Half Up Half Down Braids With Curly Natural Hair (No Weave!) | Jaichanellie

You know the braids in the front down in the back, except we're going to try it on our natural hair. Also hit that notification bell. So you know anytime, I'm posting a new video., So my hair is freshly washed and I just put like a leave-in in it.. That'S it., It's still slightly damp, even though I washed it two days ago., So we're gon na make it do what it do. So right now, I'm gon na go ahead and part from ear to ear, to get my sections out for my braids., Just a little Tip from natural hair, Jaila always part with your fingers first, because your fingers can feel a lot better than that. Comb can and then it'll be way easier for you to part with that comb, because if you try to go in straight with that, comb, sis you're going to struggle. All right y'all. So we got our sections for our braids in the front.. This is all going to be like our curly in the back.. Let me show you what the back of my head looks: like. Now that we have parted out our sections, we're going to go ahead and do our cornrows in the front and honestly, i'm thinking like a maximum of six braids in the front. What y'all thinking? I'M not trying to be cornrowing all day. Y'all know if you've seen my previous videos, I'm not the best at cornrowing okay. I'll try to link some videos of my cornrow skills above, but it's not that good.. I am going to take my Shine n' Jam just to clean up my parts., All right y'all, so these parts are the hardest and most important part of this style. Okay, so you are going to see me use the Shine n' Jam. Once I part with the comb, I'm gon na go in with the Shine n' Jam and then I'm gon na part. It again just to make sure those parts are crispy. Okay and I'm gon na try to get it as defined as possible because the better your parts look, the better your braids will actually look and we need all the help we can get in the braiding department, okay. Y'all. So we have a total of one. Two. Three parts on this side. - I'm gon na clip this over here and we're gon na prepare to braid our hair., I'm gon na. Add this clip just to make sure I'm not grabbing any loose hairs. I am going to lightly detangle my hair. Most important thing. For me, when I'm braiding is using my edge control., I'm going to be using the Kiss colors and care edge, fixer glued maximum hold., The smoother it is the easier it should be for me to go ahead and braid it up. So I'm going in with my edge brush and just smoothing it before. I actually start my cornrow. Baby. If you thought this was a cornrow tutorial, I'm so sorry you are sorely mistaken. When I braid y'all, I close my eyes and just try to feel what's going on up there, but essentially you are plaiting and picking up hair at the same time.. That'S the only way I can describe it.. Hopefully you are a visual learner and you can learn from watching me. I'll, try to show you one more time the whole process and try to get your cornrow straighter than mine. So this is the braid, and now i am going to braid all the way down, because that is the style that we're going for.. Okay, y'all we're nearing the end, so I'm going to stop the braid here. Wet the ends and I'm going to go in with some curling products. Okay. So we have this Maui Moisture just a little bit of this to actually curl the ends of my hair. Then, on top of that, I'm going to take the Maui Moisture. Gel. Here is our first braid. It is flying.. So let me go ahead and finish. The braids on this side and then we'll do the braids on this side and that'll be the hard work. [, Music, Kabwasa Jazz & Blues ]. Here are our cornrows.. That is crooked chile.. How did we do? Let me go ahead and do our edges. Now we just got ta work on the back. Now my first thought is just to go in and basically do a wash and go in the back. A stretched wash and go. I'll be using the same products that I used in the front of my head. So the Maui Moisture, curl smoothie, as well as the gel. I'm gon na, go in with a slight spritz of water.. I'M only going to take a little bit of that curl smoothie., I'm adding a little bit more water before I go in with the gel. We're going to use the Denman to really get those curls. Popping. Let me go ahead and take off my scarf, so I can show y'all what the hairstyle is. Looking like, so far., Here's our hairstyle. [ Music, Christine Nguyen & Justice, Gbada MOTHERLAND, ] She's, coming together. Okay, it's coming together, real nice.. Just so you know, I do have a lot of shrinkage, so my hair will probably dry somewhere up here.. I do want to stretch this a little bit.. I think I'm going to use my Revair dryer to stretch my wash and go.. This is what our hair is. Looking like., I put my hair in the Revair on low heat tension. Setting is a two for exactly one minute 60 seconds and we still have defined curls, but they are elongated just a little bit.. So I think that is what we're going to do. All right y'all. We are almost finished with this style., So I went ahead and put our hair up in the back for safe keeping.. The last thing we have to decide on is whether we want to add beads to our hair.. I have this little bead threader, which is super convenient., So all you got to do is put the beads on there just like this., Your natural hair goes through this.. So natural hair goes through it like that, and then you just press the beads up and you wrap your hair around the last bead.. Let me go ahead and put something on my face and I'll come back to y'all with the final look. Beads, No beads. What should we do? Let me know in the comment: section. All right y'all. So here is the final look at my hair., So we opted for no beads for right now, but if I decide to add some I'll go ahead and post some pictures with the beads in my hair., What do you think of the hairstyle Y'all at first? I thought I wanted my hair to be like super laid down and defined, but now I'm kind of digging when the back has a little bit more volume in it.
