Welcome to my bedroom, you guys, i never film in my bedroom and i just feel a little a little crazy today. Today is a special day, my friends, because i'm getting my hair done, don't panic! My friends! We are t minus five hours. Okay, as you can see, our roots in the front are here, and it is time to get highlights. So i do get partial highlights right here in atlanta georgia and i will link the two stylists for highlighting and cutting that i recommend here in atlanta, georgia. One is in brookhaven and one is in sandy springs. Maybe you would consider it buckhead. Not only do i need to get highlights, but i need to get my hair cut. So when my hair starts to become kind of like all one length, it doesn't curl up as nicely as it normally does, and that's where i'm at right now, folks, now i walk you guys through the color that my hair stylist mixes up for me. I will link that video in the description box down below if you want to get a similar blonde hue. I do just want to preface by saying that i was born with white blonde hair and, as many of you know, with blonde hair, as you age, your blonde kind of turns to a dirty blonde. Often it will turn to a brown mine personally turn into a dirty blonde or really light brown uh, depending on how you look at it. So my hair does lighten very very easily because i am a natural blonde. So if you want to learn all about, my hair color be sure to check out that link in the description box down below, but today's video, my friends, is all about the cut. That'S right gal pal. We are headed to the salon together today. I'Ve gotten a lot of requests from you, guys, specifically on my instagram, be sure to check out my instagram. If you have not already um i've gotten a lot of requests over there to walk through my haircut in particular um and how my hairdresser cuts my hair to get nice volume while still maintaining the length and definition and all that jazz. So today is the day my friends, let's head to the salon, come on before diving into our haircut. I want to give a big thank you to scentbird for sponsoring the small portion of today's video. As many of you know, i have teamed up with scentbird in the past and will be continuing to work with them next month and hopefully months to come as well, because i genuinely love their products. Scentbird is a fragrance subscription service that allows you to pick from over 600 different brands, a different perfume each and every month, uh, and you get to pick it. So it's not a surprise every month as to what you're getting and it is truly a month supply. As opposed to just a little sample, so you get eight milliliters here compared to just under one milliliter. Here this month i've been wearing the rachel zoe warrior perfume. It has a lot of mandarin and magnolia. It'S just pretty and fresh. It'S very springy and i'm here for it another perfume i've been enjoying this month is from sicily, and i don't know how to pronounce the name, because it's too fancy for me, but i think it's i apologize. Its top notes are black currant and rose. They have amazing perfumes to choose from from prada to gucci to versace and all that jazz. I always keep a scent bird in my bag. I currently have the i think it's the dolce gabbana dolce gabbana light blue made in italy such a fabulous perfume. I'M actually going to put it on right now, i'm just going to smell like 10 000 perfumes, if you are interested in checking out senford, be sure to use my coupon code down below to get 30 off. I genuinely love scentbird and it's really been helping me to not have a graveyard of perfumes, where i don't actually like any of them. First things. First, i personally get a wet cut. I know i know controversial so while i personally decide to get wet cuts, if a dry cut is your thing honey? I am not here to convince you otherwise, but i do understand it is a little bit controversial. So do what you got ta do baby boo. Okay, so for me, as i said, i get a wet cut and um. First she highlights my hair and then we wash it out tone it blah blah blah first joanne begins to tangle my hair, and then she cuts my hair first. In a blunt cut, all the way across right, whatever, depending on the length that i'm looking for that day, but she does do a blunt cut all the way across to begin next. Moving on to the layers - and i do have layers - and i recommend layers, if you want volume in your hair, if you take a look at mochi's hair, even mochi has some layers to get that to get his little fluff in action. So layers are great if you're looking for volume, if you have hair, that is on the thinner side, you don't want to have choppy layers throughout your hairdresser will understand that it can just make your hair look really thin, and that is the opposite of what you Want, but if you do some nice subtle layers throughout it's not going to make your hair look thinner if anything it'll make it look thicker and healthier next joanne cuts my layers in a point cut. That is the word she used to recommend to your stylist. The point cut essentially adds texture which helps with volume. She does a lot of middle parting. While she does my hair and just kind of like pulls the pieces up, whatever falls lets it fall and then point cuts the top of the layers. Then she slide cuts. The front uh just to get my face framing pieces so that it's not just all one length and i can have some nice, like volume and texture in the front. I feel like that's where my hair really curls up the nicest in the front um and it's i'm sure in part because of that classic slide front cut. Another tip that i have, if you are trying to find for the first time a hairdresser to cut your wavy, curly or coily hair, is to find someone with hair similar to yours. It'S just like with anything in life. It'S just common sense. If you have coily hair, your hairdresser has coily hair she's, going to understand your hair, better she's, probably going to know the ins and outs of struggles with your hair type in particular. So, like my hairdresser, for example, has wavy and curly hair go figure and it works out beautifully for me personally, whereas i have heard a lot of unfortunate horror stories. One girl messaged me saying that she went to have someone cut her hair and she didn't like. I guess know about shrinkage in your hair and then her hair was like four inches shorter than she was anticipating, because the hairdresser didn't consider the shrinkage, and you know that would never be a problem that would happen with a curly hair stylist, but i'm in no Means trying to say that if someone has straight hair, they cannot possibly properly cut curly hair, it's just the odds are more likely in your favor. You know what i'm saying you know what i'm saying. I also recommend, when you go to the hair salon, to take a picture of the type of like cut and style that you are envisioning for yourself, but also to have realistic expectations. Right so i mean i could take my hairdresser a picture of aisha spicha on instagram. Her hair, like my hair, is never gon na. Have perfect spirals like that all the way around my head, so she can do whatever she wants to my hair, but it is not ever gon na. Look like that. So, while bringing in a picture can be really helpful, try your hardest to bring in a picture of someone that maybe has similar hair density to you, similar hair texture to you and all that jazz. That is a wrap on today's video. I know it was kind of short and to the point, but i just wanted to make a video all about haircuts and my hair cut in particular. So i truly hope that this video was helpful for you to see uh kind of the behind the scenes of her literally cutting my hair and all the terminology that she used so that you can talk to your stylist about what type of cut would be best For you and biggest of thank yous once again to senford for sponsoring today's video, please be sure, to check out the link in my description box down below with that coupon code for 30 off of your order of scentbird here today, so yeah. Thank you. So so very much for watching. I truly love you guys, i hope you're having an amazing amazing day and a great upcoming weekend. Alright, until next time i'll see you soon bye, y'all

