I just found the best easiest, most beautiful, no heat curly hairstyle ever I've been looking for this, my entire life and I'm now wearing it nearly every day, and my life is changed forever. Hello, everyone and welcome back to another video, I'm just casually, but not so casually sitting here on my white bed in my white clothes with a super cool video filter and feeling is super aesthetic and full of joy, because I have found get this. No heat, no fuss super quick, literally five minutes super easy way to get beautiful curls and you don't even have to sleep in them overnight or do the hairstyle on damp hair. Like honestly, this is a miracle you can just twist this bad boy up and wait. Three or four hours and then you're good to go, and so today I wanted to share it with you. Okay, so, as I said, this is a really really simple tutorial. All you're going to need are two bobby pins and these just the regular standard sized bobby pins, two or three scrunchies and then also two headbands and I've tied these together at the corners, as you can see here so just to yeah, bend down is and you're Gon na put them over your head, like so and then, of course, a comb to part, your hair down the middle. So I washed my hair this morning. It'S been drying for probably three or four hours now, and it's perfectly dry and I've just gone ahead and put some moisturizer in the end of it, which was just my hobo oil. So it's been moisturized and this is a really really great thing to do as well to moisturize, because when you're wearing your hair out, it looks a little bit oily. But this is a really protective hairstyle that you can wear to bed. You can just wear during the day and it will leave you with curls, but in the meantime it will moisturize your hair without making it look greasy. And then, when you take it out, it's all soaked in and it's not greasy anymore. Obviously, don't go overboard with the oil, because, if you put in here as well, it's just gon na be oily regardless. I just put like a five cent piece like a one centimeter, you guys are an American. You don't have the metric system anyway, a small amount into my hand, and I just wrap it through my care. Also like rub my face and stuff to moisturize that yeah. So this is freshly washed hair. As you can see, it's naturally a little bit curly anyway. This is not crimped or anything else, just how my hair falls. But yes, so if you don't have hair that holds a curl very well. This may not work as well for you, but my hair naturally is like a type 2a. I think on the curl spectrum. You don't know what that is. Neither do I really but um and there's like different types of curls that girls have in mind like in the wavy section, but like the low waves anyway. So without further ado, let's get into the video okay. So the first step is just to come out any knots from your hair super simple and then part your hair down the middle. Yes, so my hair has a natural side part because I have a cowlick right here which sprats well, we maybe have over time. So you can definitely do a parting, the other middle, but probably you like better, is not, but for me I presume cannot do that. So we're going to the next step is to just secure one side of your hair into a ponytail to keep it out of the way and then you're going to go ahead and attach the bandana to the top of your head. So you want to move. Maybe two or three, maybe even four centimeters past the front hairs so past your hairline and then place it down on top of your head and then attach it with two bobby pins near to where your parting is. If you do this anywhere else, you won't be able to wrap the hair around the bandana very well so putting the bobby pins as close to your parting line as possible is the best way to go literally everyone right. Sorry! Now that that's all done when you need to get into the exciting part, which is twisting your hair around the bandana and I'm going to be showing you this on camera, so I'm gon na shut up in the voiceover right now. So, as you can see, the bandana is sitting probably two to three, maybe even four centimeters back on my head now. This is because I don't want the curls to be really tight near the front of my face and local kind of bushy. I will link a picture of what that looks like here versus what it looks like when it's a little bit further back on your head here so yeah. You can definitely see a pretty strong difference there. So I like, to put it a little bit further back into an elusive curl, but if you're after, like real volume like crazy talking like that Olivia newton-john from