You know you're a curly girl when you're going to get your hair cut and you bring your own products. Hey there guys welcome back to my channel. This video is gon na, be a little bit different in that not very good. At this logging thing, how do people do this? This isn't easy. Anyway, I'm getting my hair cut today, yay and my sweet sweet stylist Christian will be cutting my hair. We don't have the salon to ourselves today, so it will be kind of a voiceover. I'M thinking also, I kind of sort of joked kind of sort of meant it that I'm bringing my own products. This is something you are absolutely able to discuss with your stylist before you come some salons, don't like it when you bring outside products in and if your hairstylist won't doesn't want you bringing in products. That'S totally fine, but Christian is very sweet and she's willing to. Let me bring my own stuff, so I basically just brought a bunch of inner sense. I may or may not have brought my perfect haircare towel and my brush with me. So why don't we go ahead and go inside hey there guys, alright! So Christian is very sweetly. Just getting me all set up here and guess what she's here with me today, yay hi she'll be explaining what she's doing from a very professional standpoint. So what's happening right now, Christian, so I'm just sectioning out your hair, and I kind of I guess I'll - just jump into kind of the plan for this cut we're just barely taking about an inch off her ends and that's what I'm gon na do. First then, we're gon na go in and add some layers and some texture and face right. Alright, so we've all been there, we've all sat down in the chair and told the stylist. Please don't take off too much length and then all of a sudden, chop-chop, four inches later gone, were devastated. What you are like the best ever like, what is your approach to a client and how much lengths to take off yes, so this is from personal experience. I was scarred, but no, I really just talked with my client and really see what they're comfortable with. I can. Even I measure it out on my comb too, so they know exactly how much I'm taking off and then I show them in the mirror and we just kind of make sure everyone is gon na, be happy with it. So you have a special comb that has like one inch two inch three inch marks on it. Yes, it has all my all the inches on there and it goes so. My combs are actually there's six inches long and so actually, if I'm doing a pretty big job mm-hmm, I can measure it really accurately. Yes, that is awesome. I'M thinking like hair donations and stuff laughs exactly that is really cool. So, are you still just cutting everything to length right now in these segments? Yes, I'm just cutting those ends, making sure everything's even awesome, I'm so healthy. It'S so healthy! Oh well! Thank you. So I think we've talked about this in the last haircut video, but, like you've known me, this whole time. I'Ve been doing this whole wild process. It'S been so exciting, they're, so sweet um have you noticed a change in my hair? Yes, 100 % but yeah. I definitely think like your hair is so much shinier and healthier healthier, yeah, yeah, okay. So now I am just going in and starting the layering process. I went in that first section in the middle back of her head and started layering and realized that the layers weren't quite short enough. So I just went in again and I'm just matching that and I'm just gon na take little um about inch subsections, all throughout the back portion of her hair and just going in and following that guy and it's for hairstylist watching this. That is a traveling guide. So that is awesome alright, but for the layman watching this video, you wants this particular haircut. How do they walk into a salon and say: hey cut my hair, like that? Yes, okay, so these layers, I would call them definitely medium length layers, but on the shorter side of medium length, when I think of like short layers, I think of like more of a shag look, and so that's definitely not what we're going for um. But so it's definitely more on the medium side, but short, medium, shorter medium. That makes it there are definitely not long layers. There'S there's a bit of distance from my shortest layer to my longest layer, yes, okay, alright and for all of the curly girls watching this cringing going. How on earth is this a curly cut? Well, I have actually had a dry curl by curl cut that Christian did and it was magnificent curl cut and it added too much weight to my hair. Yes and like pulled my curl clumps out, it made my hair micro powder more elongated, whereas, like this haircut I'll put some pictures in the at the end. But oh it's like curled up a lot and and why do you think that is, do you think yeah? I definitely think it's just taking that extra weight out those - I guess possibly maybe we didn't do your layers short enough with the curly cut, I'm not exactly sure if we could do it again and be successful, um or more successful, but um, wouldn't it unsuccessful here, Get it was a great. It was an experimentation. It was a fun experiment, so yeah. What can somebody is there? Anyone that this haircut wouldn't work for um, so anyone that there is just an extremely tight curl pattern. They'Re gon na need possibly a little bit more length on their layers, okay, um and then I definitely wouldn't go in and we're gon na texturize here on the top later - and I wouldn't point cut or texturize with thinning shears unless they specifically asked for it. Because of previous experience and what they've had done to the hair - and they know that's what works best for them right so yeah, but like getting so many layers and so much texture, you're sitting here like staring right now like it Serena. No, no, like you can see me in person and my hair has sprung up like it loves this kind of haircut. So knowing your hair and knowing what it likes is like super helpful, but you also don't know what it likes until you kind of are willing to try everything. You have to do the experimenting in a way um, and that's also like why it's important to have your client stylist relationship. You both have good communication and you know what you're working towards and what is happening now so um. I don't know if you guys have noticed, but I have gone in and changed the angle that I am cutting the layers around the top of her crown and around her face this section here. I'M