lenaxox: what perfect timing! i was just wondering what haircut to get for an appointment on saturday

M&M: I’m 72 and my hair is naturally platinum blond. Picture Marilyn Monroe. Yes, a blessing from above!

Ann: Perfect timing!! I have a curly haircut next month (she books up fast, so I had to wait a while). It’ll be my second curly haircut I’ve ever gotten, I’m excited!

Camila Lebron: You made this video at the perfect time because I am getting my hair done for the very first time! Thank you so much❤️

Raynah Woolsey: Girl you are so close to 400K I’m so excited for you. Been here since your second video.

EmStreet Lee: You are so beautiful and your hair looks absolutely gorgeous!! You should totally do an everyday makeup tutorial!!

Mel S: When I realized my daughter had ringlets, I was so happy that my husband's aunt is a hair dresser. She's going to be retired and 95 years old still trimming my girls curls lol. So scary finding someone who can do what you ask that's for sure

Amber Noland: If you have wavy hair, you should either get it cut wet or straightened. So that however you wear it, it looks good. And be careful with cutting your layers or hair too short, because it may make your curls kinda disappear...some people with wavy hair, once you cut your hair, your waves/curls won't be long enough to do their thing, essentially. If you have spirals only at the end of your hair, and you cut it, those spirals may just disappear, not bounce up like you think they will, because they lost their "family." Just something to consider. Hope this helps!

Raquel Pujadas Domínguez: I've never gotten a professional dry hair cut, the closest to that was me cutting my bangs and some struggly pieces on my own, they've been always been wet cuts, but my stylist has very similar hair to me and I'd only trust her haha hope you have a great weekend too! Mine's gonna consist of watching an online metal festival which will last until Monday :)

Maritza H.: Omg PERFECT TIMING! I have 2B curly hair and it’s veryyyyy long. Too long for me because there’s no volume Sooo I’m trying to get a “Tori Kelly” cut tomorrow morning! I was trying to see if you had a video just like this earlier this week so that’s funny that you literally posted one now! thanks for your video!!!