grease, lightning or Katherine, Katherine Kim, you want those really big. Curls. Definitely put it further forward on your face and also tie it much more tightly around the bandanna or pick a piece of material. That'S a lot less like thick. You can pick like I'm gon na tie or a thinnest scarf, which will give you a much tighter curl, but for me I'll go for the loose curls, so we're just gon na go ahead and remove this remember what is my Lee's gon na rip, the flyaways From the actual hair, we're gon na grab a piece of hair so at the edge of our eyebrow. That'S where I like, Michael to start that way, it kind of starts curling nicely and frames the face so you're, just gon na loop that over the piece of material and then loop it back under again, so it's facing back out towards the hair. Now at this point, what we do is we grab another piece kind of like the French braid style. You grab a little bit more and continue grabbing the piece. That'S just gone through and you grab it around and then you pull it around again. So you've got tumblers most this time and then you repeat the process again, then again, all the way down the hair, shaft hair, shaft side of the head under whatever, and so we get all the way down to the bottom. Now, if you want really tight curls, as I said before, what you can do you can as you're grabbing it, you bring it around the bandana once but then, rather than taking more you go around again like so, and then you have another piece now. Personally, I don't like the look at this see. No, that's not you. I don't know it's not that I don't like the look of this. I just think it doesn't suit me personally. So, if you're after Tycho's do double twists every single time, but my purpose is I'm gon na go like this and, as you can see, I'm not pulling that tightly like it doesn't hit my head. It feels feel secure, but not tight in the sense that I you know, I'm worried that I'm not gon na be able to sleep on it anyway. We'Re gon na continue down the hair shaft. Why do I keep calling it Hashem? Is we're gon na keep going down the side of the head and taking a little bit more hair each time I go now, sometimes because of the bend. I know that I'm using it kind of overlaps you'll, get hand kind of stuck in it, so you can get to the end, and you have really long pieces hanging out. That'S just because the piece of hair has just got caught in the been better it hasn't. You know wrapped around so if that is the case, you can just kind of wrap it around the end and because I can't really see what I'm doing. It'S probably gon na happen right so once you've got it all wrapped around the bandanna you're just gon na go ahead and keep wrapping it. It'S like. So until you get right to the end once it's all nicely neat and wrap it around it, Danah get a hair tie and you're just going to go around without losing the tension in the hair. So there's gon na be a bit fiddly, especially if he has not naturally straight bit more difficult, okay, alright, so that's that done now! You will notice! I let this go. It'S just gon na like wow that actually, okay, usually that unwraps completely - I mean it, gets a bit looser and kind of falls out. Yet so what you're going to want to do is hold this somehow, so you can either secure to side head with the clip, but I personally just kind of I'm gon na color it bad Barbie are try. Okay, I don't have a clip, probably should invest in one that you choose, but we're trying to be frugal. We'Re trying to be minimalistic, so we're going to use the appendages that God has given us, namely our teeth. Okay, so that's all twisted, that's all tight and it feels comfortable - it's not pulling at all, so we're going to go and do the other side now, just something small to keep in mind. I know it's probably fairly obvious, but the second time I ever tried this. I did it the wrong way so, rather than bringing my hair up in front of the piece of material and towards the back of my head and then under so you going up and under up and under I tried to do it opposite. So I like, I took the hair from my head and brought it forward towards my face and then under the material, so it was inverted curls and it curled really funky and then dried really funky, because I didn't when when it was wet. So that was a really big mistake. I actually don't recommend doing this hairstyle wet on wet hair, because it just ends up being really curly like really tight, curls, really crazy. If you want your loose nice glossy curls, you just want to do it on dry hair and make sure that you're going over the piece of material. I