My Favorite Hairstyles For The Curly Girl Transition Phase

These are my top 5 hairstyles for when I want to go out and look more put together. I absolutely loved these looks while going through the transition phase because the focus is more on the hairstyle rather than the curls. Let me know if ya'll have any questions or if theres anything else you want to see! xoxo

The best bobby pins ever!! https://www.sallybeauty.com/hair/hair-...

Hey guys welcome back, so my first hairstyle is literally so easy anybody can do it. So I'm just taking this front section and I'm just gon na be twisting it back adding a little bit of hair as I go and just fastening it with a bobby pin. I always use my teeth to get the bobby pins open, so that's just a little trick for you, so you could honestly just leave it with um. The one side pinned back, but I'm just gon na go ahead and do it to the other side as well. I'M just kind of fluffing it up and making it look. How I want guys, that's it. This is literally the easiest hairstyle ever and it takes me less than a minute to do so. I'M pretty sure anybody could do this hairstyle, so this next one is super. Easy too, and I wore my hair like this all the time when I first started the curly girl method, because my problem area is the top of my head, the crown area where it just doesn't curl as well. So I really like to display the underneath of my hair. So that way you can kind of see the pearls a little better, so yeah I just sectioned my hair off how much hair I'm gon na want in my bun and now I'm just twisting it around. Taking an elastic and putting it around the whole button - and I kind of did cut this off a little bit - sorry guys now, I'm just taking some bobby pins and I'm gon na be fluffing my bun and pinning all the spots that I want to stay. I'M just gon na be fluffing fluffing fluffing. You can make it look, however, you want now it's all fluffed and yeah. This is all I do. This is my half up fun style and I love it, and I always wear my hair like this, because it's super easy and I just love it. Ok, next hairstyle is one of my favorites for sure. I'M just gon na start by parting, my hair in middle now that my hair is parted down the middle. I'M going to be doing Dutch braids on both sides and I'm gon na do my best to explain what I'm doing. But if you can't really tell go ahead and look up different videos on Dutch braids, it's super easy to do once you get the hang of it, but I know that it can be hard when you're, just starting out. So all you have to do is section your hair into three different parts, just like a normal braid, but instead of going over your strands, you're gon na be going under, there's honestly, no difference other than going under instead of over. So I'm going to go ahead and slow it down for you just so you can kind of see exactly what I'm doing so you're going to take a piece from each side, you're going to add it to whatever strand you're on and then you're gon na go Under the middle strand, that's it it's super easy again. You'Re gon na take a piece from whichever side you're on and you're gon na go under the middle strand. Practice really does make perfect guys. I love playing with hair, and so I just have always played with braids and stuff, so I'm kind of used to it. So, just if you can't get it, that's alright just keep practicing and I promise you'll get it so yeah, I'm just gon na braid. A few inches down and then secure that with an elastic now, I'm just fluffing my braids kind of just pulling the pieces out, so it is nice and full. This is my favorite part of braids. I love just pulling them apart and just making them look. Thicker and fuller than they really are now I'm just doing the same exact thing to the other side to the side. Sometimes I know a guy fall down. Oh, my now that I have my braids, then I'm going to put them together and I'm going to secure that with another elastic. So now that my braids are done, I am literally just taking a piece under my braids twisting it and pinning it back. I'M basically pinning it over that hair tie that elastic, so that way, you're not going to be able to see it and plus it's just going to add a lot of texture and it's just so cute. I love it and I'm doing the same thing to the other side, just taking a section of hair twisting it and then I'm going to pin it on the opposite side over that elastic, and once I have all my pins in, I am just going to kind Of pull the pieces out and fluff it up just so it looks nice and thick. That'S it for this hairstyle guys. I seriously love this style so much. I think it looks so cute with curly hair, so yeah give it a try guys, it's so cute. My next stare style is another super, easy one and it's super quick. So basically, I'm just going to be doing a Dutch braid, like I did in one of the other hairstyles except I'm going to be starting at my part, so you're, just gon na take a section from whichever side, you're on and you're gon na go under the Middle piece see the world, it takes everything and once I have it fully, braided I'm just gon na go down a few inches and then secure it with an elastic. Now, I'm just once again fluffing my braids and just giving it some extra texture and some extra thickness. Now that my braids complete, I am just taking all of my hair and putting it in a ponytail, I'm just kind of fluffing it around and kind of pulling the top pieces out to make it look more voluminous and pinning whatever pieces are sticking out see the Sun, sometimes I know we're gon na fall down, hold my that's it for this hairstyle. I seriously love this hairstyle so much it's so cute and it didn't take me long at all to do okay, so my last name style. I had so many people asking me to do a tutorial on this, so here we go. I'M just gon na be taking the front piece and twisting it back and then securing it on the back of my head with bobby pin and then I'm going to be doing the same thing to the other side. I'M just gon na be taking the front section. Twisting it and then I'm gon na secure it over that first piece that I pinned that's it now, I'm gon na be taking the next section right underneath that first twist that I did and I'm gon na be twisting it and then pinning it right under that. Last piece that I pinned and now I'm doing the same exact thing to the other side, I'm just gon na be twisting pulling it back and then pinning it right underneath that piece that I just did and now I'm just gon na keep doing that same step. All the way down could be taking a piece twisting it pulling it back and then just pinning it right under that last twist, this hairstyle seems like it's hard to do, but it's really not guys. There is really nothing to it. You'Re just twisting and then pinning twisting pinning you don't have to be super neat with this, because, honestly, I think the Messier that you are the cuter it looks so my hair is very thick and I don't use very many bobby pins. I think, on this whole hairstyle, I probably use about 25 bobby pins, so yeah, that's it when it's all pinned back and now for my favorite part, which is just pulling out some pieces and fluffing it up and honestly. This is the part that just makes it look a little less done and I don't know just more cute and everyday wear so I feel like I have fluffed my hair for like an eternity, but I really did not take me long at all this whole hairstyle, Probably took about 15 minutes, so really that is not bad at all. I hope you guys enjoyed these hairstyles and I hope that it was helpful. I'M gon na try to post a link of the bobby pins that I use down in the description so they're from Sally's and they're super inexpensive, so yeah. That'S it thanks! Guys I'll see you later bye.

