Hi, I'm Christina with all mom does, and I'm here with my daughter Brenna for Anna. How old are you okay? So, as you can see, Brenna has this gorgeous curly hair, but as a mom I knew nothing about how to take care of it. So it's been kind of a learning process for me and there's lots of different tutorials online of how to do your kids hair and how to take care of curly hair. But I have to tell you a lot of those simple tutorials were still way. Above my skill level, so today I just wanted to show you how I take care of her hair, some really really simple, everyday, easy hairstyles that we can do for school mornings and just some tips and tricks I have so. I have to say I was a little hesitant to even make this video because I'm really not a hair expert, but I know that I'm not the only mom out there that can't do a straight part or isn't very good at French braids. So I know there's other moms like me, who just need some tips on how to get their daughter's hair to look cute, and so it's you know appropriate to send to school. So they don't look like they have been head all the time. So first thing that I'm gon na do I actually trying to do this. Isn'T talking so she's got some braids here and it's today it's the weekend and I have to tell you we have not come through this in three days, so it's gon na be quite tingly when I do that. But I've got some progress or some product recommendations for you that we found work really well with her hair. So, let's see, let's get this out you, okay, so one of the easiest things that I will do with her hair actually is is just to do two messy buns in the back, which I mean messy buns, are our go to his mom's right and they look So cute on kids, but one of the best things I found about curly hair is that it doesn't have to look all perfect because it is so wild and natural that it's kind of nice to have some styles that just go with the flow and don't try To tame it quite so much so I really love it's kind of a take on. You know just your standard pigtails, and so I just divide it back here. I don't even do a really good job of parting honestly, and then I just do a couple messy buns in the back and because her hair is so just curly and wild. It just turns into the cutest couple of goofballs back here, which I think are adorable. This worked better when our hair was a little shorter because they just really were the poof balls were a little smaller, but her hair's grown out quite a bit lately there you want to turn around and show in the back turn around a little bit yeah. So that's super cute, I say you know, don't try and tame it too much to just kind of go with the flow of the wild curl and that's a super easy way like. I said it works a little bit better when they're, when the hair is a little bit shorter. Her hair is pretty long at this point. Finally, right other curly-haired moms, you know that it takes forever for your little girl to grow out her curls, because their hair goes slower than many so yeah. So just two cute little messy buns they're also super cute up here, especially on like toddlers. So if you do them higher, you want to turn back around honey. You can do them a little higher the little messy buns and then they look like two cute little pouf balls. So that's the first one. Next, what I'm gon na do now you get to see how this works in real life, because now I'm gon na comb out her hair, and if you have the same battle as me, you know this is not an easy process and it's typically fraught with tears. Right so, like I said, we have not brushed her hair in three days. Typically, I recommend that you brush every day in order to keep the tangles at bay, because otherwise it gets really tough, but we will in real life here comb through her hair, and I will show you how it works and I'll also show you just some really Good product recommendations that seem to work well for our family, okay, so the first thing that we do get a towel because you're gon na wet the hair and it's gon na get super wet and you'll get their shirt all wet. If you don't use a towel, so tip number one use a towel and then spray bottle. This one, I think, is from like a home and garden center and obviously it's quite big. It'S never had chemicals in. I just want to say that, and I don't know why we have this one, but I think you just bought it for convenience because it was there when we needed it, but seriously soak the hair and what this does is. Obviously, it makes it easier to come through, but then you know like I you saw we had braids, and so you can see the hair is crimped where the braids were so this will get rid of that. So if you want to change the style between washes, you can okay and then, after it's wet okay, you can take it there after it's wet. Keep that on there, you're gon na want to use a detangler, and typically I'm not someone who strongly recommends brands. I really believe in just we're using whatever works, but this is the best one we have ever found and it's called you want to hold it up. It'S called Beauty protector, protect and detangle, so the brand is Beauty protector and this works really fantastically. I am, I actually discovered it in my