Hello, my olives welcome back to my channel today. I'M going to take you through all my curly hairstyles. I get a lot of questions on specific styles, so i thought i'd go through every style that i've done. I did a curly hairstyles video, i think last year or the year before, and my hair is a lot shorter then so i thought i'd do an updated one. So hopefully i'm not too repetitive to that last video, but some of you might be new here. So i thought i'd just go over everything. Make sure you like this video and subscribe. It means so much to me. Let'S get into the hairstyles this first one is currently my most requested one to do, and it's super super easy. This is a half up. Half down hairstyle, i used to do this when i had straight hair when i straightened my hair all the time, but it works for curly, hair too. I think with curls. You want to keep it messy, because if you start to brush back your hair, if you start to touch it too much you're going to lose the curls, you just need an elastic or you could use a scrunchie basically grab as much hair as you want to Tie up so i kind of grab my top layers that are just above my ears, just whatever looks good to you and your haircut, it doesn't have to be like a neat line. I think it's better if it's messy, but basically i just tie a little ponytail with that elastic at the top of my head, so that ponytail is tied and then i just kind of fluff up the roots. So it's not too tight and that's how i do that style. So easy. You can also tie the front bits back or if you don't have bangs, you can just go straight back and tie that into the ponytail as well, and that's still and that's still a cute style. You can also use a scrunchie instead of an elastic. So if i had a pink outfit on that'd be really cute, you can like match your scrunchie to your outfit. I also find that when you use a scrunchie that gives your ponytail some extra volume, it helps make. It stand up a bit more and also for those days where you're struggling with volume in general. This will give you an extra volume boost and you don't have to worry about, like fluffing your hair up constantly to get that volume, i'm gon na show you some accessories that are great for creating cute curly hairstyles. Let'S start off with a scarf, so i have a few scarves, maybe like five or six different colors different patterns and they're all square shape, which is what you want for these styles they're around 90 centimeters by 90 centimeters. I think anywhere around that i think, is good for these styles i'll show you the bandana hairstyle. So i'm going to start by folding this in half into a triangle and then i'm going to tie the ends around my neck and i'm just going to flip my hair over trying the ends so once the ends are tied. You'Re just gon na pull the scarf back and then you can loosen it a bit, so it doesn't look too tight. Then i just like to pull out these front bits and that's all you have to do. I get my scarves from ebay, h, m um. I believe this was a gift from someone and i can't remember but yeah it's also a nice protective style. If it's raining, if you want to kind of protect the base of your curls, you don't want them to get frizzy, then this will do the job and it's also beneficial if your scarf is like a silky satin material, because that will glide easily on the hair And it won't like pull at your hair along with head scarves. Headbands are really fun to use when you have kelly hair. These are from princess polly. I like them, because they're nice and wide and thick, but i also have ones that are like half this size. I got a lot of questions about this brown one, but i basically just like to wear them like this. It'S good because it keeps the hair out of your face, but you still look stylish. I also wear them when my hair is tied up, so i'm just using an elastic. You can tie up your hair and like leave little dangling bits, and i just tie like a loose ponytail. This is also good when your curls are more frizzy. If you haven't washed them in a while it kind of covers any greasiness or frizziness clips are another a great accessory for curls. I got a pack of these from factory. I think cod non sells them and ebay these white ones. I tend to use a lot. They'Re from cotton on, but i basically just like to add them to the front of my hair and i just fluff up the curls super simple and easy so for my high ponytail, slash, bun i'll either use a plain elastic or a scrunchie. I like using these silk scrunchies from mum silk. I'M sure a lot of you have seen this tutorial because i've posted it on all my channels, but basically for this style, just tie my hair up into a ponytail. My ponytail just stays there. I know a lot of you ask how i get it to stay there, but i think it's just the thickness and nature of my hair. I have really dry kind of coarse hair and it just stays up there all day. Sorry, if you can hear those dogs, barking and yeah, this is my go-to hairstyle, like just an everyday hairstyle. I also just slick back my front bit sometimes the other night i kind of did a low ponytail, which is something kind of new for me. But i feel like it's at a good length now to do that and i just do the same thing and tie a ponytail. So i just move that ponytail to the back of my head and then i have these bits out. You can like put one behind your ear and that's another cute low ponytail style, moving my hair to the bottom kind of makes the ponytail look longer. So it's exciting that it's starting to look more like a ponytail than a bun but yeah. As i said, you don't want to be too neat with curls. You want to kind of, let them breathe and do their things. So sometimes i like to do space buns, that's usually when my curls are not looking good and i want to slick my hair back into like two little tight buns, but i want to show you this messy style of space buns. So again it doesn't have to be super neat. I just use my finger to kind of part, my hair all the way through the middle, and then i get the first half so i've got that section. I grab it at the base, twirl it around and around so that i've got like a loose bun like that, and then i just use an elastic to tie that bun into place, and then you want to pull at it. So like little curls stick out and then do the same for the other side and they have some cute messy space, buns they're, probably a bit big for my liking. I kind of look like a little mouse but yeah. I love space buns. So that's the first section of this video i'm going to wait until my curls are not nice and all frizzy, and