A Quezada: Did you really get straight to the point? I LOVE IT!!!

lipsohlips97: I Love how your hairstyles are actually like stylish and innovative. Something I could wear on a normal day or to like a wedding! Big youtubers have some crazy generic hairstyles out there, but these were soooo pretty! Thank you!

Robin Weishair: THANK YOU for this! I’m only a week into the CGM and it’s nice to see options for the transition phase. I would love to know how long you’ve been doing the CGM and learn your daily & weekly routine. Maybe do a review of products? Love your videos!

Radiant Style: I have 2B hair and my problem area is the hair around my crown. I'm encouraged to see that your crown is forming waves. I've been CGM for two months and your video gives me hope.

Derrick Jennifer Watkins: Love these styles! I rock braids and twists a lot as well. My Topsy Tail tool is great for detailing a twist or holding a ponytail wrap instead of using a bobby pin. I couldn't even get a bobbypin to stay in my super thick hair until I got the ones from Sallys. They are awesome!

Sandi Hester: I loved this! So often I see the same hairstyles demoed over and over - some of these were different! Great video!

Kacy Sexton: I'm really hoping you do more videos, loved this! I also love your simple approach to cgm

Meli V: Love all of these so much!! Your hair is beautiful as well. Thank you for sharing!

Jessica Knight: Your #1 style is my go to right now because my crown is my problem area too. I think it’s because it’s the area that is exposed to environmental elements the most. I live in a very dry windy climate. Thanks for these styling tips!

The Witch: I've always had waves like that since I was born, so not really transitioning but love the styles nonetheless!

irene sannino: I loved all of the styles! You are just so beautiful!

Summerlove: I wish you had new videos. I'd love to see more tips on curly hair.

mebeorangepeel: Love the color of your lipstick! Always thought the half down/half bun looked odd on me, never even thought to pull pieces it in the front.

Amy Medeiros: Very helpful; thanks!

Lykke Stitz: Thanks for tips. Love the color of your hair. ‍♀️

ashley mercado: Finally someone with similar hair as me !!

amber sky: Im really liking your vids. Your hair is so pretty!

Tara Dale: I am so happy that you used hair spray! I totally thought we had to give it up! Which one is it :)

Regan Standlick: Did you use a particular gel or anything to help you get the bun to help you get it on the top? I struggle with that?

Whatsername: Thanks for not having a super long intro!!!

Rashmi Ravindran: You have gorgeous hair!! Love the color and texture!!

staceymae32186: Will you do a video on your makeup here?

Yessenia Martinez: I used to always do the first hairstyle I try it now and it makes me look like a little kid

Mariana B. Sousa: What’s your Instagram? Your hair is beautiful!

ok?: My problem area is the back it’s more of a wavy and the front is so curly

April Voelkner: That you I needed this

Ziaberry: Helpful video but I always cringe when I see people open bobby pins with their teeth. DON'T DO THAT. It will screw up your teeth and eventually leave an actual dent in them. It's not that hard to slide a finger into the pin to open it, stop damaging your teeth!

I P: I tried that one starting around 3:20 and like it.

SoulCranell: Well I had one question how do you comb your hair like do you remove the notes and if yes then how, can you make video on that

castle of shadows: Just wanna point out how cute you are ❤️, and btw the likes are currently 666 i'm not one to ruin it

Silverhaired59: I put a groove in the bottom of my front tooth opening a Bobby pin. So I advise you try a different way to open them.

Annette Gonzales: I'm hella late to this party lol but I love these looks u seem to be all tender headed the faces u make make me hurt

ILY S M: How Tf do you have 95 subs like th you deserve at least 1 miljoen geez

Josh and Cortlee Austin: What song is playing in the background?
