Hey everybody today, I'm here with a hair tutorial on a new Mohawk due and to get the look. I used these products right here, all of which I got from thrive market. Most of you know I shop on thrive, a lot for organic groceries at up to 30 % below retail, but they actually also have a really good hair care section. So I'll show you guys exactly how I used each item to get a dope defying style. Alright, so it was wash day and my hair was definitely in need of a good cleaning, and I was really excited to try out the Thrive, shampoo and conditioner just to see how it worked on my hair first, of course I wet it all over. So it was saturated with water. Then I took the shampoo and massage did in primarily concentrating on my scalp to lift and remove any dirt, and I must say, a clean, my hair extremely extremely well. My hair was squeaky clean after I use this. Then I slathered on the coconut, vanilla conditioner to bring in some moisture and softness and I'm pretty heavy-handed with conditioner. I like to use a lot, so my hair is very thoroughly coated and this helps big-time with detangling. So while the conditioner is in, I do my detangle and stretch routine, which helps to keep my hair manageable and what I do is split, my hair down the middle and then working on one side at a time divided into smaller sections using a paddle brush. I'M gently brushing through to smooth it all out and get rid of the tangles gather it up and put it into a ponytail. This will help my roots to stay flat as they dry and then I'm gon na prep the hair to keep it all stretched once done. Rinse out the conditioner, then squeeze out excess water and this coconut, vanilla, conditioner left my hair smelling absolutely amazing. Even days later, it still smelled fresh and it still had that nice light scent to it. So I was really happy with that. Next, I use the juice organics color protect, leave-in spray, it's just a really lightweight leave-in, and then I left it alone and let my hair air dry overnight. So it's the next day right here and I'm all dry. So after each ponytail is taken down, I'm using a few drops of the Moroccan argan oil and I'm gon na work that, through for some shine and silkiness, then brush the section with that same paddle brush and afterwards. My hair is stretched and tangle free, and it gives me a blown-out look without any heat, so I like doing this because it just makes my hair a heck of a lot easier to work with and style and right here I was just saying that my hair Felt really soft after I took it down so yeah. It was really feeling good now on to the mohawk style. First, I'm making a center part going all the way down to the back. Then I'm gon na make a diagonal part starting right in front of my ears, going up towards my crown, like so beginning, at the edge of that first part, I'm making another diagonal part going downward and I brought those parts over to the other side to end Up with three sections like this, so each of these sections is going to have an exit braid and to do that, I'm making a parallel part. That'S about three-quarters, of an inch wide and then braid that section making the part for the next braid I'm gon na. Go straight across and the final braid is gon na go down, so I have my three sections and my three braids and I did the exact same thing on the other side. Now I'm using some of this Giovanni wicked texture, pomade applying that on to the loose hair to get everything sleek then put it into a ponytail this time. Eight, you guys really impressed me. I initially wanted to try it because, when I came across it on the website, it had a lot of good reviews. I wasn't sure, though, how it would work with my texture, but, as you can see, it really laid my hair. It got it super smooth and to hold actually lasted for me, so I'll definitely keep using this. It worked really really well for my hair for the hair. That'S left out we're gon na curl it so I'm taking our smaller sections of hair, then using this jib on a styling foam, I took three little pumps applied it evenly to the hair, then roll it up with a white perm rod, and I used about eight To ten rods for each ponytail at the bottom right here I had to use a couple: purple ones cuz. I ran out of the white, but anyway after it's all rotted up, I'm putting on a scarf to keep my edges, fritzsche free and then I set under the dryer for about an hour to dry and set. If you want a completely Heat free style, you can also just let this air dry or use the fan method. But after it's dry simply remove the rods by twisting them in the opposite direction of the curl and the curls came out with a lot of definition and no sticky residue so yeah. The mousse also got two thumbs up for me. I'M taking a few more pumps of the argan oil to coat my fingers, then separate and twirl in the direction of the curl for lots of volume with no frizz. I'M gon na use a couple bobby pins to shape the Mohawk and place some of the curls and the spaces between the ponytails just to fill everything out using a smidge more of that pomade to do some finishing touches and shape my edges and final step. I'M gon na jazz this up a bit more with some hair accessories. I have some hair rings, I'm placing on the braids, and you can also use hair cuffs as well. So I just went ahead and did both did something a little different on each side. To give you guys two different options, so this is the finished style using hair care items all from thrive market. I was definitely happy with the results my hair looked and felt so so nice and yeah. It was just kind of fun discovering new products. So, thank you so much to thrive and, if any of you guys out there when it try thrive out for yourself they're offering a free 30-day trial and an extra 25 % off your first purchase, all you need to do is click the link in the description Box to start shopping, their selection of organic and natural products at really really great prices.
