Curly Hairstyles: 5 Easy Half-Up Styles

Hi everybody it's Taylor, and I'm here today to show you how to recreate these five great half updo looks with just one claw clip you can dress them up, dress them down. They look great in almost any occasion and they're super quick and easy. So let's get started, okay, so to start off with you just need a single claw clip and it doesn't really matter the size. Whatever will hold half of your hair um. I have the medium sized one right now, but sometimes use a bigger, smaller one, depending on kind of the look I'm going for how much hair I want to hold up this one's working for me right now, and I'm also rocking second-day curls. So it's not the freshest but they're, not that old and I'm just pulling back the hair. That is, you know at the top of my head and securing it with that clip against the crown of my head and letting the bottom part kind of fall free. So it's a pretty simple and pretty classic and very quick and easy to do all right so to achieve the half up ponytail with pompadour, we're basically just doing a variation of theme of the last one. So we are taking the hair on the top of our head and gathering it and securing it behind. However, instead of securing it at the crown of your head you're going to kind of push that here forward and secure it above the crown still on the top of your head, and this gets a nice even pouf pompadour and in the last style I just pulled It back normally, but you could have actually slicked it back. You know with some gel and made it really smooth. I don't prefer that. Look. I like a really natural, like my curls, to show through and here's the same kind of thing. I don't really mind if a couple hair is kind of pop around. I also you're welcome to adorn with a flower or hip it all right for the half down low ponytail. We are taking again half our hair and securing it behind us. However, it's going to look like there's a lot more that you grab, but your clip can only hold what your clip can hold and you're still going to have some hair at the bottom. That'S hanging out and that's why I called it half down, because it's still down there hanging around and not secured, and it's super easy. You pull it back and at the nape of your neck you just clip now. I think it's really boring by itself and that's why I'm fiddling with it. So I grabbed a flower and I pinned it and you're welcome to do the same. In fact, I encourage it. I think it's really great look and very soft and feminine, as well already in order to do a half up ponytail with side. Bangs first dump your head forward. If you don't already have things a lot of people believe if they have curly hair, they can't have things, but you can actually recreate this. Look by doing what I just did and dumping your hair forward. So I am going to with my claw clip secure. Most of my hair in the back of my head, just like I did in the first one. The only difference is I'm letting some hairs fall and originally I was going to have full bangs, but I decided it looked better from the side and it wasn't really cooperating and feeling my face right and I encourage you to play around with what frames your face Correctly, I also like to put flowers in my hair a lot, but you definitely don't have to do that. To achieve a great look, alright y'all, I do admit I kind of cheated all I did was take the last look and flip my hair in front of my shoulders to frame my face differently, but I do consider it its own look.
