This a custom color job, created by a stylist at a salon, using a professional system not available in beauty supply stores and which requires a valid cosmetology license to purchase--no I do not know the name. It cannot be recreated precisely and the shade looks different on me every time she touches it up since she blends it up on the spot and it changes shades every time I wash my hair. We have been lifting my hair lighter and lighter over time using developer (which is not bleach) since October of 2015. I will not post a video on how to color because I am not a licensed cosmetologist and I will not give directions on how to use chemicals that I do not have a good understanding of. If you'd like help with achieving this color, please consult a LICENSED professional who specializes in natural hair because coloring will alter your hair and can damage depending on your texture and the process.
Hey y'all today, I'm doing a chunky braid out, because I did that octo curl video and I wanted to see if there's a big difference between using the octo girl and doing a chunky braid out. So I'm starting off on wet hair. I just shampooed and deep conditioned and I'm gon na be using the African pride moisture miracle leave-in to detangle. Then I'm going to add my moisture miracle curl cream and I'm gon na do my braids out and I'm actually not a big fan of braid outs, because I really don't like the curl shape that I get on my hair personally. But I'm hoping to get a similar curl pattern from what I got that I got with the octo curl, because I'm doing them in really big sections, I'm really going to be doing eight braids. Now I am expecting to get a tighter pattern, since I'm working with three strands of my own hair versus one big strand of my own hair and two of the tales from the octo curl. And if you don't know what the octo curl is that I keep talking about, go ahead and check this video out right here. You definitely want to find out what the octo curl is and what it looks like on natural hair. It gave me some balm stretch. Curls, but a lot of people were asking me how it does. It differ from just a regular chunky braid out, so I wanted to see myself in theory. I kind of knew so I decided to go ahead and do a video to see oh and I'm also adding a rod to my ends, because these sections are really big and I don't want to coil my ends and then they get bushings and I kind of Want to mimic how the end of the October look. So basically, the tricks of my braid outs are to braid as tight as I can and make sure my hair is detangle and do not mix any hair up when I'm braiding and normally when I do a braid and curl. I start riding once I get a little more than halfway down, but I'm gon na only ride the ends today because, like I said, I'm trying to mimic the October now. This is the next day and I will say in comparison to the octo curl. This took much longer to dry, like my roots are still damp and honestly I had places to go people to see in place to make, so I went ahead and separated it, because I'm not going to do anything but fluff up the roots anyway, I messed them Up so just went ahead and started taking down, so I'm going to be using the five essential oils as well from this collection, and I'm gon na go ahead and start separating, and I can tell already it ain't gon na be comparable to the octo curl, because Those curls were so stretched. They were more uniformed and gave me more of a wave curl pattern, and this is just giving me like onion form Pringles all over my head. It'S not bad. My hair is definitely defined. It feels moisturized but y'all. I just do not like braid out curl patterns on my hair. Like I know, no curl is the same, but I just don't get a consistent, curl pattern when I do braid outs. But what I do like about braid outs is that they're really easy and quick to do so. This is something that I resort to when I'm being lazy and just into wash and do something to my hair, but it's not something I do often, if I'm gon na be trying to get a stretched, wavy curl pattern, I'm definitely gon na, be using my October. So make sure you guys check that video out cuz. The results have me shook now that I'm all separated I'm gon na go ahead and fluff my hair and that's it y'all. This is pretty much the style. I did get a cute shape and I did get a kook a cute pattern or not saying that I don't like my hair, I'm just not a fan of this curl pattern. I'D rather do a twist out a chunky twist, our three strand twist or use the octo curve, I'm trying to get some curls but bright out so definitely my least favorite type of curls. I love my three strand twist, they don’t dry all the way either, however I prefer my hair to be damp when I untwist it in order for my natural curl pattern to blend in with the twist out. Then I let it swell over five to six days that it holds.
