Life Lately | Dying My Curly Hair Extensions, Ulta Spring Sale, At Home Gel Manicure + More

Hi guys welcome back to my channel and welcome to the start of another vlog. I just got off the shower and i haven't even done my skincare i'm going to do it on camera because i'm going to show you guys some of the products i got from ulta, i shopped their sale, their spring sale and i initially went because i wanted Curly hair products, specifically because tjn one of my favorite curly hair brands, was having a seven dollar sale on some of their products, but since those weren't there i wandered over to the makeup and i got some stuff. I got some skincare and these two things i actually already tried last night. I repackaged them to show you guys, but this is the skin renewing gel oil from cerave. It is like magic and also i got this daily eye cream. It'S a hydrating eye cream, which i was in dire need of because i swear. I have like eczema on my eyelid and under my eyes, and you can't obviously tell on camera, but it is so dry and like tight. And if i try to put makeup on it, it literally looks like a crusty mess, so i'm gon na go ahead and put this eye cream on first. This is actually from the brand 4th ray beauty. I'Ve never heard of them, but they have really cute packaging. Super clean and they had a hydrating one and i think, a brightening one, but i definitely needed the hydrating one. So this is super creamy. I did not expect it to be this creamy. I almost thought it was gon na be like a gel consistency, but i'm just using what's off the top of it right here and i'm gon na go ahead and apply that under my eyes i should have used my knuckle. Oh god, there we go these nails, not me struggling with these long ass nails. I actually did the apre method, but i haven't designed them or painted them yet because i did them late last night and i was so tired, so i'm probably do them honestly. Probably do them tomorrow because i have a little event event coming up this saturday and i want my nails done for. I honestly probably include that in this video um, but we'll see. So i look so weird, but i'm just using my knuckle to apply this because my nails are really sharp, but this is so creamy. It feels very, very nice on my skin and i put it on last night before bed and when i woke up this morning, it still felt really good even to the touch it felt like. I had just put product on my face, so i'm just brushing out my brows, i'm probably gon na put on a little bit of makeup as well. Probably just do brows and lashes because i do have my lab today, we're actually gon na be going to do. I have chocolate. Oh, i was just drinking a protein shake. I need to get my mustache down too, but i was saying i have my lab today, my environmental science class lab and we're going to be going to measure trees, so that should be fun. Next, i bought this dairy skin renewing gel oil. I also used this last night and i am literally in love with it. I love everything celery for my face. I'Ve been using their moisturizer for years as well as their face, washes like different versions of them. I'Ve been using them. I trust therapy, with my face, i'm very, very picky, with products that i put on my face because my skin is very sensitive and i went through that whole acne thing and i just do not trust anything, but i always feel like. I can trust cerave products and they always come through. So this is what it looks like outside of the package super cute, but the inconsistency of it is just so nice, it's literally like a jelly, but it's super hydrating and i just put it on my skin. It literally makes your skin look so dewy, and it feels amazing, i'm also just going to go in on top of that with a little bit of my moisturizing cream and just put that on my skin as well. I didn't get this from ulta, but i've been loving using this. I think it's called a gua sha. I'M probably saying that wrong, but i love it. I don't even know if i'm using it right, but it feels really good. So i have this little retirement party to go to this weekend for one of my old jrotc instructors. I hope it's fine. I feel like it's gon na kind of feel like a high school reunion, but it's gon na be a bunch of different classes. So there's gon na be a bunch of people that i don't even know and i'll probably only hang out and talk to like five people. But but it should be fun either way and it's an opportunity to see my best friend who's flying in from colorado. And my other friend genesis, who has a youtube channel if you want to follow her, follow her genesis, maria but she's, coming from uh arizona, so i'm excited to see them and i'm struggling with what i'm gon na wear and what i'm going to do. My hair, like literally the struggle, is real right now because i had it in my head what i was gon na wear, which was just this dress. I had in my closet. Wasn'T gon na spend money blah blah blah, but then, as the day gets closer i'm like do. I really want to wear this, and now i'm like stressing out i'm about to go back to the store again today to see if i can find something, or at least a pair of shoes, because i feel like i don't have shoes to go with a dress And i don't know how to do my hair and first what problems girl problems. I know. Okay, i'm going to show you guys everything else that i got from ulta, it's mostly just makeup stuff that i wanted to use, or i needed for this little party that i'm gon na go to, but i had to re-up on my setting powder. I used to use the milk makeup one. I actually have it right here. I'Ve been using this one for years. Honestly, it probably expired like two years ago. I had it forever, but i got this one from colourpop and it was only seven dollars. I believe on sale, i got the caramel one, which was the tan version. They had a banana one, a translucent one in the caramel, and hopefully the caramel is not like too dark. It doesn't seem that dark. I feel like it'll, give me a little bit of color if anything, because