Birchbox probably a year ago and it lasts a long time, and so it costs a little bit more than your typical detangler, but it lasts a long time and it works great. I mean I honestly, I wouldn't use anything else so, and it also smells really good too. Okay, now that we've got the detangler in it's time to brush our favorite is the wet brush, because it do you want to take this off. Okay, so our favorite brushes the wet brush, it seems to go through the curls and detangle it with a little less drama. So, let's see how little drama we have today. Okay, let's see how much this pulls even after three days without brushing okay. Alright, how is it honey? It'S? Okay, okay, you can tell me a bit bulls, okay and that my friends was totally brushed out and it was pretty tangled. So worked like a champ. I can't see her face, but you can so hopefully she didn't look like she was in too much pain, but there weren't any tears for my end. So now, if you just want to leave their hair natural and curly, you are gon na want to put some product in it, and one of the things that we like to use is this: it's called not your mother's. What'S the full, not your mother's kinky moves curl, defining hair cream, and I was recommended this by a friend that has curly hair and it's really great because it keeps the curls soft. So it doesn't make it. You know give them that crunchy look which they don't need. So if you just wanted to, you know, use or wanted their hair to be curly and wanted it to be down or just put a bread in or something I would just put like a dime or nickel sized amount and scrunch it up. And then just let it air dry, but today we're not gon na. Do that we're gon na give you another couple of super easy weekday tips, her hair styles, so I mean one is. I know you can all do and that's just a braid just to braid down the back and also the benefit of the braid is that it will keep it from getting too tangled tomorrow. So I don't know how often you wash your kids hair but hers. We maybe wash once a week just because you don't need it more free at this point, and it's always nice to do the braid because it keeps it from getting tangled. And so then, tomorrow's hair is also drama-free. The other super cute thing, especially with the curly hair, is that you know you're doing it wet, but then, as it dries, you know a little tendrils will pop out around their face. Then it's super adorable cuz like I said. I think that it's, I think, it's part of the charm of just being kind of wild and natural. It doesn't have to be completely tamed and perfect, and so we just do that and then to just kind of bump up the cute factor, a little bit we'll put a cute bow in the bottom. Let'S see what we got here and what six-year-old doesn't love a glitter bow right. So can you turn around and show down honey, yeah and it's also fun because it lets them, but I think you probably need to get down a little bit yeah. It also lets them show off the length of their hair cuz, it's curly hair. You know it usually appears to be a whole lot shorter than it is just because it's all scrunched up so she likes to feel like she has longer hair when we do it. This way okay turn around and then the last one that will you do and then this last one that we do. We just do a little French braid and, like I said at the beginning, French braid is not my strength, so I'm taking a risk doing it in front of you, because you're gon na seriously see how not good I am at this, but it still turns out Really cute you all right mom, so we are just about done here, so this style, you know, just keep the hair off their face and it doesn't take long to do. But this probably is a little more labor intense. But if this one isn't perfect but as I like, I said before, as it dries things get a little crazy anyway, because that's just the natural tendency of their hair, so it really doesn't have to be perfect. So you know moms are curly her kids. Let me just encourage you to not to be intimidated by all of the hairstyles. You see online that look perfect, just embrace the natural propensity of their hair to be a little wild and just trying to think so. It'S really not that hard! You can do it. Doesn'T have to be perfect, so thanks for tuning in today, I hope you got a tip or two that will help you tame your child's curly hair, while you're here please subscribe on YouTube and go ahead and like us on Facebook and hop on over to all Mom does for more great content all the time and to sign up for our newsletter. Emily Paradis: Her hair is SO beautiful! I had very similar hair growing up, but my mom had no idea what to do with it. Now I have a curly girl and we get to share our hair products and I have a better idea of what to do with it.

Hsodbd de shxbd d: This was so helpful

Bella Rose: The wet detangle brush i will agree is the best for curly hair. But a more affordable option for detangle spay is infact Aussie Hair Insurance. It works wonders for us. #No more crying#makes one happy momma

I found it on there for ($60) I don’t mind spending the money I normally use the product chi. I just want to make sure it’s worth the money or if it’s cheaper to find it in my local stores.