actually gon na cut like everything else, just perpendicular to the hair but the other pieces I have gone in and it's a technique called point cutting and you go in parallel to the hair and you just remove some of that weight and kind of make a Little bit more movement make it to where the hair could have more movement. I guess I should say okay, so instead of a blunt cut, yet more textured, yes hit time everything you're supposed to do, for a technical, curly cut, that's okay, but point cutting. What is the difference between point cutting and blunt cuts so, instead of cutting and going in with your scissors being pair of perpendicular to the hair you're, going in parallel to the hair and kind of leaving the ends a little scraggly and shaggy? So they just blend and - and it really takes out just a teensy bit of weight from that okay blunter in line okay, so so it makes it less smooth a blunt cut being perfectly straight across, whereas this point cutting makes it a little bit more jagged. Yes, you cut into that end line of this jagged in a good way. Yeah, I thought Oh blend. Yeah whoa creates lots of movement, and my hair felt so much lighter weight after this cut, but it didn't lose any length. I mean it lost an inch, a single inch as measured by my shirt, I'm so goofy you, you tolerate a lot. I really appreciate you dearly oh and guys comment down below, isn't Christian, having the best hair day got lucky that day, it's so pretty, and that's your natural hair color right! Yes, yes, god bless me! Oh, my goodness, I'm not gon na lie. I tried one time at home with box hair dyed to do this hair color. Oh did it was dredging hair college day. It was totally in my college days, but I'm just going in through that crown and the partner on her face and just really removing some more of that weight seriously guys. I love it when she does this. This makes a huge difference in my hair, my hair curls up so much better when there is weight taken off of it and it is some face. Framing action happening. Yes, okay, so we're going in and I am really just cleaning up the layers and just smoothing out all those ends around her face. I'M not only taking anything too much shorter, okay and one thing that I have. We have really worked towards us to give me layers, but also make it so that everything can be pulled back in a ponytail. So no bangs for me, yeah well and like when we go in here in a bit and texturize with the thinning shears. It'S just so everything can come back out of your face, cuz, it's so frustrating when it's so having it just falls into your face. Oh sorry, scissors were out of focus okay, so I was trying to go in and show you guys the thinning shears that I'm gon na be using for this part of the haircut and I'm just going in and removing some extra weight around her crown and the Frame of her face like on the top portion of her head just cuz, she gets it's gon na help with volume and she just gets heavy there. I really do do you think I potentially have maybe more hair on top of my head, like it's thicker. On top like, why is it so heavy up there? I'M not sure that it's necessarily thicker I mean, maybe maybe you do have more hair, but you just have thick hair, Oh in general, and so just to give that volume and kind of help your roots be bounced up and yeah wonderful right there. So I have really fine hair. That'S like decently high density, yes, okay! So that's why all of these layers being taken out like part of the reason I get this haircut with so much texture? Is that there's a lot of fine hair? Yes, it weighs you down and you're too heavy. So with this haircut work on somebody who has like half the amount of hair um on someone that has half the amount of hair. Is you I would, I would say the layering would be fine, but I would go in and texturize, maybe just a little bit less with this thinning, okay and possibly take like bigger sections, okay to texturize, okay on you, I could go in and do those same Section sizes, like the one-inch subsections that I do with for the layers um and and I could even go back and texturize you again in certain areas, but on someone with less hair. I would only hit that spot one time. Okay, so it would be customized to the individual sitting down, but yeah so yeah. So this is where it's so important to let your stylist get to know your hair because also like I don't know how long I've even been doing your hair. Now I mean it's, the gears yeah yeah and your hair has changed so much and we've done very similar cuts to this, but, like I'm, definitely loving where your hair is out right now, I think it's gorgeous, so if it turns out, is so good this time. Alright - and that is just about it so now just fluffing and showing all those glorious layers that are now put in a way to go Christian, alright, guys, I'm back from getting my hair cut, and I thought I could show you the haircut in its normal setting. Yes, there are a code with a number of layers in my hair right now. I really love it. I love how lightweight it's making my hair, and I love that I didn't lose too terribly much of my length. That'S good with me. Thank you. So so much Christian, you kill it every single time. You'Re amazing guys. If y'all want to potentially go see Christian, please check out the link in the description below it will have her information down there if you're interested and yes, I know that this isn't a curly cut, but you got to do what works for you. You'Ve got to be intuitive. You'Ve got to listen to your hair and give your hair what it needs sweet Christian, always listening to me. She gave me an absolutely amazing, dry, curly, cut and guess what my hair didn't love it. My hair loves tons of layers, tons of texture, and you can already tell - or at least I can, that, my that this minimal product air dry hair is already way more curly. Then it is normally. My hair loves this haircut incredible amounts of layering. Just yes and I didn't lose my length so anyway, guys I thought it'd be a whole lot of fun to have an updated haircut video because it's been a year since I have shown you what kind of haircut I get guess what this is very, very similar To my last haircut video, hopefully, the quality is better as learning how to do videos better fingers crossed I'm getting a little bit better at this. Alright guys. I hope you have an absolutely fantastic day, and I will talk to you later. Bye,

