Hey guys welcome to a new video. This is a quick little tip hair tutorial regarding milkmaid braids nutmeg brains are adorable. They are timeless, it's something that always comes back, but I very often see women wearing their milkmaid braids like this, which is perfectly fine. Of course. It looks super cute from the front very cute from the side as well, but in my personal opinion it kind of looks weird from the back, because it's just a parting and nothing else. In my opinion, it's not the most flattering hairstyle for the back of your head and there is a very easy way to remedy this. If you should want to do that and to wear it in a way that is a bit more flattering 360. I guess so. That'S what I'm gon na do today, I'm gon na show you how to do my weight braids with no parting down the back. I am wearing some hair extensions for this demonstration. Just so you can see a little bit better. You don't need them. Of course, you're gon na do this on your own hair perfectly well, this is pretty obvious, but if we don't want to have a parting in the back, we need to not make a party down the back. So I am going to split my hair into two sections: I'm just going to grab my hair kind of below my hairline grab it and separate it into two. So now I'm gon na make my actual braids and when I do that, I'm going to keep one of these sides pulled forward. And if you want, you could even just clip this away so that it's out of the way I'm going to take the other side and I'm actually going to pull it to the opposite side of my head, so that I have it in for me now. And I am going to braid it like this pulled in that direction, so I'm just gon na separate this into three and braid. It you, okay, I'm gon na tie it off with a little hair elastic like me. Normally would so that's one break done. I'M gon na let down the other half of my hair and I'm going to do the same thing, but in the opposite direction. So I'm going to pull it to the other side. Gon na leave this braid over my shoulder, pull this to the other side and do the same thing. So I'm going to braid it pull in this direction. So now that I have my two braids that are already crossed in the back and laying nice and flat in the proper directions that I'm actually going to want them to go in, I'm going to pull them up and just finish my hairstyle like I would regular Milkmaid braids as well, so I'm going to tuck the ends of one of the braids underneath the other braids and bring this down with some bobby pins and then the tail of the other braid it's gon na do the same thing on the other side. Now I always like to slide my boy pins in underneath the larger braids instead of over it, so you don't actually end up seeing the white pins in the end. I just feel like it looks better when the things are a bit discreet, so that leaves you with a hairstyle. It looks a little something like this. It still has the simplicity and the fundus of milkmaid braids, but it's just a little bit more grown-up. Maybe and again I really like that there is no parting in the back. It provides a bit more volume in the back as well for any fellow flat-headed. Ladies, like me, that can use a bit of volume in the back here yeah. This is just my preferred way of doing milkmaid braids, so I hope this was helpful. If the parting has been something that has been bothering you as well, then here is a way that you can easily fix that if you enjoyed this video, don't forget to give a thumbs up and subscribe to my channel for lots, more beauty and lifestyle contents. If you would like to support me through patreon or my verge throat I'll be links in the description box below, thank you so much for your support. There is another video here I think you might also enjoy. You can go watch next. Thank you. So much for watching and I'll see you very soon in my next video bye,

Amanda Teoh: This is perfect because I can finally stop worrying the whole day about whether I parted my hair evenly and people are judging

MJL Crane: This is a game-changer! I also do not like the parting in the back, and I can never get the bumps near your ears (from the braids being folded upwards) to look even. This solves all of those issues <3

Kat Bee: I will definitely try this. My hair is hip length so when I usually do milkmaid braids I end up looking more like Cersei Lannister than some fresh danced girl coming out of a barn with the family’s daily portion of milk. I hope this works!

HimynameisAverie: There's also another way to do this (if a little more complicated)! Basically, you make a Dutch braid that wraps all the way around your head, picking up all the hair as you go. You start behind one ear, braid up to the forehead, then down and around. Once you make it back to the ear, you wrap the length of the braid on top of the messy bit, and pin it to the top of your head! I've never mastered it, but when you know what you're doing, it looks great.

Mouse Bones: My great grandmother wore her hair like this and I've never been able to figure it out. Thank you

RageQuitGirl: I always thought people did this hairstyle the “wrong” way (how you showed first with the parting) because their hair was too short to wrap all the way around the head! I’ve always wrapped mine the “right” way simply because my hair is so long (it wraps almost twice around my head)

Janey Ellis: Thank you, from a "fellow flat-headed lady"! It's always a struggle when you think you've mastered a cute hairstyle, then you look at it from the side and realise it isn't so cute after all, hahaha :D

Squeaky McSqueaky: Oh that is such an easy and useful suggestion! I love milkmaid braids but always have this issue. Thank you for the video!

