Hey guys, this hair tutorial will show you how to create three braided hairstyles for picture day. The first is 5-strand braid that you can wear on the side, the second is a lace dutch braid that you can wear with straight or curly hair, and the last one is a messy top knot with a wrap-around braid. Since I have a round and semi-square face shape, I've always worn my hair down for pictures. However, if you have an oval or petite face shape, I highly recommend trying an updo. Either way have fun and pick the right style because it's going to be in the yearbook forever. haha
These hairstyles are not only for school, you can wear them to work and dress them up for proms and weddings. :)

Hey guys in this video I'm going to show you how to do three. Braided hairstyle is perfect for picture day because you can see them from the front. So, let's begin the first hairstyle I'm going to show you is the basic 5 strand braid. So first gather your hair to one side and brush it out. If your hair is rather flat, don't forget to back comb your hair to give it a little bit of extra volume. Next divide your hair into five equal sections. The five strand braids might seem complicated, but it's actually really easy to do. First, you want to grab the leftmost strand and you want to place it over the neighbors strand and then under the next one. Now pull the two strands on the left together and do the exact same thing on the other side. So now grab the rightmost strand. Let it sit over the neighbor and under the next hold the two strands together on the right and then go back to the left. So it goes over and under hold the two strands together on the left, go back to the right and then go over and under and that's basically all there is to it just repeat it over and under back to the other side over and under now. If your hair isn't long enough for the five strand braid, you can always try the four strand braid instead and I'll have a link to that tutorial. At the end of this video, when you're done just tie your braids off with an elastic band and pull some hair out to bring your face, this part is optional, but you can also tuck on the side of your braid to make it look bigger. Finally, curl the loose ends with a curling iron and that's about it. The first look is complete. If you're the kind of girl who likes to wear her hair down, then this one is, for you pick up a small section at the top of your head and divide it into three equal sections. Now we're going to do the lace, Dutch braid so take the left strand place it underneath the middle then take the right place it underneath the middle then go back to the other side, select goals under, but this time you're going to pick up some hair and In the front of your face, you're going to add it to the right strand and then place it underneath the middle now rifqi so left tools underneath the middle then pick up comparing to the front of your face. Add it to the right strand and place it underneath the middle alright, so one more time left goes underneath the middle then pick up some hair under the front of your face. Add it to the right strand and cross it underneath the middle repeat the same steps until you reach your ear after that. Just continue the braid without picking up hair when the braid is, has shoulder-length, tie it off with an elastic band and do the exact same braid on the opposite side. Now that you have both sides, braided tie the rest of your hair up or use a clip. Then gather your braids to the back and tie them together at the nape of your neck. Next remove the tiny little elastics and let your hair down for this for your hairstyle. You can leave your hair straight and add a bit of volume by back combing. The crown or you can even curl your hair to give it a more boho life. For those of you who want to show off your slender face shape, you can always put your hair up in a bun. First tie your hair into a high ponytail, and if you want it to be noticeable in the pictures, you might want to kiss your ponytail right up up your head next grab your hair donut and place your ponytail through. It spread your hair over the donut to cover it then grab another elastic band and place it right on top now to buy the remainder of your hair into two sections and braid the left side. I'M doing this because I have long hair, but if you have shorter hair or you don't even have to use the shower, donut just divide your ponytail into two sections and braid one of the section. With the other section of hair. You want to backcomb it to give it some volume. Then you want to cover that perfect little donut, because the goal of says hairstyles to make it look like a messy top knot when you're happy, with the shape, use bobby pins, to secure everything in place. Wrap your braid around the bun in front so that it's visible in pictures then pin it at the back tuck the ends in and you're done. So I hope you enjoyed these braided hairstyles four-pitch a day.
