Butt Length Knotless Braids With Wool/Yarn

Hey Guys! I hope you found this video to be helpful/usefull. We used 12 rolls of wool/yarn.

The wool was purchased here in lagos Nigeria, and can be found on my website at

Hey guys welcome back to my channel so today I'm gon na be showing you guys have we did these not less box braids using Brazilian wool. So I have my students helping me today. It says essence as well as rings beauty palace I'll, be leaving their Instagram handles in the description below so make sure you guys check out their work. They'Re really really amazing and based in Lagos, Nigeria. So so they've already started. So I just decided to film the last portion of this hair for you guys to see, because I thought it was kind of unique and it's a different type of hair that we're gon na be using so as I've. Why not this particular hair that I'm speaking on it's kind of like whoa? But it's not wool? It'S not the average rule that you would find at your local Walmart or your local, just arts and crafts store. These are the type of wool kind of hat. It kind of looks like hair, but it's not here, it's kind of like I don't know how to describe it. It'S very very nice. It literally is kind of like hair, but it's not. It gives that very airy, like every block, like dreads type of I don't know what I'm saying, but it's really really nice. It'S sold here in Philly, for thank you very much most of Africa. I think you can find this particular hair, but if you need access to them, you can always purchase them from my website. Just check the link in the bio at going by Mary comm. You can find all of these stuff that I'm using for purchase pretty much. So anyway, so what we do is when we're adding the hair. We do it in two, so the yarn we cut it up and we use two yarn per install in terms of like feeding it into the hair. So if the hair is thicker like in the crown portion of my career - and I hear it's quite thick, so we do to yarn as like a strand as opposed to doing one yarn as it's trying to that make sense. So if the hair is thinner, we start off with one piece of yarn and then increase the two then kind of feeding or accordingly. So, as you can see the the braids branch a quite thing, my in my parts are kind of like medium, but the lines are quite small. If I make sense or sex medium kind of yeah, it's really nice. It came out very, very full. It'S so long. It'S currently the longest race I've ever had, and it's really really pretty lightweight. We use, like think about a whole pack of yarn, which I have to go count. I think it's probably ignored for like 12 hello, please yarn and it's very light. I literally do not view it if this was expression here, my head would be falling off my head, okay, but because we use this fiber yarn, we call it wool out here in Africa, not yarn, so I would call it yarn over kind of the same thing, But this is a bit different foam yarn because of the fibers bit different so like I would call it blue states mark that's more of the realistic name for it, as opposed to yarn so yeah, it's very light, but, as you can see, the top should just Add in one piece of wool - and it's just gon na, add two piece following and then the next piece, she's gon na, add it's also gon na, be true as well. So, like I said, on thinner areas of my hair, where it's like my hairline. The leap of my hair and stuff, like that, we start off with one and any quiz and then in areas in the middle portion of my here with my hair, is quite dense and thick. We start off with two pieces of yarn acquiring one strand, we're gon na make sense so yeah. So that's the pattern we followed for this hair, as you can see, as that is securing the ends into position, we're gon na curl it so no braiding all the way down so pretty much, creating it so bunches, carnations taking like chunks at a time to curl And this would make sure that the ends are wavy. If you want a more defined curl, you wanna, probably one at a time. Yes, one piece of bread at a time and I'm gon na show you guys how I did that at the end of this video. I'M gon na show you two different ways to credit at the end of the video, the first way, which is what she's doing esta that's gon na give you more of a wavy look now the only disclaimer about that wavy look is that it's not defined and It will drop so if you're going to do this, I recommend you curl in one piece of braid at a time and I'll show you guys exactly how to do that at the end of this video, so I decided to help them raid because it was gon Na take a long time: well I'm just trimming off any pieces of wool that was sticking out cuz, you know sometimes the the strands or even when you fit it in so some pieces, maybe skipping that longer than others. So you just wan na cut cut it up if you're not able to tuck it in so yeah. It is here. It literally feels like braiding hair. The only issue is when we were breathing. Sometimes, if you don't pull your fingers all the way through, it tends to tangle at the bottom. That'S literally the only negative part about this, but afterwards the finished look is stunning. There are no stray hairs to worry about. Really you don't have to trim so much after when you've done. All you have to do is curl the ends. If you want to curl ends, you can burn the ends. If you choose to, I like the crud ends, because I just like that like free look that it has so yeah, that's what I went for as I mentioned earlier. Instead, it's trying to give me that leave you so she's having to chunk up all the ends together. So the fact that she's, adding like maybe five or six pieces per rod, it's gon na, create a very like big curl at the bottom, which is gon na, make it wavy. And if you want more of a tight, more define lasting curls. I recommend that you to one per like one braiding, hair per rod and then also when you're curling is that you want to make sure you twisting it before you curl it. If you don't twist it before you curly the clothes are gon na form. It will format, but it will be very, very, very, very like it's not gon na be noticeable at all. So you want to make sure you're twisting hair around your promo. It'S just so. The clothes can come out more defined, cuter bounce ear like a bouncing baby girl. You don't so yeah go ahead and twist like virtually and finish you guys it'll come out so cute anyway, so I decided to help them braid, because you know this hair was up to my butt okay long longer than my butt, actually I'm quite short, so yeah. I decided to help because we were there for a long time. So if I didn't put my hands on his hair like we would have to finish the next day so yeah, that was the only thing she's just super long, so we took a long time. So, as you can see, it's that started off with one added to and it's just adding two more and then we're gon na braid all the