Koopa Kid: I have an undercut and this method might help me avoid that weird gap that I get when I attempt to do this style normally. Thank you for making this video!

Kelley Blair: This is so simple, and yet brilliant! I never even thought of doing it like this. I definitely will wear this tomorrow!

Selkie Morien: I alway did that, when my hair was longer, never called them Milkmaid braids though, but "fake crown braid". Now that my hair is just below shoulder lenght I tried Milkmaid braids for the first time ever because my hair doesn't reach around anymore. So this is unfortunately not an option for me at the moment. But it sure looks pretty! :D

Lauren: I love this method of doing milkmaid braids! I actually did my hair in this exact method today! :joy: Quite fun to see you make a tutorial while having my hair done like it!

Exactpi: I don't know why I've never done this. It's such a logical fix. Thanks for spiffing up my braids!

Sair G: I'm so glad I'm not the only person who dislikes the look of a parting in the back! At the front is fine but the back looks a bit unfinished to me with the parting visible. I do it this way too and it's a little change that makes it look a lot better in my opinion.

knm_kauai: This is actually brilliant from a comfort perspective. I can’t stand when my hair is being pulled the “wrong” way. Drives me crazy all day. So if I want a braid to go in a certain direction I need to angle it that way before I even start. You both remove the center back part while simultaneously encouraging the hair to go in the “right” direction with this method and it’s genius.

Emiel Terzieff-Godefroy: omg can i just say this is genius also the sole reason im growing my hair is because i want to play with beautiful hair styles like this!

Gypsee Savvy: This is perfect!! I have lock it extentions and if I were to part my hair, you'd see the wefts, not cute and very limiting for hairstyles. But I can adapt this and do all kinds of braid styles. I feel ridiculous for not thinking of this myself. So elegantly simple!!

katiedidnt315: Thank you so much for this video! This looks so much better than my previous attempts at a similar style. I do my hair like this a couple of times a week now. You have revolutionized this hair style for me, and I love it!

Lydia Perlick: I have long dark straight hair that I love to do this with, and I always did it the first way you showed...this new technique looks and works amazing! By the way, did you cut your own bangs in the style they are in this video? How did you cut them they look amazing!!!!

Ray Thornton: I love this, very simple and a nice switch up from wearing my hair down or in a messy bun/ponytail!

Kaitlin Crane: Thank you for this tutorial! I love milkmaid braids- such an easy cute hairstyle to get your hair up! But people would tease me because of it looking a little weird on the sides and back- this is the perfect solution!

Suki Baby: Thank you for this video. The style definitely looks more put together, especially the back of the head. No parting in the back. Of course, this really makes sense. I enjoyed this tutorial a lot. You’re awesome

Dee S: Why did I not think of this before. Thank you. Tomorrow is sorted.

Yawning Moon: This is an adorable hairstyle! Can't wait to try it, even though I think my hair's not long enough yet. But it looks very simple to do

EvelineEveryday: Ohhh I've always wanted to try this, but it seemed so complicated and I really don't like the parting down the middle! I haven't been able to go to the hairdresser in ages, so this hairstyle is perfect

ItIsMeMaybe: Thank you so much for this tutorial! My hair is too long for the milkmaid braids with the parting and I can never get the braids to lie flat at the ears and get the parting straight ... THIS IS A LIFE SAVER! I love how this looks! I think it will be my summer go to. A nice sturdy updo. That and my favorite little victorian inspired updo that I think is also inspired by a style I saw in one of your videos! <3

Stephani Lynn: That's so simple! I never thought about doing it that way thank you for making this video

Lauren Lepinski: This is brilliant and one of my favorite styles you've done! It will help my scalp not burn in the sun! Thank you!

Jacey Garden Wray: I’m so trying this style out today! <3

Pepper H: Thank you! I've been watching your videos for just a few weeks and I really like your tutorials. They're calm and simple, easy to follow. I've got hair similar to yours, with a bit more length that I have no clue what to do with. I've been wearing it plaited for decades and only just now I'm starting to actually style it. I'd been struggling with this hairstyle, so you uploaded this at the right time for me!