Swavy Curly Courtney: Thank you so much for hanging out with US today! The moral of this hair cut story is to listen to your hair and give it what it needs. Just because it is a "curly cut" doesn't mean it will make your hair curlier. This is the cut that works best on my fine hair! What kind of hair cut works best for you?

Teresa Stackhouse: I had a dry cut almost a year ago and it was a catastrophe for my hair. I've been growing it out since and am scheduled for a cut this week. So excited that you posted this the same week that I was planning on getting a cut. My stylist is new to me which makes me a little nervous: however, she carries Innersense products. Am I a little crazy to judge a stylist by the products they carry?

Periwinkle Butterfly: Years ago, I used to get hair cuts like this, and it was great for my curls. I don’t think she used the thinning shears quite so much, but she did the layers very similarly. I’ve had the hardest time trying to find someone to cut my layers like this, so I’m going to have to use this video to help with my next haircut. Thank you for sharing!

Anastasia Batastini: Your voiceover questionnaire with Christian was so fun and informative! You should start a curly podcast!!

Alyson Saunders: So gorgeous..I love it! She did beautifully and her hair is really beautiful also

chloe bush: Do you have any pictures of your dry cut? I would love to see the comparison of the two! ❤️ your hair is beautiful and so is the cut

D Ebner: Hey Courtney! I've just started the CGM journey a few months ago. I'm also 2 type hair. I can tell that's it is getting better with every wash. My hair is just above the shoulders. I don't think I want to go past my shoulders. I know I need to get a cut. I haven't had too much luck with hair stylists. So, I'm a bit apprehensive about trying another one. I guess I'll just pray the Lord will lead me to one who is good and knowledgeable in cutting wavy hair.

