Hey curlfriends and welcome back Today, I'm going to show you guys how to create this super easy protective style., It's 4 Cornrows on Natural Hair, with Extensions using the Feed in Braiding technique.. If you have curly hair like I do it's best to start off on stretched hair., This is going to allow the braiding process to be a breeze.. I'M just brushing out this old twist out using a paddle brush., I'm going to start by splitting my hair straight down the middle.. This is going to create two sections, a left and right section, which we'll be splitting into two sections as well.. This will create our four parts.. The sub-sections will start from the crown of our head and will curve towards the back. You're, going to start off a little bit thin towards the front, get a little bit bigger towards the middle and super small towards the back.. If you have some help, this hairstyle is amazing to create, with some help, to make sure that all of the parts are super straight., If not just try your best to get them as straight as possible. Unravel one section and begin detangling., You want to make sure That your hair is super detangled before you start braiding., I'm going to base the entire braid from the top and the bottom of the section, and not the hair itself, with some Olive Oil Eco Styler gel., Brush that in to smooth everything down. Be sure to pull Away any extra hair that isn't a part of the section so that it doesn't interrupt your braiding., I'm grabbing some basic $ 1.99 Kanekalon hair from the Beauty Supply Store. Separate the hair into medium/small strands. Pre-section, the hair before you begin braiding, to make the braiding process Much more easier and quick. The feed-in technique is really simple.. It'S just creating the illusion of no extension, hair being added.. We'Re going to begin this braid with our own natural hair and add in the hair, as we go., A simple braid or cornrow will have 3 sections. You'll have a left right and middle section.. So when you're grabbing that extension, hair you'll have 2 pieces., You can add that to your index finger and add the other piece to the hair. That is loose.. As you can see here, I'm braiding the two together. I've gotten back over to my left side.. I grabbed the extension hair with my index finger., I'm just adding the other tail of that extension hair to the hair. That'S loose.! Once again you can see here. I have that loose hair., I'm grabbing with one index finger., I'm grabbing on section and adding in the other tail of that braiding hair to the loose section., I'm adding the hair as often as possible. Every time I end up with a loose section on my right Side, I add in the extension hair. The more braiding hair that you add as often as possible. The larger the braid will get.. So essentially, if you would like to get larger braids than what I have here today, just add in more hair, much more frequently.. I braided it all the way down to the ends and laid down my baby hairs for that one section with the Eco Styler Gel., Our first braid is complete., I'm going to repeat the same exact steps on to my next 3 braids. Detangle base down my hair With Eco Styler, avoiding the hair itself, so it doesn't end up super slippery begin, braiding, your natural hair and add in that extension hair. As soon as you have a good grip of that braid.. If you don't know how to braid or are a beginner braider, I have two videos on how to braid hair, how to plait hair as well as how to cornrow hair.. Please visit that video first and then revisit this hairstyle as it is an intermediate or advanced hairstyle. Practice makes perfection. Just repeat these steps over and over again until you get it.. I promise you guys it's not as hard as it seems. You're, literally just adding in the braiding hair, to your existing sections of your natural hair.. Once you get a hang of it, you'll breeze through these braids really quickly.. If you have naturally curly hair, like I do you'll end up with some really dry, areas. Just use a spray bottle to spray down the hair to keep in nice and moist, but not slippery, so that you can keep a good grip of the hair, but also Manage the hair and blend everything very nice and seamlessly. Either add in some Eco Styler or just spray it down with some water to make it nice and moist.. I personally find that the Eco Styler makes my braids last a little bit longer.. It gives a little bit more of a hold to the braids.. I love using the Eco Styler for this hairstyle.. This hairstyle lasts me about 3-5 days, depending on, if I tie my hair down or not., But you can also achieve this hairstyle with a moisturizer or edge control of your choice.. We just completed our very last braid., I'm just making sure that everything, nice and smooth and all of my edges are laid down. For daily maintenance. I'M just going to use some Jamaican Black, Castor Oil on my scalp to make sure that my hair is staying oiled. Down. Jamaican Black, Castor Oil is great for protective styles.. It'S keeps it nice and moisturized and also prevents flaking.. You can leave your hairstyle like this and keep the ends straight or you can dip them in hot water, since this is synthetic hair to create either a wave or a curl at the end., Because I have naturally curl hair. I opted for the curls at the end.. I just grabbed some medium sized perm rods and rolled up the two braids and I'm going to dip them in some hot water for about 10-15 seconds just enough to get them nice and hot., I'm using an old t-shirt to suck up all of the excess water. Take down the rods and there you go. I personally prefer the curled side better, because it just looks a little bit more naturally, like my own, naturally curly hair.. I hope you guys enjoyed this. Be sure to check out my previous braid tutorials.. I love you guys and I'll see you in the next one.