i don't use any like makeup, i don't use foundation so then i just got a little real techniques, sponge and i got some lashes which i'm really excited about, especially to try this lash Glue liner thing i seen monica from monica style muse share this on her instagram and it literally looks like it's going to make applying lashes so easy, and i struggle with trying to put lashes on that's why i never wear them, but i always wanted to, and Then i got a new mascara because i'm running out of my maybelline one, but this one is from essence and it's the false lash effect. So i feel like it should be similar to the one that i have yeah, because the maybelline one i have is the falsies lash lift and i really like it. So hopefully it's similar and then lastly, i just got a new lip liner. Another brown color this one's like a little bit lighter than the one that i usually get, but this one is called free spirit, so i'm gon na try that today, probably i'm gon na go ahead and start doing. My makeup, like i said, i'm just gon na, do some brows and lashes, and i want to try that new mascara that i got per usual, i'm just using my milani weekend. Brow, i'm gon na use the rest of this eyebrow gel, there's, like literally nothing in here, i'm gon na curl my lashes and use this new mascara that i got see how it works. Okay and then i'm gon na go in with this lip liner from nyx. I think i said this one was called free spirit, so let's see how it looks. On the back of my hand, it's definitely more like pinkish nude. I usually use like a brown like this, but i want to just try a lighter lip liner. So, let's see i don't know if i like it, because i feel like it's too similar to my lip color and i, like my lip liner, to look darker than my lip color. I don't know if i like that, but i'm gon na go in with my lip gloss. This is also from nyx. This is the juice gloss and that's it for today's look very simple, very clean, very minimal, very basic, but i have to finish packing because the party is actually in pennsylvania, so i'm going to be going to pennsylvania today i want to leave virginia right after my Class, so i want to pack everything in my car before i leave so yeah. I got to pack my nail stuff because i'm going to be doing my mom's nails and i'll probably show you guys that as well, i'm also going to be finishing my nails over there i'll show you guys that and yeah. So let me go ahead and finish packing and i'll see you guys a little bit okay. I really do not know why i'm like this. I do not know how to pack light. This is a three-day weekend trip and i have all these bags. I literally might as well have packed a suitcase, because i have like clothes in here. I have hair stuff and skin skincare stuff in there and in here i have shoes on top of there, but i also bring in my extensions because i might put them in if i can dye them. I have all my nail stuff in this black container and then i'm being extra and like brought my own food, because i just did groceries. Actually, i'm not being extra, i'm being smart and responsible by bringing my own little snacks and food that i literally just bought, and i don't want them to go to waste while i'm gone so yeah, i'm pretty much all packed and ready to go. I feel like i'm probably gon na end up missing something, but it's already 10 30 and my class starts at 11, so i'm gon na head over there we're gon na meet. I like some little park, like i said we're gon na be measuring trees. So i have to drive somewhere different today, but i'm gon na load all this stuff in my car and i'll see you guys later i might record while i'm at the park. I don't know, but i'll see you guys in a little bit my gosh, that's literally how my day is going right now, okay, i finished my lab. It took longer than i thought, and it was so hot outside, but i'm glad that's over and then i just went to the mall to try and see if i could find an outfit for like one last time i have an outfit that i brought with me That i'm probably going to end up wearing, but i just really don't want to wear it. So i went one more time to see if i could find something and i'll probably insert video as i'm talking about all the things that i tried on, like literally it was such a fail. I ended up buying. I did end up buying one dress, but i don't really know i'll show you guys both of them and like obviously, you guys won't even be able to help me choose, but you'll see the options that i'm debating on so yeah. I feel like very flustered, and on top of that, my thumb already popped off and this pinky or this pointy finger is loose and yeah. I need starbucks, i'm gon na go to starbucks happy friday. It is the next day i am in pennsylvania. I think the last thing i filmed was me getting starbucks, but i'm in pennsylvania, um and yeah. I'M gon na do my mom's nose. I'M gon na show you guys that she's on her way so i'll show you guys how i do her nails. She wants the little blooming roses that i did on my nails, so it should be super easy because it's something i've already done, i'm out of breath from walking upstairs my room is a mess, my pajamas but um yeah. I ended up going to target earlier and i got this little. I always buy these like little random t-shirts from target, but this one was on the clearance section for two dollars: two dollars and fifty cents. So i don't know if it's because of the color or what, but i thought it and then i got myself a little faja thing to put under my dress for tomorrow. I'M also still stressing about what i want to do to my hair, because i did want to leave it naturally curly, but also, i only wanted to leave it curly. If i had my extensions so so these curly hair extensions are the one that i showed you guys a few weeks ago in a video, they are a tad bit darker than my natural hair. I feel like you can even see it right now. I did mention that in the video and like for the video and for pictures, they didn't really look that bad, but i feel like in person. You can