Elizabeth Carroll: This is perfect! When I get my hair cut, they ask me if I want short layers or long layers, and I never know what to say! I am getting my hair cut this evening and will say medium layers, closer to the shorter side. Thank you!!! :) Also, my hair is so much like yours, it's crazy. I used to have my hair thinned out, especially on top, but ever since trying a modified-CGM, I have been afraid of having it thinned out! My hair is the same amount of waviness (some spots are a teeny bit curly), and thick, especially on top. My hair just isn't as healthy as yours.

Jamie Bowden: You both are gorgeous! Thanks so much for explaining everything so concise, it's very helpful.

Short.andcurly: Loved it. It looks amazing! I’ve never had a dry curly cut, only regular wet cuts ‍♀️ and I’ve honestly never had a problem. I just try to make sure my stylist understands my shrinkage . My hair doesn’t like to be brushed/combed a ton but it bounces back when I go home and rewash with my own products. I’ve had a shag cut once before and I loved it I only wish I knew about how to style my hair curly when I had that cut done years ago Currently dying for a cut at the worst possible moment with all that’s going on.

Peggy W: Hi Courtney! Congrats on close to 49K subs!! That cut is great. It really have you a lot of volume.

kw_possible: Thanks so much for posting!! It came just in time as I'm getting ready to schedule my next cut

Carolyn Alida: Fantastic, beautiful, professional cut. This stylist “gets it”. You are so lucky that she isn’t trying to be a YouTube star, like mine was. Left me behind. ☹️. Searching yet again for someone with this amount of understanding.

Alejandra Cobos: Hey there! I have a really big question: I've been using the Shea Moisturizing shampoo/conditioner, and it truly makes my hair just FALL OUT The only shampoo/conditioner that never caused my fair to fall out was Paul Mitchell's ginger Awa Pui (which is an 8 on the Think Dirty App ) What are your current favorite products that you are using? I would love to try anything so I can take the products to my own stylist one day ❤

Sheryl Adams: Courtney, I love you’re videos. While my hair is way more curly than yours, it’s also very fine and gets weighted down very easily. So of all the curly girl people out there, I like your hints, ideas and products better than most. That being said, when I went in to get my latest cut (since I started going curly), my stylist gave me the same cut as what Christian did for you. Layered, but fairly long and thinned at the crown. It now frames my face much better and isn’t as weighted down. I jus wish that my front portion would behave. There’s a strange cowlick and backward kinda of curl pattern going on there that makes it a complete mess. Makes me itch to go back to drying and curling my “bangs” only. BUT, I’m trying to be good and not use that kind of heat on my hair consistently. Anyway, thanks so much for all of your videos.

lauren schwab: Thank you, this is really helpful for us wavies!

Kimberly Miles: Omg!!! I just realized this salon is right down the street from my house!!! So excited!!! Thank you so much for sharing!!! I have been following you for about a year...since I began this journey. Your videos have been immensely helpful for me.

Denise Wright: I love the cut. I have been getting a similar cut for years. I don’t go straight across the bottom, somewhere in between rounded and a point. I had to lay off the thinning sheers, several hairdressers went too far in with them. It’s hard to find a consistent hairdresser in my town. And when we find one they move on

Megan Elliott: It's so good to see this, because I have been told by my hairstylist that I can't have layers because my hair is curly, but you and I have the same hair type and your layers look gorgeous! Makes me want to go and find a stylist that will be more understanding!

IAMJCC: LOVE LOVE LOVE these haircut videos! Thank you for sharing

Julie Bruce: Your hair looks amazing! Just yesterday I got a dry (not curly) cut. But she told me dry would be best for my hair. So glad I trusted her! Even if someone has not had “curly” training if they are a highly trained stylist trust them! I have had that horrible “big chop” I didn’t want before - and I was pregnant and that made it worse She asked more questions than I have ever been asked (I’m 47) and it was an amazing experience

Flower: So shiny, bouncy! That was fun to see the whole layered cut done with the stylist joining you on the voice over. Another video warned strongly against thinning sheers for curlies but looks like it works for you, and you've done the work to try out different cuts.

Seth Garrington: Love this! some states are strict about the salon having MSDS sheets about every product, which is why clients can’t bring in product!

marisadaniela6: She is amazing! Exactly the kind of stylist I wish I had. When I visit my sis in Abilene I'm gonna have to book an appointment!