hope that makes sense. If not, let me know in the comments below and I'll try and explain it for you. Okay. So, as you can see here, this isn't the prettiest, because I've got rogue he's just here. Hello! That'S, okay! Don'T worry! It'S gon na look fine! So we've got to tied up piggy tails, essentially all nicely wrapped and twisted, and now you have a few options: okay, so you can go ahead and wrap it around and do like the Princess, Leia style and then secure that with scrunchie. Now this is really good, because the end of the bends on or at least for me and my length of hair there's plenty of it Lex. You can just wrap that around and it kind of secures everything and you do the same on the other side. Alternatively, you can go ahead and make one bond at the back, so I'm just going to show you that now this is the most difficult part, and you can do this bit. You can do anything how as you go, so you can go ahead and bring it around the back like this basically figure it out, tie a knot, wrap it all up like this. Now this is another thing to keep in mind. Sometimes it will go a little bit loose on the side like this, even if you can see that that's actually perfectly fine. I slept in that each of times that kind of comes out, but it's still really nice and curly. However, if you want to wear this as a hairstyle during the day, I recommend getting it as tight as possible for the best results. So usually I do the two buns on the side of my head. However, if I want to sleep in it, the best thing to do is what I'm about to show you and it's so comfortable to sleep better. So I get this so what I do around the top of my head, like okay, so this is going to create a bit of a bit of a tie at the front. You didn't understand what I just did. I'M gon na show you it yet, sir okay, so you have them like this now you're going to pull the left one to the right side and the right one to the left side, I used to bet okay, you can do it one at a time. This time hold this one: okay, once inside keeping the tension is tightest swat the teeth I'm gon na throw on the other side, you keep the change in this type of room for around okay. Now you shouldn't cross them over just like this, and then all you have to do now. You can do this in multiple ways you can like cover your ears. You can just sort of whatever I just have to take it up onto my head and then what I do is I tie it in with the current size that is sitting in it and that just helps to secure the whole look, and it just sits perfectly In place so obviously you're not going to want to wear this, maybe you would actually, depending on the kind of end, and I'm not gon na - want to wear this out of the house too much, but we can consider for an isolation. That'S totally fine, however, if you want to cover this up with another headband like a beanie on top that's cool and yes, so I just basically tie this into current tie system that we've got going on and then it all just sits perfectly like that, and you Can sleep in it and it's super comfortable super comfortable yeah. You can just tuck that in it doesn't look crazy and that is my easy, no heat, no moist hair something-or-other in subtitles of the year here and it takes literally like five minutes. It'S so easy! Now, I'm going to show you this once it's all done, I'm gon na go to sleep and that's really it over. Another thing that I should say is that you actually don't need to sleep on this. I'Ve done this hairstyle one at about 3 or 4 hours. Taking it out - and it's still perfectly curly - really really good. So it's not even a sleep in hairstyle, you don't, so you don't need to you, don't need any heat treatment. It'S a no heat! No sleep, no wet hair, hair style that works wonders for curls. So I'll show you the before and after pretty soon you guys, I am currently in the process. I know you're all holding out for it, I'm currently in the process of trying out all the different, no two methods, so stay tuned for video on that in the next month, or so. I really want to do a thorough analysis and thorough video on all of them and which one works best and which ones have side effects. You know how to make them, how to do them I'll, be a really comprehensive video, maybe videos, maybe a serious, not sure yet be a stay tuned for that subscribe. Like comment subscribe to my channel, I love you all. Thank you very much for joining me and see you later, okay, guys. So it's now the next morning and I'm going to show you what my hair looks like when I take it out me crazy ages, the effect guys, I hope you enjoyed this video. Bye.

