Faux Hawk Curly Hair | Toddler Curly Hairstyles Girl | Defining Curls

To the end, where I will give you my three tips for defining the perfect hey. Welcome back to girls with the curls, where we share our curly hair tips, tricks and tutorials. If you are excited about this hairstyle make sure you slam that, like button below, let's get started step 1 is to start with damp detangled hair. You want to ensure that you are using a product, that's going to add plenty of moisture, add the water as needed, but also ensure that the hair is not too wet when hair is wet. It is more acceptable to damage and breakage. So step 2 go ahead and grab your favorite control gel. In this case, I will be using cream of nature with argan oil. I love this edging cream. I will go ahead and put a link in the description below add this all the way around the hairline, because when we do define the curls at the end of this video, we want to ensure that we are working with clean curls. The third step is to smooth that control gel in with a bristle brush. Now you want to continue working around the edges to pull back the hair smoothly. You want to have sleek ponytails, so continue to work that bristle brush through the hair. Now you may feel a little bit of clumps in the hair, while you're using a bristle brush so go ahead. Grab it the tangler brush and smooth out those bigger clumps that aren't quite getting down smoothly with the bristle brush. Then go back in with the bristle brush. Now you want to start to work the hair into the direction that it will go into the ponytail step 5 is to part the hair into separate sections. In this case, I will be using five sections for this faux hawk hairstyle. You can choose to use more or less, depending on what you prefer step. Six is to use a rat tail comb to part those sections you want to make these lines as smooth as possible. That'S why a rat tail comb is your best. Go to part the hair horizontally from one side to the other, ensure that you are making a straight line and you are landing on the same place of the face on each side. Step number seven is to add that extra edging gel around each part. Every time you make a line in this hairstyle, you want to control that hair with some more edging gel step. 8 is 2pi or click back the hair that you won't be tying up in the first ponytail now friends. I know we'd love to skip this step, but it's actually going to help you in creating that clean lines and clean lines make all the difference. So I am first using the detangling brush to comb everything in and then I'll go back in with the bristle brush. Just to get that sweet, ponytail. Look there you go. The second ponytail is in now. I will repeat this process three more times to complete the last three ponytails in this faux hawk hairstyle Andrey moisture as needed. Some of the curls are getting a little dry, so I just spritz as needed while doing this hairstyle. So you can see how there are four lines running through this hairstyle that created the five separate sections. All of the ponytails are straight down the middle from the top of the head back to the nave of the neck. Now, let's complete this hairstyle by defining those curls I'll, give you three tips on to defining the perfect curl. The first tip is to Rhea add that moisture back into those curls while manipulating the hairstyle, the curls got dried. They also retain gold around themselves. While I was doing these ponytails, so we want to go ahead and detangle and put that moisture back into the curls I'll start by finger detangling and follow that up with a detangling brush. Oh my gosh wait. Can we just pause for a minute here? I cannot get enough and I also want to show you the difference of the detangling brush curls versus the Denman brush. The Denman brush really works the product in so that all the curls are covered check these out this, these curls won't even go, and although the curls are coming out really straight, just and plop them up with your hand and the curl will just curl up. Naturally, right now, I'm just sectioning each of these sections off into smaller curls working with them, one at a time do your best not to pull up another curl while you're working on one single curl, because that's just gon na cause extra frizz at the end. My final tip for defining those curls is less manipulation, is better in this case. Less is more the more that you touch. These curls, the frizzier they'll get and the less defined they'll become so once you've run that defining brush through the curl plop it as needed. But after that, try not to touch it as much. I know with kids that can be difficult. They want to play with the hair and a lot of times. That'S why the front part of my child's hair becomes frizzier quicker than the back is because they are constantly touching it. So once these curls are defined, try not to over manipulate them. When you continue touching these curls, our hands will soak up the moisture, removing it from the hair. She is so cute in this hairstyle it's funky edgy, but also adorable.
