Mini Braids On My Natural Curly Hair - Summer Protective Style

Hi everyone welcome to my channel Taggart, isn't here and today I'm showing you how I do my mini braids. I will start on freshly washed and conditioned hair, also air, dried and really fully calmed out. So I can just go ahead and do my braids, so I'm gon na start by just sectioning my hair, I'm always starting by the back, because this is the most difficult section to do. If you do the front first, so I'm gon na start start by doing the first section down and then I'm gon na tie the actual part that I'm not gon na do right now, just to separate it and make sure that my braids are clean and clear. The parts and I'm gon na be using that curly hair lotion from Garnier and I'm gon na start by applying that lotion on that section that I'm gon na start doing the braids on just to make sure my hair is hydrated. While I have the mini braids and then I'm gon na start separating into smaller parts to do the mini braids with a comb and I'm simply gon na start braiding - and this is just what's gon na be during this whole video you're gon na watch me basically Do my mini braids and do my parts for now with this hydrating cream, I really recommend you having a lotion that really hydrates your hair for a long time, because you're probably going to keep those for at least a week or something so make sure to have Something that hydrates your hair and that doesn't just make your hair shine and not hydrate, and so, as you can see right now, I'm done the back of my hair. The front is not done yet, but I have to run out. I had something to do so. I just decided to actually style my hair for now and just come back to the braids later on during that day. So for now, I'm just gon na show you a little hairstyle idea. For example, if you don't have time to finish your braids right away and then what I'm gon na do is actually a top bun, so I'm just gon na go and spray my hair with some water, and you think on my hair with the Denman brush as Well, as with a comb, the Denman brush is gon na help me get the curls for the bun. So when I'm gon na attach the bun, some curls are gon na stick out, and so, when I have my curls done, I'm simply gon na add some of the lotion that I used for my braids on the top of my hair, because I don't want to Use gel for this one, because I know that I'm gon na continue this hairstyle so might as well just hydrate my hair in the meantime, and I'm just gon na take a cig brush and I'm gon na sleek the front part of my hair. Just to make my bun really sleek and make it look like it's actually a style and I'm not halfway down my braids, and so, as you can see, my bun now is done and I have earth down with the top knot and some braids in the back And so right now, when later that day and I'm simply gon na finish, this hairstyle, the mini braids hairstyle and I'm just gon na go ahead and continue the braids basically parting, my hair, adding some lotion or some water to to make sure my hair detangled and I'M gon na part, even in smaller parts. Just to do my braids one advice about the braids in the front. I would actually tell you to part your hair and the way you want them to fall down, but also when you do the braids make sure two braids in the way that it falls down, because if you do it on the other way, it would stay most Likely stay on the other way, so you'll see that a bit more later in that video, but right now I'm just separating the parts on my hair. So, as you can see, I have the middle part. I have the side part and the other side part, and so now I just wanted to show you. I'M almost done my hair and I really like it so far. My braids are really healthy and you can see that my hair is really hydrated and they're really locked in. There is no frizz or anything like that. So I'm just gon na go ahead and finish. My braids and you'll see the final result soon. So that was my last week and now I'm done this is the final result. I'M really happy with it. It took me about two hours and a half total, but it's only worth it because I don't have any attention and I don't have any pressure on my hair because I don't have any extensions and it's a really cool and easy herself to do at home.