Sarah Travenick: DO IT WITH TIGHTS! When you finish wrapping your hair around each leg, you pull waistband of the tights around it. This covers the style for a super solid hold and minimal frizz while you sleep!

Petty Blue: Omg, I thought I had clicked on a video from another era, girl - you are so natural! It was like listening to a friend explain something, not watching a super posh tutorial. Totally trying this + sub

Rachel DeGouff: If your hair doesn't hold curls easily (my hair doesn't) I just mist it & put some light-hold mousse in RIGHT before twisting it, and it works perfectly :) I wait about 2 hours on average

Chloé Garcia: Just wanted to let you know, this is the first time EVER I manage to follow a hair styling tutorial on YouTube. I'm really really bad at styling my own hair bc I'm not patient and my arms get tired very quickly but your technique is actually manageable! And I like the fact that it's 100% without products, hair straightener etc. So, thank you

Malinda Eckert: This is definitely the best, sustainable, no heat, no damp hair, "every day" curl look video ive seen. Love the authenticity, practicality, and the result is spot on what ive been trying to find. ❤️

Most Highly Introverted Lady: It's really exciting when the curling method looks just as cute as the finished product!

Pamela Votipka: I am 61 and my grandmother showed me how to do this when I was a girl. She used torn bed sheets. Apparently her mother curled her hair that way! Cool!

karlee gordon: Watched this yesterday, tried it, and I'm absolutely amazed. No one will ever see me with straight hair again. Bless you. Blesssssssss you

Aurélie: I’ve been doing this for years and love it! I sleep in it at night! So I use two long knee socks that I put together (so my curls aren’t too small and it’s thicker). I part my hair into two equal parts (when I just grab my hair, it hurts to sleep on at night and pulls, but an even part fixes that). I use an alligator clip to secure it while twisting it (you can buy alligator clips at Sephora, I think hair dressers use those styles of clips). You get better curls if you alternate which sides you pull from and use two “twists.” Example, first twist pulls hair back away from face and then around the tie, second twist pulls hair forward to the face and around the tie. And then you alternate forward and back. I don’t make any buns with the ends, I literally just tie it back behind my head. I just take the two ends and tie them in the back in a knot. It’s comfortable and stays. And if it falls out while you’re sleeping, it’s not a big deal, because the two twists are already secured to the knee sock and stay in place. I have long hair, but with sleeping on it and how my hair holds curls so naturally, I don’t twist my hair over the whole length of the tie. At the end, I will wrap it over itself and overlap the twists quite a bit, so my curls are thicker and don’t have such tight, frizzy curls at the end. So my twists end up shorter with extra knee sock length at the end. This makes it easy to just tie it in a knot behind my head. And if the extra knee socks are bugging me, I just wrap them into the knot.

Slíck: Last night I tried this out and it turned out so good!! I love curls but I hate the idea of damaging my hair so this is a real lifesaver. Thank you for this tutorial, I’m gonna use it everyday!!

Lady Dior: I love how we are going back to the way out grandmas curled their hair.

Kat Car: Just watched this and before it had even finished I found a scarf and did my hair like this tutorial. I've never followed any hair tutorial before, but I understood this one. It was so easy to follow and even though my twisting wasn't good I think it'll be something I can easily improve with practise.

Kaylani: I’ve been doing the “twisty braid” hair thing for EVER now but never figured out how to keep the tension. Agh, I can finally sleep at night (and wake up with great hair) ty

BB Mc: Since I have white hair, I love no-heat styles. Heat yellows the ends. This is a great technique for longer hair. Thanks.

Felicia K.: Thanks for this! Also - I have the exact same cowlick + natural part as you! Only way I trained my hair to part in the middle was by Dutch braiding it when it was damp for a couple months - after awhile, my hair adapted

Quincy Masur: OH MY GODDESS THIS IS IT. THIS IS WHAT I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR. I have been doing twist braids for ages but the ends always look so scraggly and this is just so perfect. THANK YOU

Anne Pickering: This is brilliant, stopped using my heated rollers and straighteners which was making my hair brittle and now it looks thicker and is comfortable to sleep in. Thank you so much xxxxxxxxxxx

Alda: I've seen this tip a lot of times, but you're the one that got me to actually try it! I'm trying it tonight on my fine hair! Thank you ❤️

Juf Fee: I'm looking forward to try this when my hair is a bit longer. Looks like fun and it's such a good and easy explanation!! Thank you

Hương Quỳnh: This method is amazing... it keeps on my hair for 2 days even though I didnt even try to take care of the curl - of course it does loosen a bit but still gorgous really worth trying, thank you for sharing

shewearscombatboots: You are truly an angel from heaven. I used a 36" satin scarf instead of two bandanas tied together and it's so comfy and looks absolutely cute. And it was FAST.

