How To Wear A Claw Clip | Easy Hairstyles

Hello, everybody welcome back to the luxy hair channel. My name is maya capranas and i am a lifestyle, wellness and beauty content creator and you may or may not have seen me on the luxie channel before i am super passionate about partnering, with brands that are premium and beautiful and just encourage empowerment. That'S all that lexi does so. I'M super excited to be here because we are going to be talking and going through a little mini tutorial of how to use a claw clip to style. Different looks with your hair and you may or may not have noticed, but clock lips have been all the rage over the past three or so years. Not only are they just effortlessly chic, but they are super easy and comfortable to do whether you're shooting content or whether you're going to work or whether you're lounging around the house. You can really just elevate your look with a clock clip so i'm gon na. Take you through a little tutorial on how you can style your cloth, clip different ways. So, as you can see, i do have shorter to medium length, hair and it isn't really thick, but it's also not really thin. So i think that it'll be great for this tutorial, because all the styles that i'm going to show you can be used on short, hair or long hair or medium length, hair, and it's just super easy and accessible for everybody. In this video i'm going to be using these two claw clips and, as you can see, my pink one is a little bit bigger than my tortoise claw clip and it does hold a little bit more hair just because it is longer in length. So in the first style that i will be doing, i'm going to be using my tortoise styled claw clip it takes maybe 10 seconds to do so. We love quick and easy. So i'm going to use this, and i always do this as soon as i'm out of the shower just to put my hair back and out of the way - and i will essentially just push all my hair back behind my shoulders and simply i should probably stand On this side, but i will simply drag it above my ear and clip like that, whether you're cooking in the kitchen or whether you're doing something with your hands. It just keeps all of your hair away from your face and it's super cute and chic, and what you could do as well is take a couple pieces from the front and go like that super easy. We are going to use the pink claw clip and i like to call this the twist and lock, and the reason why i call it the twist and lock is because you are essentially just twisting all your hair behind your head and locking it in with the Clock clips, but i will start with having my money pieces framing my face and pulling the rest of my hair back, just as you would, if you were about to do a low pony, but i will grab everything from behind. I will begin to then twist. My hair and spin it and hold it up against my head i'll. Take my clock clip, so you see what i meant by the twist and lock it method i twisted it and then i locked it in with my claw clip. If you have long hair or medium hair or short hair, you can have these little pieces sticking out. The top or you can kind of tuck them in, but i think it adds an extra little fun flair to have these little fun pieces sticking out the top. So this next style is just like the twist and lock method, but instead of starting at the base of your head, we are going to start at a higher point as if you are applying a ponytail regularly. I suppose so. What we're going to start by doing is gathering all of our hair and just like the last one, we are going to twist and lock, but we are going to do it upside down, which is a little bit trickier and it can take a couple times to Really get it right, but we're gon na do it together, so i will start to twist it just like we did the last one, but instead of going up, we are going to twist down and almost in a circle like fashion and kind of tuck. These guys under take our little clock, clip and clip the whole bun closer to the top of our head versus more at this lower point like the last one. I love this style just because it looks really clean and i almost dare i say, get a bit of an audrey hepburn sort of vibe. When i see this hairstyle and again it's parted in the middle, it is sleeked back and you can pull pieces to the front if that's more your vibe, but i really like this style. It is super easy to do.
