This is a medium length haircut with some wave and curl in it, leaving it longer to make sure it brings out those curls! It's a great haircut to practice foundational cutting. It's a classic haircut that will never go out of style!

Hello, everybody. Thank you guys so much for joining me in my channel. I get so many questions about long hair, so i just wanted to to show you how to do it. So i brought mike in - and he hasn't cut his hair for about six months, and so you can see as it grows out that it's not very happy the curl isn't acting right, so we want to get it happy here again. I call it and we're going to take off this long piece in the front and the reason i'm going to do. That is because i want to make sure that the hair grows out with really nice longevity. He still needs to get it cut about every three months. Just because again the curl will just kind of frizz out. If we don't cut, it you'll see time and time again that this top is really really long disproportionately long often - and so this is where i'm really going to focus a lot of it. I'M going to use clean sections through the back and the sides taking vertical sectioning in through here i'm going to clean up his beard. Give him a really nice clean haircut and sometimes long hair is pretty simple. It'S just making sure that you have really clean haircuts and working around that curl pattern watch how i pull that hair out it bends around my fingers and just taking clean sectioning. Is i usually take a lot less off here, just a little bit as i move around the back. Naturally, more length will come off just wanted to point that out, because i think it's really important when you're cutting long hair to not get too aggressive in here, so that you don't cut too much hair off in the back mmm, oh hmm, so so so so So i'm going to use the fatboy styling cream, it's a cream product, so it allows the curls to be curls and the hair to be hair, but it does have a little bit of hold so that it just doesn't go crazy on me. So and it's going to feel really light in the hair, but again with a little bit of hold, so you want to use something like that. I love this product. Fat boys is amazing. You

It yields great results! My boyfriend doesn’t let anyone but me anywhere near his hair with scissors so I am extremely appreciative for these tutorials. The one thing I still struggle with is sectioning, I can never get it symmetrical. Maybe that is because he has an ungodly amount of cowlicks, but I don’t really know. Are there any tricks to sectioning correctly every time?
