Hi, i'm danielle Valiente with atmosphere salon and our question is how to do a pony tail using a weft so grab a weft, some bobby pins and a brush and some hairspray and let's get started. I started out securing a pony tail into my models, hair using a bungee and they sell bungees that are already created for you. But I like to create my own. It'S a fabric elastic with two bobby pins on each side, so directing all of the hair back away from the face. You can do a little back combing if you need a little bit of lift in the front securing the pony tail by placing the bobby pin in one direction, wrapping the elastic around the hair until it's really tight and then placing the other bobby pin in so That the two bobby pins make a crisscross. The reasons why you would use a weft for a pony tail is, if you need to add length or thickness to the hair. Of course, my model has beautiful long and thick hair, so she doesn't necessarily need a weft, but I'm going to demo a little weft on her just so that you could see the process of how to put it in when you purchase the wefts. It comes in long pieces, so I find it's a little bit more difficult to secure the weft in long pieces, so I cut them into smaller sections and if you need it to be thicker, you can actually just overlap and keep following the same process of securing The weft, until you find that it is the thickness that you want, take the weft place it at the pony tail just above the elastic and then take a bobby, pin and place the opening over the weft and pin it into the hair and then you're. Just going to wrap the weft around the hair until it's secure and you've gone through the entire weft. Now, of course, you want to choose the color of weft to match your natural color or your model or clients color, and they sell weft ponytails many different ways. This is just an easy way to apply it yourself at home once you've, wrapped all the way to the end. Just take another bobby, pin and secure that the exact same way. Now we need to cover it and blend it, so that it looks a little bit more like her own hair and we're gon na take a section of hair from the underneath and we're gon na wrap it around to hide the edge of the weft. Just like you would, if you were trying to hide the elastic of your ponytail and then underneath, where it's more hidden, you're, going to take a bobby, pin and pin upwards so that it secures that hair. When you're finished, you have options, you can keep your ponytail straight or you can curl it. You can Rouge it to give it some more volume and fullness, but there you have it how to secure a ponytail using a weft. You
