$150 Kinky Twist Lace Frontal Wig?! By Sofaj_Hair | Cassiethatgirl

Hey guys, what's up welcome back to my channel, today's video is going to be a little bit different, I'm trying my first ever braided wig. I have this kinky twist wig from solfege hair and I'm so excited to share it with you guys. So if you guys want to hear my thoughts and opinions - and I will show you how I styled this unit - let's go ahead and get started, I'm back and I'm done styling and laying down this wig. Initially, I was gon na try to wear glueless because, with the adjustable band that you do get with this unit, it does make it very snug and the lace lays extremely flat. I definitely think that before I wear this wig another time, especially if I'm going to go outside and like out and about I'm definitely going to bleach the knots beforehand, just so that the hairline it looks very seamless now this week did come with baby hairs, and I chose them to be sparse cuz. I knew I was not about to be playing with no baby hairs like I can't even do my own. I ended up just cutting them off because they were just way too long and I didn't want to go through and pluck them, and I kind of already done my edges prior to putting this wig on. So I was like you know what I'm just gon na use, my own edges and that'll be fine. This wig does fit my head like a glove, but because I did go ahead and cut the baby hairs off. I do have my edges out on both sides. I'M not mad about having my edges out because of the style that this wig is in. If it were some very neat box braids, I probably would want my edges to be concealed and the entire front, be, very, you know uniform looking, but these are kinky twists. They'Re not meant to be perfect, so I feel like it's kind of just fitting, to have my curly edges out. I just think it like gives me this type of like vibe and I'm here for it. You don't know thing. So I really really like how this looks initially, I heard of this company through Nene aka, Queen the mindset here on YouTube. She does amazing wig videos and she had featured, I think, one or two units from this company and they looked so so good, and then I saw my girl shanshan dozen 101. She reviewed a unit from them as well, and I was like you know what I really wanted to try a braided wig, I'm not too big on the cornrow styles cuz. I just don't know how they would look on me cuz. I don't love my hair corne room. To be honest, she offers so many really pretty styles and when I saw the kinky twist I was like that's what I want and initially I thought I was gon na - go with some box braids or something like faux locs or something like that. But when I saw the kinky twist I was like boom because I love the way twists. Look I just to us. I think they left to us more than braids anyways we're going off on a tangent. The way that this wing is constructed was a little bit different than I anticipated you do, get your lace, frontal and everything is like hand braided. They actually start off as braids for about an inch, and then they go into the twist, which I don't mind cuz. I just think it looks more natural because I know a lot of a naturally says out there - that's kind of how they do their kinky twists, because it just holds better at the root. The frontal is sewn on to a wig cap like how you would make a wig at home, and I wasn't expecting that. I don't know what I was expecting, but I just wasn't expecting to see a wig cap and each twist is kind of like sewn onto the cap. They'Re sparse, but not too sparse, where you're going to see any gaps. This wig is very full. It'S not heavy, but it is a little bit thick and especially given the length that I have it's a little bit hot on my neck. I'M not gon na lie, but I'm not mad at it, because it is a very wearable length. I think I have it in 12 inches if I'm not mistaken, so I have like a bunch of little hairs. All over my shirt, like you guys saw this wig does come with an elastic band sewn into the cap and it is adjustable. So you get that little like bra, strap clasp, but with it you can adjust it to a different tightness. I have it on the least tight setting setting. I really love the color that I got. I have the one B, slash 33 ombre. If I'm not mistaken, like I said everything will be in the description box below, I just really wanted this 30 color, because I thought it would be a nice like spring/summer transition. It'S not super dark, but it's also not like bright in your face. Like a 27. Would be I really like this color? I think it looks very, very natural. I think the twists are as neat as they can be for kinky twists, like I said it's not supposed to be like a super uniform look which I like, I kind of like the more like messy bohemian vibe, and that's just like my style. So I'm loving the way that the twist looked and, like I said I wasn't mad about them being braided for like the first inch, maybe maybe like half an inch. Sorry if the lighting is being kind of weird the Sun is going down. I just saw a duck going to the pond. Let'S so cute we've like so many ducks. Let'S go ahead and talk about the price point, because I know that the cost of braided wigs is one of the main factors and whether or not you guys are purchasing them because believe me, I feel the same way we have seen so many braided wigs here On YouTube and on Instagram and some of them can get pretty pricey now I will say there are synthetic brands that offer braided units. I feature two on my channel and if you guys didn't see that video I'm gon na save you the 15 minutes or, however long that video was and tell you, it was trashed. Okay, I'm just gon na. Let y'all know, obviously the more that you spend the higher quality you're going to get with your wigs. That'S just that across the board. I really can't get around it, but if you want something, that's affordable not going to break the bank and looks really really natural. This is a great company to purchase from. She is the sweetest person, she's always like liking my posts on Instagram, and I just think it's really cute and I'm always watching her stories looking to see what new wigs she's about to drop and she has one named Cassie. And if you think that I'm gon na let her name a wig after me - and I don't get it I'll, get it this week that I have it costs one hundred and fifty one dollars that includes shipping. So if you live somewhere else is shipping may vary and your price may go up or down, but there's the ballpark. This would cost one hundred and fifty dollars. I think that that is a great price. Considering how this unit looks the customer service that you get and how quick it got to me, I think I got the email that it shipped on the 20th, and I had this wig the 25th, and that was through DHL. I know she is based out of Nigeria. She communicates a lot. She sent me a picture before she shipped out the unit to make sure that it was to my liking, and I really appreciated that. So I think that you guys would be super happy and pleased with your customer service experience and your ordering process. Now, I'm not sure if that's just from the wig being in transit and how it was packaged. Or you know, if that's just the hair and the quality but trying to mold it as a right side part. I did have to take my blow dryer and kind of like flatten these out, because the way that they were braided they wanted to fall in this direction. So I just took my blow dryer on high, and I just kind of like stuck it right here to flatten it out, so that it would lay the way that I wanted to. I do also really like this size of these twists. I, like that they're small and more on the petite side than chunky. I love me some chunky twists, but for this look and it being a bob, I was like you know what I think some really cute like tiny twists would be really really cute. This is the longest length that she offers with the kinky twists. There is a shorter length, but because I'm so tall I didn't want to do that because I didn't want it like up by my chin, but I do love that it kind of sits right at my shoulders. Overall, I am really happy with this wig. I feel like I'm a little bit scatterbrained because I have it recorded in a while.