Amber Boney: How did you find a good hairstylist that understands wavy/curly hair?

drizzledrain: Oh my goodness! I honestly didn't know you lived in/around Abilene! I live over in New Mexico BUT my bff has a ton of family in Abilene and I visit all the time. Dunno if it's enough for a routine session with Christian every so often but I just may be able to squeeze in here and there. I'm so excited!

Miranda's World: Thank you for this video! I just finished 1 month on the CGM and I keep thinking eventually I'll have to get a cut and I'm terrified of it. All you hear about is dry cuts but in my rural town that is not happening. I was wondering do you plop it and put products in after the cut or does Christian do it or do you just let it air dry?

Loraine Mcgillivray: I have long 2c/3a curly hair and always get layers cut into mine as it would be too heavy otherwise. I have high density/course textured hair and I need layers to let my curls spring up. Leaving a lot of weight in drags my curls down. I don't get short layers, but I do have medium to long layers. I haven't had a dry curly cut so I can't comment on that, but this does work for me. As to products my scalp is so sensitive, I've always used my own shampoo, conditioner etc and now use my own styling products. Sometimes I just get a wet cut (with some conditioner left in) and style it myself afterwards. My stylist comes to my house, so it's easy to do that. I think a wet cut can work for certain lengths/textures and as always personal choice plays a part. My hair is still transitioning even after more than a year of modified cgm, as when straight it is waist length. I still get a few highlights through the top sections to blend in the white (went directly to white missing out grey) through my naturally mid blonde hair, as at 48 it's an issue. I need that weight removed though, as when I'm due a cut it takes 10 hours to dry from wet. it looked like a great cut and your stylist's hair is really pretty too. Best wishes.

yensid: Thick hair ( high density) needs some of the weight removed for best results. Even before I was wearing my natural texture, layering that was blunt cut didn't work(it looked flat & heavy) so I avoided it. It wasn't until I found out about point cutting & thinning sheers & started requested it & found hairstylists who could layer my hair properly that I was happy with layered haircuts & just working with my natural texture instead of against it. It dries faster & lays better with the layering. No more smoothing/drying with a blow dryer & touching up with a curling iron for me. Or getting a root perm. Those days are over thankfully.

Janet Moore: From one redhead to another, the moment you appeared on screen, I thought to myself, wow what amazing hair, gorgeous colour and gorgeous curls. Courtney I'm liking the look of your cut, my hair is currently all one length and I'm heading to the hairdressers in a couple of days with your cut in mind. Probs even gonna send her the video link lol

Linda Sue: You know you got an excellent trim when the before and afters are very subtle! It's coming out without that 4in you were talking about that you know things tanked!

StephiKarolyi: A "curly cut" is really more for an even curl pattern throughout your hair. To me the beauty of curly/wavy hair is that it's not all the same. For me who has relatively the same hair thickness and curl pattern as yours I have it cut at one length (even though it doesn't really stay that way dried) and no layers. I'm growing out to *hopefully* be able to donate a boat load of it so long as I can keep it healthy.

Di Di: That was a great video and I wished I lived there so I could go to your lovely hair dresser she is amazing. I love e layers also they make my curls bounce right up. Thank you again.

Emma k-vg: thats my fave haircut too! my waves love the layers so much :D I had a dry cut once but never again

Cathi Smith: How do you style the front of your hair? I really need to learn how to do it, because I've just had a disastrous dry cut, and the hair at the front, on the side of my part, is hanging straight!! Help!! Great video - I'm definitely taking it with me next time

ADeCa: Your haircut looks beautiful! Your videos truly help so so much. I would truly appreciate if or anyone could help me decide between buying bounce curl products or moptop products for 2a/2b hair. Or if there's any other brand of shampoo and conditioner that anyone loves so incredibly.

InjectSomeCommonSense: Thanks court! So much better (in terms of sound) than last cut! (Not that I claim to know HOW to do videos!) I'm a red head too and I wonder what her perspective is , red thick curly hair vs other colors IF ANY. My stylist always said if I could do my hair, I could do anyones.... well, I'm struggling. My stylist is in another state and retired.

