Hey everybody, so today, I'm going to show you how to blend really short layered hair into long extensions. These ones are clipping extensions by irresistible me. I'Ve been wearing clip-in extensions for about 10 years now and I love them. I'Ve learned a lot of tricks along the way. So, if you are interested, then please keep watching. My first tip would be to make your hair as thick as possible. My hair is very fine, so I like to use some kind of thickening cream or something and blow-dry your hair to make it look and feel more like the extensions to my clip in extensions. Most of them are Asian hair. So there are a lot more coarse than mine are so I'm just going to clip those in and my I've curled these before I put them in, I will link below how I curled these extensions, but the tighter the curl, the better and the way I like To curl, the hair is actually by taking the curling iron and wrapping the hair around the curling iron instead of in the barrel, taking the clip and curling it from the bottom, when you curl the hair from the bottom, the curl just sits at the bottom, but If you actually take the barrel and hold it against the scalp or the top of the weft and then wrap the hair around the barrel, it'll give it a more even curl along the whole shaft of the hair, and it will help blend your hair in. In your extensions, which you will see more in the video, I will show you, but I like to clip my extensions right one on top of the other. I think it blends much better for shorter hair. I have a tutorial on how to clip in your extensions. Actually so two, I have two sets of hair extensions that I'm using here and I actually sew them together. So I only have three clips on each weft and I take like a three clip and a four clip and I'll I'll sew them right side by each. I have a video on that. I will link that below as well, but I just find this covers most of your hair, especially with short hair. You want to make sure that it looks all even and you won't be able to see underneath. Nobody ever knows that. I'M wearing extensions whenever I tell people they're really shocked. So I guess that's the true testament. Whenever you're wearing extensions, you don't want people to know you're wearing extensions, you just want it to look like your natural hair, but better. You want to make sure your hair extensions match perfectly to your hair that I can't stress this enough. I always low light, my extensions, so you know, though my hair is blonde. It has some lowlights in it, so I always do that. That helps a lot, and my next tip is to make sure that your hair is layered. When your hair see it might, you can tell my hair, is really short and the back when you're layer, your hair extensions. This will help your hair blend so much easier, because if the top layers of the extensions are shorter, they'll pop up better, especially when they're curled, the easiest way to blend hair extensions into your natural hair, when it's short, is to curl your hair. So this is why I'm doing this, but, as you can see, I am curling my hair, and what I'm doing with my natural hair is what I don't suggest doing to your hair. Extensions is curling it from the bottom. So, as you can see, I'm taking a piece and I'm going about the middle, but I'm still putting it in the barrel and curling it around and to the edge of it. So what I want to do is I want my base of my hair. The tips of my hair to just blend into the hair extensions. I want them to kind of fold into the hair extensions. So that's why I'm curling them this way. I suggest doing like the gear curls one forward, one backwards, even though all these ones I'm doing kind of backward. I just don't want my hair natural hair to kind of blend all in together, but, as you can see, it's the the ends of my hair are folding nicely into the extension hair. These are my longer pieces at the top because I have - or these are my longer pieces at the front, because I have an angled bob, so these are going to be a little bit more easy to blend. My natural hair and my extension hair are layered, but, as you can see, the backs pieces are really short, so I'm just kind of giving these a little bit of a curl at the bottom, just to see how they're going to blend with my extension, hair they're. Not blending too perfectly so I will move on to my next step, which is making the extensions blend more with the actual hair itself. Now that I've curled kind of all around my natural hair, I'm going through my extension hair and I'm gon na give these more curls, because I just let my extensions sit with curls, I just always have a curl in my extension. I don't I rarely wash them and it's easier to have curly extensions with shorter hair. It just blends that much better, so I am actually taking my hair, my extension, I'm actually taking the top layers of my extension hair and wrapping the curling iron around the extension hair, and the reason I'm doing this is that while I, when you wrap your hair Around the actual barrel, instead of clipping out at the end, like I said before, it gives it a more even curl, along the whole shaft of the hair, and this will help give it a curl at the root which will help your natural hair blend or fold Into the extension hair and that's kind of what we wanted to achieve to make it look as seamless as possible, but you just want to make sure that the top layers of the extension hair are as curly as possible. I do actually suggest curling them tighter than this. I use a inch barrel, curling iron. I suggest using a three-quarter inch that way, you'll get a much tighter, curl and it'll blend that much better when you have a tighter curl in your extensions. So, as you can see, it's starting to fold a little bit better into my extensions, but I'm not still not completely happy, so I still got a curl more pieces and just so it pops up a little bit more. So it see how you can still tell my top layer and it's all kind of folding. One way you kind of want to avoid that you want them to fold different ways, your natural hair, so it kind of blends into the extensions. So what I'm doing is again I'm just taking the extension pieces and curling it around the barrel. So that way, the actual my natural hair will just fold right into the extension. So, as you can see, it's working a little bit better, it looks a lot more natural looking, but I'm still not finished. Yet I'm going to tweak a lot more just go through pieces and if pieces are more noticeable, just go to the pieces underneath and curl. Those pieces and right now, I'm actually curling the piece as along with the actual curl itself, to kind of blend it together. So now that I have it as seamless as possible, the tips of my natural hair are blending pretty much into the extension hair. I want to give the top of my head, where it's more flat, more dimension. So at this point, I'm going to be wrapping the curling iron around the the hair, and I know I suggested not to do this, but because I already blended the ends of the hair into the extensions it actually has like a curl to it. Whereas when you normally just curl your hair, like this or you wrap your hair around the curling iron, it tends to leave the ends of your hair, pretty straight and that's what we don't want when we're trying to blend short hair into the extensions we want it To kind of fold into the hair, so we want the ends to be curly. So, that's why I don't suggest that, but for the top of my hair, I'm going to just continue to do this kind of add dimension to the top of my head, and that is what the finished product looked like. I can’t stress enough how annoying it is to see women use 7 pieces of hair (including those one inch pieces ) thinking it’s going to be thick enough to hide their short hair . Her hair looks very good, very natural . Only recommendation I can make is to give the wefts the “root appearance: dye the very top of each weft to match the hair growth color . It gives it a seamless appearance. You would NOT see the tops do the weft at that point. Definitely give it a try if ya like. You want regret it I promise ❤️