then i'll show you hairstyles, where i have to slick it back brush. It back add gel all those kind of slicked hairstyles that you see me doing so i'll be back to show you them soon. Alright guys it's the next day - and i put my sleeping cap on last night, but i think it fell off pretty early on the night, because my curls didn't really hold that well, they're still pretty good. But for the sake of this video i'm going to brush them back, let's get into my sleek curly bun, which was the high ponytail that i showed you before, but a slick version so i'll show you everything i use for these slick looks first, you need a Spray bottle of something whether it's just water or a conditioning spray. This is the rice coat rice, water and coconut fruit, refresher from curls - and this is my go-to for all these updos. It doesn't make my hair greasy, even though i'm putting it all over. My scalp smells good and yeah, i just like it. Then you will need some gel. This doesn't have to be a curl gel. It can be any kind of styling gel. That'S not going to make your scalp greasy. I use the curl boss, coconut curling, jelly from from aunt jackie's. The three brushes i use is an old toothbrush, a slim comb, and then you can use any brush that you have. This is the evo paddle brush. So first i dampen my scalp. Then i'm going to put a thin layer of gel just on my scalp and then i also brush it along the back of my head like this, then i start brushing back my hair to where i'm going to tie it also going to spray the back of My head: it's all about getting rid of all the big bumps so that it's really nice like fun and then i'm going to go over it with this combed. This helps to get any of the little bumps out and again, i'm not brushing all the way to the end of my hair, i'm just brushing to like, where i'm going to tie the curls, then once you've gotten all the bumps out just use a simple elastic To tie your ponytail, then i'm going to add a scrunchie just for extra support and to make it extra tight. The hairspray i use is the schwarzkopf strong, styling hairspray. This is the one i use currently i'm just using a bobby pin to pin back the little baby hairs at the back of my head that tend to like fall out so that so that's holding them in place. Lastly, i'm just getting this toothbrush and dipping it in the gel, and i have quite long baby hairs. So i just use this method to kind of slick them back into the hairdo. It makes it look more neat kind of i kind of brush them back like this and then do some slow strokes to make them flow into the hairstyle. Also, these hairs in front of my ears tend to like poke out, so i make sure i gel those back and you can also go any little hairs that are sticking up along your scalp. You can brush them down and that's how i do my slicked back. Ponytail, you can also do different variations of this technique. Like you, don't have to tie it up here. You could tie the ponytail in the middle or lower it's a great everyday look, and it's also good for more formal looks. You can also use little butterfly clips like these, which i'm sure you've seen on my instagram and tick tock. I just spread them out around my scalp. I feel like it's such a cute, 90s kind of fairy vibe. Let me know if you guys are going to try out this look. Let'S move on to the next one, all right for the next style, i'm going to do a middle part, slicked back low, curly ponytail and follow the previous steps that i did for the previous style in terms of applying those products. But i'm not going to apply any more because my hair will get like too greasy. I'Ve already got gel and everything in there. First, you want to get a comb any comb and then decide where you want your part, whether it's like more on the side or in the middle i'm going to go slightly to the left of the middle. Then, after you've sprayed all your products and put gel you're just going to brush your hair, not all the way to the ends, because you want to keep the curls for the ponytail, but just brush them along your scalp. I'M just going to add a bit more of this spray, then get a plain elastic and once you think, you've gotten all the bumps out just tie your ponytail and i'm adding a scrunchie again just for extra tightness and just like before. If you have any baby hairs that you want to gel back with your toothbrush, that will make the look look, even more slick and that's how i do my slicked back low pony with the middle part compared to the first curly styles. This one probably takes a bit more effort in terms of brushes and products and make sure to put a lot of hairspray if you want it to last throughout the day now i know for the next one: it's not really a curly hairstyle, because i'm covering up My natural curls, i thought i'd - include this one, though, because i get a lot of questions about how i do my straight ponytail looks and i have a few extensions, ponytail extensions from insert name here. They have really nice synthetic pieces and sometimes it's just fun to change up your look and rock the straight hair. Look. So i've got this pony from insert name here and i'm just brushing her out and it's actually pretty easy to apply these. So if you have any ponytail any brand and it's that wrap around design, then you can follow this tutorial as well. So i just need to take out this scrunchie so once you've tied this up with a plain elastic, you're gon na wrap your ponytail around and around show you from the back just wrap it around, and i try to keep the bun as flat as possible to My head, so i'm kind of pushing it against my head, as i use another elastic to tie a bun. If you can see that the ponytail has a clip there - and i am clipping that on top right on top of my bun, so that it's kind of sitting on top of that bun, then i'm getting that piece there and wrapping it around the base of that Bun then, you just need a bobby pin to pin down that wrap piece and secure it in place. So the flatter your bun or if you want to leave your hair out in a ponytail and straighten it, the more flowing and real it will look yeah. That'S how i did that low pony in some of my recent posts on instagram and tick tock. If you want your bangs out, you can leave them out and straighten them, but yeah. That'S how i apply my ponytails and sometimes i wear them up high. I hope this video gave you some inspiration on how to style your curls. I think i covered all the styles that i do, but if there is any others you want tutorials on. Let me know. Thank you so much for watching i'll see you very soon. Bye, bye,