Terry H: I laughed so hard at your opening statement because I do the same thing, and at first I felt weird but thankfully, my stylist has become one of my best friends so she was cool with it. Her attitude was “Great, I don’t have to use my stuff on you!” Haha!

Heather King: Do you re-wet your hair after the cut (in the salon?) to style as normal or do you just let it go natural until the next wash day?

Sarah Nichols: Oh yeah! Just did that on Saturday. It was my first CG haircut so I wasn't sure if my stylist would let me bring my own products. But she was totally ok with it and she was even asking me about CG so....might have found a kindred spirit.

zobothehobo: I AM BRINGING THIS VIDEO INTO THE SALON WITH ME NEXT TIME ugh I have coarse high density hair but it is SO high density that it is weighed down so easily because every strand is so thick around and there's so many they have to fight for space and this amount of layers and length between layers is exactly what I try to communicate and no one listens! Thank you!! now i wish this virus would stop so I can go get a haircut

Rockin' Song: The style I think would look amazing on you is the Rezo Cut! I feel like it would works so we’ll with your hair and how your hair clumps!

Nicole Slaughter: Me. Searching through 100 videos for curly hair, pony tail cuts for my mom. same general idea just not focused where the volume is. She has beautiful fine hair that’s curly and this helped a bit. Thanks.

Janet Nelson: What is your favorite shampoo and conditioner to maintain protein/moisture balance?

LemonadeLaura: Great vid! Oh, how I wish Christian was a part-time stylist in NYC! haha Since moving here a few years ago, I've had the darnest time finding someone out here that can work with my texture (it's similar to Christian's actually, except with some periodical, self-inflicted highlight damage). So glad you found her! Her work is great!

Melissa Rae: My stylist cuts my hair like this, and now I’m wondering if I’m styling it wrong. I always thought it was just a bad cut. One curl goes from the top of my top layer all the way down to the bottom of my bottom layer and the layered pieces get stuck in the curl so I have no layered curls if that makes sense. I’m wondering if I should be separating out my curls by layer, but I’ve never seen you do that how do your short hair is not get tangled up in a crawl that goes all the way down?

Person: Courtney! would you ever do a video where you talk about highlights / colour in swavy-wavy-curly hair?

Pravljični kanal: It does help when the stylist is a curly girl herself and knows how to work the locks! :) I have tried having layers, but my hair at the back, closer to the neck, does not curl as happily as the rest of them, so I ended up with curls/waves on top, and long straight strings underneath and it looked like I ran out of the salon halfway through the haircut. Does anyone have any tips for that? More product on that section, thinning the hair out?

Jurina Cleaver: Question, I know that you mentioned that you grew out your natural hair color, but if you have to guess on the color chart, is your hair color a 6.1 Ash or 7.1 ash?

The Real Life Telisa: My last curly hair cut the stylist used thinning shears and jacked my hair up sooo bad. That was in December currently still trying to grow it out

Amy Medeiros: Oh my goodness, I got a somewhat impromptu cut this afternoon and my hair is in scissor shock right now. *Now* I'm watching this! Thank you for posting this! Now I'll know what to do next time. ;) (My favorite curl has been chopped off. I could NOT find a good inspo pic that was not too curly or too straight compared to my hair so I just asked for long layers with my longest layer about collarbone length and my shortest layer chin length. Didn't think through that would mean losing my favorite best curl. :P )

Milly T: OMG...Her hair is gorgeous. I've always been jealous of curly red hair...

Danielle: We need Christian's hair/styling routine!!!!!!!!!! Love her hair!!

Brittany Craigo: I'm so glad you made this because I am in need of haircut and didn't know what to ask for. I recently have been having a lot a trouble with the top section of my hair and decided I need layers. Hopefully a similar haircut to this will help me.

Gabrielle Negrillo: Its almost funny that I think your hair looks longer post hair cut! I feel like my hair will feel longer after I get it cut maybe just because so much of that weight is gone! Christian seems so sweet and did an amazing job!

