Hi everyone, it's kayla, welcome back to my channel and hi if you're new before i get into this week's video, i just wanted to remind you guys to please hit that subscribe button for me and let's go this week's video, i'm going to be showing you guys, My favorite new braids for warmer weather and they literally take less than four hours total. When you start you should wash and blow dry your hair, then you should put your hair down the middle and from there you should part each half into thirds. Following this step, you should part each of those thirds into halves. So, to make things easier on myself, i usually will part my hair down the middle and then part that first third of my entire head and just focus on those four sections. So the parts should resemble this image except unbraided and with 12 sections, rather than eight personally, i would recommend husky and a friend or family to help. You part your hair. I think it speeds up the process a lot and i think that it would probably take around two hours total if you had someone to just part for you. So this is the hair that i use for this hairstyle. Obviously, you can use all different textures of hair. I just personally wanted a little bit more volume, but it is the freetress bohemian braid 20 inches and it is the color tp430. Basically, i just experimented with the size of the braids that i wanted and ultimately grabbed this much hair and then attached it to the root of my hair and began to cornrow from there so giving some insight onto this hairstyle. I really kind of just made it up and ended up looking it up later and found out that they were called pop smoke braids. I added hair and whatnot and basically kind of softened up a more masculine hairstyle, okay. So i'm finally about halfway done and i think it came out pretty good considering i did all the parts by myself. I think the thing i'm most excited about for this hairstyle is trying out a new color, the very first time i tried it. I just did plain black and a looser curl pattern, so this time i'm doing kind of like these. Like light honey brown highlights on some dark brown hair and i just think it's going to be really perfect for spring right now, i'm coming up on the last section and i'm so excited about it, because my arms hurt so bad. Oh, my god, and then right here is basically just real time grading and about how long it takes me to just get it attached to the root and then braid down from there, which goes a lot faster. So for me, when i braid, especially at the root, i try not to go too fast and i try to braid very tight and as close to my scalp as possible, just to prolong the style and make sure it's really tight and sleek. And it takes a bit longer this way, but i think it's worth it. I guess and then just like that the braids are finally done and it's time to move on to the crocheting. So when i first tried out this style, i didn't have a crochet hook on me and i used this like really thick large needle with a blunt end as makeshift crochet hook, and it works really well for me. So i just use that, but you're more than welcome to use a crochet hook if you're more comfortable with that. This is just me. So how i do it is, i put the needle in to whatever section of the braid i want it in and then i hold the opposite end that is not getting pulled through and then pull it through and just basically tie it off, and i will just Repeat that until i'm satisfied overall, this process took me about 20 to 30 minutes and wasn't too bad honestly after this, i would recommend using some type of scalp oil. I use the meow rosemary mint one, and it just feels really fresh on my scalp after braiding. For that long and then after that, i would heavily recommend using suffrage just to keep your hair from getting itchy and flaky and add some of that into every single row of the braids and then from there. I just cut and styled the hair brushed it out. A little bit to get the volume i wanted and then from there i went ahead and grabbed the curls blueberry edge control that i used earlier and just use that along my edges, pretty sparingly a little goes a long way for this product and just brush my Edges down and then i grab the tresemme flawless curls mousse, and i applied a bunch of that and had a bunch of fun with that. Getting that all over my scalp and all throughout my hair, just to basically tame the frizz and give it a little bit more definition, so kind of fluff that out a bit. And then i just grabbed my scarf tied that on really quickly and then you're. Just going to let that sit for 10 to 30 minutes overall, i really really like this style, and i'm definitely going to be doing this again and last but not least, here's how this style came out after setting and after i kind of like wore my way Into it and got comfortable in the braids for a few days, for me, i think the biggest appeal of this hairstyle is the fact that you can do it in a relatively short amount of time, and it lasts like three to five weeks. So, a little over a month, if you really stretch it out and you can refresh it really easily and it's just like not time consuming, and it still allows you to care for your hair on a pretty regular basis. Unlike you know, micro braids, or things like that, like for me when i did this previously and i took my hair down, my hair was super soft, not tangled, not dry, brittle or breaking like it is sometimes when i leave my box braids in for too long. So i really like that aspect of it and with that that wraps up this week's video, i hope this was really helpful for you guys if you have any questions, comments or concerns, please let me know in the comments and don't forget to like comment and subscribe And i will see you guys next week, bye