way down. Remember my very first, not least video. I told you guys that, after you took your race, you didn't add some more just to give you more thickness to your braids. We decided not to do that, because this hair was really gon na, be super long, so we didn't want to make it any longer than it needed to be and plus I was already happy with this size, so I was like okay. Why not it's just we get a day's and you cannot really shoot you guys. I love the box part you guys. This is the very first time I've got saying. This is the second time I've gotten all these braids. This is the very first time I know this bracelet don't hurt, and now I know the difference now between the many techniques. The way I add hair, as opposed to when you wrap it around and do the other feeding technique, it makes a difference in how it feels on the person's head. Okay, it may not make a difference in how it looks to you as a grater or the clients. However, in terms of tightness and how like how it hurts, I can feel me differences Harry. We did not hurt after I you know after we got done, but I was the first one I when I thought I did. I think I went to this Brady store called. My extension is my shade, but they didn't know his braids on me and I swear. I took those braids out in less than two weeks because after two weeks it's to hurt and the whole purpose of knotless braces, so it doesn't have tension. It doesn't hurt at the base of your hair, like the chili like that, hair was beautiful. It looks great. It looks amazing, however, it hurt like hell - and I just couldn't understand, like it's supposed to be a healthy technique, but when you overdo it, it's unknown. Oh for me, I'm sorry but anyways. That was literally the only issue I had with you know in terms of comparison, we're taking hits. I like this technique better that I taught my students. I think it's healthier on the person's hair. It'S faster and it's just you know, Bom anyways, so esta and Maureen. They are my students, they actually just graduated from the eight weeks - training program that I have you guys make sure you check graders Club on Instagram, so you can see all their amazing working all the awesome things that we're doing in class class is always so much Fun you guys cuz we're doing what we love and we're having fun with it. So it's just always. You know I'm gon na make sense so much so it was just really really like a very fun experience for myself in them as well. So if you are interested in my breathing classes, if you're not in Vegas and cheer me on, feel free to subscribe to the online version of these, I don't know if the online version would be available by the time. I pulled this video. It'S not make sure you check back, maybe two weeks from now or just check this constantly check my website. You know also announce it all night, I'm a youtuber as well. So yeah, you guys. I hope you guys are excited about that. Like this program, the chili was talking down to the teeth. I made sure I hit every problem that any breeder could possibly have in the learning process and the chili broke it down to your understanding into layman's term. So we're really the me dive game. So it's amazing: it's such an amazing program and I'm looking forward to extending it online for you guys to you know, be able to access it. It'S just I don't know it's just it's just really. The curriculum was structured in a way that made it easy to follow and every lessons before that kind of carries over. So it's like you're, always touching every single aspect of hair and breathing. So it's really amazing anyway. So what I'm doing right now is that I just unravel the cross-ice can see it's quite wavy, so I cut off the tip just so it doesn't tangle up and I throw up the curls apart and it gives you this really really cute wavy look now the Only issue is that this does not. Last okay, you didn't like a puffed up on me. I could have done it again. However, I wanted something that lasts longer. So that's why I had to go back again and do like one one curl it one one one. Instead of curling it as a bunch anyway, so we're just using the whole, you know it depends up on this hair. Literally this wool or yarn literally acts like braiding hair acts like a real hair acts like human hair. It can do blocks with it. You can do twists with it. It looks in actually does not look like you it's. It does not look like it's the most amazing fiber. I don't know what fiber it is, but it's amazing and I can't wait for you guys to get your hands on it. Like I said, if you're interested check out my website check out the link in the bio - it's not by you check out the link in the description. This is not Instagram, but I also have my Instagram alright, so we started acting like we were just an expression. I don't know why I just I don't have it we're trying to use those roots and that's how technique. But this is wool, like I said the same necklace you wanna apply. I felt, like I always said a lot of streets because I'm see it didn't hold. So it wasn't like I had gone back individually to CRO one that it actually held but um yeah. So I really love this here. I'M gon na show you guys how long it is minute. I'M spinning cellphones looking good okay, I was looking online, so yeah stay tuned, okay, so this is what I was referring to when I said going back and to crawl the the braiding hair one piece at a time. So what I do first, is I twist the hair all the way down. The reason I twist the hair is that when I unravel it from the mod it still stays thick and curly when it's loose, the form doesn't show as much and it doesn't last as long so it makes it stronger when you twist it and then crawl. So I started from the bottom twist the bottom and then I roll up the perm rods into the parts that I'm gon na be curling. And then I clip it away and that's that and then I dip it into hot water make sure your water is pouring hot to make sure you get help like I am. If you need, I have my towel around me. I have told my hands tell everywhere telling my face. Tell everybody where to protect yourself and then I started spraying spritz this part. I don't think it's necessary honestly, because it's not real hair, so I don't think it applies. However, less is do it just just to pretend I could give me something, and then what I like to do is scrunch it up. So that way the accessory falls out and then I unravel the perm rods the same way, no actually counterclockwise from how I wraps it up just so. I don't break up the cross form. You know the formation of the cross and yeah go ahead and repeat this process all through the hair and then when you're dabbing. Do you want wring it down boys make sure you bunch it up once or the pros are still intact and voila. Then you have it, you guys, thank you guys. So much watching have a nerd in God.