Susan Hancock: The breath of fresh air I needed today. Thank you!

StuckInTheLazyCorner Again: I have been going to the same salon for around 3-4 years and had different hairdressers from time to time and I love them! Its a black female owned salon and they all have wavy/curly/kinky hair so i trust them to know textured hair. I have never brought my own products since I don’t mind using “bad” products once in a while....I spotted some CGM friendly products last time too i was there I was shook lmao

Rachel Ireland: I definitely find the shorter my hair, the more it actually hits proper curl time. The longer it has gotten and the more my layers have grown out my waves have just pulled out so it looks like I don't have any. As soon as my hair is cut up into and more layers put into it and no blunt ends, it has sprung back up and is popping. I don't have super curly hair and I just can't get it cut like a curly girl, I don't have a tight enough pattern to sustain all the weight on it. Bonus it will look nice when it's straight. I don't do it very often but it's nicefor a change.

Steffie F: Here an idea for a post: the effect of using different natural products like coconut oil, coconut butter, aloe, shea butter, jojoba oil, argan oil. I'm thinking that not all of these substances help everyone the same way in terms of frizz and hydration, and perhaps you can educate us on what they are good for specifically (scalp, hydration, frizz, shine, etc)? I suspect you already have this knowledge so it would be awesome if you could compile it in a video for us ☺️

Laura Horcher: Beautiful! How often do you get it cut? Thank you!

Emily Jo: Me at the beginning of the video: you can bring your own products to a haircut?????

Stevie Ray: OMG i cannot use thinning shears AT ALL! Makes my hair CRAZy but looks amazing on yours!!

Faithfully Bold Adornments: I have fine extremely dense hair and am a 2b/2c and I have to get this exact cut! I don’t currently have a set stylist but I lucked out with this most recent girl and she has similar hair so I felt very confident in her.

Peach Tea: I cant tell its lighter and lots more movement! How exciting! ❤

Naomi Pena-Henao: What type of haircut did you get it? I'm planning on getting a v cut because I want layers. Im not sure if the v cut is considered long layers or medium layers. I also have 2a-2b hair.

A. B.: That stylist has gorgeous hair!!! I’m so jealous!

andrea lopez: I LOVE YOUR BIDEOS AND HAIR TIPS, THARY RELLY HELP ME OUT AND I WILL DEFINITELY FOLLOW THIS HAIR CUT. THANKYOU SO MUCH!

ARB: Omg this is exactly the right Video for me since i rly have to get my Hair cut too...:)

Christy Durham: I think I need to try this haircut too. Thanks for sharing. Though I have bangs, but they are side swip ones.

country girl: your stylist has hair just like my daughters hair... I would love her to make a video on how she styles her hair... but she done a fantastic job on your hair... Love it...

Susan Burke: Thinning shears? No way! I would flee screaming from the salon! Wherever I have an end I have frizz. On you, the results are beautiful.

J. B.: This is how I have always tried to explain my hair cuts when i go in!!! I have such a hard time with volume on the back crown part (i have a really obnoxious cowlick that make me look bald a lot) is it weird to send a video to my hair stylist and say I want this but not at much thinning ?!?! Haha

Stanka Kordic: She’s a curly girl too, and gets it. I found one with curls too and it made all the difference! Mine does a combo dry/wet cut.

ML: love it!!!!!thks for sharing!

Olivia Shafer: My nephew has your stylist hair color and we all gotta pay high dollar for that color! Ugh. So I always tell my nephew not to be disappointed with his natural red color because so many females envy that color!

Alexandra Meskova: How about styling? I can't imagine asking my hairdresser to create a cast and diffuse on low for an hour :D I also don't want her to blowdry it straight.

Arianna James: Love seeing your haircuts with Christian!!