Rhea: Have you ever thought about growing out your natural hair colour? Curious to see what it'd look like

femininechic: Didn't know I needed this video until I watched it,so glad I did as I have a haircut soon!btw you look gorgeous india!

Nicole Harmon: omg perfect timing!! getting my hair cut tomorrow! thanks <3

NorthEastCity: That was very helpful. Love love love this video!!! ♡ thanks girl!

Tina Melissa Torres: I wish I would have watched this video sooner. My hairstylist did multiple layers and texturized my hair with inner layers. So now my hair is ridiculously short and… worst of all - It looks like there are only threw strands of hair (okay, an exaggeration) but my hair looks so thin. Thankfully I am able to hold it in a bun until it grows out ☹️ Thank you India for these informative videos!

Natasha Rogers: Your makeup looks fabulous today!!! “Do what you got to do, baby boo” -India Batson Martinez 2021

Bincy Mathew: I watched the video twice. First for Mochi’s shenanigans and then actually paying attention to what you were saying! Thanks for sharing! I get my haircut tomorrow and I can’t wait! It’s been 6 months!

Arif Asgaralli: Loved the video! You are absolutely stunning ‘ Quick question though, when you say you get layers, what type of layers do you get? Long layers, medium length layers OR short layers ? Could you please let me know ? Thank you lovely !

Jaereen Maneja: Been waiting for this video girl! Thank you for this

Renee KH: You're the only person I've found who has EXACTLY the same texture hair as me, AND has the cut & style I want! I wish I could find someone in Texas that could cut like this . They all want to make me straight or try & get me super curly..... NOOOO!!!! I just want to be ME with MY hair!!!

Emily Taylor: I’m currently putting off getting my hair cut because I need to find a new stylist. This was helpful! (I’ve been cutting my hair myself this last year during COVID. But it would be nice to have a stylist I can trust.) Have a lovely weekend!

Kayla N: I hate haircuts. I don't brush my hair and when I get a haircut they cut it as if I wear my hair straight and combed. So it's looks even and nice when they're doing it at the salon, but not when I style it! I'll have hair underneath poking out so it looks super uneven because obviously my hair shrinks up into curls and waves. I've resorted to dry cuts because no matter what I tell hairstylists, they don't listen. Sigh.

MamaDiy: 2 seconds ago I was talking to a friend about getting my first layered cut And first curly hair cut . Super nervous I’m from savannah Georgia ❤️

Elizabeth Orsillo: I get wet cuts, too. When I was a baby, I had red/“strawberry blonde” hair and now I have filthy blonde hair (brown ) with silver highlights.

Nimedhel: I cut my hair myself. Have done so for 10 years now after the last straw of hairdressers not respecting the huuurrr and the wishes of their client. I wanted to keep the hair as long as possible, she cut it 30cm. I wanted my curls and waves respected, and they wanted to *gasp* straighten the hair and they just blow-dried it and did a brushing and so I ended with 0 waves or curls for the next two days and my hair was the shortest it had been since I was like 14? I was NOT happy. I cut my hair with the hair tie method and on dampish hair too and it looks GOOD. I will never put another foot in a salon. Nothing against hairdressers, because there are a lot of good ones out there, but I'm not paying 25€ min. to get a haircut I can do myself, where I have 100% control and using the products I wanna use.

Rachel W: I’ve been WAITING for this video!!!! Ugh thank u!

April B.: I get my haircut as a wet cut and prefer this to the dry haircut because my layers are much more even and consistent. I find that my layers are very uneven with the dry haircut ‍♀️.

Berchy Zgb: What you said about shrinkage, that happened to me, though the girl who cut my hair that time isn't a hair stylist, she went to school for it but she probably didn't learn about curly hair, so she cut my hair, even wet was too short, and then, the shrinkage after three years I'm still trying to grow my hair how it was, and I need to cut it every few months and it's always the same length

Alegna LaVieenRose: My best friend is my hairdresser and she cuts my hubby’s curls as well. We both have the same curl type as you have and she cuts us wet as well and uses the same technique. She knows her stuff. I get weird looks for getting wet cuts too, but for both my husband and I it works too.