Michelle Annette: this is so perfect! so easy to do and I need my hair out of the way for work :)

spacelovesdisco: This was sooo easy to follow. Thank you

Cloe Ries: I love this hairstyle, I wear it almost every day since march <3 It's so cute

Cassie: Thank you so much for this. Your tutorial was very easy to follow I can finally do something to my hair now that is not a pony tail!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU ♥️

Katia Romero: Thank you! These are easy to make. I love braids (so much that my boyfriend draws me always with braids) and these are cute. I have never seen them before, but I'm gonna try. My hair is middle back lenght, but I'll manage

connie stockill: Great tutorial, quick and to the point with a really good idea, I never liked the part so stopped doing my hair like this but now I'm excited to try it out

Debora Genadieva: The crossed braids are a look themselves

Essie Nelson: I need to try this ❤️ It looks so pretty!

cocoricottage: This is the tutorial I've been waiting for ! Thank you !

Jen Mac: This is perfect timing! I’m planning on trying this hairstyle this weekend and was dreading the parted back.

Mocha Hammy: LOVE LOVE LOVE! I have a flat head and bangs so I wasn’t how to make milkmaid braiding work. The other tutorials made me look like hot flat head mess!! This is the easiest non-complicated tutorial for milkmaid braids ! I even watched a couple ads for you. Thank you so much

Leanne M: For some reason, I never even thought of doing this. It works REALLY well for thick haired people like me because I always felt like traditional milkmaid braids looked way too fat on my head and added extra volume to my already big head/face. Having the bottom portions of the hair on the head like this means less volume, less large head/face. Love it!

lena L.: Omg thank you so much! This is so simple and good looking!

Steph S-N: Cute and easy, exactly what I love. Thank you.

Irma Andrea Rios: I love this! Thank you! Now to grow out my hair so I can try it

Hilly: Love how down to earth you are ! I've started a vintage-style based channel, and all i can say is: best community ever!

Stephanie Guzman: I love this! So simple yet so ingenious!

Hebah Khalid: I love braids but i’m still learning how to do them, this hairstyle looks easier! Thank you

Radioactivepenquin: This has changed my hair game. I have long hair but work with kids in a humid environment and doing my hair this way with a thin scarf braided through and knotted on top holds it up all day with only a few pins. THANKS!!!

Sarah Merryman: Simple, polished, and pretty. Can't wait to try this!

Natalie Putnam: You are brilliant, I’ve always thought the same for milk maid braids!!! Thanks so much!!!

Kitty Dolan: Love it! It's a good way to do the milkmaid braids and beautiful!

Mampfiii M: So simple and I would never had tried it this way on my own. I am stunned. Thank you for sharing

Julie Davi: SO SIMPLE. SO PERFECT. Thank you!

Tilly Devine: This is revolutionary! Thank you so much!!!!

Liv: I’ve been doing it the hard way for years (Dutch braiding all the way around my head) because I didn’t think there was an easier way to do it without an odd part in the back !! Thank you so much !!

Poop Mouth Jones: This is so beautiful. Definitely going to try this

LadyDragonbane: To me the parting feels more "authentic" but I love this for more dressed up occasions.

Katie Newton: Awesome! My inability to make a nice part has always kept me from doing this hairstyle. This is fantastic!

Heyolives1: Love this. Thank you for the cute new look.

Nailia Essi: Such a helpful tip! Thank you :)

Redhead: Yeaaaah, I have long thin hair and I really don't like it when my scalp show off when I style them! Thank you for this video, I can become reconciled with milk braids then. :D

Peaches Harrison: GENIUS! Such a simple solution. Love it!

Gabriel Hanssens: another technique is to split your hair in four, cross the two top sections and then braid as you normally do

Mearkat1: Damn, why did I have to cut off all of my hair during quarantine

ThatGrumpyChick: I've wanted to find a neat and tidy hairstyle for everyday wear and for housework that wasn't 50 steps or stupid messy looking. This is such an awesome style I'm going to try in the morning ☺️

Raghad Alashoor: Girl you are a life saver I was looking for a solution for ages Thank you

Pink Heart: Wow I always wanted this hairstyle but thought it was too difficult. Thank you for making it easier

AliCat93: Love this! I have tape in extensions and this is the best way to hide them but still have a cute hairstyle!

Lisa Kleinehexe: Thank you so much, I was always wondering, why this hairstyle looked so odd on my flat head and definitely needed this enlightenment!

ale.maria: THIS IS SO OBVIOUS AND SUCH A GREAT IDEA. I can't believe how easy it was and how much better it looks. Thank you!

Emily Smith: I love this. So simple but not something I would have thought of. I’ll be doing this tomorrow

Lily of The Valley: This is BRILLIANT. I wear this style all the time and was always bothered by the back. Thank you for this!!

Aleksandra Woś: Oh thank you! My braids in a front are thinner then before and hiding my lighter ends (I'm natural blond) is a little bit complicated but back braids look a way more better and fuller! :D I will try this again in the future for sure :D