Janie Hall: I have very thick wavy hair. My hair loves layers. Thank Courtney

A Wallaby: Omg, Abilene isn’t too far from San Antonio! I desperately need someone for my curly hair that is VERY similar to yours. :)

Therese W: Hi thanks for this I’m not sure about dry cuts anymore after my last haircut where the stylist still took too much off?? You have lovely hair but my hair is more like the stylist’s hair in texture so do you have any more tips?? I have even stop using styling products as it weighs it down too much?.

Little Red: One day, I need to get my hair cut into a nice curly cut, but there don't seem to be stylists like this in Chicago? Like a lot of places have closed and I stopped trusting stylists over 6 years ago. She seems amazing, and I really need a stylist who cares about their clients on an individual level. Also, she has extremely pretty hair. Like both the colour and the curl pattern. Amazing! I have 4a-c hair and it only curls at the very bottom of each curl because there's so much weight. I really want to get those coils but I'm too paranoid. I even make my own products because nothing else was working. I can do trims now, and I make temporary hair colour (it's green now for Saint Patrick's) but I know I can't do a real cut. Maybe one day!

Christy Burke: Beautiful

1tbsofjan: would you go into the salon with product free hair or your hair styled with products? i mean like if there’s products then your hairdresser can see how it behaves with products, but if it’s natural then your stylist can see the natural form? please advice! planning to get a cut soon ahahah. gonna ask for the same thing as yours!!

Tammy Hutchings: Interesting comment about your curls getting elongated after a dry curly cut! I got a dry cut and my curls acted like they had been cut MID-CURL, which she did not do. I wonder if what happened to me was like what you saw with your cut....

Samantha Viviano: New to the curly girl method here! My clumps look gorgeous after plopping, but then they fall and my curls arent as pretty anymore. I'm diffusing on low and cool but not going upside-down like you do. Would love some help! They fall so much after even a few hours. Does this mean I need more gel? Am I diffusing wrong?

Gina Kinard: Looks great!

Jessica Galyon: I need a haircut for these heavy looking waves & I was stressing about the use of silicone & heat!!! They are pretty harsh on my hair there :(

la ra: Would that kind of cut work on hair that tends to frizz? Thx

Marcy Roth: YIKES! My wavy hair HATES point cutting and texturizing. I couldn't finish watching this video - too painful - LOL! Those techniques destroy my curls/waves. I really hope everyone knows their hair well enough to know that those things don't work for everyone.

The Ice Drop: Your hair is so pretty!!!!

Nabila Hussain: Thank youuuuu so much dear!..I did this haircut using two mirrors ..my waves turned out so good. my crown is less dense..so i dint use much of scissors there..!!! loads of love from India!!!...hardly u find any haircut for wavy hair. My hair type is 2A!

Jeanette Danielsen: Lovely cut, fits you perfectly! Im not able to get a cut like this, as my hair is 3a/b on one side, and mor 2b/c og the other. I have to get a dry cut. When my hair is wet, my 3b side is 2 inches longer then the other looks awesome culy, but horrible wet/straight

Polly: I love your stylist hair.

Mina Kim: I looovvveee Christian's natural hair color it looks so good!!

marisadaniela6: I wish I had the talent and know-how to cut my own hair! I need need NEED a cut, but because my baby is due this week, my doctor said don't go anywhere unless I absolutely have to to avoid getting sick. I really didn't plan on giving birth with this shaggy mop

Karen Boyett: I love your haircut. Pretty sure mine is too thin for that many layers. Envious!

Sara RIddle3: Live in Texas, will travel! I lived in Midland for awhile and then went to Houston to get my hair done (previous stylist). Now I live in Ft, Worth, so not that far from Abilene, may have to find her!

Julia Gulley: My question is actually for Christian, can she recommend anyone in Lubbock? My lady is great with color but not so great with layered cuts.

Colleen Arvelin: Have u tried the Rusk mousse products They r supposed to give give volume

Blue Jean: My hair is a pain. I stopped washing with tap water and started using only distilled water. My hair is much softer and the buildup on my scalp is shedding off. Might have been a calcium buildup? So now my hair is soft, yet tangled at the same time with very little curl. It's been since April 2019 that I've been trying to transition my damn hair. I'm about done.
