FAQ

Q. What is your ethnicity/background?

A. Mom is Indo-Trinidadian, Dad is Black (from the US).

Q. What is your curl pattern/hair type/what’s the deal with your hair?

A. I have 3b-ish hair, but it’s normal to have a variety of curl patterns on your head – hence the “-ish”. Low porosity, colour-treated. I loosely follow the Curly Girl (CG) Method. I get cuts/trims at a curly salon roughly every 4 months, where I ask for layers, bangs, and caramel or chocolatey pintura highlights.

Hi welcome back to my channel, so I'm acutely aware that a lot of you follow me because I have put out some curly hair content because I have curly hair. Maybe your hair looks like mine behaves like mine. I get a lot of questions about my hair. I'M also very lazy about my hair. I deep condition weekly, I get my trims. I take care of my hair, but I'm not one to do elaborate hairstyles with it 99 % of the time it's in a wash and go so I wanted to show you basically curly hairstyles for lazy people be handful of hairstyles that I really rely on that. Are kind of my go-to when I need to look cute, so I have bangs, you can't see them right now, because they're chilling with the rest of my hair, I love having bangs in the fall in winter, but sometimes they get in my way for this one. What you're gon na need is probably like four bobby pins and then a spray bottle with some water in it. This is a continuous spray flare assault type spray bottle that I got from my hairstylist, but you can get them on Amazon or maybe see if your stylist has them as well. So what I'm gon na do? I'M just gon na dampen the front bits that kind of get fuzzy when I sleep or go to the gym or live my life and then you'll also meet. I should have also told you if this is why I'm not a curly hair blogger, because I forget these things - you listen eat like a boar, bristle edge, smoothing type brush. You can also use a toothbrush. I sometimes use a toothbrush, I'm just gon na lightly smooth. My edges not like super intensely, just like a light edge smoothing. I usually wear this with a center part, because I always wear a center part hairs. Damn keeping bobby pins on hand, I'm gon na twist, my hair, while kind of adding hair to it. So, like the principles of a French braid in twist form, it's literally just twisting back away from my face once I get to about here. I'M gon na stop adding hair to it and just twist kind of what I have and pin it back. So I'm taking two bobby pins to do this. You can crisscross them for added security. I don't because I find that kind of pulls on my hair in a way that I don't love and that's not comfortable. So there is that you can leave your hair like this. I think it's really cute or you can repeat the process on the other side, that's what I'm gon na do for demonstration purposes. I do this hairstyle a lot. If my bangs aren't cooperating, I pull hair pins out of my pockets in my purse and just like do a quick version of this in the bathroom at school. Then I just kind of fluff the sides and there's that look alright pins are out. Hair looks kind of crazy next up is my half-up half-down type thing. I use this if my hair is like on day four and not looking the freshest, maybe if the shape is kind of wonky, because I've done some other styles on it or whatever throughout the week. So I grab again this front piece and I start twisting and adding hair to it the same way, adding hair, adding hair, adding hair twisting down this time, I'm going to like my ear and once I'm there, I'm not adding any more hair, I'm just twisting what I have then it goes kind of to the back of my head and this time I will criss cross those bobby pins, because it is a larger chunk of hair, and I want to make sure that it's secure, so I've bobby pin it one going up and Then the other one I do going down cross, so it kind of like captures the hair in question and that's what one side looks like. I'M gon na do the same thing on the other side. So again, starting at the front kind of like a French braid or a cornrow and just twisting and adding hair as I go along once I get whoa once I get here, I'm no longer adding hair, I'm just twisting what I have and then pull back and Pin and you can kind of like fluff the hair, that's underneath and make sure that it is secure. If I'm looking it's, because I'm making sure that I'm still in focus and then again bobby pin one going up. One going down and they're crossed to kind of get everything captured in the criss cross, so that is look number two three I lost track. My final look is super basic, but it is one I rely on all the time if my hair probably needs washing, but I don't feel like doing it that day, it's probably going in a sleek ponytail and I like the kind of low. I don't know it reminds me of something like Solange Knowles would wear that kind of ponytail so again keep in my center part for this one. I will need my spray bottle again my brush and then also some edge control optional. If you don't like sleeking your edges, you don't have to, but this is the curls blueberry bliss control paste. I, like the curls control paste a lot. I also have the passionfruit one. It'S just a difference of sense. They perform the same. Usually I'll do this with a scrunchie, but I don't have one on hand. I'D only have these things, so I'm gon na take that and I'm gon na pull my hair back into a low ponytail and I'm not worrying too much about getting it perfect, because I will deal with that with my edge control. Then I take my spray bottle of water and I spray like that grabbing my edge control brush and literally just brushing back like so then I grabbed my curls control paste. It is very empty because it is well loved and I take some of that and I lay my edges down. I don't do baby hairs. Let me show you, I don't do baby hairs. I don't find it looks particularly good on me. I love the look of it on other people. I just don't like how I do it. I guess I don't know so I have that all along my hairline and then I just brush it again. This is the boringest style, but this is how I get my like super sleek ponytail and then you can see I've got like bangs fluffing up on the sides. I take a little hair, pin or two or three depending on the day, and I just pin that down pretty decent on the other side and then I'll sometimes take my brush and just kind of touch up the edges here that is it my handful of go-to Hairstyles that are really simple and easy for lazy people. Ana Black: This was a great video. I’ve been looking for mature but cute curly hairstyles. Thanks.

Brit JJ: 6:07 I would’ve left this look as is, I honestly don’t think it needed to be sleeked out but that’s my preferred aesthetic for everyday wear ... I wish more people wore textured ponytail and buns.

Brit JJ: You’re such a natural beauty beautiful, shiny hair, I love the curls.

Alexis Kelley: I legit have the same hair as you ❤ also I am a lazy natural

S Lawton: Your hair is gorgeous!

Minimal Assembly: Can you share which products your original wash n go is styled with here?

Aliya Rosario: Hi thank you for posting this. My hair is pretty much exactly like yours maybe slightly looser but very much coily like shirley temple. Sometimes if i put it in s pony tail the whole front will look bone straight like an Indian. But the hair in the pony tail will look curly. At times it frizzes really bad n your hair looks really healthy mine doesn't so much anymore. I was wondering what do you use to make it look smooth and healthy? Also yes like you I wear lots of wash and gosand also just braid it on the sides two pony tails or just one high bun... I guess i don't really take care of it. I don't put anything in it other than I'm curious and I hope this doesn't offend you. Are you of two different ethnic backgrounds? I am. Not to say that you have to be if you have our texture hair bc I have cousins who have bru similiar hair too mine. And both parents are african american. Are you as well? Or multiethnic? Thx I'll subscribe to your channel have ab great day