Julia r: I’ve tried this before but found it unraveled so seeing your tips at retaining the tension is awesome thank you so much

takktakterakk: anyone with 1/10 of Maryellen's hair volume try this? can't imagine this will work with the little hair I have. update: alright, I tried it. I have very thin, very little hair which is a little longer than shoulder length. so I was sceptical. but whaddayaknow, this even works with my hair! and well! sleeping felt weird at first but once I slept it was fine. I was also worried the whole thing might come loose during the night, bu no. it held tight. getting the bandanas out of my hair was tricky for a second. on one side my hair got tangled in pretty bad and I already saw myself with scissors. but in the end everything worked out fine. thanks a lot for this tip Maryellen! :-D

Magy V.: It worked so well!! I had them in from 8ish one night until 7:30ish the next morning and they were perfect ringlets that held up all day (through a lot of activity). Also I love your energy and happiness through the pandemic :) Thanks.

MaryKate M: Saving this for when my hair gets longer! It’s below shoulder-length right now, I think I’ll give it a go! I love these kind of curls!

Brandon: Hello I'm Emma and I'm kind of new to your channel! I was looking for heatless curls because I was ruining my hair by curling everyday. I am so happy with the results! I'm wearing it right now in my hair and Sunday night I am going to do this hairstyle for school in the morning! I also recommend doing it over night only because the curls stayed in longer. Also, before, I did it with my hair wet, and the next morning I took it out and it didn't stay in because my hair was still damp so I suggest doing it with dry hair. Thank you so much for this video! Your accent is so soothing! SUBED!

Freya778: I have been looking for something like this for years! Easy and little effort and time needed, no hair products needed, no heat or difficult or expensive tools needed, can be done on dry or wet hair, you can sleep with it but don't have to and it looks really good and natural. And you can also adjust the size and tightness of the curls. I haven't tried it yet (since I just saw this video a few minutes ago) but I am going to try this soon. I don't have any bandana's so I am going to try it with tights. Btw I think you have have great voice and personality! You are vibrant, bubbly and real ❤!

Jill Broadhead: I tried it last night with dry hair. Or mostly dry hair. I used a lighter scarf and just tied the ends on the top of my head in a bow like she tied the handkerchiefs. But I didn't have ends to tie them to. But it was still super super secure. You're beautifully and I have the easiest curls. Would definitely recommend this no heat easier version of rag curling.

Chloe Ferreira: Im trying this tonight! Thanks girl ♡

Priyanshi Agarwal: OH MY GOODNESS IT ACTUALLY WORKS!!!!!! all i use is my dad's hankerchief and 3 rubber bands, twist it up when my hair's a lil damp after washing it and sleep in it - IT IS SOOOOOO COMFORTABLE and the curls last for like 3 days! absolutely genius, thanks for sharing, the 500K ppl who have watched this are now the elitest curliest gals in the world!

Pippa Pease: Such a great way to curl hair! Tried it last night and the results are amazing. Thank you!!

Karolina s: Tried it today and it’s absolutely life changing! Beautiful curls, makes your hair super voluminous❤️

I’m thinking the heat from my head played a roll but still very impressed. I texted my sister immediately. This could be life changing

Better Betty: Looks gorgeous!! Can’t wait to try it out!

Miria Ktz: Omg you look so pretty with the curls Gonna try it tomorrow, I actually have really really straight hair and when I do curls, they usually wear out in like an hour, I'm really hoping that this technique is gonna work for me!

Arge _: My hair is super straight and heatless curls never work on me, but I'm still watching this video because her personality is so sweet!

