My name is Dana and I make curly hair videos to help embrace your natural curly or wavy texture. Here you'll find curly / wavy hair routines, product reviews, first impressions, lifestyle content, and more! I hope you stick around :)

Hey everyone welcome back fewer new to my channel. My name is Dana welcome, so today's video was inspired by the fact that I know that you guys love, hairstyle inspiration and I was thinking like I wear my hair in a bun probably way more than I should so. I thought it would be fun to kind of share my different bun hairstyle, so we'll do like a perfect messy bun, something a little bit more refined. It'Ll. Also show you how I accessorize these hairstyles, because doing buns can get just like a little repetitive before we get into the hairstyles. I just want to talk about a few of the accessories that I'm going to be using. First of all, we have these. Well, I like to call them DNA bobby pins, but I think they're spiral bobby pins. These are a necessity for me, these make it so I don't even have to use a hair tie, and I get very, very secure styles with these. I'M also going to be using some fun little clips, some pearl ones. Obviously these are optional. These are just kind of ways to spice up your hairstyle. Of course, we have via Donna's, which are my favorite and then for one of the styles. I'M also going to be using this little donut buns. So, let's start off with the first hairstyle okay. So this is like my more dressy style bun we're going to gather all of our hair right at the nape of our neck like right down here, and I'm just going to use this brush to kind of smooth out any bumps in my hair. You could make this, obviously as the luminous as you want, I kind of like this to be like a slicked back style, so that is what I'm going to do. Okay, so now my hair is twisted into a small cute little bun, and I'm going to take these little spiral pins. I'M just going to put these in my hair. Now, if you don't have these bobby pins, you might want to, or you'll probably want to secure the bun with the hair tie, but, like I said, I don't even need to use hair ties with these for our next tile. I want to use the donut and I see a lot of people using this and just kind of laying their hair over it, but I find you get the best results when I actually roll my hair into, and it gives a really nice big, messy bun that Doesn'T look so perfect thing. We'Re going to do is actually clip our hair up with some regular flat bobby pins is add, some clips to kind of give me a more pushed up effect, so I'm literally just taking pieces of hair back. If you want, you can now secure your ponytail with a hair tie and if you've never used the donut before. I probably would suggest doing this. I'M going to slip all of my hair through the donut this one and then I'm going to pull the edge of the donut to the ends of my hair and then I'm wrapping the ends of my hair back into the donut. And you just want to start rolling back and you're, just throwing your hair in there while rolling. So then we're left with something like this. This is where you can go in with your regular bobby pins. You probably don't want to use the DNA pins with this. Only because it could get stuck in the donut, so I just like to use regular it like open, bobby pins. I like this method, because what, if you don't have a ton of hair, this is really going to make your buns look really big. So now, for my go to messy bun, I start by pinning my hair back again and this time we're not going to be using any hair ties. Just those little DNA clips, I'm going to take my ponytail in my backhand whisked it around and while I'm twisting it, I'm throwing the length of my hair in the back and then I'm just going to wrap it around. This gives more of a topknot look. Then, if I just want to spin my hair around in, like a ballet bun, I actually saw Jen Atkin doing this on rosie huntington-whiteley and I was like following. I also like to pull a few pieces of hair down. This is personally my favorite top knot style. Only because it looks like you put no effort into it and you just like naturally like through your hair up, really quick and it just happens and like look really cute. But if you can't get the hang of that whole maneuver. You can also, let's see if I can do this without messing my hair up, so if you can't get the hang of that other flip maneuver or like that knot, you guys can always just regularly kind of even you guys can always just regularly secure this. Like you would a regular bun, I just like the fullness that the other one gives okay guys. So those are all of the ways that I like to wear my hair and a bun messy bun, a dressy bun, all types of buns. Thank you guys so much for watching, as always, don't forget to subscribe. If you enjoy my content and you haven't already sorry, the uploads have been a bit lacking. I honestly just needed to step away for a bit and I was feeling a little bit overwhelmed and anxious and feeling a lot better. Now, though, so I appreciate you all so much. Thank you guys so much for watching. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day and a wonderful rest of your week and I will see you next time.