really tell the difference more, so i don't want to wear them like this, so i bought hair dye to try to dye them myself. So i bought these hair dyes from sally. These are the high color browns for dark hair. Only - and this is like almost a black brown and i feel like my hair - is definitely more on the cool side, so i picked this shade called the coolest brown and the little hair tab at sally's. Look like it matched my hair, but the thing is i'm like: is it really going to lighten these up to match my hair or like? Is it going to make any difference? These are made too light and dark hair. So i have a little bit of hope. I also thought about like dyeing my hair black, to match these, but i'm like - i really should not do that. Just for one night like so fingers crossed that it actually works, i'm gon na do that a little bit later after i'm done doing my mom's nails. Oh okay, guys, i just finished doing my mom's nails. My hair is looking crazy. I'Ve been looking like a bum all day, but i'm about to start dyeing my extensions. I got everything i need here. I got two of the hair dyes, the 30 developer. I'M going to be using some gloves. Hopefully i do not ruin my nails. I got a little mixing thing in the bowl and it's going to be hard since obviously they're not on my head, i'm just going to have to like lay them out and i'm going to ruin this towel. So i'm gon na be buying my sister a new towel, because this towel is gon na be trash after i'm done, and hopefully this works out. Fingers crossed okay. So i finished dyeing these. I guess, like i was running out of dye, so i was trying to just use the dye from the other pieces to mix on the last few pieces, but there's like so much heat coming out of this ball of hair right now. So i mean i guess that means it's working and yeah. I hope i didn't ruin these extensions and then i don't know whether to keep them bald up like this, or should i separate them, i don't know i don't know, i don't know. I really really hope that this actually lightens them, though, because i really want to wear them tomorrow, and i really hope more than anything that the curl pattern remains the same, because i am using a permanent hair dye and i hope it doesn't ruin it. Okay, i finished one hand of nails. I actually did this jade design and i have a video of this on my channel. I did it like almost a year ago, um not my best work, but it's really late, i'm so tired. I didn't even do this hand yet i'm debating. If i want to stay up to do it. I have a mess right here. Like look at this mess, i have a huge mess on the table, but um yeah, i'm debating. If i want to stay up to, do my other hand right now, because, as you guys can see, i'm so tired. Are you making a video mm-hmm good morning guys it's the next day and i just did a little scalp treatment and i'm asking my hair because i'm gon na be washing my hair a little bit later, i'm busy, sir so yeah, i'm just prepping my hair before I wash it a little bit later. I did my skincare this morning. I have a freaking pimple, of course, the day that i have somewhere to go. I get a pimple why i wanted to show you guys what the extensions look like and now that there's some daylight and some bright light, you can actually see the color. I definitely didn't dye them evenly because, as you guys can see on camera, there's like some pieces that are still darker than the others like this one. You can really tell, especially at the root that it lightened and then towards the end. I feel like it's still kind of dark, so i don't know really what i did. Obviously, i'm not a professional, but i feel like it lightened up a little bit and it'll match my natural hair just a little bit better than it did before. So i am 100 going to be putting these on my hair today, i'm so excited because i love the way these extensions look on my hair and yeah i'll probably show you guys once i have them in later, but as of now, i still look like this. I had the mask in my hair for like four hours now i better go wash my hair and i need to style my hair and i'll probably show you guys that, but then i think i'm actually going to do a separate, get ready with me. Video, like a full, get ready with me video so that i can have another video have more content. I just got off the shower. I washed my hair and i'm going to start styling it i'm going to be using my innate life, leave-in conditioner, my wee dad climate control gel, even though more than half of the bottle spilled all over my bag. I literally have the tiny bit left the tiniest bit left in here, so i'm probably going to use the rest of it, which i'm really sad, because this is expensive and i really liked it and then i'm also going to use my tjn mousse. I am going for volume today, so these are all pretty lightweight products and yeah. My hair needs to dry and be voluminous on day one. So these are the products that i like to use for that and if you see me chewing throughout the video it's because i'm eating a pretzel first, i got ta find something to watch. I'Ve been loving watching like the analytical, deep dives on youtube right now i was watching one about britney spears and all her different arrows. It was like a two hour video, i'm gon na finish it right now. This girl's channel is called mila tequila and right now, i'm watching her video, the arrows of an icon, britney spears, it's literally a two-hour video. She did so much research and i love these little deep dives. I also really like salem tovar. I love her videos. I just like those like video essay type of videos pick up with justin the divorce from kevin shaving. Her head regrets, fame, paparazzi, there's even lin-manuel miranda. All of that you can see from watching the film okay, so my hair is styled, i'm obviously going to let it dry. Before i put my extensions in and i'm pretty sure i am going to do a separate video for a get ready with me. So this is going to be the end of this video. Thank you guys so much for watching.