Mrs Bruce: Have tried ALL the methods of heartless curls and literally never came across this but tried it and slept in it last night - as I like my curls quite tight and crazy and I freaking LOVE! Thanks so much for sharing

AzureRavenWitch: I just tried this, and honestly expected it to fail. I was so surprised!! My hair looks incredible! I can't believe this worked! (Okay, I sound like those click bait bots now, but seriously, wow!) Definitely recommend. My hair is thick and wavy, and will hold a curl. But because it's so dang thick, it usually takes forever to style! I love the set-it-and-forget-it method in this video. And with some tweaking, you could absolutely wear this during the day until you're ready for the evening

jessica forster: Thank you!!! I tried it last night and it worked out amazing!!! Thanks so much

Jennifer Harrison: Can I just say thank you, I've been doing this for months now. It's my go to going out hairstyle

Jen Knight: Beautiful hair ☺

cc_123_playz: THANK YOU! I have been having trouble curling my hair with no heat since last summer I used to put my hair in a braided bun and sleep with it. Since my hair has gotten longer since then, its been a struggle. And since my graduation and prom is coming up, this really really helps me know how to style my hair!

Linda: Excellent tutorial. The curls look amazing. Your hair looks beautiful.

Kaya Schulz: Thank you so much for this! I can’t believe how well it works

Dylan A Peabody: This looks so cool, can’t wait to try this!!!!

DejaDrewit: I watched a few similar tutorials but they all french braided and i suck at that and really wanted something easier and THIS IS IT. Thank you!

Brooke DeMartino: Great job! Totally gorgeous!

Moon Baby: I’m about 99% sure this is exactly how my great grandmother and her 4 sisters got curled with rag rollers a century ago.

Ashlan Hanseen: Just tried this and I was so surprised by how it it worked! These curls look so good!

Julie Caron: Great tips, but don't brush out the curls at the end, it frizzes everything! Just gently separate the curls with your fingers!

gabrielle nichole: Thank you for this! It’s exactly what I was looking for. Doing braids just doesn’t give the look I wanted!

Milek Malik: The waves look really beautiful! Wavy hair suits you a lot.

jd schellstar: i love it and i use my teeth while styling too. gorgeous curls- i am inspired!

Lynn Lapchak: You are so adept at explaining the technique! Beautiful hair!

Xub Bijoux: I've seen a few others do this, but your instructions are the best. Thanks!

Sara: I saw a similar tutorial use a belt from a robe and i tried it but it was so uncomfortable to sleep with. Using your trick with the bandana was so much more comfortable and it was also easier to twist around my hair!

Layla Maria: Thank you so much for the video. I'm definitely trying it. My hair is exactly the same as yours, fluffy and slightly wavy. I sometimes leave it natural because I think is beautiful!

Katelynn Crichton: This is great! Thanks!✨

Shannon Joseph: You’re a great teacher. Thanks for breaking it down

Ms Ora: Thank you Maryellen. I really enjoyed your video! Love that it's no-heat with minimal tools and seems quick to do. Trying it out tonight, thanks!

Faith Julian: This is the best no heat curl method I have tried. I sleep with it every night this way. When I take it out in the morning I comb it out with a pick or large tooth comb and then put some anti frizz product on it to tame it back down( because I combed it and my hair tends to frizz anyway). Then I spritz a bit of flexible hold hair spray and it stays all day. I get so many compliments on my hair. I have some natural wave but it never looks uniform so this makes it look so much better. It works the best!

Nuria Casanova: Awesome I tried it looks great! Thanks for the tip!

Kiera Olsen: You are adorable. I love this! Definitely going to do this hair alllll the time!❤️

sorbicsiable: This method works like a charm, I still use it

Lizzie Cox: This was super helpful and informative!!

Charlotte: I LOVE YOU! I have always wanted curly hair but using heat took too long! This is THE BEST METHOD I have ever used! Just a quick question though, do you do this everyday or everytime you need to wash your hair?

Michelle M. Walker: It worked! This really is life-changing! Thank you so much for sharing.

Nancy Decoste: I use the cloth belt of my housecoat, because it's long and thin. My hair is almost a metre long. And it works really well considering my hair is very straight.

Allison Sharpe: I tried this and it totally worked! I will definitely be doing this again :)