Alicia T: **brings in a picture of India** LOL but seriously thank you!! My hair is very similar to yours so this was soooo helpful :)

MEGANNE veccia: Omg!! I love your hair and all of your videos

SPARKLERIFIC: I needed this! Thank you :)

Miss Kay: When I was little my hair was white white from being out in the sun all the time but now it’s a golden blonde naturally. At my first job I had the nickname Rapunzel because of the natural color and length.

Jillian Phillips: yessss have been looking forward to this video for so long!!!!

Haley Smith: How do you avoid triangle volume? None on top and a lot at the mid/ends. I struggle with volume on my roots i want it to look voluptuous throughout

Caitlin McCord: My stylist doesn’t have curly hair, but she’s a family friend who’s known me my entire life. She knows what my curls look like, and I’ve never had more shrinkage than I wanted. ☺️

Phoenyx: I needed this two days ago my hair will now live in a bun till it grows back

Crickett Hoffman: I started with platinum blond as a baby, went tow head, it went red and then dirty light brown. But. OMG it would sunbleach. Two days into summer and brassy bleach job beach hair. So I dyed it black. Got bored. Red! One day my stylist said, “You have a $300 shade of gray.” Guess who has gray waves. COVID meant I didn’t see a stylist for 18 months. My chin length bob is now a long long bob.

Isabel R: LOL I was like "why is her hair moving from side to side that way?!?! " but it was her dog's tail

Yörük Kızı Geziyor: Very beautiful

Renee KH: But for some questions: You did not show her entire process... Does she dry & style it for you? If yes, how? Also, it pretty much **looks like** she's just doing your basic wet long layers cut. Am I correct? Or is there something she does slightly different for someone who regularly blows straight as opposed to someone like yourself, who mostly wears it wavy-natural? I need to know what yo look & ask for.... I tried a very expensive Deva cut that is supposed to last @ least 4 months. I liked it @ first, but 6 weeks later it looks very uneven & I hate it. So now I'm on tbe hunt for something else....Please help me! Lol.

Nicole argueta: I so need this!!!

Danielle Hodgson: Great video as always India!!!!

Phoebe Tonkin: I never wanna stop seeing these videos India

STEVE P: It looks very beautiful.

DD Tuss: Had both wet and dry cuts. The only real difference is shrinkage. A wet cut can come out shorter sometimes. A good stylist should be able to cut your hair either way. I do think curly girls cut curls the best.

Anny Vitória: I loved Your vídeo. Have a nice weekend

Cool beans 😁: Thankyou very much ! god bless you ! And remember god loves you ! I hope you have a beautiful day!

Jacqui Brown: Why is a wet cut controversial?? Here in the UK it’s the norm

Anny Vitória: Your hair is sensational

Gather, Create, Live with Leslie H.: I know this is foreign to many people, but try some light trimming yourself when it's dry and fixed like you want it. Then expand on that a little at a time, stopping before you think and seeing how you like it. I've been cutting my own hair for 35 years and also have people ask me who I go too. It's not as hard as one would think and I save over a hundred and fifty dollars four times a year, coloring, cutting and highlighting myself. I can do it whenever I want and don't have to work around someone else schedule. It's very empowering and then I also get to buy a nice piece of jewelry or art supplies.

Anna Faye: Not everyone with natural blonde hair goes darker!

TaDahCosplay: "short and to the point" just like the cut

showThegLO: You resemble Adele! Beautiful. Okay hanks for the curly hair advice.

pheeno barbidoll: I would still swear on a stack of CGM books that you were from West Texas.

anny Vitória: Thanks for The tips. Happy Friday

Elizabeth Pritchard: This video your eyes are like

Kita: You’re from the south?! I thought you were from California, you don’t have a southern accent.

marcos gomes:

Jonathan Villalobos: Nice!

Marcie: That baby picture

anny Vitória: 7:01 I agree with you

Jazmin21: You’re definitely a brunette

Koi fishy: Wait you live in Atlanta? I do I hope I see you

Fleur Fleura: You look like the super star (Adel )

Kayla Michelle: India! I just moved to ATL from Utah! I never realized you lived here. Be my friend hehe

kz74: Why am I am not seeing the hair color video in the description box? Am I blind? Lol!

anny Vitória: India ❤

Ambar Perez: Got distracted by the cute doggy tail.

anny Vitória: 4:13 Mochi

Cetin Özden: Hello

Anny Vitória: Hello India