Samantha Sunshine: I've been doing yarn braids for years! I used it in my exes hair, my daughter's and my little cousin. More people should use it because it's so lightweight. Only set back its washing. You MUST make sure it's dry before you lay down for bed, or put up in ponytail. Otherwise it smells like mildew.

Mahogany Coy: Stores need to keep these in stock. This yarn make the braid look neater and last longer for twist. Can you do a video doing Twist with this hair

Della Jones: I forgot I had some of this and decided to try it. This is my favorite to do box braids with. It’s light and amazing to grip and the braids don’t slide. I used a paddle brush to separate the ends and give it a really good feather. They also sealed well after dipping. If it wasn’t for this video I wouldn’t have tried.

S. I.: I'm 32 now....but my cousin and I used to love this style when I was in high school!!! In DC yarn twist used to be popular....but my cousin and I didn't know how to do twist so we did yarn braids in each other's hair instead I also never learned how to separate Kanekalon hair to make the braids even ...and with yarn it is already separated so Cute

Erica Garza: Omg, your hair is gorgeous! I used to wear mine like this in the early 90's through the years. I just purchased some Brazilian wool yarn hair and I'm going to try this style. I love it. And they did a great job.

Misfit B: You can get the same yarn hair on eBay in any color you want 2 pack for $4.49 I believe. And not the $36.00 she is asking for I’m so sick of people trying to get over on others.
