Tutorial | Dutch Pigtails + How To Put In Extensions For Pigtails!!

Hey guys!!! Today's video is a tutorial on how I do my Dutch pigtails I always wear! You have to put extensions in a certain way so I am showing you how I put mine in for this style! xo

Hey guys today, I'm showing you how to do these Dutch pigtails and specifically how to put in your extensions for them so to start you're, just gon na split your hair down the middle and right now I have no extensions in so to hide the extensions you're. Just gon na make a half circle shape above your ear, so you can see how I have mine there. It doesn't need to be perfect, but you get the idea and the closer to the ear the better. Then I'm just clipping it up with these colored chalk. Clips from Sally Beauty, Supply and then you're going to take your extension, weft and you're gon na want one with three clips on it or one about this link and then you're, just gon na clip them along the part line and because the weft is so long. You'Re gon na have some looping going on in the West. You can kind of see I'm pointing it out here, and that is totally fine because, as you do, your pigtail it'll kind of like lay flat and it won't show and if it is showing you can always clip it down later so then you're just gon na Do the same thing on the other side and clip your extension, the exact same way, I'm using Euronext extensions from Sally Beauty. These are 18 inch, extensions and they're, of course, human hair. You definitely don't want to get extensions that are not human hair and then mine are in the color blonde Frost. Then I'm just taking my brush, which was actually really gross. It'S like filled with hair, so don't pay attention to that, but it makes it a lot easier if your hair is completely tangle, free when you're doing braids and then you're just going to take three small sections and, like I said these are Dutch pigtails, so you're Going to be taking the outside sections and crossing them, underneath the middle section you're just gon na keep going with the braids angling it backwards. So it kind of angles towards the back of your head and you just keep doing a Dutch braid until you get to the bottom of your hair or close to the bottom of your hair. When you get to the bottom before you tie it off with the rubber band, you're gon na want to pull it apart and make it as big as you want. I sometimes think this is cuter a little bit smaller, so I don't pull it apart too much then I just used a clear elastic from Sally Beauty to tie it up and I made sure no extensions were showing and if you are good, then you can move On to the next side, when you're done with your braids, if any extensions happen to be showing, you can either pull apart your braid more and have the loop of the braid kind of cover it up or you can just fold it down and bobby, pin it In place, then, when you're all done, you're gon na want to make sure your pigtails are even so just hold them up next to each other and then adjust the rubberband so they're even and then you are all done.
