon na double check length on this side and then kind of back here by the ears. Okay, so now for texture um, the back gets really full and bulky. So i'm just gon na come in with my uh texturizing shears and i start in and i open and shut my shears as i go out. So i start kind of in and i come back out and i'm just going to do this all around the bottom. Just because it gets really heavy through this area. Okay, now a little bit up here, because it's longer, it's obviously going to be heavier. So what i'm going to do is come up. I don't go. You know where there's a part you come in and hold that, and then you can bounce that and you can see where it starts to curl and bend. That'S where you want to put the texturizing, because that's the heaviest part of your hair and that's where it's going to start to be limp. Okay, so i'm going to come through this area. Okay, now i'm going to take the chunky, texturizing shears um, because she likes a lot of pieciness and especially because she has so much hair. That was the other point i wanted to. Let you guys know that you know if you have a lot of hair you're. Obviously, going to want to texture you're going to want to texture more just because it can be so heavy. So obviously, if you have thinner or more fine hair, even if you have a lot, it just kind of depends. So if you need more to get it to look wispy because it's longer, then then you can go for it and i'm kind of going through the edges. You can see the ends right here with the big texturizing shears, so you can see with the other ones. How i went like in this is more on the outside and the edges, just because we want more movement and texture through those areas. Okay, now, what we'll do is dry it and we'll see how it is and then, if we want to texture more after we will and then i always like to let her fill her bangs after two and then, if we need to go shorter, we can. But she does kind of like him - i mean shorter here, but just kind of long. Are they feeling too long or do you want me drying? First, okay, perfect, perfect, perfect! All right now, my favorite, the root lifter spraying that and the root area, just kind of rub that in some mousse for the volume, okay and then i am loving, loving this new volume and lip spray and it smells phenomenal. That'S my favorite part, okay, so she obviously wears her hair this way, but i'm going to go the opposite just to get that roots that you're working in there and he's acting just go back and forth with my fingers. Like i said, i get it on the very bottom, with a 20 to volume cover the natural highlighting okay and then, after that, i'm going to go to the other side. Let'S get that volume, i'm just kind of going back and forth with my fingers and then, of course, on the top backing board. Okay, now i'm going to come in with the round brush, you can tell that it's not stopping wet and you can tell it's not dry um. I always like to stay about 80 dry before i start to round brush, so so until i'm just kind of drying that down and you can see how awesome um, the texture and the product just makes it stand up. Just have a lot of volume. Okay, awesome! So, okay, now on low i'm just gon na come through here now i'm going to use just a little bit of oil, okay and then a tiny bit of the clay just to kind of piece out her bangs and the front. So you can see how her and see the light kind of through there, it's just fun, gives it a little bit of definition, um with the layering and the texture. Okay. Now before i totally style it all the way i'm going to lift her up. So she can see if she needs some some more texture. What are you thinking girl? Do you want? Do you want like some more out through there, just threw it up through the bottom, just a little bit? Okay, so we're just gon na do a little bit through these. These bottoms just to kind of piece it out a little bit more just so this can be full, but yet this is still kind of pc through that area. Just going to backcomb this a little bit and with all that texture in there, it helps it so much it's so much easier to backcomb with texture, okay and then you're, just gon na spray it and then i'm just gon na kind of put it into place. Okay, let's see if this is two: is that two full four yet or is that about about one okay sweet? Now, what i'm going to do is just kind of spray, this okay and then i'm going to turn her around. So you can see the stack in the back: okay, awesome, okay, good, just making sure that one side isn't longer so okay! Thank you! So so much for letting me videotape you you guys! Thank you! So much for watching um hope i get to talk to you in the comments and we will chat next time. See ya. You
